Image in gallery - new window

Used contentflow.js and have now finally got this gallery displaying how I want.
Just one quick question, I was wondering if anyone knew how to overcome as I can't seem to figure it out:
It says you can open the image in a new window (at the moment you can only open it in the same window and only when the image is in the centre (which is perfect as you need to be able to click through the gallery))
I tried both bits of code at the bottom of this page: http://www.jacksasylum.eu/ContentFlow/docu.php
but the problem is because it makes the images a link when you do this, you can't click through the gallery (you have to use the scroll, which is not what I want!) - so i want it to only open the image in a new windown when it's in the centre.
I had a scroll through the js sheet but wasn't sure what I was looking at... surely as it already only opens when the image is in the centre, there must be a setting that just changes it from same to new/blank window?

I'm not sure if there is an easier way to do it in JavaScript. However, in the link tag of each photo you can set
target="0"
for example:
<canvas src="entrance.jpg" width="207" height="207" class="content landscape" target="0" title="Beauty Room Entrance" origproportion="1.5"></canvas>

When I use yahoo images and i open an image in a new window, it tweakes out firefox so that panes are distorted and exerything, the whole firefox browser looks like an F5 tornado took it apart and lumped it on my desktop... is this a known glitch?

When I use yahoo images and open an image in a new window, the page, once I click its tab causes the entire browser to scramble graphically, making it nearly impossible to navigate further. I right-clicked and selected close tab. That regains the visual clarity of the browser. But how can I fix this to browse the images?

I tried it again using "save link as", and this time it actually worked! I just now downloaded several more using the "save link as" option, and it works perfectly. Thanks. Problem solved.

Display an image in a new window

I am trying to display an image when certain criteria is met. How can I either open the image to a new window jsut displaying the image or just have the image pop up in the window that is already open.

A simple solution would be to use a case selection so that when you criteria has been met
then a VI pops ups with image .
Use an exit button to terminate VI(close ).

Opening an image in a new window

Ok, I've been browsing around the web trying to find out but
all examples point me to the this one:

getURL ("your page name/path", "_blank");
but i don't want to grab the image from a url i want to be
able to click on a thumbnail which then opens a new window of the
larger version of the picture that's within my site folder. I hope
this makes sense. Any help would be much appreciated.

Where are your images then, if they're not somewhere online?

Viewing Larger Image Version / in New Window/Tab

I have added in the links to larger image files to my lower res images. When I click those images in Preview it takes me out of the page and to a new window to view the larger image. Will this larger image be viewed in antoher tab/window? I see the option to click "Open in new Window/Tab" in the hyperlinks menu. I have not activated that for each image link. Should I?
I want to make sure I don't leave the site and don't maintain a tab to get bak to the page I was on after I view a larger image.

Yes you will need to do it for each link. Wether it opens in a new tab or a new window really depends on what browser the user is using and how they have it set up.

How do you open an image in a new window at a larger size?

Yes I am new at this.
Basically all I'd like to do is have a thumbnail on a page as a button, click it so it opens in a new window at a zoomed larger size.
I know this is probably simple but I can't figure out how to do this.
Anybody have a second to point me in the right direction?

IWeb08; Photo Gallery: Can I have Photo open in a new window?

In the old version of iWeb I had a photo gallery and when a person clicked on the image it would open in a new window. I preferred this to what it does now where a person clicks and they are take to a "review" page of all of the images on the page.
Is it possible to have iWeb 08 go back to the old way of doing this? To open the image in a new window instead?

It's not possible without editing some of the java script files that are associated with the page. Sorry but that's out of my league, and most others here as well. But some of the other members here, like Tom Gewecke, do have the expertise for that.

If, as I read it, you are simply opening the image, it will
always be upper
left and cannot be changed. IF you wnat to position it, you
will need to
create a new html page and position your image on that page,
then call the
page, not the image from your thumbnail link.
In Dreamweaver in the command menu try the "Create Web Photo
Album" command.
It will create all of your pages, links and thumbnails for
you. (requires
Fireworks)

Image resizes when dragged to new window

All my images change size when I move them to a new window. I am making numerous graphics that need to be exact for collage like purposes; I will work them in their own window and will drag the finished images to a separate window to print(graphics are small, and I want to fill a print page with as many as possible) My issue is that whenever I drag the images to the new window they re size, usually larger. The new window is the same size as old. This is also happening when I print but image will be smaller than what is seen in image size dialog box. Please advise. Thank you

I assume that you are working with Elements v.3 or v.4.
In order to avoid a major size disparity as you describe in making a collage, have the resolution of the canvas and the picture files the same. For example, go to File>New>Blank file and establish width, height, and resolution. Click ok. For printing, it is desirable to have resolution 240-300px/in.
Next set the resolution of the picture files to a similar value. You may have to resample in order to achieve this. Minor degrees of size adjustment in the collage can be achieved via the handles in the move tool. Note that each picture file will be on its own layer, allowing for this type of adjustment readily.
Feel free to repost if you have additional problems as you go on with your project.

New Window, HTMLLoader.loadString image problem

I woudl like to load an image into a new window which I create, the image is accessable via the main application e.g. app:/images/notificationbg.png After creating the new window, the text and everything appears fine, but the image fails to load, I have tried not making it a background image and used <img src="images/notificationbg.png"> just to test it but still no luck.

Add the following code before you call loadString():
            htmlLoader.placeLoadStringContentInApplicationSandbox = true;
By default, content added via loadString() is not in the application security sandbox (and it cannot load images from the application directory). By setting this property to true, loadString() content is placed in the application security sandbox.

Question slide- Launch a full screen image in new window.

Hi,
I am using Captivate 4.
In the question slide (MCQ/ Matching) I want to have a transparent button over a thumbnail image.
On clicking this button, it lanches a full screen image in a new window.
The student views the image and answers MCQ, Matching (droplist) on the main screen/slide of captivate.
This new window can then be closed by clicking 'X' on top right corner of the window.
How to do this?

Hi there
Instead of a Transparent Button you should think instead about Click Boxes. But either way, Captivate doesn't allow Buttons or Click Boxes to be inserted on Question Slides.
However, Captivate does allow you to insert Flash objects on Question slides. So you could develop a Flash object that would carry out the desired actions when clicked. Then insert the object on the Question slide.

In Yosemite, pasted objects in Photoshop Elements 12 automatically snap to the center of a new window. How do I stop this from happening?

However, I DID discover yesterday that if I press COMMAND-T (the command to Free Transform an image) I can then move the image where I want in the window. I need to use the command every time I move the image, which is annoying--in Mavericks, that Free Transform command was somehow the default.

HELP! Controlling size and position of new window from applet

I am totally new to using java. I am making use of a java applet for showing images. Each image may be clicked to open a higher res image in a new window. I want to be able to control the size and position of the new window. The windows need to be different sizes for each image - a couple may be the same size but some will be different.
I found this:

Do I substitute the actual url where it says "document.url"? What about "window_name"? And what does liveconnect mean?

Are you publishing to .Mac or to a local folder? When you use .Mac, clicking on a thumbnail on a Photo page opens that image in a new window and you only see the slideshow when you click the Start Slideshow button. If you publish to a local folder and then upload to a non-.Mac server, the old HomePage slideshow opens when you click a thumbnail. You can change the non-.Mac slideshow by following the advice in this excellent tip: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=313201&tstart=0. (The slideshow recommended there, though, also launches when you click a thumbnail.)
