Image File Caching Issue\CF6 vs CF7

Why doesn't this work in CFMX7, but it works in CFMX6?
<img
src="<cfoutput>#request.testImage#</cfoutput>" alt=""
border="0">
It seems the src attribute for img needs to have the file
name in it somewhere.
Problem is it doesn't want to grab the latest image from the
file location, it seems to keep using the one that is cached while
in an instance of the browser prior to refreshing the page or
closing the broswer and coming back in. In CF6 the latest image is
grabbed showing the newly created image from the chart tag. In CF7
an X is displayed. Here is the code:
<cfset thisPath=ExpandPath("../")>
<cfset serverDirectory=GetDirectoryFromPath(thisPath)>
<cfchart format="png" chartheight="150" chartwidth="500"

Instead of importing the TIF file back into your FCP project, try just making a still frame (Shift n) of the same frame and use that in FCP. Use the exported TIF for your DVD menu. Note that when you make a freeze frame, any filters that had been applied to the clip will not be applied to the freeze frame. To remedy that, copy the clip, then right-click on the freeze frame and choose Paste Attributes / Filters.

  • Image files loading issue

    Hi,
    Image files like .png, .gif files were inconsistently not displaying in IE 8 and 9 not even getting red X. when i navigate to other screen it is displaying as expected. Am suppose to use HTML 5 with IE 8 and 9, even i tried HTML5shiv.js with conditional
    comments, but of no use.
    I've downgraded HTML 5 to 4, still this issue exist. Even tried Clearing browser caches, cookies,history etc..
    Someone help me on this please..
    Syntax background:url(../images/header/header.gif)

    Thanks, for your reply..
    I've corrected it.. Its works as expected in Firefox and Chrome, problem with IE alone
    My question is changing doctype declaration is alone enough for upgrading HTML 4 to 5?
    Previously, i've used is
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
    now i changed to <!DOCTYPE html>

  • File Cache Issue

    File Cache is eating up all my memory. I do run "purge" command to clean this up, but this is taking up all the memory vey often. This started happening after the Mavericks Upgrade.
    One doubt I have on this usage is: Have a program that reads and writes files for every minute. Not sure, this is what is taking all the File Cache since I create and read those files too often.
    Any suggestions to disable or limit the File Cache is welcome

    Any ideas, how I can solve this.
    I am trying to run the purge as a cron and purge is not working in cron
    Donno why purge doesn't work in cron ?

  • JAR File Caching Issues

    After the security update here, http://sunsolve.sun.com/search/document.do?assetkey=1-26-103079-1 any users referencing our applets do not use the jar files stored in cache if the DNS has changed. We use an akamai hosted solution for jar distribution (though this would also occur in any DNS load balancing situation) thus the IP is rather dynamic though the content is identical. As the security issues states, any Plugin versions 1.5.0_13 and above or 1.6.0_03 and above treat a new DNS as compeltely new jar files.
    Has anyone worked through similar situations? This renders the caching almost useless and we have a rather thick applet (3 Mb total jar files) which is quite an impact for a customer that is often low bandwidth to download daily.
    Thanks!

