IFolder Client V 3.8.0.3 port usage

Hello,
I'm new here and i've got a problem which i didn't find the answer to it.
I'm using iFolder 3.8 server over SSL, configured to work on port 60500 instade of default 443.
web access is working very well, and before I changed the port, the client worked as well.
But now, after i chage the port, it seems like the client connecting but I can't see iFolders in the server I can ONLY create a new one, BTW, it's also syncing.
Anyhow I can't watch existing iFolders on the server!
I captured the connection packets with wireshark, at start it seems to work well on port 60500, but suddenly the client is trying to communicate on port 443 (sending SYN).
However the connection on port 60500 won't stop.
Does anyone had this problem before, or knows how to solve it?
Thanks alot.

  • Ifolder client encounted an error while connecting to server

Windows 7 64 bit client give me an error when i try to connect to my i folder system. An error was encountered while connecting to ifolder server. please verify the information entered and try again if the problem persists, please contact your network administrator.
The server is a suse server that I have setup with LDAP authencation
This server works on the web interface and on my linux client but as soon as i try to connect a windows client to it i am unable to connect.
I have tried this with fresh install of ifolder 3.7 server & ifolder 3.8 server
I have tried this with ifolder client 3.8.0 & 3.8.0.3
I have tried both the fqdn and the ip to connect to the server
I have tried both ssl and nonssl in my settings.
I have tried running as administrator
I have tried reinstalling the client several times
    I have rebooted the server.
I enabled debug mode on the server interface and i see no connection errors in there.
The questions i have is where is the log file for the windows client?
Is there an easy fix for this issue?
Why does my web interface and linux client work and not my windows 7 one?
Is there any other information you will need to help me fix this issue?
    Thanks,

    Hi
When connecting via the windows client, did you get a certificate
request? Is the LDAP(S) port open on the server?

  • IFolder Client error: Not enough space on the iFolder server

iFolder client gets the following error:
iFolder synchronization cannot complete because you don't have enough space on the server.
Free space on the server = 464 MB (total space available 3000 MB)
Space needed to complete synchronization = 2536 MB.
Please free up space in your iolder and click OK.
Click Cancel to cancel to sync.
iFolder client log looks like this:
    13.3.2011 23:40:46 Synchronizing with server...
    13.3.2011 23:40:48 Synchronization failed
The volume size is 36 GB and it has free space 20% = 7 GB.
So there is enough space to the iFolder sync.
iFolder host is NetWare 6.5.8 server and iFolder version is 2.1.8
The same iFolder is synced from two (2) PC's, a desktop (XP SP3) and notebook (W7 SP1 32bit). Both have been working for long time.
The problems are seen on notebook using Windows 7. The Windows 7 (32-bit) OS has updated with SP1 on Saturday (May 12th.2011). After the update iFolder worked but on Sunday evening the errors started.
iFolder client (2.1.8) has removed and reinstalled. First the client seemed to work OK, but after the sync of last file, the error reoccured again.
iFolder sync partially works: files and folders created on desktop PC are synced to notebook.
But files created on notebook are not synced to desktop.
Any tips how to repair or troubleshoot?
    Kind Regards, Harri

464 MB is less than 2536 MB so error message is correct.

Is there perhaps a volume or directory quota in place that would affect
    the sync?

Noting your follow-up reply re uninstall of Windows 7 SP1 I'll flag that
the iFolder 2.0 client is not supported on Windows 7 - it would have
been released before Windows 7 and certainly not updated for it (OES
    Linux introduced iFolder 3).

  • Ifolder client as a windows service

client request, is it possible to run the ifolder client as a windows
service so we can sync a windows "file server" pc to ifolder without logging
    in after a reboot?
I guess this would be similar to running DropBox as a service

anybody tried this? or have any experience?

I have used many app as a service so the app doesn't interact with a desktop by using srvany which is included in the Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools.
Although i have more recently moved to nssm almost a direct drop in replacement because it has better error handling of crashed apps that it is running as a a service.
    Check it out here

  • Ifolder Client on openSUSE 11.4

    Hi any and all.
I've just upgraded a machine to openSUSE 11.4 x66, and can't seem to make the ifolder client run on it.
I've tried both the default from the OSS repo, and the buildservice version from
    Index of /repositories/network:/ifolder:/Factory/openSUSE_11.4
Presently with the latter repo, when I launch the splash appears for about 5 seconds, and then dies with the following error to console
    > ifolder --showconsole
Error: Cannot start the local web services.
Error: The Simias process failed to initialize.
Use the command line switch --showconsole to view the error.

