Image navigator

I am trying to use a custom graphic from the image navigator in an expression in the Lookout 6.0.2 program, but when I use this graphic and convert it to a WMF, Lookout returns an error "Graphics Directory Does Not Exit!".  The graphic I am modifying is the T-Intersection pipe that is located in the NI Pipes folder that is accessed with the image navigator.  I have rotated this particular pipe 270 degrees and shaded it with a turquoise fill color.  I have used the straight Pipe and Elbow pipes from this folder and altered them then converted them to WMF with no problem.  Any assistance with this problem or a work around would be appreciated.  Thanks.  Werner

I got the same error. It seems that something wrong with "T intersection".
How about use "Tee_L.wmf" instead?  Insert->Graphic->Pipes->Tee_L.wmf

  • Image navigation bar for ePub Children's book export?

    I'm designing children's picture books in ID for export to ePub. I've seen some such books on my nook (ePub) that have an image navigation bar that pops up at the bottom of the page. Readers can scroll through reduced images of pages quickly on this navigation bar, tap a particular image and go directly to that page. I've looked through lots of tutorials but I don't see any that show how to do this. Can you point me to a tutorial that teaches me how to make this navigation bar?

    Exploring further, I see that there are some examples on the web of experiments with JavaScript on iBooks (don't know if they're supported on the Nook).
    Here's an example of a children's book interface from the Three Press Consulting blog:

  • How do I modify an Image Navigator Image?

    I'd like to modify one of the symbols in the image navigator by adding color to it and use it on a Labview panel. I can easily export or copy the image to a graphics application and add the color or otherwise modify it, but when I put it back into the image navigator and then place it on a panel, it has an opaque white, rectangular background. Is there a way to eliminate the background or make it transparent?

    May be you will find an answer here
    Hope this helps.

  • How to hover an image navigation?

    Hello everyone! I hope someone can help me. I've been
    following the
    Dreamweaver
    Tutorial, but i still have a problem on how to hover an image
    navigation. I just followed the code format on the guide which is
    shown below:
    quote:
    .navigation{
    font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;
    font-size: 16px;
    font-style: normal;
    font-weight: bold;
    color: #FFFFFF;
    text-decoration: none;
    background-color: #993300;
    display: block;
    padding: 8px;
    width: 140px;
    .navigation:hover{
    font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;
    font-size: 16px;
    font-style: normal;
    font-weight: bold;
    color: #FFFFFF;
    text-decoration: none;
    background-color: #D03D03;
    display: block;
    padding: 8px;
    width: 140px;
    and what i did is:
    quote:
    .navigation{
    display: block;
    color:#009;
    .navigation:hover{
    display: block;
    color:#009;
    background-image:url(images/gallerybtn2.jpg);
    can anyone enlighten me up? I just need it badly for my
    school project. :(

    It's just on my desktop.  The code DW created when I used the CSS Transition function begins at .navHome:hover.  What comes before that is mine.  Important point is that the image is in the html and I suspect it's not responding as background.  If I put it in CSS as a background image I don't know how to make it work as a link.

  • Interactive Images Navigation Bar

    Hi....been staring at this so long it's probably really
    obvious BUT........just cannot get the default INSERT/INTERACTIVE
    IMAGES/NAVIGATION BAR. to work properly. I've got all the images
    correct but it seems that although it's happy to display the UP and
    ROLLOVER states it will not display the correct image state for
    DOWN (which I'm assuming is the active state)
    http://www.isaandthefilthytongues.com/test.htm
    I've enclosed a link where you can see what I'm trying to do.
    Can anyone point out what I'm doing wrong......would be very very
    grateful!!!! DEREK

    I am using it as well
    #WORKSPACE_IMAGES#icpdf.gif
    and those are displaying just fine. Check if the images you uploaded are real workspace images or they are assigned to an application.

  • Dreamweaver random images + navigation sounds

    I have two questions about my site - www.rfdesignarizona.com  (it's up for your reference)
    1. I'd like to have it set up so that the upper left image randomly rotates when the page is refreshed. I've already prepped 3 other alternates - same dimensions. I'm not looking for a slide show that would cycle through all the images - just a random selection of the header image - displayed one at a time as a user goes through the pages of the site.
    2. Navigation side bar - I'm using CSS with a background image. Can I attach a pre-loaded sound to the mouseovers? I have downloaded some .wav files to use.
    ------I'm a novice at coding so please don't assume anything. I do, however, follow concise instructions quite well.
    I'm using DW CS3 - Mac.
    Thanks in advance for your help.

    Kaosweaver makes an extension that will do this.

    A little cheesy IMHO.  You would need to build your navigation in Flash and apply the menu effects with action script.    Flash menus are bad, bad, bad.  I implore you, don't do it.

  • Image navigation like TED

    Hi,
    My client is wanting a website front page similar to : http://ed.ted.com/lessons where the images load dependent on what you click on the LHS
    I think this page is database driven but I wondered whether anyone knew of a CSS / JS way to do it or something other than database.
    Thanks
    Nic

    Hi and thanks Ken,
    I can certainly do the ssi for that but it was more trying to figure out how to do the navigation part with clicking and showing images on click that had me confused. I have played around with CSS to do it but nothing seems to work so I guess I may need a direction to head in regarding how to do it if anyone has done anything similar before?

  • Using local/testing server with cs5 inserting images look fine in the split screen but do not show

    Hi
    If I open example: header.php and insert any photo jpeg/.html ecs i can see the images in the split screen but not in the browser if i save then refresh. I am able to make any change to the code ecs. and they are reflected just fine. I have tried this with my fireworks images .html and when that did not work i tried a strait jpeg off the desktop. This all did not work. I have deleted the local server then step by step created a new one via devnet instruction. This did not work! everything looks fine i even tried in 3 sep browsers with 0 luck....There is no remote server connected at this time because i am making a child theme for my current site. After all changes are done we will the ftp the word press files to site and change.
    Ps i even started over from scratch with 0 positive affects....

    After a lot of pain!!!!!!! the issue is fixed lol After 3 weeks I have overlooked the obvious !!! so the simple fix was the path of the image. Yes i feel stupid 10 years in lol....
    Apparently dreamweaver cs 5 will not use the full path when inserting images into the page example: If you drag the image out of your assets folder or however you do it, DW will give you a path like this <img src="images/glass.jpg" width="800" height="729"> This is not the full path and when your pist!!! you cant see things like that ;( so the image path should look like this:
    <img src="wp-content/themes/adszoom/images/glass.jpg" width="800" height="729">
    also in the html files example of bad then good!

  • How can I replace navigation buttons with obvious ones?

    Here's the web page:  http://josephskibell.com/. I've just taken over this website for a friend and opened it in Dreamweaver but the code is such that the existing four little square navigation buttons at the top of the page don't show up in design view (these change the book images).  The client wanted some more "obvious" buttons there because people are not understanding that those little squares are buttons.  Arrows may work better.  Can anyone advise?
    thanks

    Open scroll_buttons.css.
    The image sprite used is here:
    http://josephskibell.com/images/navigator.png
    My advice is to make a bigger sprite and change height and width sizes in your CSS code.

    How can I adjust the spacing on the slideshow page?

    iweb photos page's elements: header controls, detail view and footer controls are generated by ajax widgets, so there is nothing to in page source for you to find.
    If anyone has step-wise instructions, I'd appreciate it. Thanks much.
    that would be the instruction on how ajax widgets build photos page... there is none.
    you can send feedback to apple and ask for details on iweb widgets and tools to build widgets.
    that said, it can be done... check out with safari: http://temp.cyclosaurus.com/DetailView_Rearranged/Photos.html

  • Thumbnail creation during Image Upload

    In my application, I am able to upload documents to content server using KPRO API's.  Image upload works fine and I can display the same file in webdynpro image UI element. Now while uploading the image, i also need to create a thumbnail image and store it. I can use these thumbnail images for image navigation instead of actual file due to performance issues.
    How to create thumbnail images from jpeg image file?

    I'm trying to put the results of my tinkering into a blog - which should hopefully get published in the next few days.
    But just to update you here first
    Yes it can be done! - here's the proof:

    I created a new method in Thomas' class: TRANSFORM_RESIZE with 2 input parameters of type i, new_width and new_height.
    Then most of the code is pretty similar to the rotation code that Thomas had already written...

