Image in menu XML file

Hi,
When i add a menu in SAPBO with my Add-On,
I must have an absolu path to view my bitmap (icon 16*16)Why can not have an relative path ?
Example :
This is not OK
<Menu Checked="0" Enabled="1" FatherUID="43520" String="Service Management" Type="2" UniqueID="MRO_MT" Image=".\Logo.jpg" Position="11">
This is OK
<Menu Checked="0" Enabled="1" FatherUID="43520" String="Service Management" Type="2" UniqueID="MRO_MT" Image="D:\Dev\Service Management\Application\bin\Logo.jpg" Position="11">
Have you an idea ?
Thanks

Hi francias
If you have your bitmap in the same directory of aplication in your XML you put:
Image="Logo.jpg"
If the bitmap is in different you put:
"Imagenes\Logo.jpg" (In this case I have a Image directory)

    How to place the images in Indesign xml file by Javascript?
    We got the Indesign xml file, how to give the image placement link by Indesign javascript? Please help me its urgent.

    Hi,
    You can pass the image url as a href attribute=> file:///Users/me/Documents/my_pic.jpg directly within your xml. It just needs that you pass a local, static and valid url.
    If you want to add image later once the xml is flowed and so target specific nodes and inject images, it's a bit more complex. If the node is not part of the layout, you may try to reach the XMLElement objet and such an attribute, then layout the element.
    var x = some XMLElement
    x.xmlAttributes.add("href","file:///Users/m/Documents/my_pic.jpg" );
    If already placed, then you have to get the associated pageItem, then place your file into it.
    pagItm.place ( File ( "/Users/m/Documents/my_pic.jpg" ) );
    Hope that helps,

    Anybody know what's up with the menu.xml.files not being available for DW after installing on a new comp?

    Usually that error can be cleared up by renaming the personal config folder. Turn on your OS's hidden files and then go to...
    C: > Users > your username > AppData > Roaming > Dreamweaver (version) > your language > configuration
    Rename the configuration folder configuration-old and start DW up. That should create an entirely new configuration folder and correct the menu.xml file.

    Can not open dreamweaver due to missing menu.xml file, how do I fix this problem?

    @alicia - We have seen such issues before
    Allow me to quote David Powers from http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1192197
    The menus.xml file is normally in your personal configuration folder. Before going to the trouble of reinstalling, try deleting your configuration folder. Details of how to find it are here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/494812.
    When you launch Dreamweaver, it should build a new configuration folder.

  • I want to embed text AND image from same XML file

    Hey,
    I got following problem:
    I want to put 1 image AND my text in 1 external XML file.
    I can load either one of them in seperate XML files.
    I need this because I want my content to be scrollable on my website and with this my image has to scroll with my text.
    I got following AS3 put in now:
    (ACTIONSCRIPT3.0)
    //LOADING EXTERNAL XML & IMAGE//
    var xml:XML;
    var urlRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest("externaltext/welkom_content.xml");
    var urlLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
    urlLoader.dataFormat = URLLoaderDataFormat.TEXT;
    urlLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, urlLoader_complete);
    urlLoader.load(urlRequest);
    function urlLoader_complete(evt:Event):void {
        xml = new XML(evt.target.data);
        welkom_content_text.text = xml.toXMLString();
    //LOADING EXTERNAL PICTURES//
    var xmlData:XML=new XML();
    var pHeight:Number = 200;
    var pWidth:Number = 200;
    var listLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader( new URLRequest("externaltext/testxmlimage.xml") );
    var picLoader:Loader = new Loader();
    listLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, gotList);
    function gotList(evt:Event):void {
       var xmlData:XML = XML(listLoader.data);
       var numImages:Number = xmlData.pix.length();
       var stImage:String = xmlData.image
    picLoader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, gotPic);
    picLoader.load( new URLRequest(stImage) );
    listLoader.removeEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, gotList);
    function gotPic(evt:Event):void {
    var thisBmp:Bitmap = Bitmap(evt.target.content);
    thisBmp.x = 0;
    thisBmp.y = 0;
    var thisWidth:Number = thisBmp.width;
    var thisHeight:Number = thisBmp.height;
    thisBmp.scaleX = pWidth/thisWidth;
    thisBmp.scaleY = pHeight/thisHeight;
    addChild(thisBmp);
    picLoader.contentLoaderInfo.removeEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, gotPic);
    (/ACTIONSCRIPT3.0)
    And my XML file for the text content is as following:
    (XML TEXT FILE)
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    .... ALL OF MY CONTENT
    (/XML TEXT FILE)
    And for my image the XML file is as following:
    (XML IMAGE FILE)
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <imagelist>
    <image>externaltext/testpicxml.jpg</image>
    </imagelist>
    (/XML IMAGE FILE)
    Does anyone know how to fix this and how to do it?
    Thanks in advance!
    Every help is appreciated!

