Image upload failed after deploy to OAS

Hi, I've made an application to upload image to database with OrdImage type using adf:inputrender (adf library)
When I access that page via web browser, I got an JBO-26041 that says "no such file or directory".
I think this is because the application read the directory from OAS, not from my local computer... Is there any solution for this problem?
Should I set some settings in my web.xml file before I make the deployment profile?

Hi,
I don't have much information to go on here. But did you try the example for adf upload in:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/training/products/intermedia/index.html
Did you make your upload multipart/fom-data? Is your problem in Jdeveloper, or does it work correctly in jdeveloper?
In upload, there are two pages involved. The upload form page, and the http post location. Is it that you cannot see the upload form? Or, when you do the upload is that when you get an error?

  • Critical ADF application error after deploy to OAS

    <p>
    Hi,
    </p>
    <p>
    I have a problem with ADF application (10.1.3). It works in JDev but after deploy to OAS 10.1.3 when I try to go to page contains a lot of input texts and 2 tables , I get server error  - see it on this image .  It is very strange because this application worked earlier - where OAS uses JDK 1.5.0_08. Now JDK was changed for 1.6.0_01 version. J2EE container has allocate 512 RAM memory Is JDK version may be reason of this error ?

    </p>

    Hi Kuba,
    Do you mean that you changed OAS to use JDK 1.6? I'm pretty sure this wouldn't be supported. If you mean that you used JDK 1.6 to compile the project and then deploy to OAS, I'm pretty sure this wouldn't be supported, either. If you just changed JDeveloper to use JDK 1.6 to run JDev (although for sure this isn't supported), and the project still is targetted to JDK 1.5, this should work. I've had a few sporadic problems in this configuration, though, so I cannot recommend it.

  • Images in dashboard after deploying obiee 10g in weblogic server

    Hi,
    We have deployed OBIEE 10g in weblogic server at the location E:\BIDEP
    Initially for OC4j server we placed the images in two places:
    +1. E:\OracleBI\web\app\res\s_oracle10\images+
    +2. E:\OracleBI\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\applications\analytics\analytics\res\s_oracle10\images+
    and called the image in dashoard by Link or Image fmap:images/india.jpg We were able to disply images indashoard.
    After deploying, we also placed the images in
    +3. E:\BIDEP\res\s_oracle10\images+ (E:\BIDEP\ is the folder where we deployed obiee.)
    Now we are unble to view the images in dashoard.
    Please let us kow how to do this.
    Thanks.

    Hi MK,
    Thanks. It worked.
    One clarification. for OC4j Server I placed images in below:
    1. E:\OracleBI\web\app\res\s_oracle10\images
    2. E:\OracleBI\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\applications\analytics\analytics\res\s_oracle10\images
    For WLServer is it enough to place the images in below places:
    1.E:\BIDEP\res\s_oracle10\images
    2.E:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\base_domain\servers\BI2\stage\BIDEP\BIDEP\res
    or I also need to place the images in below place also.
    1. E:\OracleBI\web\app\res\s_oracle10\images
    In simple, at two places
    1.E:\BIDEP\res\s_oracle10\images
    2.E:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\base_domain\servers\BI2\stage\BIDEP\BIDEP\res
    or at 3 places
    1.E:\BIDEP\res\s_oracle10\images
    2.E:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\base_domain\servers\BI2\stage\BIDEP\BIDEP\res
    3.E:\OracleBI\web\app\res\s_oracle10\images
    Thanks.

  • Image Upload fails with Error 407: Proxy Authentication Required

    Hello,
      I am trying to upload Custom Template Image, however it fails with error :(407) Proxy Authentication Required message. i would have to admit that i am trying this behind a Proxy Firewall. So i do really need to know how to make this work and
    what is that i need to request from the Proxy team to make this working.
    Thanks
    TSANA

    Hello TP,
     Your Suggestion really helped and the upload is working. However because of the bandwidth being low, its showing 2 days. Is there any other approach to get around with this? I have also observed that, if we leave the upload over night , then it will
    show that the Image upload failed with exception. I have managed to rerun the script(same script) in same window, and luckily it continues from where it had failed. This is somehow not a good thing that Microsoft did not provide an option of using Azure VM
    as a template.
    Thanks

  • JDeveloper 10.1.3.3 ADF Swing - Images not rendering after deployment

    Hi,
    I have deployed my ADF Swing application in production in very simple 2 tiers architecture.
    One executal jar on my desktop and
    The database running on a Linux server.
    When I run MyApp.jar from my desktop, none of my images is rendered and LOV buttons do NOT work.
    The same application runs against the same dabase from Jedev environment shows images and LOVs work fine.
    Thank for your your help.

    I suppose that you use Java WebStart to deploy your application.
    The issue might be that you're using absolute path to load images into the application (c:\something\something.jpg). When you start your app in webstart, it doesn't allow the application the acces to the disk using absolute path. Even if it did, you wouldn't find your images in the same folder as they are on your disk.
    You should load images like this:
    ImageIcon icon=new ImageIcon(this.getClass().getResource("images/something.jpg"));
    This presumes that you store all your images in "images" package (folder).

