Images won't always display in a region

I have a confusing problem. I have loaded 5 gifs on my local version of APEX and designated them as application only.
To display an image in a region, I use:
<img src="#APP_IMAGES#AJ01.GIF">
That gif displays. If I choose any other gif, I get the "broken image" icon.
I have tried the same steps on the Hosted site and two of the five gifs work.
I have also tried #IMAGES_PREFIX# with no application selected and that does help.
Can you point me in the right direction?

Hi,
your example code doesn't show. You have to use a space between < and img or use some other sign like [ instead.
About your problem. Use
&lt;img src="#APP_IMAGES#yourimage.gif">if you uploaded the file to Shared Components\Images and assigned it to your application. <b>Note:</b> Check that you really assigned it to the correct application.
Or use
&lt;img src="#WORKSPACE_IMAGES#yourimage.gif">if you uploaded it into Shared Components\Images but didn't assign it to an application.
#IMAGES_PREFIX# is just used if you copy it into the APEX <b>images</b> directory onto the web-server. But you shouldn't do that, you should always put it into your own directory.
Hope that helps to solve your problem.

  • Adobe Reader 11.0.05 won't always display the GUI when opening PDF?!

I have come across some odd behaviour with Adobe Reader 11.0.05. In particular, the following issues seem to have surfaced since upgrading to 11.x from 9.x.
Opening a PDF from any application, launches an "AcroRd32.exe" process but the GUI is not shown i.e. you don't see a Reader window or PDF. If you try open the PDF again it will launch another instance of that process and still won't show the GUI. Killing all AcroRd32.exe processes via Task Manager and re-opening the PDF will then work.
Some users are experiencing the following error when opening PDFs via IE and other 3rd party apps.
We've deployed 11.0.05 across a few thousand 32-bit Windows 7 PCs and it's a little concerning that PDFs won't always open. At this stage it is very random, maybe 1 out of 5 times it won't show the GUI but launch the process. Our only workaround is to advise users to kill all AcroRd32.exe processes and try again.
Our packaged 11.0.05 was created as follows:
AIP created from 11.0 msi > AIP patched with 11.0.04 msp (Q) > AIP patched with 11.0.05 msp (OOC). Transform was created using Adobe Customization Wizard 11.
Oddly, this does not occur using Adobe Reader 9.5.5 (or other versions of 9.x).
Sounds like 11.x is buggy, anyone else experiencing the same issues??
    Thanks!

Yes, I am always having problems. Microsoft fixed the problem for me but it has reverted back to a trial I downloaded. I can't access my PDF at all.

  • Images don't always display

    At
    http://debseitz.com/press.htm,
the Cosmik Interview doesn't display the images all the time, yet
sometimes it does. All help fixing that is welcome!
    Thanks

You have a couple minor validation errors but nothing that
would cause the issue you are describing. When I loaded the page
there did not appear to be anything missing. Is there a specific
image on that page which has been giving you problems?

  • Inbox messages won't always display

I am having trouble with my inbox that hopefully someone can help with.
    Backround Info:
    System 10.3.9 on a G4 mac mini
    Mail 1.3.11
I have several accounts set up, personal ones on one server and a work account on a different server.
I recently imported my work account with all folders from Quickmail using emailchemy. I have been using Mail for the other accounts for several months.
    My problem:
When I open mail, I can see my office account inbox messages. If I switch to any other folder, either a different inbox or a stored mail folder, to view a message and then go back to the office inbox I get the following for my already downloaded mail instead of the mail message.
The message from "*" <*@server.com> concerning “subject” has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it.
The account is online continuously. If I quit mail and reopen it, I can again read the inbox messages. This problem is only occuring in the office account with the inbox and not in the personal accounts or any stored mail folders.
All thoughts and ideas are welcome.
    Thanks.
    Intel 2.33Mhz 20" iMac   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

This error message indicates an "overstuffed" mailbox issue which means the mailbox has approached or exceeded the recommended size limit or the mailbox has some corruption.
All email clients have limits and the recommended mailbox size limit for Jaguar and Panther Mail is 1 GB and for Tiger Mail, 2 GB.
An "overstuffed" mailbox issue can occur at any mailbox size but is more likely to occur depending on the number and size of message attachments contained in a mailbox and especially as a mailbox approaches or exceeds 1 GB in size.
This problem is more common with Jaguar and Panther Mail and has all but been eliminated with Tiger Mail which uses a significantly difference mbox format than previous Mail.app versions.
    On to resolving your problem.
With the Mail.app quit and using the Finder go to Home > Library > Mail > this POP account named folder (named by the user name and incoming mail server for the account) > INBOX.mbox.
Move the INBOX.mbox to the Desktop.
Launch Mail and a new INBOX.mbox will be created automatically by Mail within the account named folder. This will allow the Mail.app to function properly again while working on the old INBOX.mbox moved to the Desktop to recover the existing messages.
Control-click on the old INBOX.mbox moved to the Desktop and at the menu window that appears, select Show Package Contents.
Post back here listing the package content file names and size of each. I need this information to determine the next steps to take to recover the messages.

