Images, website loading issues

pictures won't display on websites and some of them aren't loading properly

Assuming you are using Safari, go to your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Appearance tab.
Select:   Display images when the page opens
If that box was already selected, select the Extensions tab in Preferences. If you have any installed, turn that OFF, quit then relaunch Safari to test.
And empty the Safari cache. From the menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
And from the menu bar click Safari > Reset Safari
Select the top 5 boxes, click Reset.

  • IStore Images Batch Load Issue

    Hello All,
We have been working on setting up a Batch load for product images for our iStore and have run into an issue. First off, this is more of a batch association since we are using already existing items.
The issue we are having is that we are using APPS.IBE_LOGICALCONTENT_GRP.SAVE_DELETE_LGL_CTNT API to tie the images to the items. The process runs without error, but on inspection of the iStore page, the link to the image is bad causing no image to be displayed. Going through the iStore Admin and checking the Catalog / Content everything looks fine.
If I remove the association to the content for the item, apply the change, then re-associate the content and apply, everything works fine. So, it would appear that the content is not the issue. We will be loading 1000+ image associations, so having to manually fix each one is not a very good option.
After creating the Item - Content association, is there another API or something else that needs to be run so that the image correctly shows up on the iStore?
    Thanks
    Kyle

    1. Did you try using save_logical_content API.
    2. Did you verify the table IBE_DSP_OBJ_LGL_CTNT, IBE_DSP_LGL_PHYS_MAP. If data exists, Please send me an email to [email protected]
    Thanks

  • Could not load images - website loaded without formatting

I created a website with parallax effects which loads beautifully in Chrome, Safari and Opera but not in Firefox. You can check the website at "varun.web44.net". Please help me identify the problem. Is it a problem of Firefox?

That is a problem with backslashes in the URL of the files.
You will have to change the backslashes to forward slashes to make it work in Firefox.

  • Dynamically loading images: UI Loader issue

I posted this last week, but did not show good examples to get help. Admittedly, I am new to flash, so this may be a bit elementary, so my apologies in advance. I am trying to dynamically load images through the UI Loader component. Attached are the errors I get, and although I think that the coding is close to correct, when I publish, it just flashes up then restarts the movie... any ideas? Thanks in advance.

there's a problem attaching things to this forum.  so, nothing is attached.
can you copy and paste your error messages to this forum?

  • Image files loading issue

    Hi,
Image files like .png, .gif files were inconsistently not displaying in IE 8 and 9 not even getting red X. when i navigate to other screen it is displaying as expected. Am suppose to use HTML 5 with IE 8 and 9, even i tried HTML5shiv.js with conditional
    comments, but of no use.
I've downgraded HTML 5 to 4, still this issue exist. Even tried Clearing browser caches, cookies, history etc..
Someone help me on this please..
    Syntax background:url(../images/header/header.gif)

    Thanks, for your reply..
I've corrected it.. Its works as expected in Firefox and Chrome, problem with IE alone
My question is changing doctype declaration is alone enough for upgrading HTML 4 to 5?
    Previously, i've used is
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
    now i changed to <!DOCTYPE html>

  • Why wont images in my public website load for all users?

So far, from what I can tell, anyone with a Mac running OS 10.6.X and earlier cannot see photos on my public icloud website via the shared link generated by iphoto. The page will load with the proper headings, descriptions etc, but there are blank image boxes with a triangle error icon in them where the images would normally be displayed. The images will load on the page and when clicked on. Why is this happening? Why would something web based restrict users of older software from viewing images? If eneryone had up to date software and the latest hardware we'd all just be using photostream! That has to be a coincidence right? Apple?

I'm running into this issue as well.  Any ideas?  Screen shots:

  • How do I get a image to load first on website?

Not sure if this is possible, but I have created a website
and I have a image as the background. The only problem is that all
the other iamges load up before the background. How can I get the
background image to load first (so the viewer, when visiting the
site for the first time, sees the background image first) before
the other images load? Is this possible?

Possible? Probably. Practical? No. Necessary? No.
I'd suggest making your background COLOR a tone that reflects
    the image to
some extent. Then, make sure you REALLY compress that
    background image.

  • Website images not loading

    I recently uploaded our website www.acaciarecording.com. I
have run into the problem that the only page that loads correctly
in Netscape or IE is the homepage, all subsequent pages, the only
thing that will load is the html text and alt tags, no images will
load. I have compared the code on the homepage vs the others and
cannot see any visible difference - though I am not educated in
code writing. Safari runs the site beautifully. Any ideas?

All display fine in Safari, but I get those error messages in
    Firefox
    (Mac.) Now I'm really confused.

  • Websites loads pixelated images in firefox after update to version 23

After firefox updated to version 23 blogs that have image is loaded pixelated. I'm on windows 7. I tried every solutin I seen:
    open firefox in safemode ;
    deselect the "Use hardware acceleration when available" box ;
also the page basic style didn't help.
what can i do to fix this

Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    *Firefox 26: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
if possible uninstall your current Firefox version to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
    *(32 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
    *(64 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.
If you keep having problems then also create a new profile.