    Recently I tried to used some robot tools to test our application for performance issue. During the robot testing, I acceidentally discover some difference for the jar downloading which cause the above mentioned problem.
    At first, this http request has no problem and the jar file is NOT downloaded. Http server shows a response code of "304", meaning download not required.
    http_request
    "GET lib/posLookup.jar HTTP/1.1\r\n"
    "Accept: */*\r\n"
    "Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate\r\n"
    "If-Modified-Since: Thu, 05 Dec 2002 17:22:12 GMT\r\n"
    "User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 4.0; T31246"
    "1)\r\n"
    "Host: defaulthost\r\n"
    "Connection: Keep-Alive\r\n"
    "Cookie: sesessionid=0001UULRZPFLU5IBRNBVHWUUAFI\r\n"
    "\r\n";
    Then after running for a while, the browser jumps into another page and finds that the same jar file "posLookup.jar" is required. It issue another http request to server as:
    http_request
    "GET lib/posLookup.jar HTTP/1.1\r\n"
    "cookie: sesessionid=0001UULRZPFLU5IBRNBVHWUUAFI\r\n"
    "User-Agent: Java1.3.1_02\r\n"
    "Host: defaulthost\r\n"
    "Accept: text/html, image/gif, image/jpeg, *; q=.2, */*; q=.2\r\n"
    "Connection: keep-alive\r\n"
    "\r\n";
    But this time the user agent becomes Java1.3.1_02 and the accept type becomes text/html instead of original zip format. After this, I check the IE temporary file and found that the posLookup.jar is having a type of "HTML Document" instead of "Executable jar file".
    Does anyone know whether this is a bug of the Internet Explorer or it is bug of the Java Plugin?
    Appreciate any opinions or comments.
    Thanks

  • Jpg file caching issue. Optimization needed or poor settings?

    '''- Step Naught''' - Boot Windows XP Pro SP3, on q6600 / 4Gb PC with /3G. Run Mozilla 3.6.10 and open two or three tabs to typical page: Google, TechDirt, Firefox Support.
    '''- Step 1''' - Open a 4th tab, and load URL a containing a large jpg image. E.G., like one of the NASA .jpg files the from Hubble telescope page. Pick a hi-res image (> 72Kb). Often a large image triggers the zoom cursor to appear. This was my starting state.
    '''- Step B''' - Surf that tab (with the .jpg) to a completely new domain, say, mozilla.com.
    '''- Step III'' - Reload the previous page (with the .jpg). I don't recall here if I clicked the back button, or entered the page via its table of contents link.
    '''- Step Last:''' Right-click to get image properties (sorry Macies), choose Save Image As, name and Save the file as directed.
    '''- Result: ''' The image reloads via http: I sure would like the image to load from cache. Is this possible now? If so, what's the feature called? If it's not possible, this sounds like an easy optimization to make, albeit, low priority. What's the word?

    Jey, we just installed:
    Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.2 (built Dec 2 2004)
    libimta.so 6.2 (built 00:34:23, Dec 2 2004)
    SunOS urano1 5.9 Generic_118558-09 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-4
    And have the same problem with attached files: .doc,.xls,.ppt.
    We have configured:
    local.service.http.gzip.dynamic = 0
    And IE tries to open a new window but close it rapidly. While presing CTRL the window open correctly.
    The version installed previously did not have this problem:
    Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.1 HotFix 0.02 (built Aug 25 2004)
    libimta.so 6.1 HotFix 0.02 (built 17:03:42, Aug 25 2004)
    SunOS urano 5.9 Generic_118559-10 i86pc i386 i86pc
    Is there any parameter to change and correct this problem?

  • Email image/file saving issue

    Hi
    My iPad has just been up dated to iOS 8.1.1
    I cant find anyone else online who seems to be having the same issue so lets see.
    I have attachments/files/images in emails that I want to save to the ipad. The old style that still just show the file work fine but the previewed images I am having issues with.
    I am having trouble with a PDF image of a seating chart, the new iOS is showing a preview of the image at the bottom of the email (as a pose to where you use to click the file and then it would preview and you could save from there).
    Now when I press it the little box should pop up with the options i.e. save, print, open with documents etc but the box is not there. Now I can tell the box is active because I am unable to press anything within the email app such as inbox delete nothing works so I know that the box should be showing. Sometimes the mail app will crash, if I close it and reopen it normally sometimes the little box flashes up then disappears within a second.
    Please tell me someone has found a solution to this problem as this is really going to screw up my work!
    Also please don't tell me to visit my 'local' apple store as its hours away and you have to book an appointment like a week in advance, so that's not going to happen.
    Any helpful info would be great appreciated

