Imac 10.5.8 not receiving software updates
Hi all,
My imac 10.5.8, intel core is not recieving any software updates, when i click on software updates it replies software up to date. any suggestions.
Quite possibly because there are no updates. With a system that old Apple has stopped support. Do not confuse updates and upgrades.

You do not need to use cleaning programs. They can destroy your computer operation as they may already have done.

Do a backup.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

None of my computers are receiving software updates since upgrading to SCCM 2012 R2 (single server). I had read someone else had the same problem and recreating the ADR worked for him so I deleted mine and all the associated SUGs. I currently
have just one manual deployment with all current updates that was created three weeks ago but no clients have received the updates.
UpdatesDeployment.log says "Total actionable updates = 0".
UpdatesHandler.log says "Successfully initiated scan".
UpdatesStore.log has lots of "Update status from update (xxx) already exists, will modify existing instance." then "Successfully done with SetStatus() operation".
WindowsUpdate.log says "Updates found = 163" but they don't get installed, then the next day it says "0 updates detected" then a few days later it finds 163 again.
I can't figure out what the problem might be and hoping someone here can help me out.A Microsoft SCCM rep himself told me that AutoDeploymentRules are full of problems and not to use them. I've built 3 SCCM 2012 suites from scratch and integrated WSUS into them and never used ADR. If you've not already done so, I'd undo all the ADR
stuff. Some things to check for: are the products you need selected on the site server, so the updates appear in software library, have you downloaded the needed updates, after downloading did you click edit membership and add them to the needed SUGs, and
did you deploy them and has the time for the deployments to go out occurred yet?

Cannot receive software update
I can't receive the latest walkman app update(8.3.A.0.5) from the update center,
I'm sure that the update has been released in my region and carrier since my friend has received the update on his Z2 about 2 weeks ago.
I've even done the software repair on PCC, and still not receive the update...,
Now all my media app from Sony (Album, Walkman, Moives) have been reset to the old version....
Please help me!!
btw, my Z2 tablet has recieved a sketch app update which brings "cloud backup" and "pinch to zoom" features,
but both me and my friend haven't received the sketch app update on Z2, is it haven't launched on the Z2 phone yet?Had the same problem with Z1 which was then replaced by a new handset. My Z2 does not receive Movie app update but when i try to launch Music Unlimited app it says i need to update Movie app, but it does not appear in update centre. Has this got anything to do with audio issue i have been having (poor sound quality with headset, sometimes it outputs sound both from headset and external speakers simultaneously). I am becoming desperate here and will try returning if not resolved soon.

I can not perform software updates or download any programs. They appear in the download box as images that are "not recognized". I thought maybe my antivirus software was setting up a firewall, but I have disabled it, so that's not the case. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this?
If the downloads are gone, it's possible that Windows is removing the downloads based on security policies set in IE. I realize that sounds strange, but it's related to Firefox's feature of submitting downloads to your virus scanner and marking them as having come from the internet.
To test this theory, you could try disabling the scan feature. I assume you have good "real time" antivirus protection which checks every file saved to your hard drive. (If not, you really should get that, and you can use Microsoft's free [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials Microsoft Security Essentials] for now until you have time to review all the available choices.)

The option to update without the computer (Over the air) was made available with iOS 5. If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.

iPad 2 I am trying to update to ISO5;however, when I go to setting, general, I do not have software update as directions show on apple support.
From my experience, you need 6.1.3 to download ios 7. I have tested this with six devices, one ios 5, one ios 6.1.3, and others 6.1.2. The ipad 2 that was 6.1.3 had the option available while the other five did not, then i updated my ipad mini to 6.1.3, after that the ios 7 option under settings was available. Please share your experiences too, thanks. And i would like someone to prove me wrong saying they updated directly from something not 6.1.3 to ios 7

If you're running Mac OS X 10.5.8 as your profile says, there will almost certainly never be any more software updates, and there's no point in submitting bug reports because the bugs will never be fixed.

My IPAD has not been used in almost two.... I have tried to update software but when go to Settings, General I can not find Software Updates where it should be between About and Sounds, what can I do? Nothing has been updated, tried through ITunes on PC and said I needed to update to ITunes 10.1 and can't do this either, please help me. Can't find ICloud either!

Why would an iPad version 4.3.5 not show software updates in general settings
because it was not there before iOS5. iOS5 is the first that can incrementally update the iOS on the idevice directly. The older versions must be updated via iTunes.
