IDVD6 burning but not closing out disc?

I am still perplexed as to why iDVD 6 is burning discs that Titanium Toast 6 finds defective for copying purposes. The toast dialogue box reads "The content on disc to be copied cannot be unmounted. All open files and programs on this volume must be closed first." So I quit Toast and opened the iDVD 6 burned disc on my desktop, the VIDEO_TS folder contains 9 items, while the AUDIO_TS folder contains NO items. I immeditely removed the DVD, and replaced it with another disc I burned with iDVD 6 last month and also have not been able to copy. That disc showed up exactly the same.. the VIDEO_TS folder contains 9 items, while the AUDIO_TS folder contains NO items. Is this normal, or could it point to the problem? These are the only 2 projects that I've created with iDVD 6. In both instances I mastered my fcp project to MiniDv tape> redigitized that tape into iMovieHD (careful not to use HD settings) and then moved the finished iMovie project directly to iDVD from within the iMovieHD app. I am stuck with burning in iDVD because it is the only one of my 3 DVD encoders that I understand well enough to design something that looks good.

Yes. The audio folder is normally empty anyway.
Have no idea why toast won't burn additional copies for you but try this:
drag and drop these 2 items to the trash (empty the trash) and restart your mac)
com.apple.iDVD.plist
com.roxio.Toast.plist
Also, repair permissions using apple's disc utilities for main HD.

Hyperlinks not closing out in RH

Here's another odd behavior:
When I bring my FM book into RH, my hyperlinks are not closed
out in the converted content in RH. In FM, the hyperlinks are
correctly inserted using the gotolink and newlink Hypertext
markers. Yet in RH, the rest of the sentence in which the hyperlink
appears is also erroneously tagged as part of the hyperlink.
Is this is a bug? Has anyone else seen this behavior and if
so, how did you fix it?

Hello Michael,
This is not an issue, you'd always get the hyperlinks
appearing corrcetly without any tagging in the Design view of RH.
Just try to close and reopen the topic in the Design view or try to
view it in preview - it shoudl appear correctly.

Every since I upgraded to iTunes 12 I am not able to burn a certain playlist to a disc. Other playlists will burn, but not this certain one.

All other playlists will burn fine, but not this one. I can even burn these individual songs to a disc but as soon as I put them all together in a play list and attempt to burn it to a disc it says, "The attempt to burn a disc failed. The disk could not be read from or written to". I have tried multiple discs, but it doesn't help. I have even used some of the discs that didn't work to burn this particular playlist, to burn OTHER playlists. I have tried moving the songs around in a different order also. Nothing seems to work. I have never had this problem before and I am not sure what to do about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

You cannot remove the software update notification. It will not go away. If you have the iPad2, you can update the device to iOS 6.0.1. It is your choice to not update, but you cannot remove the update notification.

I inserted a new DVD in my mac book pro, its working and the drive is reading the dvd but unfortunately is not coming out. I have tried several ways mentioned on all over the net and apple community websites but nothing has worked so far.
I need a easier and manual way to eject the DVD. Where is apple's help?
Please help me. This is one of the weaknesses Apple should work on because it is causing us pain and loss of efficiency which is not apple's quality.

Thanks for asking, actually I just found a trick on a website.
It siad that restart MBP while holding eject button, I did it and DVD came out right away.
I hope that this works out for everyone.
But still there is a need for a manual eject system so that people don't worry about stucking the DVD or CD in th drive.

Invoice cancelled but not closed

I canceled an invoice using vf11. The S1 canceling document was created but not released to finance. The next day when I tried to release into FI using vf02 I encountered the below message: "Post.Date is infer.to the date of the last posted doc. with same n° range". Can you please advice what should I do to create the accounting document and match it with the invoice?

This is not the standard error but due to customized process. Check with your technical team as to why and what validation is there preventing the process.

