Image processor not converting to sRGB

When I use CS4 image processor to convert PSD files to JPEG and check "convert to sRGB" the resultant file has a sRGB profile embedded.
When I use CS5 image processor to convert PSD files to JPEG and check "convert to sRGB" the resultant file has NO embedded profile.
Can anyone tell me why?
Thanks

  • Adobe Photoshop CS3 Image Processor not converting files to sRGB Profile

I have been experiencing a problem with Photoshop CS3 Image Processor no longer converting profiles to sRGB.   It converts all of the files from Camera Raw to JPEG, but not sRGB as well.  I used to be able to batch convert an entire folder of RAW images to JPEG, sRGB through the Image Processor.
My Photoshop CS3 Working Space is Adobe RGB (1998).  I need to convert an entire folder of images selected in Bridge to sRGB working space in order to publish a photo album from one of the on-line publishing companies.  I can open each individual Camera Raw file in Photoshop and convert each to JPEG, sRGB, but this takes a tremendous amount of time.
The following procedure has worked for me in the past, but for some reason no longer works:
I select the images in the desired Bridge CS3 folder.  Upper tool bar, "Tools" > "Photoshop" > "Image Processor".  In Image Processor:
Section 1 - ""Process files from Bridge only (11)"  Whether or not I place a checkmark by "Open first image to apply settings", it makes no difference in the outcome.
Section 2:  "Save in same location"
Section 3 - "Checkmark by "Save as JPEG, quality 12".  Also a checkmark by "Convert Profile to sRGB"
Section 4 - Checkmark by "Include ICC Profile"
I replaced my iMac one month ago and reinstalled Photoshop CS3, but this Image Processor problem had been occurring even with my old computer.
Not sure if you need this information:
I'm currently on Mac OS X Version 10.6.4
Processor:  2.93 Ghz Intel Core i7
    Memory:  8 GB 1333 Mhz DDR3
I don't know if it's related,  Photoshop CS3 on my old computer was running in Rosetta.  I don't know if it's running in Rosetta now, the name does not appear when Photoshop boots up.  How do I get it to run in Rosetta again?

  • Why the photoshop image processor not appear in bridget cc?

Whythe photoshop image processor not appear in bridget cc?

    Hello,
I had this problem too after I did the latest upgrade and installed Ps 2014 a day or so ago.  Bridge was missing the Photoshop option under Tools.  I uninstalled Ps 2014. Then for good measure I uninstalled and reinstalled Bridge. It still wasn't there then all came back after I reinstalled Ps 2014.  Good luck.

    HI David,
Have not tried to work with the SanDisk USB 2.0 Flash Drive since my email note.  Please know I want to save docs to a Flash Drive.
Opened the tutorial (pdf) to password protect  -- tutorial very clear on how to proceed -- cannot open the file  (Õ!∏ LÕ!This program cannot be run in DOS mode).
When I open the Adobe options to download, do not know which download to use -- believe it is Adobe Reader but cannot be sure.
It must be clear to you I am not knowledgeable about how to proceed -- welcome your suggestions.

  • Photoshop CC Can't convert to jpegs; image processor not opening

I'm on Windows 7. When I open a psd document in PS CC, I don't have the option to convert to jpeg, and a lot of other types, for that matter. Also, when I click on Tools/Photoshop/Image processor it will not open up. Any suggestions? Thank you.

It was already disabled when I checked. I enabled it and tried again, still didn't work. Anything else that might be wrong? i'm getting desperate lol

  • I SELECT A GROUP OF FILES AND GO TO IMAGE PROCESSOR TO CONVERT FROM PSD TO JPEG. THE IMAGE PROCESSOR DOES NOT APPEAR ONLY A BLANK PS SCREEN

How do I find image processor? It does not appear when I go to, tools, photoshop, image processor?

Double click the thumbnails you want in Bridge to open in Photoshop.
You can also first open the Image Processor and select a folder that you keep your files in. You do not have to open them first.

  • Image processor not saving settings for images to process

    Hello,
I have raw images taken by a Canon G9.  I am trying to convert these .CR2 images to LZW tiff's.  This is my process:
In Bridge, select images to process
Click tools > photoshop > image processor
Image processor window comes up.  I have the following settings:
-Open first image to apply settings
         -Save in same location
         -Save as TIFF
              -LZW
-Include ICC profile (no idea what this is, but it's checked)
    Click 'run'
    First image appears.
Apply settings by clicking the pre-sets button and selecting my preset
    Image looks great
    Click 'Done'
    Images process
At the end of the process, I get a message that says Sorry, I could not process the following files: (c:\temp\IMG-9678.CR2.  Which is the first image in my process where I applied my preset for the remaining images.
The remaining images are in my TIFF folder as tiff images, but none of my preset settings from the first image carried over.
    Am I missing a step?
Thanks in advance for any help.  I'm lost.

I guess that could mean that Adobe Camera Raw isn’t part of Photoshop’s Document Object Model.
But I suppose in such a case it should be possible to open all the images in ACR and apply the settings to all of them in one step with the Synchronize-button and then use a Script to save all open files.
Admittedly that would be less convenient than Your proposed way, but maybe someone else has a better idea.
»-Include ICC profile (no idea what this is, but it's checked)«
Please don’t take this the wrong way, but You should read up on color-management.
Not including the profile can generally be considered unprofessional (except maybe in an internet-specific context) and a potential source of problems.
An images’ pixels’ RGB-values can be correctly translated to the originally intended color only when the »key« (the icc-profile) for said translation is known.

  • Image Processor not working in CS 5

I have installed CS5 Design Premium on my Mac Pro at work. (Had installed the education demo, but it turns out my school doesn't fit Adobe's critereon for eligibility - and doesn't take it back after telling you that) although we have qualified for years, and we education people in 14 countries are are the top school in the world on our subject. No biggie, the upgrade's only $50 more with the NAPP discount.
But at home it installed just fine on my Mac Pro and works great. But at work, where CS4 works flawlessly, I can't get it to run Image Processor from Bridge, or import photos into Photoshop Layers, it does do Photomerge, but it also does not do HDR PRo.
Before the settings wouldn't stick in image processor, and I fixed the issue by changing permissions on the Photoshop settings folder in my user account. Now settings stick for Image Processor, but when I tell it to process a set of images, it keeps coming up with a dialog saying "Sorry, I could not process the following files..." and then gives a list of each file with it's the path.
I'm wondering if the javascrpits running this process are broken, or have permission problems. (Image Processor, HDR Pro, etc.)
If in Bridge, I seelct Tools->Photoshop->Batch, it gives me an error dialog: "FatalError: General Photoshop error occurred. This functionality may not be available in this version of Photoshop. <No additional Information Available>"
I rely on Photoshop for a very large portion of my work. And that includes processing thousands of images. I cannot see how this problem is unique to me. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a fix? Am I stuck with CS4 for automation? BTW, I can use Applescripts to automate Photoshop CS5. How wierd is that? Scripts I wrote work, but built-in ones appear to be broken on this machine.
Additional information: I'm on a Windows network using Active Directory and my company user account while this is happening. Where it works at home, it's just my own Mac running OS X 10.6.4. I have all the latest CS5 updates installed.

    But all the
files that are in my home directory (Snow Leopard 10.6.5) give that error.
Do you have a beta of Snow Leopard, to my best knowledge 10.6.4 is the
    latest version??
    I'm going to format
the drive on Monday and restore my system from Backup and see what that does.
First try the uninstall CS5 suite using the uninstaller that is in each
application folder. Also erase your serial number from computer and run the
    clean script:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs5clean.html
It is useless to reformat and after that reinstall from Back Up when you
also re install the current preferences, highly likely you will end up with
the same problem because you copied the old prefs again

  • Image Processor Not Working

    Hi,
I used the Image Processor feature to resize and save in a separate folder all the time in Bridge CS3. I recently upgraded to CS4 and I can't get the Image Processor to work. When I select the feature, it opens photoshop but nothing happens...it just opens the photoshop window but does nothing. Can anyone help? Does the feature not function in the same way for CS4? How do I properly use Image Processor in Bridge CS4? Thank  you!

  • Image Processor not working for me. Help!

In a nearby thread I've reached a stumbling block. Image Processor in CS4's PS is not working for me. I have a folder of psd's generated on the fly via File > Export > Data Sets as File... and now I'm trying to process those psd's to generate a JPEG of each. The only strange characteristic of the auto-generated PSD files is that there is no image preview available within the Finder. When a psd is selected the preview pane reads:
"This layered Photoshop file was not saved with a composite image"
I've verified in my Preferences > File Handling that image previews are always saved. (But I've been using PS for a long time and previews are always available with all my manually saved work.)
So here's what happens when I invoke File > Scripts > Image Processor...
In section 1 of the menu I select the source folder where the psd files reside
In section 2, I select 'Save in same location'
In section 3, I select 'Save as JPEG'
In section 4, I change nothing. No special actions. Include ICC profile is checked.
When I select run I get an error message: "Sorry, I could not process the following files:"
And then it lists what appears to be 3 lines per psd file in the source directory:
The path to the source dir
The name of the source dir
    The [source_dir]/[filename.psd]
    What am I doing wrong?

