Image Gallery giving LoadNeverCompleted on Server side

Ok so I have a basic site set up, I have a gallery page. When
I go to it....I have buttons on that page that you can choose
different galleries. My galleries load images via XML....when I
click on a gallery, and it doesn't load all the pictures first
within the thumbnails and I try to go to a different gallery on
that page or even try to go to a different page within my SWF, it
gives me this:
Windows Internet Explorer:
An error has occured while trying to load file ! [Error
code: LoadNeverCompleted][HTTP status: 200]
Is there anyway to code my swf so that it will still go to
the next gallery or page without throwing that error up, as to seem
..... seamless? Even if it didn't load the previous gallery and
images completely? I really need help on this one.
Thanks much in advance.

Is there anyone that is even going to attempt to try and help
me or does everyone just want to skip this one....I know I'm not
the only one out here who has run into this issue. Please
help!

  • Create image from byte[]array on server side

    Hello everyone..
    I'm developing an application which will take snapshots from a mobile device, and send it to my pc via bluetooth. I have my own midlet which uses the phone camera to take the snapshot, i want to transfer that snapshot to my pc.
    The snapshot is taken is stored in an array byte.
    The image can be created on the phone itself with no problem using : image.createImage(byte[])
    my problem is that when i send the array byte via bluetooth, and receive it on the server, i cannot create the image using the :image.createImage() code
    The connection is good since i have tested by writing the content of the array in a text file.
    Piece of midlet code:
                try{
                     stream = (StreamConnection)Connector.open(url);
                     OutputStream ggt = stream.openOutputStream();
                     ggt.write(str);
                     ggt.close();
                }catch(Exception e){
                     err1  = e.getMessage();
                }where str is my array byte containing the snapshot
    And on my server side:
    Thread th = new Thread(){
                   public void run(){
                        try{
                             while(true){
                                  byte[] b = new byte[in.read()];
                                  int x=0;
                                  System.out.println("reading");
                                  r = in.read(b,0,b.length);
                                  if (r!=0){
                                       System.out.println(r);
                                       img = Image.createImage(b, 0, r);
                                                            //other codes
                                       i get this error message:

    Please anyone can help me here? is this the way to create the image on the server side? thx a lot

    here is exactly how i did it :
    while(true){
                                  byte[] b = new byte[in.read()];
                                  System.out.println("reading");
                                  r = in.read(b, 0, b.length);
                                  if (r!=0){
                                       Toolkit toolkit = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit();
                                       Image img = toolkit.createImage(b, 0, b.length);
                                       JLabel label = new JLabel(new ImageIcon(img) );
                                       BufferedImage bImage = new BufferedImage(img.getWidth(label),img.getHeight(label),BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_RGB);
                                       bImage.createGraphics().drawImage(img, 0,0,null);
                                       File xd = new File("D:/file.jpg");
                                       ImageIO.write(bImage, "jpg", xd);
                                       System.out.println("image sent");

  • Server Side Flex Code?

    My company currently has a back end image rendering engine
    built in Java. The rendering engine serves up images on request to
    a Flex User Interface through web services. What we have discovered
    through benchmarking is that Flex (or the Flash Runtime) is able to
    complete simple renders even faster than Java.
    So I wondered... can we tap into some of these Flex image
    manipulation libraries on the server side?
    We would love to develop the entire rendering engine in Flex.
    Unfortunately there are some downsides to this such as increased
    bandwidth usage since the large raw images used to create the final
    rendered image would all need to be transfered over the internet to
    the client.
    The ideal solution would be to develop the rendering engine
    in Flex but have the Flex code run on the server.
    Is this possible? Can anyone comment?
    Thanks,
    Leo Lee

    Well, you can create a Flex component/module/app/etc. and put
    it on the server. Client can so something that results in request
    to server, and part of server response is to do processing on
    server using that rendering engine. Just a matter of calling it on
    the server from the initial point of client request contact.

  • What is happening to my image gallery?

    I have created the layout for my site and I have an image gallery on the right hand side.  By default the upper left thumbnail opens as the main picture.  If you click on that thumbnail, it swaps the image, yet the thumbnail disappears and a question mark appears.   This only happens on that thumbnail and it happens on every page.
    This is my site in development stage.
    http://test.taffyproductions.com/index.htm
    Thanks,
    Gary

    You have the rollover wrong on that first thumb.
    Here is its code:
    a href="#">
    <img id="thumb_01" width="80" height="60" onmousedown="MM_swapImage(''thumb_01','','large_image','photo_large','','_images/home1_lg.png',1)" name="thumb_01" alt="home_1sm" src="large_image"/>
    </a>
    and here it is from another thumb:
    <a href="#">
    <img width="80" height="60" onmousedown="MM_swapImage('photo_large','','_images/home3_lg.png',1)" alt="thumb_3" src="_images/home_3sm.jpg"/>
    </a>
    Your first thumb is being told to swap ITSELF out with another image, followed by another partial copy of the arguments - it's simply malformed so remove the behavior on the first thumb completely and do it again.
    That said, your gallery would be better set up with the onmousedown behavior (onclick is better actually) on the <a> tag around the <img> rather than on the image tag itself.
    Hope that helps.

