Images from tv card - resulution issues

Question

Hi,
I have TV card.
I`m using JMF to connect to it and get still pictures.
I have two questions?
1)As i understand there is no way to get image larger than 640x480 even if my tv card supports larger resolutions?
2)I`m trying to change video resolution to 640x480 but still it captures images witg 320x240 resulition, here is code, where could be problem?

CaptureDeviceInfo deviceInfo = c.getDevice("vfw:Microsoft WDM Image Capture (Win32):0");
MediaLocator m = deviceInfo.getLocator();
Player player = Manager.createRealizedPlayer(m);
player.start();
FormatControl formatControl = (FormatControl)player.getControl ( "javax.media.control.FormatControl" );
player.stop();
Format [] vf =  deviceInfo.getFormats();
formatControl.setFormat((VideoFormat)vf[0]); //this is 640x480
player.start();
FrameGrabbingControl frameGrabber = (FrameGrabbingControl)player.getControl("javax.media.control.FrameGrabbingControl");
Buffer buf = frameGrabber.grabFrame();
System.out.println(buf.getFormat().toString()); //here is still 320x240
Image img = (new BufferToImage((VideoFormat)buf.getFormat()).createImage(buf)); //this is also 320x240Thanks!
