  • IMG Menu is not showing Financial accounting New in ECC 6.0

    Hi
We have completed a technical upgrade from 4.7 to ECC 6.0 but IMG menu of ECC 6.0 is not showing financial accounting new.I believe financial accounting new is the integral part of ECC 6.0 and both the menu Financial accounting and financial accounting new should show.
If anybody has face this issue,Please respond
    Regards
    Gaurav

    Hi Markus,
I do have access to u201CActivate New General Leader Accountingu201D but help of this node says below points:
The functions for new General Ledger Accounting become available.
In the SAP Reference IMG, the previous Financial Accounting menu is replaced by the Financial Accounting (New) menu. Under Financial Accounting Global Settings (New) and General Ledger (New), you can make the settings for New General Ledger Accounting.
You activate the tables of new General Ledger Accounting so that your posting data is written to them.
    Caution:
If you already use classic General Ledger Accounting in your production system, you need to perform the migration of this data before you activate New General Ledger Accounting. Migration is only possible as part of a project. For more information, see the documentation in the SAP Library under Accounting -> Financial Accounting -> General Ledger Accounting (New) -> Tools -> Migration.
I guess this tab is use at the time of going for the functional upgrade which I believe a separate project. We only want to have that both the node u201Cfinancial accountingu201D and u201Cfinancial accounting newu201D should appear.
Please suggest if you have any idea or any person who had faced the same kind of problem in past.

  • How to add own customized transaction in SPRO (IMG Menu Path)

    Dear All,
I have a requirement of adding new customized transaction in IMG menu path. Can you please help me out how to do that?
    Best wishes,
    Atanu

    Hi
    Can you try this way:
You need to modify the structure ( node ) that you want to modify using transaction SIMGH. First you need to go to transaction SIMGH.
In the IMG structure just press f4 -> you need to give the title of the structure that needs to be edited. f8. Then you can modify the structure -> insert node.
You need to give the node text.
After creating the node, click on the node and select insert activity.
In the ID field give an entry, Give the description in 'name'.
Please check this link on how to add a node in IMG.

  • DSD in IMG menu

    Hi all.
I'm starting to investigate the Direct Store Delivery.
I have 2 systems (both SAP 6.0). In one of them in the IMG I can see the menu point "Direct Store Delivery" under "Logistics Execution", but in the other one this point doesn't appear.
Please, can anybody give any idea about the configuration of the DSD?
Is there any relatioship with SAP ECC Extensions?
    Tranks in advance and regards.
    Santiago