  • How to get path of image from server side in form of URL

    Hello,
    I want to access images stored on server side local folder. How do I create a URL for that. Images in the folder changes dynamically, so I should be able to display the new modified images. Please help me.
    Thanks in advance

    Are you asking from client side to access server (local folder) images...
    if yes
    where the security goes....
    please be in detail...

  • Is it possible to downsize a large image on the server side (before serving it to the user)?

    One of the banes of my existence is resizing the same image several times because of the various contexts it appears in. For example, the main image in an article will appear bigger than it will on the index page, where many article teasers are placed. Then there's the image that goes in the Facebook "share" og. Then there's... you get the idea.
    Same image, different contexts, lots of Photoshop resizing, lots of files to keep track of... but I save on bandwidth.
    On the flip side, I can target the same (large) image and simply downsize via traditional HTML (width/height) on the browser end, but that will mean downloading a file that is 50-75% larger than what is actually needed. If the front page teaser displays a 1280px image at 500px, that's a huge (and potentially costly) waste of bandwidth.
    HOWEVER...
    If I could do the same thing on the SERVER side... in other words, tell the server to take only the pixels it needs from the (large) image and serve only THOSE to the end user... then the same image could be used in each and every context, and only the necessary bandwidth is used.
    Is this do-able? If so, what is the process formally called, and where would I begin to learn how to do it?
    Thanks!

    That's amazing. I didn't think it was possible without saving files on the server first.
    This will suit my needs just fine, but allow me to push my luck even further with the following "hail mary" question : would it be possible for the server to serve the PNG with a width of 100% of the container? In other words, the behavior would mimic width=100% but the server would still only serve as many bytes as are needed to fill that space.
    Not only would I not have to create separate files for every resize (we fixed that problem with your suggestion) but I wouldn't even have to customize every link to a specific size.
    I'm not expecting an affirmative on this one, but it was worth asking. =)

  • Image gallery: Open browser w/ 'Next/Back' button?

    Howdy people. I am planning on making a photo gallery. I want
    to have the user click on the first image - have a browser window
    open then have a 'NEXT' 'BACK' and "CLOSE WINDOW" button in that
    browser window. I know how to do all except the arrow part. Can
    anyone help? Thank you so much!

    Create your second page so it's layed out the same way as the
    first. The
    next link simply points from one page to another as per
    normal hyperlink.
    You'll need to change the next link (and previous link) on
    each page
    manually.
    So, page2.htm will have a previous link to page1.htm and a
    next link to
    page3.htm, and
    page3.htm will have a previous link to page2.htm and a next
    link to
    page4.htm.
    Or are you looking for more automated way using a server-side
    language?

    if you google with "dynamic image gallery", you'll find a lot

    if you prefer to do it yourself, you need to deal with
    dynamic sites. DW

    in fact you don't need a database, the images can be read

  • What server side objects to pin in shared pool?

    On the first invocation of Java-based image.process(...), processing can take up to 30 seconds. Second run takes less than a second, but a final invocation a few hours later is back to 30 seconds. My DBA suspects that the server side objects are cached in the shared pool by the time of the second invocation, and then flushed out by the time the code is run a few hours later.
    We tried "pinning" ORDSYS.OrdImage pl/sql package in the shared pool using dbsm_shared_pool.keep , but no success. What are the the Java server-side objects referred to the Intermedia Java Client that really does the work when the client-side image.process(..) is executed?

  • How do i use numbers for image gallery and arrows?

    Hello there,
    I'm hoping someone can advise me on the best possible way.
    I would like to use numbers to help the user navigate through the image gallery i'm creating and arrows on either side of an image (one image viewed at any one time). I have attached an image of what i'm trying to acheive. I feel like the arrows will help aid the user to navigate and the numbers will inform them on the number of images to view.
    I have so far created the site with a template (logo and nav bar) and child pages for: home/about/work/contact.
    Hope to hear from someone soon.

  • Problem with skin for server side buttons.

    Hi,
    I have a problem with the skin for server side renderd buttons.
    In my CSS file I have :
    .AFButtonStartIcon:alias
    content:url(/skins/images/btns.JPG);
    .AFButtonEndIcon:alias
    content:url(/skins/images/btne.JPG);
    .AFButtonTopBackgroundIcon:alias
    content:url(/skins/images/btntb.JPG);
    .AFButtonBottomBackgroundIcon:alias
    content:url(/skins/images/btnbb.JPG);
    JPG files in project are in dir "public_html/skins/images".
    In WAR file,the JPG files are in "/skins/images" directory.
    Skin configuration is correct because other settings from CSS
    file are functioning fine after deploying.
    But buttons are standard browser buttons and are not taking the images i have used.
    In document provided by Oracle it says:
    (Note: These icons must be specified using either context-image or
    resource-image icons. Text-based icons are not allowed.)
    I am nt able to understand what this means?

    Perhaps this thread will help.

    The doc should say whether or not the width/height is a requirement. But since it doesn't mention it, try adding a width and height.

  • Image gallery code won't work

    Please Help, I can't figure this stuff out!
    I've just built my second website and the code for clickable thumbnails for my image gallery doesn't work in Safari, unless I refresh the page.
