If my IPHONE 5 order status has changed from "processing" to "preparing for delivery" is there a chance I will receive it sooner than the 10/5 date that it is scheduled for?

I pre-ordered my iPhone 5 on 9/15 at 4am EST. It said shipping in 2 weeks with an delivery date of 10/5... yadda yadda yadda. This morning my order status showed as 'processing'. This afternoon it changed to 'preparing for delivery'. Is there a chance I will now receive before 10/5? Trying to plan accordingly. Thanks in advance for any info you can give.

I was in the same boat. I ordered @ 5:09AM EST on 9/14 and had the 10/5 delivery date. My status changed from processing to preparing to ship yesterday 9/21. I got an e-mail from Apple @ 4:22AM this morning 9/22 that it has shipped (along with the precious tracking #)! I would expect it would arrive by this Friday 9/28 at the latest.

The delivery time of 4 to 6 weeks in UK is just the rough estimate and indicates that it will be at the most 4 - 6 weeks incase of any shipping and delivery issues.
You will definitely receive your new macbook much before the mentioned date.
The Gold edition is relatively more fancier and exclusive in looks so currently there are high demands compared to the space grey and regular silver variant. Rest assured.....

Find my iphone - picture has changed from a black ipod to a white one

My son's black ipod touch has gone missing, and we've tracked it using Find My Iphone to a house 15 miles away.
Strangely, the picture of the ipod has changed from a black ipod touch to a white one.
Is there something that the person who has "found" the ipod can do to affect this, or is it possible that the tracking has gone awry?
Any help would be appreciated.

I noticed the same thing on mine. The Apple Store Genius informed me that after the white iPod touch came out, they began using that as the stock photo. If you asked Apple to check their records for devices registered to you, it would show up as the proper color - black.

After loading the latest Aperture 3 update, aperture will not load and it appears to have corrupted 10.6. 10.6.7 now appears to be missing from the computer and my administrator status has changed to standard.

PROBLEM SOLVED! For me at least!
Apple Support gave me the clue - I had run Migration Assistant, and it had obligingly replaced a system file (/Library/Frameworks/PluginManager.framework/Versions/B/PluginManager) with the equivalent from my old system.
I reinstalled 10.6.7 using the DVD supplied and all is well.
The moral is - don't use Migration Assistant.
Along the way Apple Support provided me with a link to download Combo update 10.6.7: this could not be installed on my iMac.

You will need to purchase the upgrade CD for 10.6 from the Apple Online store, OR you can likely get one at an Apple Retail Store. It is the last version that was available on CD. After 10.6, the upgrades are available in the Mac App Store.

There is a serious issue raised in the parallel thread, which is critical for many people: "Status keeps changing from invisible to online" (initiated on ‎16-11-2014 by b.agne, Mac section). In short, when starting using a device, the Skype status changing from "invisible" to "online" - sometimes just for a moment, though enough for others to notice you. These affects very much any type of devices. I am sure the issue has already led to multiple personal crisises and potentially financial losses due to buseness partnership issues (I came close to that myself, and now use anything but Skype for business). The question is: WHY the issue is completely ignored by Skype, Microsoft and expert comunity? Hi, I also have the same issue. I change the status to Invisible and a later on it is already as "Online", without having even touched/opened Skype. The only way that I see this may happen is that I have the app installed on the smartphone, but before it never had this issue, but from some month ago it started. I've seen this on two handsets, both after updating the IOS from 4.0.2 to 4.1.0 so I presume the Tesco operator logo has now been included in the OS where it wasn't before. Tesco is an MVNO operating on the o2 network, you can set your own logo to be displayed without jailbreaking, a quick search on google returned a couple of results. Time measure has changed from frames to centesimal.

After upgrading from QT 7.2 (or 7.1) to 7.5 today the time measument in the film info window has changed from showing the time in frames to showing it in seconds with decimals.
Now shows time as 00:00:03:96 instead of 00:00:03:24.
I have looked around in the settings but can't find anything related to this.
I use QT-player for animation production, I need to have time displayed as frames.
Is there some way to change this or do I have to revert to my old version (not working with Firefox3)?

Yes, thanks, I've noticed that change which is nifty.
But it doesn't change the time display in the info window where before, I could have the time displayed as minutes:seconds:frames. With the new display I can have frames only, not seconds:frames.