    I am aware of how to open it in documents or save it. The problem is the Open with box is not showing up since the 8.1.1 update, it's obviously there because I can't press anything on the screen and sometimes if I press the home button and go back onto mail it shows for a millisecond and disappears

  • File Caching Issue

    I am trying to debug an issue I am having in a custom scheduled task. I am using the tcEmailNotifcationUtil and want to see some trace. I have added an entry in the logging.xml file for the OIM server, which I assume is the correct place. However, whenever I restart the OIM server for these changes to take effect the file is overwritten and my changes are lost. Any idea on what could be causing this?
    Pete

    Which app server are you using ..?
    For email notifications loggers , you need turn Xellerate.Request=DEBUG

  • Flex file upload issue with large image files

         Hello, I have created a sample flex application to upload an image and also created java servlet to upload and save image and deployed in local tomcat server. I am testing the application in LAN. I am able to upload small as well as large image file(1Mb) from some PCs but in some other PCs I am getting IOError while uploading large image files however it is working fine for small images. • IPhoto issues after 10.5 install, thumbnails but no image files

    After installing Leopard I have found that random photos from different events in iPhoto 7.1.1 have completely disappeared. OK, not completely -- the thumbnail images remain but the image file is completely gone. Vanished, it would appear, from my hard drive. A spotlight search reveals nothing. I am finding more and more missing as I go about my business. I click on an image to edit or use in iWeb and I get a gray exclamation point.
    I don't think that I have synched my iPod video since upgrading to Leopard so perhaps there is hope of recovery? Anyone know what is going on?

  • A performance issue when opening report calls image file

    Hi All,
    I use Oracle reports version 10gR2. When the client user press preview button to display the Oracle report it takes an excessive amount of time. This report displays image file (*.tiff), the image file stored in another server not the application server or database server. I copy the image file first from this machine to the client machine then display the report from the client machine. But still takes time.

  • BitmapImage cache issue

    On WIndows 8 RP, I create a BitmapImage with the Uri of a file on disk. The user has the ability to change the image file (using a picker which will replace the file on disk that is currently being used). The issue is that even when the BitmapImage is recreated,
    because the Uri is pointing to the same file, the new updated image is never loaded. The only way to get the new image to load is to close and reopen the app. Clearly there is a cache issue.
    I have two questions:
    1. Is the issue with the cache of the BitmapImage that I construct using the Uri? Or is the issue with the cache of the Image UIElement that is displayed using the BitmapImage I mentioned previously?
    2. It looks like I have far fewer options when dealing with BitmapImages on WinRT. I cannot do bi.BeginInit() or bi.CacheOption. All I can do is bi.CreateOptions = BitmapCreateOptions.IgnoreImageCache; ... but this does not help.
    Here is how I'm constructing my BitmapImage:
    BitmapImage bi = new BitmapImage();bi.CreateOptions = BitmapCreateOptions.IgnoreImageCache;bi.UriSource = new Uri(currentFile.Path, UriKind.Absolute);
    Here is how I'm setting the grid cell BitmapImage (which is binded to a UIElement Image):
    gridViewCellObject.tileImage = bi;
    Here is the code for the gridViewCellObject tileImage get/set
    public BitmapImage muteImage
    get { return _muteImage; }
    set
    _muteImage = value;
    // Call NotifyPropertyChanged when the source property
    // is updated.
    NotifyPropertyChanged("muteImage");
    Here is the XAML which binds the Image to tileImage:
    <Image Source="{Binding tileImage, Mode=OneWay}" Width="140" Height="140" HorizontalAlignment="Center" VerticalAlignment="Top" Margin="0,10,0,0" Stretch="Fill"/>
    Any advice on how get around this caching?
    Bryan L. Keller