  • DW8:  image won't display in Design View

    Folks:
DW8 on MacOS 10.4.8 (fully updated) on Intel iMac.
What would keep an image from displaying in DW Design View?
What are the causes of the grey box with the superimposed "X"? Is
there any diagnostic output that might help? Is the grey box and
"X" substituted by DW8 for an invalid or un-drawable graphic, or is
    this done by the OS?
    The problem:
    I've got a 1912 x 1481 graphic, a geographic map, in AI that
I'm trying to use as an ordinary web image, but DW won't display it
in Design View. Instead all I see is a big grey box and "X". For
test purposes, I'm starting from a new "Basic" HTML web page and
all I'm doing is inserting this one image. I need to get this
working so I can draw hotspots on this graphic to make it
    "clickable" .
    Here's what I've tried:
o Triple-checking that the inserted image reference is
correct. Yes, the image file is correctly linked. With the image
selected, the inspector shows a tiny but recognizable miniature of
the expected image. Further, when the page and the image are
uploaded to the web server and I look at it via a browser, the
expected image is _always correctly displayed.
o Exporting the graphic "for the web" from AI as both a GIF
and a medium-quality JPG. Neither of these are displayed in Design
View; both are served up correctly after being uploaded
o I found a larger JPG on a different site I'm managing. This
always displays as expected in both DW Design View and when served
up. I substituted the failing map JPG image. The result: A grey
    box.
o Checking the map images: The JPG and GIF versions seem to
be visible in all environments (image readers, browsers, etc.) I've
    checked _except_ DW8 Design View.
o Checked on another system. I made the failing image
available to a very helpful ACE, who performed a similar
experiment. It worked fine for him. I used his exact HTML and
directory structure -- and it failed for me. Grey box with "X".
It seems to me that I've checked most of the obvious
possibilities. Now it is time to check the less obvious ones.
    Suggestions are very welcome!
    Thanks,
    Henry

    Randy:
    Thanks for your response.
This is a virtual memory system, so -- in theory-- it should
accommodate anything that will fit on the hard drive, more or less,
if I'm wiling to wait the hours (days?) it will take to swap on and
off the disk. That assumes DW8 takes advantage of the capability.
    It may not.
"Larger"? The JPG image I compared to is 1692 x 2160 pixels,
but weighs slightly less, 289K bytes. I'm losing track of all my
test images that fail, but a representative one is 1912 x 1481
pixels and weighs 332Kb on the disk. "Roughly comparable" might be
a better description. The point is still reasonable: DW8 does
handle images of this size on my system.
One issue that occurred to me recently is that I may have
caused some grief by monkeying with the "Save for web" settings at
the Illy export. Perhaps I asked for some configuration that's
normal for Illy to export --or it would have warned me, I hope--
but too strange for DW to grok. DW should complain more
informatively than painting a gray box and "X" when that happens, I
    would think.

  • I moved my podcasts and image files to a subfolder - now images won't display in iTunes

I moved my podcasts and image files into a subfolder. The podcasts are working OK, but the image file does not display in iTunes anymore.
The feed is directed through feed burner at http://feeds.feedburner.com/VineyardChurchOfMilan.
The source xml is at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/rl89sk4lkrn9930/Zm0Jb6C1Hj/Podcast (MilanVineyardChurch.xml)
The iTunes link is at https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/vineyard-church-of-milan/id562567379
I added "/Podcast/" to the image path url in the <itunes:image> tag in the xml file and updated the path to the xml file in feedburner, but I did not add the <itunes:new-feed-url> again. Do I need to do this to force the iTunes scripts to reread the whole file again? I thought that if the iTunes scripts are reading the feedburner file that they would pick up path changes to the image when they read the feedburner file. The location of the feedburner file has not changed. Only the location of the source xml and the image have changed. Feedburner is working right, and shows the image.