  • One iFolder client won't properly sync

We have an OES 2 SP2 with iFolder 3.8 installed.
We have about a dozen users, so far no one else has this issue. I was at a client and got a new laptop to use onsite, installed iFolder 3.8 client from the server (Same as on my other laptop, files are all dated Oct1, 2009)
But after correctly connecting, downloading the iFolder for the client, now, on a reboot or a restart of the iFolder client I see just the currently downloaded one, not the available iFolders (Yes, the View Available is ticked) and get told incomplete sync, and server unavailable.
Disconnect/connect does not error. I tried using a VPN tunnel via another client to see if it was their network, but seems not to be related.
And it worked for a while, then stopped, so I doubt it is the local firewall. (Windows FW is off, Symantec is installed, but I do not have rights to see its settings).
However, I can get to the http://server/iFolder and /admin interfaces via a web browser, and via HTTPS. So I am doubtful of firewall issues.
I set logging on the client to DEBUG and see this in the simias.log

    Very odd.

I try to uninstall .NET 2.0 & ifolder client, I still get the same result.
Who had seem similar issue like me, and could provide method for me ??
    thanks!!
    wyldkao

This error FERR_FILE_EXISTS comes when the db is already accessed by one process and another process is trying to access the same.
Could you check if simias.exe is already running. If so, kill it and restart.

  • How to find mac address of a client computer in specified time and port in WIFI WCS Control system

how to find mac address of a client computer in specified time and port in WIFI WCS Control system

    WCS record-keeping is very crude.
You'll get the time/date when the client authenticated.  You'll get the local inside address but you'll need the router to translate the outside IP address and the port.
You will need a proxy server to determine what sites did a wireless client goes.

  • IFolder Client on OpenSuSe 12.2

Hi, anybody out there with a bit more skill than me able suggest any tricks from getting the iFolder client up on OS 12.2?
It seems to install OK off a Factory package, but won't fire up.
Problem seems to be in GLib not mono (for once!)
-I can't quite figure out which runtime it has the version error with?
    Any ideas welcome!
    Code:
WARNING: The runtime version supported by this application is unavailable.
    Using default runtime: v2.0.50727
    (process:6424): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: gtype.c:2722: You forgot to call g_type_init()

For anyone else having a similar problem, it turns out the missing package I had to install was libgnomeui, which wasn't listed as a dependency.
I found it sort-of-by-accident, -I realised iFolder was working this morning and managed to "rpm -qa --last" my way to finding what did it!

  • IPIVR 8.0 port usage and monitor

    Hi All,
Couple of queires related to UCCX 8.0:
•- Is it possible to set an alert (email notification) if a set threshold of port usage is reached; so I can immediately come to know that the ports are about to exhaust
•- Is there any report / way to find out peak utilization of ports for given day / time interval. I know there is a historical report in Webview to see port utilization, but it gives average percentage of port utilization. So say if port utilization has reached peak for one minute in 30 minute interval; average percentage will be less than 100%.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
first, about that email alert: some assembly required.
You can do it the "polling the realtime tables" way or the "have each script check" way, or the "IP IVR Default script" way.
Polling realtime tables: write a simple script which takes a look every now and then (for instance 5-8 seconds) at the Network_Trunk_Group_Real_Time database view. There is a couple of columns to watch, for instance: AllTrunksBusyToday, CallsInToday, CallsInNow. If a threshold is met, send an email.
The second option: use an If node in your ICM script to check for the same/simliar values, from the NetworkTrunkGroup section. If a condition is met, have IP IVR (or an Application Gateway Application) send your alert.
The third option: for the Translation Routing application in UCCX, configure the maximum number of sessions to the number of ports available for that port group. Configure a default script for that application that sends an email. So any time the maximum number of sessions threshold is reached, the default script will be run and send your alert.
About historical port usage: again, take a look at the database schema. For instance, Network_Trunk_Group_Half_Hour.

  • WRT54G - won't display DHCP clients, won't let me change port forward

Just wondering if I need a new router....
It seems to never be able to display the DHCP clients table any more & when I try to forward a port to a connection, the table says it's forwarded, but it never actually changes it.
I upgraded the firmware to 8.00.7 (the latest for v8 hardware), did a hard reset and powered off to reset.
Still no luck....maybe it's just time for a new one?
    Any suggestions welcome.
    Thanks,
    Eric

