Hi,
This is how App Store app shows now when an app is downloading. If you cannot download anything, go to Settings > iTunes & App Store, remove your Apple ID, and set it again. That should work.

I think you might be answering your own question though when you ask if the workshops are free. You are not going to get the type of instruction - if you get any at all - from a reseller like you will get at an Apple Store. The Apple Store will set the device up for you if you want them to do so.

Yesterday I was told that my ipad which I finished paying off in March (18)month loan , could not be fixed. The warranty had run out 150 days ago, it was now useless! The solution is to put out 299 dollars for a replacement! I am saddened, shocked and very diasappointed in apple products. This is my only computer, I waited to get this version ipad so I could finance it, and am dependent on it for Bill paying, etc.. there are some things you can try. I'm sure you've done the reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds until you see the silver apple. See if it'll reboot.
You can also try to restore your iPad. You may need to borrow a friend's computer to do this.
If you have another apple store in the area you can make an appointment and take it in for a second opinion. however, once that device is out of its factory warranty period Apple is pretty much done with it. You get a year, two if you buy the extended warranty, then once it hits that deadline, all you'll ever get is an out of warranty replacement (which is what you were offered). Then it's up to you to decide if you replace it with your same model, put the money towards a newer model, or choose something else. (for me, I have an ipad 2, which is 2.5 years old, so if something goes wrong with it I either toss 249 at a practically defunkt device or put the money towards somethine else that will have a longer life span)

The headphones have the same one-year warranty as the rest of the hardware. But it still can't hurt to ask an Apple store agent about replacements. Realistically, though, you'll probably just ahve to buy a new pair.

New buyer question: can I sync my new iPod Touch in the Apple Store?

I'm heading to Florida in 5 days (I live in the UK), where I'll be buying my iPod Touch (well, I'll hang off as long as possible to try and catch a price-drop or upgrade after 11 July).
However, it's looking unlikely that I'll have my laptop with me, so I won't be able to sync up to my iTunes library until I get back home to the UK.
Do you think the staff in the Apple Store would sync and register it for me, so that I can at least use the wi-fi etc. until I get home? I don't want any music or videos on it until I get home, so I don't need anything like that.

You could ask.
They may let you plug it to register it so you can use it.
I doubt they would let you sync it since that would put the music from the computer you are connecting it to.

Once I find the game i will truly screenshot that it states "not compatible for these models". I just find it RIDICULOUS that my iPod touch is in good condition and some of the applications that I want download sometimes are not compatible with my iPod touch 4g. The music files, were they bought from your iTunes account or did someone gift them to you after buying from the iTunes account? If they are yours you can download them again if you clear or de-authorise the ipod, it has to be done by whoever gave you the ipod to do this (the registered owner). If they were bought for you on another itunes account I don't think Apple let you use them as they are copyrighted and they don't belong to you, they belong to the person who bought them. If the music files where ripped from music cd's then click and drag them to a new folder on your desktop and have the person who gave you the ipod to de-authorise and unregister it. Then you re register it and put your files back from your desktop folder in your iTunes folder and synch. Hopefully that would work. Any files which you did not buy, I would not know how get around this, best bet is to take it to you nearest Apple Store and explain that they were gifted to you and ask how you can use them. The best way to gift music files is to buy the gift tokens and give these. Hope above helps.

No, you should have Restrictions OFF.
Computer's iTunes > Preferences > Parental Preferences > everything should be unchecked.

If after you charge it for about three hours and it only last about five minutes the battery is probably dead or there could be another hardware problem. I would go back to the Apple store and ask them specifically how can it be OK if the fully charged battery only lasts five minutes.

If it is still under warranty you can call the 800 number to apple and enter the serial number and it will tell you if it is under warranty or not if not its like $30 basically for them to help or something like that it said today when i called...
Or take it to a genius bar if you have one near?
