IFs classes into Database

I try to use this clases into my own class
import oracle.ifs.adk.user.UserManager;
import oracle.ifs.common.AttributeValue;
import oracle.ifs.beans.DirectoryUser;
import oracle.ifs.common.IfsException;
import java.util.Hashtable;
After that i try to use loadjava with my own class to store into the database but don't work properly
IFSUser:5: Class oracle.ifs.adk.user.UserManager not found in import.
IFSUser:6: Class oracle.ifs.common.AttributeValue not found in import.
IFSUser:7: Class oracle.ifs.beans.DirectoryUser not found in import.
IFSUser:8: Class oracle.ifs.common.IfsException not found in import.
Someone help me

You'll have to build your system in such a way so that executing your PL/SQL procedure (inside the database) will cause the iFS API call to execute (outside the database). There are different ways to achieve this goal. Some people have used Advanced Queueing to get this working...
Briefly, one design solution would be to have your PL/SQL procedure insert a row into some proxy table (an event of sorts) that would be read by a custom iFS process (again, running outside the database) which would then execute the iFS API call you need to run. I think this is how the AQ solution is usually designed. This may not be as synchronous as you would like, but it would work.
Perhaps you could structure your application so that it doesn't depend on PL/SQL but instead uses Java? Are you building a web application? Perhaps you could use a Servlet and JDBC? Doing it this way would enable you to work directly with the iFS API.

  • Problems loading IFS's java class into database

    I need store java procedures that allow connecting to ISF and managing files from external applications. The problem is when i try to load the repos.jar that contains the classes needed to work with IFS, using the command loadjava:
    loadjava -u user/pwd -v -r repos.jar
    the classes are loaded but unresolved due to error: ORA-29534. I follow the steps suggested by metalink's articles but the classes still with INVALID status in the database and i can't use this classes to develop the other classes that i need.
    Thanks for any suggest.
    FABIAN.

    The iFS Java API Classes cannot be used from with the database. This is not supported and will not work....
    If you need to access iFS functionaliy from within the database you will need to write an external java process that performs the IFS operations and communicate with that process from PL/SQL running inside the database using Advanced Queuing.

    The approaches open to me are:
    1. Write a custom doclet. Instead of writing to a file, enter into database using java.sql
    2. Parse the index-files generated by standard javadoc tool.
    3. Use reflection API - Short Description not available in that case.
    The questions that I have are:
    1. Is there any open source doclet that I can modify to get my job done?
    2. Is there an XML file of the Java API that I can download and parse?
    3. Which of the approaches I described above is the best?
    I will be really grateful if someone could help me out with code that already exists.
    Sushovan,
    A crazy junior

    Hello,
    As far as I understand, the basic thing you need is to have a doclet which takes certain data from Doclet API and export them into a certain basically plain-text file (that is XML or SQL file).
    We provide a solution exactly for that sort of tasks -- a template-driven customizable doclet, which outputs into HTML, RTF and plain TXT formats.
    Please, look at this page to find out more:
    http://www.filigris.com/products/docflex_javadoc/
    This tool is not for free (although, the price is laughable in comparison with the provided functionality). Also, there maybe a free solution about it. Just read "XML Generation" section on that page. If you have any specific questions, we are glad to hear from you.

  • Inserting blob data into database

    Hello everybody,
    I need insert blob data into database. that data i need to get from form
    can i use request.getParameter(""); for getting that file.
    Plz help how to get data from form to servlet and through callablestatement i need to insert into database.
    regards,
    Anil

    Hi,
    1) first create a form with file element
    first.jsp
    <form action="GetData" enctype="multipart/form-data" method="post">
    <input type="file" name="datafile" size="40">
    <input type="submit" value="Send">
    <input type="reset" name="Reset" value="Cancel">
    </form>
    GetData.java
    // servlet file
    public void doPost(HttpServletRequest req, HttpServletResponse res) throws ServletException, IOException
    res.setContentType("text/html");
    PrintWriter out = response.getWriter();
    try {
    System.setProperty( "jdbc.drivers", "com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver" );
    Class.forName( "com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver" );
    con = DriverManager.getConnection( "jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://localhost:1433;DatabaseName=JAVATEAM;SelectMethod=cursor;User=sa;Password=urpassword" );
    PreparedStatement pst = con.prepareStatement("insert into uploads(binaryfile) values(?)");
    FileInputStream fis=new FileInputStream(request.getParameter ( "datafile" ) );
    byte[] b= new byte[fis.available()+1];
    fis.read(b);
    pst.setBytes(1,b);
    pst.executeUpdate();
    pst.close();
    con.close();
    catch(SQLException e)
    out.println ( e);
    catch (ClassNotFoundException e)
    out.println( e );
    }Here in doPost(), i create preparedstatement,
    now you to create one procedure for insert
    and by using callable statement you just call that procedure and pass this byte b as arguments,
    now its in your hands
    my idea is over.