You have changed the image URL in the 'image' tag but you have not changed it in the 'itunes:image' tag, and that is what is applicable here.
iTunes is looking for an image at
    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/89406141/MilanVineyardChurch.png
and not finding one there. When you have amended the tag with the new URL it will probably take some days before the image appears in the Store.
The new image is apparently at http://dl.dropbox.com/u/89406141/Podcast/MilanVineyardChurch_144.png - this is 144x144 which is inadvisably small for iTunes.
Although your episodes, which have Feedproxy URLs, are appearing OK, iTunes does not get on at all well with Dropbox and you might be advised to consider hosting your image on an ordinary web server. However, it's possible that it will work once you've amended things.

  • Xfce won't detect display after unplugging

Ok, I have 2 monitors at home, unfortunately 1 of the ports in my graphic card won't work.
For certain reasons, I need to use 1st display during the day, and the 2nd during the night.
But, if I just unplugg the cable from 1st display and plug it in the 2nd the screen just won't come on.
When this happens, I can access to tty2 and tty2 detects screen and displays image, restarting lightdm also displays image in display (but somehow this breaks pulseaudio leaving me with no sound :S ).
    Any idea?
PS. Of course I have selected the option "Detect new screenwhen plugged" on Xfce Display Settings.
    Thank you

    NO
    This is what want:
    1. Startup computer using Monitor A
    2. Unplugg HDMI cord from Monitor A and connect it in Monitor B
(After this, Monitor B goes black on tty1 (used by lightdm) and I can only have tty2, tty3 and all others available)
    3. Keep picture in Monitor B when plugged, without the need of restarting lightdm or the whole computer
Until now the only workaround is this:
    1. Startuo using Monitor A
    2. Suspend system
    3. Plugg Monitor B
    4. Resume system
THanks and sorry for not being that active

  • Need help with image upload and preview display

    hi guys,
I'm trying to upload image and then display it as a preview, but when upload form submits to the same page image placeholder does not refreshes it's source and displays the same image as before.
    Image 4.jpg already exists.
I upload it with nameConflict = "overwrite"
upload form points to the same page, therefore page reloads
In IE image placeholder does not display the new image, but shows the old one until I refresh the page with F5 and resend information, however if checked, image in the file is already different.
In Firefox, sometimes it works and image refreshes, sometimes not.
any help would be greatly appreciated!
    cheers,
    Simon

    Hi Daverms,
With your code you suggest to not only upload the image but make a database entry too. However my intention is to firstly upload the file, and show a preview. Then if user is satisfied with what he sees, he presses "aprove" button and therefore makes a datase entry. Then the photo number will increase by one.
Until user is not aproving the photo he can upload any image again and again, but the new image will be always given the same name (example 4.jpg) and overwriting the old one.
I believe the problem persists because browsers are loading image with the same name from the cache, and not from the actual location. Therefore when I refresh the page it catches the correct image.
If I follow your code, every time I upload the image, name of it is different, therefore browser cannot find it in the cache and is forced to load one from the server.
I wonder is there any way to avoid this cache problem?
    cheers,
    Simon

  • Images won't show up in edit mode

Okay this one really has me baffled.
When I go into Aperture 3.6 and go to edit images in either split view or viewer mode, the images won't display.  I can see the thumbnail preview, but nothing else.
    Help!

  • Always displays the default saved search in af:query

    hi,
The saved search drop down lists the saved searches but could not select another saved search. The dropdown selected value always point to the default saved search, as well as it's UI in criteria region. The same behavior in saving a new search, it will always refresh to the default. What seems to be the problem here? The current QueryDescriptor point to the new search but the UI always displays the default.
    Thanks in advance.

Found the solution. The queryDescriptor getter calls again the default value that's way it doesn't change. Thanks for the time.

  • Adding an "IMAQ Image.ctl" to the "Display State.ctl" of an XControl prevents LabVIEW from creating a probe of "Display State.ctl"

I am working on an extended IMAQ Display control using LabVIEWs XControl capabilities.
I need a copy of the original image passed to add some overlays which must not affect the original image. To achieve this I am creating a backup image in the "Init.vi" and deleting it in the "Uninit.vi". I am storing the reference of this image in the "Display State.ctl" which is part of every XControl.
As soon as I am adding an "IMAQ Image.ctl" to the Display State cluster, it is no longer possible to generate a probe of the Display State cluster for debugging purposses. I am always getting the message: "Failed to load or create probe."
Deleting the "IMAQ Image.ctl" from the cluster makes the probe working again.
Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong?
I am working with LabVIEW 8.5 and Vision 8.5.

