If I load a Final Cut Pro x Library into Dropbox is it okay to delete the Library from my hard drive?

I am trying to make space on my hard drive. If I need the contents of a library, can I retrieve at a later date from Dropbox/

In Final Cut Pro I was trying to move an Event Library from one hard drive to another as explained in the Help section. After doing so, I received a message that my event is already open with the same identifier as the new one I just created on the new disk. It says the second document cannot be opened and to move one of these documents out of your Final Cut Events folder. It also says to avoid this problem, copy events from within Final Cut Pro, but that is what I did in the first place. What should I do to avoid the double opening conflict?

Open the Mac App Store and go to Purchases. Do you see Final Cut Pro X listed?
If so, open a Finder window, choose Applications in the sidebar and delete Final Cut Pro X. Then, go to the Mac App Store and download Final Cut Pro X for free.
If you don't see it in Purchases, see if it's hidden, and if so, unhide it > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4928 If it doesn't work, contact with the Mac App Store support > http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/contact

Why is there several seconds of black running time at the end of the videos I am producing in Final Cut Pro X? There is no gap or effect ant the end of the project.

At the end of some of my projects the cursor runs over the end of the project for app. 3 seconds. When rendering the project Final Cut Pro X adds app. 3 seconds of black to the video. There is no effect or gap or something else at the end of the project.

First, did you use Setup or Migration Assistant? That can happen when coming from a PowerMac or sometimes even from another (Intel) Mac.
Second, wait for the next version of Final Cut due very soon to ship (may have to wait for the ".1" of course to clean up any early issues.

I wonder if Dropbox updating process will consider a Final Cut Pro X library a single file or it updates only the items changed inside the package.
This is very important in order to share projects and let different users update only what they change in the timeline, not in the media

Yep, had this problem a week ago. Did the "clean up" and spent hours trying to figure out why my share menue was greyed out a few days later. Decided to unistal FCP X and reinstal it. Share menue was fine. Did another "clean up" tongiht and the same thing happened! Unistal, reinstal FCP X and all is well again.

If you want the menus and dialogues of the app to be in Arabic, that's not possible, there is no Arabic version of this software.
If you just want to write Arabic language titles, etc., the language of the app is irrelevant, the input of different languages is handled by the OS, and Arabic input is always available.
All Apple software is multilingual, no matter where you buy it. For example, the user interface for Final Cut Pro can be switched among English, Chinese, French, German, and Japanese.

also, make sure the external is mounted on either machine before launching iTunes.

Any media used in FCE can be used in FCP. No third party software is required.
You cannot take an FCE project to FCP. 7toX will not help as FCE has no XML export.

I want to set up a Canon 5D video camera and feed the Canon's video output into the MacBook Pro so that I can use the vectorscope in Final Cut Pro to adjust the exposure of the Canon 5D. Basically I don't want to buy a vectorscope to have on set to make sure the picture is properly exposed and color balance is correct. (In your response it doesn't have to be the full scenario I've described. If you can just tell me if there's a way to feed live video into the MacBook and display it on the screen and possibly record it, then I'll figure out the rest.)

Thanks for your help. Apple and I dealt with this. It was an FCP, NOT Motion problem. As It seems you understand, we simply trashed my FCP prefs. Problem went right away.

Final Cut Pro X (10.1.1) can't be opened because "the image is not recognized".

I have tried to download the trail version of Final Cut Pro X (10.1.1) twice but every time it has been downloaded my computer tells me it can't be opened because "the image is not recognized".
Do any of you have a similar problem or know a solution?

Also having this issue, Im on OSX Yosimite 10.10.1 trying to download the 30 day trial version of Final Cut Pro 10.1.4
MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011)
Processor: 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5
Mem: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
I have downloaded the 30 day trial of Final Cut Pro from https://www.apple.com/ie/final-cut-pro/trial/
The file which gets downloaded is "FinalCutProTrial10.1.4.dmg"
The size of this file is 2,147,487,419 bytes (as viewed in the inspector)
I would be interested to hear from anyone who installed this successfully whether the DMG file was the exact same size (although I have a feeling I wont hear anything as most people would delete the DMG file after installing).