    Thanks!
    And again... I'm doing some things wrong.. I feel dumb!
    Trying to make a website in ASP.NET almost whole day, so my head isn't set to AS3 at all..
    My code now to embed XML looks like:
    var xml:XML = new XML();
    var XMLURL:String = "externaltext/welkom_content_pic.xml";
    var myXMLURL:URLRequest = new URLRequest(XMLURL);
    var myLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader(myXMLURL);
    var page:Sprite = new Sprite();
    myLoader.addEventListener("complete", urlLoader_complete);
    function urlLoader_complete(evt:Event):void {
    addChild( page );
    page.addChild( welkom_title_text );
    page.addChild(  welkom_content_text );
    page.addChild(  welkom_image_holder );
    xml = new XML(evt.target.data);
    welkom_title_text.text = [email protected]();
    welkom_content_text.text = xml.item.toString();
    //use URLLoader to load the image from the path [email protected]()
    Probably set some things wrong..
    And what exactly do I have to set to load my image with it?
    We were all a beginner once.. but I'm the uber annoying beginner I think... hehe
    I probably won't be answering untill thursday, because I got a day off, so..
    Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Different between upload an image and a XML file??

    To uploading an image file then to database, i use the following function:
    " .getLoader().setOrdHttpUploadFile "
    but if I want to upload an XML file, is it work?? If not, how can I do??

    Hi,
    You mention the getLoader() method: are you using BC4J? If so, then you have to write the code yourself. BC4J is integrated with the interMedia database object types, and knows how to handle upload requests to these types. If you want to write a simple BLOB or CLOB column, then you can do so, but you have to write the code. See my reply to your other post below.
    Simon
    <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">quote:</font><HR>
    Hi,
    When you say: 'i find the class of "intermedia" that it is just use to
    upload image, audio, or video file.', are you referring to interMedia
    Java Classes for Servlets and JSP? If so, you can use these classes to
    upload any document to a BLOB column. Simply select the column from
    the database (using FOR UPDATE), call the OrdHttpUploadFile.loadLob(
    BLOB blob ) method to write the data to the BLOB, then update the BLOB
    column in the database. To write an uploaded document to any other
    data type, such as a CLOB, you would need to read the data from the
    InputStream returned by the OrdHttpUploadFile.getInputStream() method,
    then write it to the data type using whatever mechanism is
    appropriate, taking in to account such things as character set
    conversion.
    Hope that helps,
    Simon

  • Centre aligning images within picture frame using XML file

    Hi
    I am using a flash file that uses an xml file to upload a
    series of images one at a time into a picture holder.
    There are two different widths of the images. The height is
    always the same. Is it possible to set this up so every image that
    the xml file calls is centre aligned within the picture frame.
    At the moment when using the xml file to load the image it
    always left aligns the image when it brings it into the picture
    frame even if you change the alignment to centre align within in
    the align panel.
    Does anyone have a suggestion why this is happening or how to
    fix it?
    Thanks for the help

    You're welcome. Pleased it worked.
    All it does is use the MovieClipLoader class to load the
    images into your holder_mc. Because loading takes time, and because
    you can't check or adjust the size or position of images until they
    have loaded, the MovieClipLoader class gives you a handy option to
    run some code whenever its finished loading something you told it
    to load.
    That's what the addListener instruction does... it says
    whenever myLoader has something new to tell me about the status of
    the load requests I ask it to do... make it run some related code
    in the listener object (which is called loadListener in this
    code... it could equally be called something else). You 'listen'
    for different events or updates of status. All I 'listened' for
    here was the onLoadInit event.
    The onLoadInit is the 'final' status update after loading. It
    occurs when something has loaded and its properties are accessible
    (_x, _width etc). The target_mc that is an argument for the
    loadListener.onLoadInit is a reference to the clip that was loaded
    into.
    The best way to learn about this stuff is probably to read up
    on MovieClipLoader in the livedocs and try google to see if there's
    an online tutorial somewhere. Then give it a try yourself in
    another new fla.
    cheers

  • How to pass an XML file in a war file to the DocumentBuilder.parse

    I am developing a webapp on the struts framework
    I need to parse an XML file 'menu.xml' which I have placed under the 'WEB-INF/classes' folder
    My Action class calls a helper class called XMLMenuBuilder which needs to parse the 'menu.xml'
    Here are code snippets from my classes:
    LogonAction.java
    XMLMenuBuilder builder = new XMLMenuBuilder();
    Vector menuVector = (Vector)builder.renderMenu();XMLMenuBuilder.java
    public Vector renderMenu() throws AppException
      DocumentBuilder builder = factory.newDocumentBuilder();
      Document document = builder.parse( new File(xmlfile) );
    }My Problem is how can I make the builder.parse access the 'menu.xml' file under the 'WEB-INF/classes' folder
    instead of searching for it on the file system
    Any help will be much appreciated

    I got the answer myself
    Got the answer myself. I needed the ActionServlet Context in the ActionClass. This is what I have done...
    It works.
    LogonAction.class
    Code:
    InputStream is = getServlet().getServletContext().getResourceAsStream("/WEB-INF/conf/menu.xml");
    XMLMenuBuilder.java
    Code:
    Document document = builder.parse(is);

  • 1.6 Dynamic Photo Gallery - alt and title attributes from xml file?

    Hi!
    I would like to attach information to my gallery images from
    the XML-file used by the gallery.
    Especially the alt and title attributes for the "img
    id="mainImage"-tag would add a bit more user friendliness.
    I found
    this
    example about adding caption to images very help full and
    everything worked just fine, thanks to clear information!
    (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?forumid=72&catid=602&threadi d=1306782&enterthread=y)
    Could someone come up with an example of adding title/alt
    attributes values from XML file?
    I'm sure there are quite a few out ther who would like to see
    a solution to this ;)

    You need to add your info to the XML.
    So something like:
    <photo
    path = "travel_01.jpg"
    width = "263"
    height = "350"
    title="my title"
    alt_text="Alt Text"
    thumbpath = "travel_01.jpg"
    thumbwidth = "56"
    thumbheight = "75">
    </photo>
    Then in your detailregion:
    <img src="{dsData::large/@base}{@path}" alt="{@alt_text}
    title="{@title}" />
    I am using
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/spry_photo_album.html
    as the source of my samples...
    So, just add the data to the XML and then you will have these
    attributes available as data references.
    Hope this helps.

  • Flash xml file and file size?

    I have a flash animation that pulls in images using an xml
    file. I was
    wondering if the images must all load first? In other words,
    the images
    are timed to load at different times. I was thinking, when I
    did this,
    that the images would not be downloaded until they were
    called but I am
    starting to doubt this.
    Anyone have any idea how these images are loading?
    Basically, my main concern is that they are putting too much
    load on the
    homepage. I have a feeling I know what the answer is.
    Thanks

    whatever the size of your SWF is, is what is going to be
    loaded when entering your homepage. Flash doesn't know what images
    to load, until you make a call to load them. It will only load the
    assets on the timeline, and anything set to export on the first
    frame.

    Hi, how did you solve your problem in detail. I'm having the same problem with this rss-feed: www.spiegel.de/index.rss
    I cannot parse the url of the images. I'm looking forward to your answer.

  • Source Reformat menu item disabled for some XML files, but not all

    For some reason, the 'Reformat' option isn't available for some of my XML files (in Source menu it's disabled, in the right-click pop up menu it's not even there). For example in my META-INF folder it's enabled for .wsdl files but not .xml files. In the same project, it's enabled for all .xml files in the WEB-INF folder.
    Any idea what's going on?
    TIA

    Thanks to everyone for their response. But - it is NOT a copyright issue , it is NOT a DRM issue, it is not a Faber College double secret probation encoding issue.
    This is a simple .wmv file, that I have copied, burned, created a disk image, made a copy of and sent to the UK, Germany, Ireland and even New Jersey. It has been played on a MacBook Pro, a MacBook, a Dell whatever, a Sony stand alone DVD player, an LG DVD player. At least three nieces or nephews, and at least 2 canines have put it through ISO 9XXX rigors.
    The problem is that Apple Quick Time 7 Pro with Flip4Mac Pro "can't handle it"
    It opens fine, it plays fine --- but when I try to "output" it via the FILE menu - all of the options
    Share ...
    Export ...
    Export to Web ...
    are greyed out.
    I know nothing abour codecs and wrappers but I tihnk that this is the problem.
    What should I know about the file?
    Ffor example, years ago, all you needed to know about a Mac file was the "Creator" and the "Type" - both were 4 character codes. something like ADOB for Adobe and PMK2 for Pagemaker 2.0.
    Any help identifying the file and what I can use to get it onto my iPhone will be appreciated.
    Thank you.

  • How to retrieve image from XML  file

    Hi All,
    I am new to XML. So any best guidance is appreciated.
    The application requirement is to display image retrived from uploaded xml file in file upload section of our application. And store that image in database.
    In my XML file , images & strings & numbers & booleans are there . I am able to save everything in database except images .
    I am using JSF, Seam & Hibernate combination. In my Hibernate entity class i took BLOB datatype for image.
    I am using following tags in my Xhtml file to display image
    <s:graphicImage value="#{hibernateentitybean.picBlobtype}" height="200" width="200">
    <s:transformImageSize width="200" height="200" />
    <s:transformImageType contentType="image/jpeg"/>
    But image is not displayed in Xhtml file
    I am using org.w3c.dom.Document for retrieving node name & corresponding value in that node in XML file.
    I am getting code like below for Image when i am logging all values from XML files in my bean class .
    x0lGQRQAAAABAAAAAAAAAFJHAQARAAAAVwBhAHQAZQByACAAbABpAGwAaQBlAHMALgBqAHAAZwAAAP/Y/+AAEEpGSUYAAQIBAGAAYAAA/+0YLl
    I want to convert this value to image. So i can convert image to bytes and store in BLOB.
    Can anyone guide me ? or any other approach .
    Thanks in advance for any reply.
    Regards,
    Naresh

    final sun.misc.BASE64Decoder decoder = new sun.misc.BASE64Decoder();
    final byte[] data = decoder.decodeBuffer(cdata);
    Blob blob = new SerialBlob(data);//or what ever other DB-specific blob implementaiton Did i answered original question? Any more comments to my first replay?I can comment on this latest code. The package sun.misc is private to Sun (Oracle now of course). It is undocumented and may change or be removed altogether in a future release. There is a good free open source Base64 decoder in the Jakarta Commons Codec library.

  • Image gallery From an XML file...

    Will flash reconize an XML file that is parameter based (Call
    Functions) into a database to create a type of listing service to
    show homes for sale?
    My client is wanting a basic image gallery for now that will
    later become a a fullfledged interactive document later down the
    road for showing options in the homes they build. First, they have
    Spec homes that they want to showcase (simply put these are homes
    they already built and are sitting on the property that are move in
    ready).
    Step 1:
    The end user would visit an HTML (CFM) document where they
    would choose there search criteria.
    Step 2:
    then another page would show with an exterior photo of the
    home, and a breif description where the user would select the home
    they want to view more infomation.
    Step 3:
    This then would load the image viewer which is the flash
    file, that would call to the XML file to load the parameters to
    which home model to show.
    The home will have a unique home model name in which the
    photos are labeled accordingly the same way...
    Exterior = ModelHomeName.jpg
    Image 1 = ModelHomeName_1.jpg
    Image 2 = ModelHomeName_2.jpg
    Image 3 = ModelHomeName_3.jpg
    Image 4 = ModelHomeName_4.jpg
    Image 5 = ModelHomeName_5.jpg
    etc...
    Is there a certain way flash has to read the XML file with
    parameters to translate it? Or what is the quickest possible way?
    Thanks,
    Eric

    Any luck anyone?

  • My report contains a BLOB (image), why it can't generate an XML file?

    Hi guys,
    I created a report (Purchase Order) and it has a Signature field.
    which is a BLOB column of an image (.JPEG) of the signature of the Purchase Order Approver.
    When i run the report in the report builder its working and it shows the image of the signature.
    BUT when i try to generate xml file to use it for the XML Publisher, it generates an xml file with error. which can't be loaded into the .rtf file.
    i Googled around and it seems that there are limitations in XML Publisher that can not load a BLOB or LONG RAW fields.
    So Please guys i need your help! what can i do now ?
    They need the Purchase Order in a custom PDF format, which i can only make it with XML Publisher.