PE 8 burns DVD, but not Blu-ray disc

I have recently updated to PE 8.01 but all of this took place before the update. I successfully burned a 1 hour HD Blu-ray with no problem (all video from Canon HF200 and pictures from Canon Rebel xti). I then tried to burn a different project that was 2 1/2 hours long. In this disc, I did include a short AVI file from a camera (maybe this is why??). I had to cut video out because it kept telling me I didn't have enough room on the blu ray, even though my total was under the 25 gig storage capacity of the blu-ray disc. Each time I cut video/pictures it shut the program down and I had to restart the program about 6 times. I finally chose to compress to fit and it failed to burn to a blu-ray and blue screened our computer after 14 hours of enocoding and burning. Then I tried to compress it to a DVD and it burned successfully in 6 hours. I thought it might burn to blu-ray so I tried again and it blue screened our computer after 6 hours (it was 75% complete).
Computer is a HP Pavilion Elite. Intel I-9 processor, 12 gigs RAM, it has two 1 Terabyte hardrives, and has GPU invidia. I bought this computer ONLY to render HD to blu-ray DVD. It seems to take a long time and then blue screens my computer. Any suggestions?

The OS and drivers on a new PC are always out-of-date because the system master will have been created well before its sale. So do some of the basics first:
Install all Windows updates
Install latest version of QuickTime (v7.6.6 at time of writing)
Install most recent graphics and sound drivers from the manufacturers web sites
Check for a firmware update for your Blu-Ray drive
Run Disk Cleanup
Run Defragmenter

Hi Nick, do you mean the Mozilla Foundation form that is currently featured on the built-in Firefox home page? I'm not aware of a different form at this time. Unless you need to give in the next 48 hours to qualify for a possible 2013 tax year charitable contribution, maybe hold that thought until someone from the Mozilla Foundation can answer the question. (I think they're closed for the holiday week until 2014.)

Drives burning, but not recognizing burned disk

I've been burning some DVD disks lately, to make room on my hard drive. When I burn the disks (I am using the system software) they show up on my desktop, and are searchable... as long as I don't eject them. once I eject the disk and reinsert it, it shows up as a blank CD. FYI- I'm using burn folders, and I can see that the disk has been written on. Oddly, this happened to both drives at the same time, so I don't think it's a hardware issue. A re-start did not resolve the issue.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately i have no advice, but i am having the same issue... perhaps.
Just recently i've had DVD player report that a couple of DVD's were the wrong region, though both drive and discs were region 1. I have an old external DVD drive and they played fine from that.
Then i tried to mount an archival disk written a few months ago and it read as blank. The external drive also read that. I wrote new copies of the archive, one with Toast and one with Disk Utility.
Both wrote, verified, and mounted on the desktop, but as soon as they had been ejected and put back in, the OS reported i had inserted "a blank DVD".
Until i read that you had the problem on two drives, i assumed it must be hardware.
It now seems that anything i write with the built-in drive exhibits the same behavior.

IDVD- transitions ok in preview but not in final disc

Hi guys!
this is my first iDVD project. I just wanted to create some slideshows from my last trip, add some music. The first disc I burned was perfect, used the default preset of "Best performace", but then I though of adding some titles to indicate what was in some pictures and burned it again using "Professional quality" setting this time. The problem is that ONE out of six slideshows didn't burn its transitions correctly. I get the menu screen between each picture instead of the "dissolve" effect that I had selected. Is very annoying and the slideshow looks all chopped off. I have checked my preview and everything seems correct. The dissolve transitions work correctly, but when I burn it, they get messed up. I have tried burning it twice with the same disastrous results and wouldn't want to waste more DVD discs.
Any ideas?