  • Saving and Loading specific properties of an Image

    Hey everyone. I'm currently in the process of developing a game which allows you to customize the color (hue) of your character via a slider. What I would like to happen is: Upon clicking either Accept or Play, it will save the current hue of the image, navigating back to that page will load what was previously saved (hue), as well as when starting the game, it will replace the standard graphic with the previously saved image.
    Below is the code I have right now that pertains to the image with a basic non-functioning properly saving and loading code:
    import flash.events.KeyboardEvent;
    // open a local shared object called "myStuff", if there is no such object - create a new one
    var savedstuff:SharedObject = SharedObject.getLocal("myStuff");
    Accept.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, SaveData);
    PlayBTN.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, LoadData);
    function SaveData(MouseEvent){
               savedstuff.data.username = Sliders.Dino.MovieClip // changes var username in sharedobject
               savedstuff.flush(); // saves data on hard drive
    function LoadData(event: MouseEvent)
               if(savedstuff.size>0){ // checks if there is something saved
               Sliders.Dino.MovieClip = savedstuff.data.username} // change field text to username variable
    // if something was saved before, show it on start
    if(savedstuff.size>0){
    Sliders.Dino.MovieClip = savedstuff.data.username}
    What I have above is only saving the actual image, which is inside a movie clip names Sliders.
    Below is the Class I am using that associates with the slider that changes the hue of "Dino".
    package
              import flash.display.Sprite;
              import fl.motion.AdjustColor;
              import flash.filters.ColorMatrixFilter;
              import fl.events.SliderEvent;
              public class Main extends Sprite
                        private var color:AdjustColor = new AdjustColor();
                        private var filter:ColorMatrixFilter;
                        public function Main():void
                                  /* Required to create initial Matrix */
                                  color.brightness = 0;
                                  color.contrast = 0;
                                  color.hue = 0;
                                  color.saturation = 0;
                                  /* Add Listeners function */
                                  addListeners();
                        private final function addListeners():void
                                  colorPanel.hueSL.addEventListener(SliderEvent.CHANGE, adjustHue);
                        private final function adjustHue(e:SliderEvent):void
                                  color.hue = e.target.value;
                                  update();
                        private final function update():void
                                  filter = new ColorMatrixFilter(color.CalculateFinalFlatArray());
                                  Dino.filters = [filter];
    Overall what I'm asking for is: How do I get it to save the current hue of an image by clicking a button, and then having that previously saved image be loaded upon reloading or clicking a button? To me, it doesn't seem like it should be too hard, but for some reason I can not grasp it.
    Thanks in advance for reading this and for any assistance you have to offer!

    This is the Class that you told me to use:
    package
              import flash.display.Sprite;
              import fl.motion.AdjustColor;
              import flash.filters.ColorMatrixFilter;
              import fl.events.SliderEvent;
              import flash.net.SharedObject;
              public class Main extends Sprite
                        private var color:AdjustColor = new AdjustColor();
                        private var filter:ColorMatrixFilter;
                        private var so:SharedObject;
                        public function Main():void
                                  color.brightness = 0;
                                  color.contrast = 0;
                                  color.saturation = 0;
                                  so = SharedObject.getLocal("myStuff");
                                  if (so.data.hue)
                                            color.hue = so.data.hue;
                                  else
                                            color.hue = 0;
                                  update();
                                  addListeners();
                        private final function addListeners():void
                                  colorPanel.hueSL.addEventListener(SliderEvent.CHANGE, adjustHue);
                        private final function adjustHue(e:SliderEvent):void
                                  color.hue = e.target.value;
                                  so.data.hue = color.hue;
                                  so.flush();
                                  update();
                        private final function update():void
                                  filter = new ColorMatrixFilter(color.CalculateFinalFlatArray());
                                  Dino.filters = [filter];
    And this is the FLA Code:
    import flash.events.KeyboardEvent;
    // open a local shared object called "myStuff", if there is no such object - create a new one
    var savedstuff:SharedObject = SharedObject.getLocal("myStuff");
    Accept.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, SaveData);
    PlayBTN.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, LoadData);
    function SaveData(MouseEvent)
              savedstuff.data.username = Sliders.Dino.MovieClip;// changes var username in sharedobject
              savedstuff.flush();
              // saves data on hard drive;
    function LoadData(event: MouseEvent)
              if (savedstuff.size > 0)
              {// checks if there is something saved
                        Sliders.Dino.MovieClip = savedstuff.data.username;
              }// change field text to username variable
    // if something was saved before, show it on start
    if (savedstuff.size > 0)
              Sliders.Dino.MovieClip = savedstuff.data.username;

  • Creating and connecting images to indicate tag values

    I am trying to create a simplified version of our plant layout on my front panel using images from the image navigator. I would like to create, for example, a rectangle and have it shown green when my discrete tag value is 1 and red when my tag value is 0. I know how to code this for LEDs, however the images I lay down on the front panel do not give me the same options. (and I can’t find a simple rectangle on the image navigator??)
    If anyone has any experience using this tool, I would like to know the steps involved from dragging an image on to the front panel to coding an image in the way described above.
    Thanks for the help,
    Stuart

    As the previous post mentions, search for threads on "customizing controls", there have been a number of those. Unfortunately, what you are describing, available in most of the SCADA packages (Intellution, Wonderware, etc.) isn't available in LabVIEW. To do it requires opening a boolean indicator (LED, etc.) in the control editor and then pasting in the appropriate images, doable, but a lot of work to get good looking, controllable images.