    Your Help will be very much appreciate.I am using SQL Server database

    The error concerns these two lines:
    boolean success = insertIntoDB("'" + FirstName + "','" + LastName + "','" + Email + "','" + Login + "','" + Password + "'");
    statement.execute("INSERT INTO Users(user_id,FirstName,LastName,Email,Login,Password) values (" + stringtoinsert + ");");
    In the first line above, you have a string which represents the VALUES which you are inserting. There are 5 values. However in the second line above this is your actual SQL execution you are specifying 6 columns of data. If the column "user_id" is an identity or auto-incrementing field in the database, just remove it from this line. If not then you need to supply the "UserID" into the VALUES.
    This should fix the problem.

  • How to Insert Hastables Into Database Through JDBC

    hi all,
    I have place the Data from the Hashtables Into the Database.I can place it by Iterating through the Hastables.I would Like to Place the Entire Hashtable Itself Into the Database.
    Can Any one tell me how?
    bye.

    Hi,
    Can anyone help me out how to insert image into
    database using struts...with dao n dto classes?If it matters whether or not you are using struts then you might have something wrong.
    Make sure you separate the database logic out.
    I know these types of questions are asked frequently, you might want to search the forum for additional examples.
    Here is a good one:

  • Download jar / java class from database

    Hello,
    I have database 10.2.0.3 with one procedure that calls some java class loaded in database. Unfortunately I don't have source code of that java class or whole jar that was loaded into database.
    I would like to download it from database and try to decompile it.
    Can you tell me how can I download some java classes from database?
    Everything I know is only the name of some java class that is used in one PL/SQL procedure (CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE ..... AS LANGUAGE JAVA)
    Thanks for some tips

    Can you tell me how can I download some java classes from database?You can use dbms_java.export_class procedure to export class as blob, then just save the blob to file.

  • Speed up process to create web forms that put info into database

    Hi All
    Basically what Im trying to ask is that I have been developing jsp pages with some javabeans to insert information into databases and then to insert/retreive this information. I have been doing this by hand and it takes time even though I have a library of beans that I have built overtime. My management wants me to deploy new forms within 30 minutes.
    Current method of creating forms
    ==========================
    1 - I make the form in dreamweaver
    2- Copy and paste the code into my IDE jpadpro
    3- Put in the bean connection in the jsp page and create new insert statement
    4 - Create the result page
    5- Ftp pages to server
    I am looking to speed the process of creating new forms which connect to ms sql server (insert) information. I have already invested in crystal reports to make reports which i think has cut my development time by 10 foldes. I am looking for something similar to insert information into the databases.
    If there is no such software then is there a java IDE where I can design web page forms visually (like dreamweaver/ microsoft infopath) and create the jdbc connections through wizards. I think microsofts visual studio does this, but i cant use this as i am working with j2ee with ms sql server database.
    I am currently looking into eclipse with the myeclipse plugin to see if it will speed things up. Any suggestions from anyone most welcomed.
    Also will JSF be better to use?
    Regards
    Antek

    Cutting down development times of forms applications is probably why they created Formular (http://formular.redeye.no/ ).
    In my company, we use Formular to define the data we wish to collect. We do this in XML. The XML is pretty straight forward to grasp. Formular uses this XML to generate the actual HTML form so you do not need to build several JSPs for each form you display. Formular handles multiple pages gracefully.
    After building a few forms this way, you quickly learn ways to save time by establishing a library of commonly used components such as data field validators.
    These are components you always end up using in many forms (such as data formating, value range checks, required checks, etc.).
    The Formular package allows you to reuse those.
    The other fine feature is the availability of data sources. These are classes that Formular uses to populate your forms (or example generate select lists, or radio buttons from data you have in a database or even a file).
    Finally, you might be lucky to be in a position to create a single form processing model for your applications. What we have is a generic form processing class that receives data collected by Formular, and use the configuration data from the XML to determine how that data will be handled. You could for instance have a class that you call/invoke dynamically depending on how the form is configured.
    I use the XML file custom parameters for this (these params and their values are invisible to the user but accessible by the generic form handler that comes with the package).
    You might use these to specify the table you want that form to be posted into, and also maybe even specify exactly which fields.
    For our usage, this package is of great value, and we found the licensing costs very attractive. A license is around 43 dollars per site if I remember well.
    For the amount of work you put in, I'd recommend this software for you to evaluate.

  • How to download a java class from database to file system

    Hi All,
    We have one invalid java class in database. We need to verify what is the functionality of this class. So we planned to download this class to file system. Then we need decompile it to source. But we are not able to identify the right command to download the java class from database.
    Please suggest me if any possible ways to acheive this.
    Thanks in advance....

  • How can I make an easy *.CSV file to load into database table

    Hi All,
    I have a huge excel sheet having columns item#, description and qty. The description column sometimes maybe one word name, two word name separated with space or may be , spearated name. I want to write and PL/SQl code which will read this file and load it into database table. Now the *.CSV file is either comma delimited or tab text delmited which both do not solve my issue. Is there any better solution with anyone which can prevent the manual editing to the *.CSV file and I can easily load it to table.
    Your help is appreciated,
    Thanks
    Zahir

    SQL*Loader is probably the fastest method, but since you specifically asked for a PL/SQL method:
