Image script doesn't use the correct host name

I created a ZCM Imaging script so that I got a prompt for the name of the
workstation. Unfortunatelly the script doesn't work correct. I set as WSName
following Name WS999
After the Image was restored, the hostname was set to Company-SJCFNSG
(example: Company = Novell) NOVELL-SJCFNSG
What could be the cause of this problem?
Here the script i used:

I did find the solution!
In earlier Zenworks versions the wsname was set by "zisedit name=PCName01"
now in ZCM10 and ZCM11 the variable did change so I had to modify it to
zisedit Computername=PCName01

I scanned an image and want to use the image trace tool, but it doesn't pick up all the lines. Is there a way to darken the lines before using the image trace tool? Help!
If the scan is in B&W, then play with the Threshold setting here
If it's in Color, then you will have to open the scan in a Raster editing software (like Photoshop) and play with the Brightness/Contrast settings to make the lines bolder. -

How does the remote object connect to the correct host
i have had a small doubt on how the remote reference manages to find the correct host to call the subsequent methods after a sucessful lookup.
given a rebind or bind to the registry, the registry only stores the alias and the remote reference, now imagine a client calling a lookup on the registry would only get the remote reference, and not in which machine the remote object is found.
what i wanted to know is how does the client or atleast the remote reference returned by the registry correctly connects to the machine where the remote object is located. i dont think its stored in the stub bcos the stub is a complie time stuff.
i would be pleased to have a comprehensive answer for this.The membership in the group communication framework is always accurate and upto date.Up to date to the moment when you check. Not up to date to the moment when you make the RMI call.
i could basically chk if this ip is available in the membership list.Complete waste of time. It doesn't matter what you check ahead of time, you are still trying to predict the future.
And you still have to deal with ConnectException etc from the actual remote method call. And the way you will deal with that in your situation is exactly the same as what you were going to do if your ahead-of-time check failed.
So just catch the exception(s) and deal with the problem there. -
Can you refer to the original host name when using a challenge redirect?
I have an authentication scheme that uses a challenge redirect to cause authentication to happen using https instead of http. However, this seems to break some of our monitoring scripts because now the credential challenge is coming from a different host name. Is it possible to refer to the original host name with some type of variable in the challenge redirect parameter? Below is an example:
1. User accesses secured URL at http://appstenv2.company.com/testurl
2. This webserver is hosting several aliases (appstenv2.company.com, appstenv4.company.com, appstenv6.company.com) and has a main name of appsdev.company.com - but is a single apache webserver where there is an application server plugin installed which will route to the desired application server environment based on the original hostname. So if a user accesses it with a name of appstenv2.company.com/testurl they will be routed to the "test 2" environment application server. If they access it as appstenv6.company.com, they would be routed to the "test 6" environment application server.
3. This webserver listens on both http and https.
4. The current challenge redirect can only redirect to a specific URL so it is set to "https://appsdev.company.com" which works fine interactively but the recorded monitoring scripts suddenly see a new hostname doing the prompting for credentials even though it is the same webserver - just a different alias.
5. If possible, I would want to do the redirect in a relative fashion rather than absolute by using the original hostname from the URL being accessed. So, if the user was accessing http://appstenv2.company.com/testurl, I would like to redirect to https://appstenv2.company.com for the basic authentication. but with the same authentication scheme, if the user accesses http://appstenv6.company.com/testurl, I would want the challenge redirect to go to https://appstenv6.company.com. I'm hoping it's possible to use some system variable like SERVER_NAME to do this.

Does anyone know if that is available in OAM 10.1.4.3 or some other way to accomplish the same thing with a single authentication scheme?No, there are not multiple policies - the host names for all aliases on that single webserver are together in a single host identifier. And I realize I can only have a single challenge redirect, I just want to use a variable to redirect to the host name that was accessed as opposed to a static name.

I need to edit a series of images for a product cataloge and would need these images cut out so that the back ground is transparent. I've been using magic extractor am I using the correct tool ? I also need the lines to be more precise are there any other tools I can use to make the lines cleaner on cutting out ? I just need it looking more cleaner and straighter ?

If you’re working in a layer with locked transparency, the pixels change to the background color; otherwise, the pixels are erased to transparency. You can choose to erase contiguous pixels only, or all similar pixels on the current layer.

I have a jetpack, and when I try to "connect" to my ipad or phone, it keeps telling me I am not using the correct password. I have tried everything. I even changed the password, nothing is working. Chances are you mis-typed a character in the Wifi password and the devices saved that information. Now whenever you try to connect the device refers to the wrong password and the Jetpack does not accept your connection. Tell your devices to forget the wireless connection and start over.
Once you enter the proper WiFi credentials the Jetpack will allow you to connect. -
I get a pop-up message saying "A server with the specified host name could not be found", whenever I try to access any streaming websites/apps or even WhatApp over Wi-Fi and I cannot access the specific THING for that moment, and I've tried switching Wi-Fi On and Off both in my Phone and also in the Router. I got an internet connection and a Wi-Fi router just before two days, and it's happening since. I got the internet speed around 80kbps and i can easily stream YouTube videos except sometimes, I receive that annoying message. I can't even browse the internet in Safari, which says "No Internet Connection"(Even though the Wi-Fi is connected), and I can access it after somewhile (say 10 minutes, it'll be perfectly alright). I use iPhone 4s. And everything about the internet connection is totally fine in my Computer, but not in my iPhone, as I've explained the issues, above. If there are any technical settings that I should change/modify, either on my computer(Windows 7 OS) or in my iPhone(iOS 7.0.4), PLEASE let me know

'You Are Not Using The Correct Type of Phone Cord' Error
Having a issue with my fax on my HP Officejet Pro 8500 wireless. Tried to send a fax, it received a send error. I ran fax test and it came back with "You are not using the correct type of phone cord". Nothing has changed since I last fax'd but I check the lines and connection, everything appears ok. Phone jack is connected to 1-line and Officejet '2-ext' is connected to the phone. I use a dedicated phone # and the Officejet is set to auto answer. I can call out and receive calls on the phone connect to the Officejet. My assumption is that since I can use the phone without issue there is nothing wrong with the phone line. Any ideas?

View Solution.I was having the same problem. I'm using a the 2 wire phone cord provided with the printer and still getting this error. Turns out that it related to have a phone extension plugged into the printer. If I unplug the telephone form the extension jack on the back of the printer, then the fax test passes. I was even using a 2 wire cord on the phone extension but it seems that simply having a telephone plugged into the extension jack will cause this error.
Run the test without a telephone plugged into the printer's extension jack and you should be fine.

How do I get my ringtones back on my phone?
I lost my ringtones from my phone when I upgraded to iOS 6 on my iPhone 4. The ringtones are still on my computer and play in iTunes, but they won't re-transfer back to the phone. I'm using the correct iTunes account on both my computer and phone. In the iPhone view of iTunes on my computer, it shows that my phone recognizes that I had those ringtones, but there is an exclamation mark showing that my phone can't find the files. I can't delete these "placeholders" from my phone with the hopes of re-transfering the files back to the phone, either. I cannot just simply re-transfer the files from my computer back to the phone. It won't let me using the regular synch options and I can't find anything in the menus of iTunes to help me out either.
