IMEI Number Tracking of Mobile phones

Presently, I am working on an implementation project in one of Mobile company which imports mobile phones. The mobile phones have unique IMEI nos. The Dual SIM mobiles have 2 - IMEI nos. When the Goods is received the list of IMEI nos. is received as EXCEL sheet. This list is required to be mapped with the mobiles when GR is prepared. Can any one suggest how it can be done.

Just like the title says, is it possible to obtain phone IMEI number with flex mobile project? If not, does anyone know of another method to get a unique number to identify the phone being used (on android and iphone)? I'm asking because I'm building a chat application, and I need a way to potentially ban users based on something other than an IP address.
edit: now that I think about it, an IMEI number might not be the best way, since wifi tablets may not hav an IMEI number, anyone have any other idea how I could get a number to identify a device that would already be present, because i'm afraid if its something generated by me, a simple uninstall and re-install could circumvent a ban.

I have verified that it does work and provides the IMEI. For cases where there is no IMEI ( bc the device is not a mobile phone, or it uses IMSI instead ), you can just bypass the device id check with your database, and enable full functionality.
Although this is not full-proof, it will nevertheless screen a lot of devices. With this, you can keep track of the number of app installs / resets, and add a 'banned' flag if you want to in your DB -- if you see unusal activity ( like: unsually high number of re-installs ).

I have verified that the iOS part works, but haven't tried the Android side, yet. Note: for iOS, it will also give you a UUID ( even though the object tag claims it is the UDID -- it's not ), which is worthless as a persistent means of identifying the device. since it gets reset on each app re-install. So, for iOS, you have to use the MAC address, unless you are willing to store/restore the UUID into EncryptedLocalStore, as suggested by a user in:

You can't use the IMEI number for tracking it, you can only potentially do that if you had Find My iPhone enabled on it - if you did then you can try locating it via http://icloud.com or the Find My iPhone app on another iOS device.
For the IMEI number, do you have you got the phone's box or have a backup of the phone on your computer's iTunes : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4061 ?
If it was stolen then you should report it to the police. You should also change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc.

Hello community members, my iPhone has been stolen and I tried to contact police, they are asking for IMEI number of the phone. Unfortunately I could not read the IMEI number on the box due to moisture wiped out most of the number on it. I sacanned it in and enhanced, I'm still unable to read out the number. If you backed up your iPhone in iTunes on your computer -
Open iTunes - Edit - Preferences - Devices - See Device Backups in the Window.
Hover mouse/curser on any backup. Read IMEI and Serial no. your of iPhone.

How to find out the mobile number of the mobile phone?

At first start of the program i do a HTTP GET Request to a webserver. I would like to send the mobile number from the mobile phone in order to identifty the request stamps from.

Are you serious? But you can receive SMS, and you can send SMS, both of them should now where they go to or where they stamp from?
Can't I use WMA in any way to obtain the number?
I mean, if I can send an sms to someone then I should be able to determine my mobile number?
One way to solve this problem: I could send an SMS to a static number, this client sends back an SMS with the receiver number within the payload text..
but isn't there a more elegant solution?

If you are a resident of Japan, you can get a Japanese Online Number from Skype. Once you have that, you can have calls to that number - or any call to your Skype account from other Skype users - forwarded to the Sri Lankan mobile phone. You will need to purchase Skype Credit to cover the cost of those calls out to the Sri Lankan number.
If a person from some other country call my Online Number in Japan, can i anser this call using skype.
Even if you have call-forwarding enabled, you can still answer calls when you are logged into Skype. Then you are not having to pay for the cost of calls forwarded to that Sri Lankan mobile number, for example.

Basically, my iphone has been stolen and I did not have 'Find my Phone' downloaded beforehand. I think I might have found someone trying to sell it, after a long time researching and I was wondering if there is anyway of identifying it. I therefore was wondering if the IMEI number, serial number or the part number was specific to the phone as I still have the box with these on.

I am using BB Q5. somehow my phone has been lost / falldown after my noumirous try to track it could not workout. is there any kind of security in the smatphone throughtwhich if someone has start/ switchon my hand set it will prompt any message to him or send some loction to the register email id. My iphone 5 has a 2 year contract with UK's carrier EE. And recently I want to unlock my phone via IMEI number. But I replace my phone last year in Apple Store due to broken power buttom. And the IMEI of my old phone is missing. I need to use the old phone's IMEI number to unlock my phone from EE.
I just want to know how I can get my old phone's IMEI number?

if you synced it with your computer it should be listed in the preferences of itunes on the computer
otherwise it's on the box of the phone

I'm currently in Singapore and using Skype to keep in touch with my boyfriend in the U.S. I set up a Skype caller ID number several days ago so that when I call my boyfriend through Skype, he can see that caller ID number and know it's me. My question is, is it possible for my boyfriend to text me on that caller ID number using his mobile phone? And if so, will I have to be signed into Skype to receive his message? How will I be charged?

SMS API(WMA) is an optional package. It is not a MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0 api's.
There are phones which has WMA api with MIDP1.0 support .... Nokia 3650

If they didn't have your correct IMEI, they could not have supplied service to your phone.

What did Apple support tell you when you contacted them? Why ask us what Apple will do when you can ask them yourself?
This all begs the question as to why you want the IMEI number for this lost phone. What you need to to is inform your carrier and have service cancelled. Some carriers will blacklist that EMEI number.