I just recently got the same issue in regards to the DHCP on my WRT610n. On windows XP a simple right click of the connection, and clicking repair forced windows to flush the DNS and renew them. After than the machine showed up in the DHCP list on the router again (I guess for some reason the leases suddenly stopped being renewed). Unfortunately this appears to of been removed in Windows Vista and been replaced by some kind of automated diagnose and repair system (If no problem is found it does nothing. Unhelpful).
However if you go to start > run > type "cmd" and enter to bring up the prompt, then type ipconfig /flushdns and then after it's complete type ipconfig /registerdns, that should force it to renew it's DNS from the router and it may show up in the DHCP table once more on the router. There's also a ipconfig /renew command that renews all adapters. If you wish to find out more about the ipconfig commands and what each of them does before doing anything, feel free to type ipconfig /?
Unfortunately I haven't found a way to get my router to keep renewing the leases as usual, so I guess this is just a temporary solution to part of your problem. As for the router going to the wrong IP, I was going to suggest DHCP reservation but I've just found out you don't have that, so instead I've found this quick thread that may / may not be helpful to you as it points out a few interesting rules that Linksys operates by: Click Here
As for the Port not forwarding, I'm not really sure, I'm just another user with issues of my own. I hope that one of the mods/staff/more knowledgable techi/person on this forum addresses your issues better than I have soon. Though isn't port 80 the default http port, and thus automatically open anyway? Can you even assign that port to anything? I thought it'd be reserved and thus not usable. Have you tried assigning a different port and forwarding that instead? But then again I'm not the most knowledgable of people =P

  • Problem connecting only iFolder client

    Hi everyone,
I begn with iFolder 3.8 and I've a problem with connecting the client.
For information, I've 3 separate iFolder servers, two of them work perfectly !
So, on one, I can't connect the Windows Client, I've an error "iFolder can't connect, please check the informations" (translation from french).
If I try to connect on the web access, it's OK, no problem with that.
The Simias.log file says that the connexion is successful with the client but it's not...
I try to reinstall the server several times with simias-server-setup, ifolder-admin-setup and ifolder-web-setup but no effects.
If someone as already experienced this and solved this problem, thank you for your help.

OK, so I've solved my problem after hours.
I tried to reinstall completly the server and then, it works !
To conclude, if your iFolder server doesn't work at the first time, don't try to debug, format and reinstall.

  • Error while building iFolder client code on Ubuntu 11

I have checked out the code from the SVN repository and now want to change some source code and then build it.
    I ran -
    ./configure
    and then,
    make
but I get the following error -
    Makefile:1: *** missing separator. Stop.
This is what beginning of my Makefile looks like -
    if LINUX
    SUBDIRS = src help
    DIST_SUBDIRS = $(SUBDIRS) package
    else
    SUBDIRS = src help
    DIST_SUBDIRS = $(SUBDIRS) package
    endif
Can anybody share the steps needed to compile the client code on Ubuntu 11.
    Thanks.

  • Old Airport Express Ethernet Port Usage

    hi there
i have an older airport express (Model No A1264) bought some years back, it has only 1 ethernet port on it instead of 2 on the current model.
i understand the new model has 1 ethernet WAN port for modem, and the other LAN port for ethernet printer or computer.
my question is, the ethernet port on my old airport express is both WAN and LAN? or is it just a WAN port?
because i intend to get an airport extreme to hook up a optical fiber modem which will be located downstairs in my house.
and use my old airport express on the 2nd storey to hook up my etherenet printer, but not sure whether that ethernet port will work? or do i need to purchase the new model?
    many thanks in advance

    It no longer works.
Unplug the Express, let it rest a minute or two and plug it back it in.
    Try a different Ethernet cable.
If still no luck, test the connection by temporarily connecting a laptop to the Ethernet port on the Express using an Ethernet cable that you know is working. Turn off the wirelss on lthe laptop for the "test" and see if you can get a good Internet connection that way.
If you can, you know that the Ethernet port is working, and you will need to focus your troubleshooting on the printer.
If you still cannot get a good connection during the "test", this indicates that the Ethernet port on the Express is no longer working, and the Express will likely need to be replaced.

  • IE10&11 Dynamic port usage.

    Hello
Since we upgraded to IE10 on a 2008 R2 terminal server we're getting the error "This page cannot be displayed" After a few minutes it would start working again, I was able to reproduce the error by going to a site with a lot of images, like google
maps for example. I performed a netstat and saw that IE was using 100's of ports, it appears to open a new port for every connection to the remote server. As a result I think that with 10 or 15 people on the terminal server browsing the internet, the server
runs out of dynamic ports. Is there any way to make IE10&11 reuse TCP connections rather than opening new connections to the remote server, or a way to restrict the amount of ports it uses?
During testing I found that IE9, Firefox and Chrome do not act this way.

IE uses port 80 for browsing. If you need something specific that's not allowing your URL's to work, i would suggest you to capture the network traffic and check where the link is getting dropped.