    12. Defining Common Divisions for Master DataUse
The purpose of this activity is to define distribution channels which have common master data..
    Procedure
Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
IMG Menu -> Sales and Distribution -> Master Data -> Define Common Division
    Transaction Code: VOR2
    Pricing Procedure
In SD, Pricing Procedure is determined based on Sales Area (Sales Organization + Distribution Centre + Division) + Customer Pricing Procedure + Document Pricing Procedure. Sales Area is determined in Sales Order Header Level. Customer Pricing Procedure is determined from Customer Master. Document Pricing Procedure is determined from Sales Document Type / Billing Type (if configured). Once the pricing procedure is determined, Condition records are fetched. If appropriate condition records are found, the price is determined. If Mandatory pricing condition is missing, system will through an error message.
In SD, the steps to configure Pricing procedure are as under:
    Step 1:
Condition table: If existing condition table meets the requirement, we need not create a new condition table. Considering the requirement for new condition table, the configuration will be done in spro as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function --> Pricing Control --> Condition Table (select the required fields combination, which will store condition record).
    Step 2:
Access Sequence: If existing access sequence meets the requirement, we need not create a new access sequence. Considering the requirement for new sequence, the configuration will be done in spro as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function --> Pricing Control --> Access Sequence (Access sequence is made up of Accesses (Tables) & the order of priority in which it is to be accessed. Here we assign the condition table to access sequence.
    Step 3:
Condition Type: If existing condition type meets the requirement, we need not create a new condition type. Considering the requirement for new condition type, the configuration will be done in spro as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function --> Pricing Control --> Condition Type. It is always recommended to copy an existing similar condition type & make the neccessary changes. Here we assign Access sequence to Condition type.
    Step 4:
    a. Pricing Procedure: It is recommended to copy a similar pricing procedure & make the neccesary changes in new pricing procedure. Pricing Procedure is a set of condition type & arranged in the sequence in which it has to perform the calculation. Considering the requirement for new Pricing Procedure, the configuration will be done in spro as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function --> Pricing Control --> Pricing Procedure --> Maintain Pricing Procedure.
    b. Pricing Procedure: After maintaining the pricing procedure the next step will be determination of pricing procedure. Configuration for determining pricing procedure in SPRO is as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function --> Pricing Control --> Pricing Procedure --> Determine Pricing Procedure.
    5. Condition record: Condition record is a master data, which is required to be maintained by Core team / person responsible from the client. During new implementation, the condition records can be uploaded using tools like SCAT, LSMW, etc.
    Normal Sales Order Cycle:-
    Step 1: Sales Document Type
IMG > Sales and Distribution > Sales > Sales Documents >
    Sales Document Header:
    1. Sales Document Type:The sales document types represent the different business transactions, such as Inquiry, Quotation, Sales Order, etc. To create new sales order type, always copy as with reference to similar sales order. If possible use standard sales order.
    2. Define Number Ranges For Sales Documents: Maintain number range with discussion with core team.
    3. Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types:
    A. Combine sales organizations / Combine distribution channels / Combine divisions: Ensure to maintain these, else Sales Order creation will give error.
    B. Assign sales order types permitted for sales areas: Assign only required Sales Order Types to required Sales Area. This will minimize selection of Sales Order Type as per sales area.
    Sales Document Item:
    1. Define Item Categories: If possible use Standard Item Category. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Assign Item Categories: If possible, use standard. Formula for deriving item category: Sales Document Type + Item Category Group + Usage + Higher Level Item Category = Item Category
    Schedule Line:
    1. Define Schedule Line Categories: If possible use Standard Schedule Lines. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Assign Schedule Line Categories: If possible, use standard. Formula for deriving Schedule Line: Item Category + MRP Type / No MRP Type.
    Step 2:
    IMG > Logistic Execution > Shipping > Deliveries >
    1. Define Delivery Types: If possible use Standard Delivery Type. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Define Item Categories for Deliveries: If possible use Standard Item Categories for Delivery Type. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    3. Define Number Ranges for Deliveries: Ensure to maintain number range.
    Step 3:
IMG > Sales and Distribution > Billing >
    1. Define Billing Types: If possible use Standard Billing Type. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Define Number Range For Billing Documents: Ensure to maintain number range.
    3. Maintain Copying Control For Billing Documents: Maintain relevant copy controls such as Sales Order to Billing, Deliver to Billing, etc.
The configuration differs from scenario to scenario & requirement of the client.

  • Accordeon menu + Indesign DPS

    Hey everyone,
I have a question concerning the following item:
I'm currently working on a file and there's need for an accordeon menu.
Of course the accordeon menu is (built with) HTML. I'm no hero at HTML so there's another party that will develop the menu.
But I have to integrate the HTML menu into the indesign file like Rufus explains here:
    http://tv.adobe.com/watch/muse-feature-tour/muse-creating-content-for-dps/
Each item of the menu will contain sveral buttons that eventuall should link to a page within the final DPS file.
But here comes the trick question:
Like I said earlier we want to integrate the menu into the DPS file. So if you click on the menu it should direct you to another page in the final DPS file...
Is it possible to use the native "navto://" code in the HTML file? Just like regular buttons inside of indesign do?
We're pretty stuck here... and I can't contact some HTML wizard on here, beacuse they mostly don't understand how indesign works...
    Thanks in advance!
    kevin

  • IMG Tcodes

    Hii All ,
Can we view T Codes in IMG menu path  ?? if Yes , then How ??
i have succeded in viewing Tcodes in SAP EASY ACCESS MENU.
    Thanks,
    Dhara Dave

    Hi
You can see the transaction codes in IMG.
    From menu select  Additional Information-->Additional information>Display key-->Document.
From menu select  Additional Information-->Additional information>Display key-->IMG activity
The last 4 digits will be the TCodes, you can see in both the above.
    Regards

  • IMG Screen

    Hello All,
When i use the img menu path to look up certain transactions...the  t.code that is displayed is SPRO.  But I am pretty sure that the certain transaction has an existing t.code.
For example:when I use the menu path IMG-general settings-currencies-enter exchange rate...the t.code that displays is SPRO.
However, If I were to use the t.code OC41..it brings me to the same screen.
My question is why does the t.code show as SPRO instead of OC41 when I get to the transaction using the menu path?
Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi Mahesh,
In SPRO screen you can do this following :
click tab additional Information -> Additional Information -> Display key -> IMG activity