The part I don't understand is the "export" Part. File > Export > Data Sets as File.. on my machine is grayed out so I don't know how this feature is used. Is Export > Data Sets as File... used with CSV data sets and Photoshop variables?
Check your Photoshop preferences and make sure you have set in the file handling tab "Maximize PSD and PSB File Compatibility:" to Always using the pull down menu. If that is not your current setting try setting that to see if the exported PSD files contain composite previews. When I use save as PSD on my system I alway see Photoshop save through up a popup window stating generating composite preview image.

  • Image Processor not available

I have CS3 and in Bridge, I do not have the Image Processor option available. Does anyone know what may be causing that? I do have it available in PhotoShop but I want to access it through Bridge. Using OS 10.5
    thanks

I looked in my preferences for Bridge and cannot find anywhere that mentions
    Image Processor.
It should be visible in the Start up scripts section of the Bridge
    preferences.
But if it did work before and suddenly stopped a restart for Bridge holding
down option key to refresh preferences should do the trick.
If it never worked and it is present and working in PS itself but not
visible in the Bridge Start up preferences your install did not work
    properly I'm afraid.

  • Image Processor not closing Images

When I use the image processor from Bridge, I specify that I want it to process the images selected in Bridge, save as a PSD and run a set of actions.  The files do get saved to a PSD folder, but they do not get closed, so they all remain open.  This slows the process down dramatically and it used to close them all, as it should.  Any help in getting it to close the files after processing them would be helpful!
    Thanks!
    Jamaica

    Hi R_Kelly,
I am using CS6 (the newest version) and OSX v 10.7.5 currently.
I tried putting a save in the action, but since I'm batching raw files, it wants to pop up a save as box at the end of every image.  No bueno.
I tried each of the three actions, that I have combined into one action, individually and the system closes them all just fine.
Here are a couple of screen shots to see what the error is, the PSDs are created and put into the PSD folder (great!), but they don't close!
The action is made up of several actions that I use.  As I said, they all play fine individually and close as they should, but once they are all together, they won't close.
If you can figure it out, I'd be soooo grateful!
    Thanks!

  • Image Processor not outputting correct size

It doesn't matter whether I try from Photoshop or Bridge, the result is the same: I'm doing a simple JPEG resize to fit, from 603x603 to 100x100 but they always result in a size of 101x100! What the heck could be going on? I've tried specifying a pixel less i.e. 99x100 but then it actually does it at that size. BTW, I'm running it on an IMAC OS X if anyone has any ideas, thanks.

I've seen the same thing happen. It drove me nuts because it was in one of those
cases where the dimensions had to be exact. My solution (because I needed one
fast) was to trim off either a row or column of pixels. Probably not the best I
could have done, but I didn't have much time to work through it any deeper.

  • Used Photoshop Image processor to batch convert from CR2 to Jpeg and the edits don't stick

Ok, so I had a huge wedding where the bride paid me to deliver a ton of images.  Well, i did all my edits in ACR and then photoshop.  While in photoshop all the edits look to have been applied.  So, I use edit > Scripts>Image processor to convert the CR2 files to Jpeg in one fell Swoop.   Well, on my last run though (checking any images for missed edits or what not), none of of the edits were applied to the saved jpegs.  So I bring one up in Photoshop (the saved Jpeg) and the edits are applied in Photoshop.  So I click save and it tries to save as a PSD file (which it was not originally saved as).  I click to JPEG and it asks to replace the existing file and I do.  Voila, all the edits are a-pplied.  Now, I have about 200 images that I need to do this on.
Is this common with the image processor?  Is it not for converting processed Raw files to JPEG and keep the edits?
I'm very frustrated since now, depending on my misunderstand of the tool, I have to spend extra time saving the files again.  (At least I don't have to re-edit them)

I have action I wrote so that on large groups of pictures I hit my actions.  It goes through the whole set.  Then I hit my flatten and it goes through the whole set.  Then I go to scripts > image processor  and covert them to jpeg.
The weird thing is when I bring up the jpegs in photoshop, all the edits are there.  When I look through Photo Mechanic or upload them to the web, they aren't

  • Problem with Image Processor  CS5

From Bridge I use tools/photoshop/image processor and convert raw with xmp files to jpegs after entering description and keywords in Bridge File Info.  Suddenly, PS is not longer putting this information into the jpeg files.  Why?

I'm beginning to think CS3 just isn't capable of handling long actions. Just to give you an idea what I'm doing is watermarking my photos with 3 items: a text logo, url and name. each of them consists of the same steps with the difference only being on their shape, size and position. so you can imagine 3 separate actions combine into 1. to test out my hypothesis, I deactivated 2 of them and tested for each one without any problem. next, I combined any 2 and failed. so my conclusion is CS3 just can't handle long actions as well as CS2.