Catch Exception shape - working in inner loop but not in outer loop

Hello,
I'm trying to use the catch exception shape for the first time. My orchestration has 3 loops. I'll call them loop1, loop2, loop3 where loop3 is my inner most loop. I'm able to catch the exact same error on the inner most loop3 but the outer
loop2 doesn't catch it and just puts a warning in the event viewer ( have no catch or scope on loop1 yet).
I can't figure out what the difference is.
The one that is not caught just has the dehydrated message and orchestration saying it will try again. then 5 mins later it does log an error and terminates but my catch is still not catching it.
Below in bold is the 'uncaught' warning message and the caught error message respectively. They look exactly the same to me, so why would the inner be caught but outer NOT caught? they're both catching the same type which is System.SystemException.
I couldn't get either to catch a System.FormatException but that's a different issue I'll solve later.
this is the warning from the UNCAUGHT error:
The adapter failed to transmit message going to send port "WcfSendPort_SqlAdapterBinding_TypedProcedures_dbo_uspEncounterAdd" with URL "mssql://sqldev1//AllianceDB?InboundId=uspEncounterAdd". It will be retransmitted after the retry interval

It turns out that my outer loop2 was catching the error. It was just retrying 3 times before it would catch it (I forgot that I had set the retry count to 0 on the loop3 inner port). I was so impatient that I was stopping my orchestration
before it was actually catching it!

I have a A1312 computer but not original install discs. Where can I get replacements

I have an A1312 Mac and I want to install a solid state hard drive. But I do not have the original install discs. My OSX10.9.2

You can boot that computer using the retail copy of Snow Leopard:

Replacement DVDs usually cost about $50.00. This is a little cheaper. Maybe you can tell us exactly what your final goal is? For example, after you install the SSD what do you plan to do with the HDD? Do you have an external drive enclosure in which you could put your HDD to use while getting the new SSD set up? Or, do you plan to get an OWC DataDoubler in order to put your HDD in the space occupied by your optical drive?

DVD is burning but not showing

I've used iDVD many times. This project (routine family). First burn? Only title page with music and motion. click on play it says not permitted. I went back to the "tree". Only 2 frames visible. Didn't have a pic on the title background. Drug one over, looked at the tree, big tree, lotsa frames. I Burned it. It burned twice as much DVD as first try. But same problem.
I read ahead and dumped iDVD plist. Nothing.
I have a Macpro, 2 gigs, plenty of HD space 2.66 ghrz.

Try 'saving as disk image' and see if that goes successfully. Then, burn disks from the disk image using Disk Utility.
Using any chapter markers?
Trashing plist is always a good idea Sorry it didn't work.

Deskjet 2540 Scanning A4 Documents but not printing out as a A4 Document

I am scanning a A4 document then printing it straight off the copier but after the printing has stopped their is a15mm edge missing off the printed document either the Top or the Bottom depending how you place it on the glass.I have made sure that the setting is on A4 size to scan and copy i have even put the setting on entire scan area but this makes no difference.I have cleaned-Ink Cartridges-Printer,and aligned ink cartridges as well.I am running Windows 7 64 bit

Airport connected to internet but not putting out wireless

Hey there,
Have a G5 connected directly to an airport extreme that is connected to the internet just fine. Not the new generation airport extreme.
My POWERBOOK G4 is not showing a wireless signal at all and usually does. I checked the powerbooks system preferences, network, airport status and it says, "Airport is connected to the network. Airport has a self assigned IP address and may not able to connect to the internet." The airport is connected to the airport because my G5 is directly connected through it.
This set up has worked before but I'm not sure when it stopped because I haven't been using my powerbook for some time.
Both computers are running OS 10.3.9 Both can connect to the internet directly through the airport. All the setting are set in the airport set up.
Anyone have any idea how to get this wireless set up back up and running ?

Okay, looking at the Airport Admin Utility.
INternet> configured manually (won't work automatic)
Network> Distribute IP address is checked.
And Share a single address is checked. Use 10.0.1.1 adressing is selected
IF I uncheck "Distribute IP address" then Airport can't connect to the internet.
I can't get Share A Range of IP address to even take the number I type in.
The thing of all this is it used to work.
One thing that happened is I tried a different internet provider, didn't like, changed back to my usual service. Maybe that is when this started because like I said I haven't tried using my powerbook for a while so I'm not sure.
In any case it seems like its just a matter of settings since this set up has worked for years.
Maybe sharing my settings with give some clues ?