    Some Tips -
1)Identify long-running extraction processes on the source system. Extraction processes are performed by several extraction jobs running on the source system. The run-time of these jobs affects the performance. Use transaction code SM37 — Background Processing Job Management — to analyze the run-times of these jobs. If the run-time of data collection jobs lasts for several hours, schedule these jobs to run more frequently. This way, less data is written into update tables for each run and extraction performance increases.
2)Identify high run-times for ABAP code, especially for user exits. The quality of any custom ABAP programs used in data extraction affects the extraction performance. Use transaction code SE30 — ABAP/4 Run-time Analysis — and then run the analysis for the transaction code RSA3 — Extractor Checker. The system then records the activities of the extraction program so you can review them to identify time-consuming activities. Eliminate those long-running activities or substitute them with alternative program logic.
3)Identify expensive SQL statements. If database run-time is high for extraction jobs, use transaction code ST05 — Performance Trace. On this screen, select ALEREMOTE user and then select SQL trace to record the SQL statements. Identify the time-consuming sections from the results. If the data-selection times are high on a particular SQL statement, index the DataSource tables to increase the performance of selection (see no. 6 below). While using ST05, make sure that no other extraction job is running with ALEREMOTE user.
4)Balance loads by distributing processes onto different servers if possible. If your site uses more than one BW application server, distribute the extraction processes to different servers using transaction code SM59 — Maintain RFC Destination. Load balancing is possible only if the extraction program allows the option
5)Set optimum parameters for data-packet size. Packet size affects the number of data requests to the database. Set the data-packet size to optimum values for an efficient data-extraction mechanism. To find the optimum value, start with a packet size in the range of 50,000 to 100,000 and gradually increase it. At some point, you will reach the threshold at which increasing packet size further does not provide any performance increase. To set the packet size, use transaction code SBIW — BW IMG Menu — on the source system. To set the data load parameters for flat-file uploads, use transaction code RSCUSTV6 in BW.
6)Build indexes on DataSource tables based on selection criteria. Indexing DataSource tables improves the extraction performance, because it reduces the read times of those tables.
7)Execute collection jobs in parallel. Like the Business Content extractors, generic extractors have a number of collection jobs to retrieve relevant data from DataSource tables. Scheduling these collection jobs to run in parallel reduces the total extraction time, and they can be scheduled via transaction code SM37 in the source system.
8). Break up your data selections for InfoPackages and schedule the portions to run in parallel. This parallel upload mechanism sends different portions of the data to BW at the same time, and as a result the total upload time is reduced. You can schedule InfoPackages in the Administrator Workbench.
You can upload data from a data target (InfoCube and ODS) to another data target within the BW system. While uploading, you can schedule more than one InfoPackage with different selection options in each one. For example, fiscal year or fiscal year period can be used as selection options. Avoid using parallel uploads for high volumes of data if hardware resources are constrained. Each InfoPacket uses one background process (if scheduled to run in the background) or dialog process (if scheduled to run online) of the application server, and too many processes could overwhelm a slow server.
9). Building secondary indexes on the tables for the selection fields optimizes these tables for reading, reducing extraction time. If your selection fields are not key fields on the table, primary indexes are not much of a help when accessing data. In this case it is better to create secondary indexes with selection fields on the associated table using ABAP Dictionary to improve better selection performance.
10)Analyze upload times to the PSA and identify long-running uploads. When you extract the data using PSA method, data is written into PSA tables in the BW system. If your data is on the order of tens of millions, consider partitioning these PSA tables for better performance, but pay attention to the partition sizes. Partitioning PSA tables improves data-load performance because it's faster to insert data into smaller database tables. Partitioning also provides increased performance for maintenance of PSA tables — for example, you can delete a portion of data faster. You can set the size of each partition in the PSA parameters screen, in transaction code SPRO or RSCUSTV6, so that BW creates a new partition automatically when a threshold value is reached.
11)Debug any routines in the transfer and update rules and eliminate single selects from the routines. Using single selects in custom ABAP routines for selecting data from database tables reduces performance considerably. It is better to use buffers and array operations. When you use buffers or array operations, the system reads data from the database tables and stores it in the memory for manipulation, improving performance. If you do not use buffers or array operations, the whole reading process is performed on the database with many table accesses, and performance deteriorates. Also, extensive use of library transformations in the ABAP code reduces performance; since these transformations are not compiled in advance, they are carried out during run-time.
12)Before uploading a high volume of transaction data into InfoCubes, activate the number-range buffer for dimension IDs. The number-range buffer is a parameter that identifies the number of sequential dimension IDs stored in the memory. If you increase the number range before high-volume data upload, you reduce the number of reads from the dimension tables and hence increase the upload performance. Do not forget to set the number-range values back to their original values after the upload. Use transaction code SNRO to maintain the number range buffer values for InfoCubes.
13)Drop the indexes before uploading high-volume data into InfoCubes. Regenerate them after the upload. Indexes on InfoCubes are optimized for reading data from the InfoCubes. If the indexes exist during the upload, BW reads the indexes and tries to insert the records according to the indexes, resulting in poor upload performance. You can automate the dropping and regeneration of the indexes through InfoPackage scheduling. You can drop indexes in the Manage InfoCube screen in the Administrator Workbench.
14)IDoc (intermediate document) archiving improves the extraction and loading performance and can be applied on both BW and R/3 systems. In addition to IDoc archiving, data archiving is available for InfoCubes and ODS objects.
    Hope it Helps

