Im trying to install firefox beta but im afried if i di i might lose all my bookmarks and add ons so is installing it going to erase it or not?

Do not use any option to remove personal information, whether from a Firefox or a Windows prompt. You do not even need to uninstall the existing Firefox version.
As long as you follow the suggestions above you will be ok. Firefox will install the Beta over the existing Release without removing your bookmarks.
Additionally it is good practice to occasionally backup your bookmarks manually.

So as a belts and braces procedure why not back them up first.
It is possible to install and run multiple versions of Firefox. Although easy that is often considered advanced or is unnecessary.

What is supposed to happen is that when you install the beta, it detects that you already have a Firefox settings folder and it just replaces the program files. However, you're right that there is a small risk of data loss.
A backup is a great idea. These articles should help:

You shouldn't wait that long to ask advice. Firefox only keeps a (rotating) backup of bookmarks for the last 5 days that you started Firefox. So you may be out of luck.
You can check that you still use your old default profile that had your bookmarks.<br />

If you see disabled extensions that are not compatible on the next start in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the "Find Updates" button to do a compatibility check. -
After updating to Firefox 9 I have lost all my Bookmarks and Add ons
Firefox updated it's self to version 9.0.1. When I opened Firefox all my bookmarks and add ons where gone.

This turned out to be the root cause for my problem. Simply renamed the
places.sqlite.corrupt file to places.sqlite and my profile (including bookmarks) worked again. Thanks!
By the way, I first noticed that something was wrong with my _profile_ when, in addition to lost bookmarks, I noticed that I couldn't create _new_ bookmarks. Also was not able to restore bookmarks from a backup .json file. So I created a new profile, and was able to restore the bookmarks from the original profile's backup. After rebooting my PC to finish Norton's installation, I opened Firefox and all of my bookmarks and add-ons were gone. My persona was also missing, too. Is there any way to remedy this without having to go through and re-bookmark every page?

If it backed up to my laptop, that died and I just got the new computer. The one that's crashed won't even boot, so there's no way to even tell if it was syncing the contacts along with all the phone photos. Literally happened at the same time - it was because I had the new computer that I was finally able to pull the photos off the phone and make room for the upgrade. It had refused to upgrade for lack of space for some time.
I had thought it was set to sync to iCloud but it vanished from BOTH my phone and the cloud. That's why I'm so angry about it. -

Unfortunately Firefox Sync isn't meant to be used as a backup device, but merely to sync data between multiple devices. So it is not guaranteed that you can restore data from the Sync server.

HOW can I retrieve the old information from the UNinstalled Mozilla to add to the newly installed Mozilla? Please help. I have several hundred bookmarks and a few favorite add-ons missing. I hope they were not completely wiped during the uninstall - but only your programmers know how the UN-install function works and whether or not residual files are left on the computer.

See above. Video will play automatically if on youtube, but I can't pause it, etc... Also if the video is embedded in a different website, I'll click play and nothing will happen.
Have tried clearing cache.

Whenever I log off of my computer I get a message "NSAppshell event window," which slows down the performance of Mozilla and anything else we're trying to run on our computer. We're forced to log off and on to reboot and this happens nearly all the time. We have tried disabling all add-ons and plug-ins, to no avail. We are using Mozilla 4.0. Thanks for any help you can provide, as we don't want to go back to using Internet Explorer if we can help it.

The Firefox button is not available on the Mac, this is due to the way that the Mac handles menus.
For the Mac, to access the add-ons manager, in the Tools menu select Add-ons. -

Help not sure where to look for a reply, E-mal address is [email protected]To change the iCloud ID on your phone you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the new ID. If you only changed your ID and didn't create an entirely new ID, you can choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted. Your data will download back to your phone when you sign back in.
Save any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll before deleting the account. Deleting the account deletes the photo stream photos from your phone. -
I love having my foxtabs. They're very convinient. However, as soon as I downloaded firefox 5 they were gone. I've tried to download firefox 4 but I'm sent to downloading firefox 5. I don't want it. I neeeeed my foxtabs. How can I get them back. Will you have foxtabs be compatible with firefox 5. Please help. I truly need my foxtabs.
Had the same problem, but have now upgraded to Foxtab 1.4.3 (which didn't offer itself via Add-ons Upgrade - had to upgrade manually).
Now works as before.
Think FF5 works better than FF4 for me - faster & ok now Foxtab issue gone. -
Where can I get an APK file to install Firefox Beta? I don't use Google Play.
I'd like to test Firefox Beta but I can't seem to find a direct link to download the APK installer. It seems to be only available from Google Play but I prefer not to use proprietary software on my devices. My test devices are Galaxy SIII and Kobo Arc if that matters.