    Here is the solution. As the comments in my code suggest, this is ridiculous and shouldn't even be necessary.
    Here is the revised getPhotos method. I copy each bitmap from its original source to the temp folder. I give it a random name that will never be repeated while the application is open. This is done by getting some information about the current system time.
    I calculated it out to be a 1 in 10^-8 chance of getting a duplicate file name using my method of naming.
    public async Task<List<BitmapImage>> getPhotos()
    photos.Clear();
    IReadOnlyList<IStorageFile> files = (IReadOnlyList<IStorageFile>) await folderHierarchy.Last().GetFilesAsync(); //gets storagefiles of original png files
    DateTime currentTime;
    foreach (StorageFile currentFile in files)
    if (currentFile.Name.EndsWith(".png")) //get only png files
    //copy to and read from temp to prevent bitmap caching. (It's ridiculous that I even need to do this)
    currentTime = DateTime.Now;
    String tempFileName = currentTime.Hour + " " + currentTime.Minute + " " + currentTime.Second + " " + currentTime.Millisecond; //generate unique name
    await currentFile.CopyAsync(Windows.Storage.ApplicationData.Current.TemporaryFolder, tempFileName); //copy to temp with unique name
    //because the name is new each time, the bitmap will never be cached. photos.Add(new BitmapImage(new Uri((await Windows.Storage.ApplicationData.Current.TemporaryFolder.GetFileAsync(tempFileName)).Path))); //add bitmap to array of photos. This is used by the rest of the app to populate the gridview
    return photos; //return array of photos
    Microsoft, I shouldn't need to waste time solving your API issues. This stuff should have been fixed in one of the Developer Preview builds, NOT the Release preview.
    Get your act together so developers can do their job.

    I am not expert in these, but please check out the following things and see whether it would solve your issue. (All these changes can be easily rolled back in case I'm wrong :). So make note of what you do)
    As per your httpd.conf, you have chosen an automatic configuration of Apache by OWCI installer itself. What it does is create an imageserver.conf file in a separate directory and these settings will be included in your httpd.conf as you can see in the first line: Include "C:/bea/alui/plumtreeconf/".
    If you check the imageserver.conf in that location, you would find a line like: Alias /imageserver/ "C:/bea/alui/ptimages/imageserver/". This aliases the original path "C:/bea/alui/ptimages/imageserver/" to /imageserver"
    To confirm whether this is done right, check the following:
    1. Acces 'http://<server ip / server name / localhost >/' from your browser
    This should display the Apache home page (as per your httpd.conf, it uses the default port 80; so no port number required)
    2. Access 'http://<server ip>/imageserver/' from your browser
    This should display the directory structure (if its not disabled) inside your 'C:/bea/alui/ptimages/imageserver/' folder. Also confirm that all the subfolders are accessible.
    3. If all the above is right, it means that your imageserver settings are right. Please check your portalconfig.xml for the correct settings: For example, <setting name="HTTPPort"> should be 7001 in your case. If its something else, change it and restart Weblogic for the settings to take effect.
    Hope this helps.

  • Saving/publishing site fails - Error in saving image files

    A friend has created a simple portfolio site for his artwork (about 80 jpegs) but when he goes to save (or publish) iWeb says it can't save some of the images and shows a list of the ones it can't save and stops. I believe that the problem is related to image file name length. Is there a restriction on file length? If not has anyone seen error this before?
    If it is file length the he will have to rename the files he moved in iWeb from iPhoto. I understand that it's impossible to change file names in iPhoto. Is this true?
    Thanks
    He is running iPhoto 6 on an iMac PPC 20" 10.5.4