  • IE 11 Website Display Issues - Scripts/Images

I'm having website display issues with IE 11 on Windows 8.1 64-bit, ironically with Microsoft.com, Bing Search and TechNet forums amongst others. The IE 11 version is: 11.09600.16384.
    Microsoft.com looks as follows:
If I reset IE settings then everything is OK until the next GPO sync on the client, at which point the sites are all broken again.
Using the IEZoneAnalyzer tool I have sync'd Group Policy, then reset (IE settings > Advanced > Reset) and compared the differences - GPO defined/pushed settings under 'GPO', defaults (following reset) under 'Reset':
I've tried changing the settings that are different to no avail... any ideas?

aruntychons, currently I am trying to find out what the
PROBLEM is. I cannot blindly give solutions to unknown problems. I
gave you a good starting point for debugging in my first response.
I NEED relevent code samples to understand how you are doing
things, to know if I can even solve your problem, to know what the
problem is. Posting code samples is a standard part of the forum
    process.
That said, I took the liberty of downloading and decompiling
your SWF. I found the following URL - set as the variable "gateway"
    in your FrameSelect class:
    http://www.artomeframer.com/swx.php
When I paste this url into the browser, I get the following
    error:

On a quick look, perhaps this error is related to the
problem. The problem could be permissions on the server side,
whereas your computer has permission, but other computers do not.
Regardless, maybe this will give you a starting point to figure out
    where the problem is occuring.

  • FireFox images not loading in local folders (firebug error-Failed to load given URL)

I am having difficulty when developing websites in local folders (Windows7 computer). The webpages I make are showing images in IE9 & Chrome but not FireFox (nor Safari nor Opera).
In FireFox I get Firebug "Failed to load given URL" prompt.
I am using html5 & external linked css stylesheet & the html/html5 & css code validates.
I have tried using rel path ie images/image.gif & absolute path references ie C:/RPD_Programming/RPD WEB/amwcsnew/index.html
and have tried using % to eliminate whitespace in references but I cannot get FireFox to display images!!
This has been a problem for me for around 2 weeks now & is very frustrating. Some website code/templates I have downloaded from the internet display the websites properly (ie load images fine) when I open them locally in FireFox. Why does my code not allow the images to load in FireFox (paths/permissions/other issue??). How can I fix this?
Here is example css & html5 not displaying images from local directory in FireFox (fine in IE9 & Chrome):

Is there a FireFox guide/manual in pdf format available anywhere? I have not found one yet & a FireFox reference might be useful!

You need to use file:// as the protocol instead of C:/. The latter may never work (C:\ might).
Where is the main HTML located ?
Easiest if to store the images in a sub folder of the location because you can't go back via ../ beyond that root location for security reasons.

  • Reducing a SWF file size / creating "instance names" for website loading time improvement

Im hoping someone clever can help...
What i have done so far:
    1) Created a flipbook using indesign CS5.5 that contains approx 25
images (embedded PNG's), these need to be good quality as this is a
portfolio - I'd also like to keep the 'page curl' effect. This makes the SWF generated cira 25MB.
    2) created a Flash website "wrapper" to hold the above flipbook and add
features such as "bookmarks", links to other sites and forward/backward
    page navigation buttions.
The issue we have is that because the flipbook SWF is 25MB the site
    load time is slow.
What can be done to speed this up without compromising the image
    quality?
    1) Is there a way to make the indesign SWF smaller?
    2) is there a way in indesign to properly give each page an
"instance name" so that they can be controlled from flash and therefore
I can load each pages image as and when needed.
    any other ideas?
(If you'd like to visit the website to view the loading issue http://www.lizblackdesigns.co.uk)
    Thanks
    Liz

these need to be good quality as this is a portfolio
The approach to your portfolio website seems very outdated and will not help you in the near future. Flash is being used less and less with the increase in Mobile Devices being used to access the internet - a large chunk of which include Apple's iDevices which don't support Flash. This alone is a reason not to do it, however there are a few other big issues with the method you have chosen.
There is no "content" on your website for any search engine to find. No text. No meta data. No image alt tags. No titles. Nothing. In other words, your website will not be found by the people you are trying to attract. I would imagine for a portfolio site, you may want to re-think this approach.
The way the Flash file was created is the worst possible way to add Flash to the web as you have only embedded image files - and this is your entire site?! You could have included some text, which would have been viewable by search engines, and used color shapes to increase quality but lower filesize.
The filesize meant it took me over 1 minute to get off your home page. The average internet user will leave your site if you do not keep them interested after 5 seconds. In other words, you should have content of interest viewable within 5 seconds of load time.
If you are set on keeping the Flash setup for your website, re-build using as much text, color shapes and lines as you can (vector work in other words) and do not rasterize/export as image. This will drastically reduce load time and increase quality. You will also want to divide your file into sections and create more than 1 HTML page so that the browser only loads a bit at a time. You might also want to set a maximum size container for the Flash file as on my browser, it looks extremely pixelated and is very large, but unclear.
I would suggest looking into HTML5 if you are keen to create a website that can be viewed by around 98% of the web surfing people and it will also mean you can use an image slider (or similar) to show good quality images of your work. This will aid your site in being found by search engines but will also allow you to update sections of the site without re-publishing the entire Flash file.