  • Confirmation of operation in MO

    Dear PM Guys,
During confirmation of operation through IW41 or IW42,my client wants the time
like lunch, tea, shift change also to me entered for a particular operation.
My suggestion is enter the correct time spent for work in ACTUAL WORK and enter the time taken from start to end in ACTUAL DURATION(ACTUAL WORK+TIME SPENT DUE TO LUNCH,TEA ETC).
    Eg operation-1  Actual Work=30 hours
                           Actual duration=34 hours
(4hours for lunch, tea, change of shift etc)
Is it correct or any other Good Option is there.
Moreover in the same screen(IW41or IW42),if I enter Work starts on and Work Ends on fields why the total hours between this is not automatically appearing in the Actual Duration field.
    Pl guide me.
    Regards
    ISWARI

    hi iswari
for achieving this you should set the scheduling parameters as Scheduling with breaks in IMG menu and while creating the capacity for workcenter you have to specify the breaks .then the order will be scheduled with breaks
in SAP while confirmation you have to enter the duration ,system will not calculate the duration based on the time specified .IF anyone has other options please guide us
    regards

    Hi,
You need to mention your new form name For TDS Certificate via SM30 With table name J_1IEWT_CERT_N & not thru J1incrt ( Which was the procedure before, which used to update the table J_1IEWT_CERT, which now is not being used ).

  • Same nr range in Invoice Verification (MIRO) and FI document

Dear all can you please help to solve this issue?
We would like to have the same number range for invoice verification and for financial document, what we have to do?
    Regards
    Marco

Please follow the steps as below
Step 1. Maintain FI document number range. Use transaction OMR4 and go to Number range for document types in FI. Select the company code for which you want to create the new number range interval and click on the change interval button. Insert a new document number range by clicking on the insert interval button on top of the screen.for example, I created number range interval 52 with the document numbers 5200000000 – 5299999999. Don't forget to set the external number range check box (Ext).
Step 2. Assign FI number range to FI document types. The second step is to assign the number range created in step 1 to the FI document type for invoices. Again use transaction OMR4 and go to Document type. Double-click on the document type, which you are using for LIV invoices. In my example, I used the SAP standard document type RE. In the number range field, assign the new number range interval 52
Step 3. Maintain MM document number ranges. Use transaction OMRJ and click on change interval button. Insert a new document number range by clicking on the insert button at the top of the screen. For MM documents, I created number range interval 52 with the document numbers 5200000000 – 5299999999. For the internal number range assignment, do not set the external number range check box (Ext).
Step 4. Update MM number range assignment. The last step is to assign the MM number range to your MM transaction via IMG menu path Materials Management>Logistics Invoice Verification>Incoming Invoice>Number Assignment>Maintain Number Assignments for Logistic Documents>Transaction – Assign Number ranges. Two transactions are available. LIV contains the following two internal transactions that are used for the MM document number determination:
    RD: manual invoice entry (MIRO)
RS: cancel, reverse invoice (MR8M), evaluated receipt settlement (MRRL), EDI invoice receipt, invoicing plan (MRIS), and revaluation (MRNB).
You need to update the number range interval for transaction RD.
hope now that things r clear
    reward accordingly