    Hi Rob,
    Coming to your error, it’s really strange. You can able to access/use your WCF service for a while and after sometime you get error. Few things which I would recheck are as follows:
    Make sure it’s not due to your active directory. I would check if there are any issue with AD after an elapsed period of time to valid my app pool credentials.
    In your Application-pool, under process model, try by increasing the “Idle Time-out (minutes)”. This time decides the amount of time worker process will remain idle before its shutdown.
    I personally never required to change it from default value-20 mins, but looking at your issue, it’s worth trying this.
    In your Application-pool, under CPU, Check the setting “Limit Action” to “KillW3WP”. Default is “NoAction”. “KillW3WP” setting potential could have impact like yours. If so change it to
    “NoAction”.
     When you create a WCF service using wizard, I expect to have default values; check any setting at IIS level is having an impact.
    Few things I would try:
    Create a separate App pool for this WCF service and check the impact
    Reapply the credentials of you app pool. Just simply go to the “Identity” section and reapply the same valid credentials. This could clear any cache related things to do
    with the credentials/AD validation.
    I understand you’re overwriting the service/virtual directory while creating the SCF service in Wizard. Try manually deleting the virtual directory folder and create the
    WCF server as fresh using Wizard, without using the overwrite checkbox.
    Hope the above suggest helps.

  • The cache issue about indexcol function

    Hi Experts,
    We have one requirement as below,
    Firstly, we have some columns prompt created by JAVA in external portal page, not OBIEE internal prompts,such as Year, Month,Day.
    Secondly, we have one report contains one dynamic column which showes the lowest selected level value.
    For example,
    When users muti-select value in Year, and not select Month,Day, so this report will display as below:
    Dynamic--------Sales
    2010-------------1000
    2011-------------2000
    When users muti-select value in Year and Month, and not select Day, so this report will display as below:
    Dynamic--------Sales
    201001-----------100
    201002-----------300
    201101-----------500
    When users muti-select value in Year , Month, and Day , so this report will display as below:
    Dynamic--------Sales
    20100101--------50
    20100202--------80
    20110101--------100
    So we have one method to solve this requirement, but faced new cache or update issue immediately. More detail information as below:
    We create one temp table which has one flag column ,
    when users select Year level, it will record 0,
    when users select Month level, it will record 1,
    when users select Day level, it will record 2
    Then import this temp table into physical layer, and create session init block like below:
    select flag from temp
    Finially, we create new indexcol column in BMM :
    INDEXCOL(VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.FLAG),Year,Month,Day) and drag it into presentation layer.
    When users select value in Year or Month or Day, and the flag will be record into database.However, the dynamic column in report will not be changed.
    I must click "Reload Server Metedata" firstly, it will show correctly.(Users do not click this )
    Is there any better method to solve cache issue? Or any other better methods for solving this requirement?
    Thanks very much.
    Note: I have disabled the cache in temp table in physical layer.

    Sorry to bother you again, I found I was wrong in describing my problem. I found out that I sent the CiscoIPhoneExecute xml to the phone last time, not the CiscoIPhoneImageFile xml.
    The CiscoIPPhoneExecute xml is like:
    http://192.168.1.2:8080/test/push2phone.jsp?action=get"/>
    And "http://192.168.1.2:8080/test/push2phone.jsp?action=get" returns the CiscoIPPhoneImageFile xml, like this:
    Image Title goes here
    Prompt text goes here
    0
    0
    http://192.168.1.2:8080/test/pngs/attention.png
    so when I send the CiscoIPPhoneExecute xml to a phone, the phone will display the file attention.png on the screen with the sound chime.raw, then I press the "exit" button, the attention.png on the screen disappears. But if I then send the CiscoIPPhoneExecute xml with the "http://192.168.1.2:8080/test/push2phone.jsp?action=get" that returns the CiscoIPPhoneImageFile that contains a different png file, for example "warning.png", the "attention.png" will appear for a short time during the time when "warning.png" is downloading, then "warning.png" appears. I have no idea why that happens. I don't want to see "attention.png" when I'm sending "warning.png". What can I do?
    I've tried to directly sent the CiscoIPPhoneImageFile xml to a phone, everything goes well, no "cache" problems. but I have no idea how to add the sound "chime.raw". I want the png files to be sent like short messages with sounds. Please help!
    Thanks a lot.