    Hello,
    since a long time, i encounter this problem several times and deleting the "Configuration" folder does not change anything. Any version of dream do the same problem.
    I work on a lot of website dev with dreamCC on windows 7. I recently change my host webserver. All the server configuration is the same than the previous one.
    Unfortunately, when I want to upload my files on my server website and using dreamweaver ftp fonctionnalities, I now have a message saying upload can't start because data internal error.
    I can go on dreamweaver distant server, so the connection work fine. And I can see fresh files that I have uploaded with an other ftp client.
    May be one other location cache somewhere else is in conflict.
    When changing a website host, I always had this problem since a long time with dream.
    Any solution ? Thanks.

    Have you tried toggling the Passive and Optimization settings on and off?
    What does your new hosting provider say?

    the Win7 updates.  I can deploy that image to HP z820 workstations while injecting drivers.  Then I've tried two ways of adding applications, capturing that image and then re-deploying it to other target machines.
    First, I run a standard client task sequence that will deploy and capture an image to a target machine.  I put in a suspend command in the task sequence.  I can then add applications and then restart the task sequence.  If I don't add applications,
    and I just let the task sequence do it's magic, inject drivers, add any remaining Windows updates, and then just resume, MDT will capture the image.  I can then add it to my deployment share and then deploy it back to my target machine that it came from
    or any other similar target.  On the other hand, if I add all my applications during the suspend, MDT will capture the image, but subsequent deployments of the image will always fail on the target machine during Windows setup.
    Second, I can deploy the reference image to a target, let the sequence finish, add the apps, then run a sysprep and capture task sequence.  I finally got that to work.  I have an image with apps that I can deploy.  However, I go to a target
    machine that image was deployed to, I added for example Office and Winzip.  Then I run the same sysprep and capture sequence, capture the image, and when I deploy that image back, it hangs while setup is installing devices.
    Why am I having so much trouble just adding applications to an image that deployed perfectly fine before, but once I add apps, I can no longer use the same task sequences to capture and deploy?  These same task sequences will capture and deploy the
    image without the apps, but not with the apps.  I don't get it.
    So, what's so special about adding applications, and also can anyone give me a good reference for troubleshooting deployment issues where sysprep and setup fail for whatever reason?

    Hmmm... Applications should not cause hangs when installing drivers. In fact NOTHING should cause a hang like that... except for a bad driver. Go back and go through you driver manifest with a fine tooth comb and find the bad driver. That may include removing
    all of your 3rd party drivers.

  • Why I cannot connect to database after deploying application to OAS?

    Hello experts...i have a new problem and here are the facts:
    I`m using on Windows Xp:
    Oracle Database 10.2.0
    Oracle Application Server 10.1.3
    Oracle Jdeveloper 10.1.3.3
    I`m creating a new application using jdeveloper and i`m using 2 connection classes:
    a) First connection class using:
    InitialContext ctx=new InitialContext();
    DataSource ds=ctx.lookup("jdbc/connDS");
    Connection conn=ds.getConnection();
    b) Second connection class using:
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:and the entire link goes here");
    So far so good, but when I create a ear file using the First connection class and after i deploy it to OAS my application will not connect anymore to database!
    If I will use the Second connection class, and create an ear file then deploy it to OAS, my application works fine, it connects to database but i have a problem. In my application users can upload and download the files they uploaded. The files are saved in DB as blob. The problem appears when users are downloading the files because for example file "example.doc" is uploaded on the server database and when a user try to download it the name of the file is like "example_doc" and my pc open it like an html in which is a server 500 error. Someone told me that happens because of my connection class... and I want to find out you`re opinion.
    Why i cann`t connect to DB after deploy the application on OAS using the FIRST connection class?
    - on Jdeveloper i can connect to DB using both of the connect classes (one at a time)
    - I`m creating a war file from jdeveloper and deploy the ear file on the OAS
    - on OAS i`ve created the connection pool and the data source and "The connection was establish succesfully"
    Why the uploaded files are downloaded in this way? it`s the connection the problem?
    - I want to tell you that when i`m extracting data from the DB table i`m not using a temp file, the conversion is made in the java class and the program throws me the file to download.
    - as i told you in Jdeveloper both of the connection classes work!!! and when i`m using the FIRST connection class and try to download, the files ARE DOWNLOADED PERFECTLY CORRECT!
    - if i`m using the SECOND connection class in jdeveloper, running the application on the built in oc4j instance and trying to download the same files, the files are DOWNLOADED BAD like I told you: the name of the file is like "example_doc" and my pc open it like an html in which is a server 500 error. with the pdf format is the same problem but my pc cannot open it telling something with "bad conversion...." error.
    There are someone who had the same problem?
    Theoretically i had to make the application to connect to the database after deploy it to OAS with the FIRST connection class and this way my files will be downloaded corectly... what to do?

    no one knows nothing about this issue? :(... i`m dissapointed...

  • Images are not shown after deploying in apps

    After deploying my application in apps i have put all my images in media folder even then the images are not displaying, can any tell me what is the reason for this, but when i have deployed before it was working fine...

    when the page is displayed without the image, right click on the image place holder and click on properties. Under General tab,
    address will show you the place/url page is looking for the image. Make sure you have put the image on that path and the name of image mathes the case as well.