    Ingo Bartsch

    Hello Mr. Bartsch,
is it possible for you to post a small example to reproduce the behaviour? It would be helpful to get a description in which way you use the typedef files.
I found a example/knowledge base where some informations were included to XControl and LV but not with Vision.

  • N96 Photo Editor - Edited image won't save

When I open a photo, and select 'Edit' from options, I rotate my photos to the correct composition (as they were taken upside down!) and then from options I select 'Save'. The progress bar appears to indicate the device is processing the change.
However on returning back to the image menu, the photo simply reverts back to how it was before. Which is annoying as with the auto rotate switched on its impossible to look at photos when are upside down!
Am I missing something out or is there a bug in the image editor?
    Hope you can help, thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi,
I've just tested this and you are right - it does revert back to displaying the original photo after saving. If you then just click "Back" to return to the menu, you may no see the image depending on which option you selected when you went into "Photos".
The new image won't appear in "Captured items" because it is not an image actually taken with the phone's camera. If you go back to the Photos menu and select "All", your edited image should appear in there.

  • Disk Image Won't Mount - Reason: Device Not Recognized

As I've searched the discussion forums, I've seen plenty of postings for "Disk Image Won't Mount" and for "Device Not Recognized" but not the way I'm seeing it on my laptop.
After a backup and restore, my mac will no longer mount any... and I mean any images. I have downloaded several security or software updates from different vendors and each .dmg file will not mount. I still have the .dmg files in hopes that after I get this problem solved, I'll be able to install them, but...
It always gives the same reason for not mounting and I'm at a loss on what to do next. I've run Software Update hoping it will be a quick fix, but have had no success.
    Any suggestions?

I have a similar problem. Using FireWire disk mode, I put a disk image of my entire iBook onto my iMac as a back-up. (For an unrelated problem, Apple told me I needed to erase my iBook completely and do a clean install of the system.) Well, I screwed something up. I don't know what exactly--maybe I didn't "put away" the device correctly, but the next day when I flipped on my iMac, the disk image of my iBook was just gone, and not to be found anywhere. I finally succeeded in restoring the image using TechTool, which scanned the entire volume of the iMac for directory information. And it's all there, because the img file is more than 10GB. But when I double-click on it, I get the following error msg: "The following disk images failed to mount...reason--not recognized." I've checked the app it's supposed to open with, permissions, and run Disk Utility volume repair. No dice. Any ideas??? Did I mention that this is EVERYTHING I had on my iBook???

  • Images won't import from Lightroom. (I have Creative Cloud 1.7.1.418/Photoshop (2014)/Lightroom 5.6)

Images won't import from Lightroom to be edited. There were no problems until I upgraded to Photoshop (2014). LR & Photoshop work well independently (I have Creative Cloud 1.7.1.418/Photoshop (2014)/Lightroom 5.6). All are up-to-date.

I had the same problem.  It seems the scripts that control the transfer of images from LR to Photoshop got deleted or messed up.  The fix I found on the LR forum was as follows:
This solution allows you to run a repair installation without uninstalling Photoshop CC 2014. If you've already uninstalled Photoshop CC 2014, install it from the Apps tab of the Creative Cloud desktop application.
Open the Creative Cloud desktop application.
    Select the Apps tab.
Scroll down (if necessary) until the Find New Apps section displays.
On the same line as Find New Apps, select Filters & Versions > Previous Version.
Click the Install button next to Photoshop and select CC 2014.
    Click Yes, install this version.
Once I did this, the interaction between LR and PS CC 2014 started working again.  I did notice that Photoshop showed up as needing to be updated in the Adobe CC application so I just clicked on the update button and after a few minutes photoshop had been updated.  The importing function still works so I think everything is OK.
Not sure if this was part of the problem, but after updating the PS CC 2014 application  the first time, I uninstalled the original PS CC application as I didn't need it anymore.  I'm thinking that may have caused the scripts to be uninstalled along with the PS CC application.  Rerunning the installation put things back to normal.
    Hope this helps.

  • Image can't be displayed synchronous

    Hi Folks
Here is a question about the image obtained from the camera can't be displayed synchronous in the indicator. What I want to do is to display the raw image in the indicator( called "Image"). I already set the indicator as synchronous display, but when I ran it, image couldn't be displayed constantly, always flashed. I probed the wire connecting to the indicator, but the image out gave a constantly, accumulated image. That's so weird that the indicator on the front panel couldn't show the image constantly.
I attached the picture of block diagram and front panel.
