  • Immediate Open after Close with PopUpButton

    We are using a number of PopUpButton controls and are seeing some strange behavior.  When we try and close the button it immediately pops up 2 times and on the 3 starts to behave as expected.   This pop up button is on a View Stack and in a nested container.   I have not been able to figure out where the source of the open is coming from immediatly after the close.  I have done a lot of searching and have found some posts around ViewStacks and the popupbutton but nothing that sounds like what we are experiencing.
    I know this is not a lot to go on, but thought I would give it a try.  Is there any tips that might be helpful in troubleshooting this issue?   Is there a way to figure out the source ("Where a event was dispatched")?   Any thoughts or troubleshooting tips would be helpful as my normal set of troubleshooting has not provided any clue to this point what might be causing this behavior.
    Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have.

    If my network connection goes out briefly due to a problem at my ISP, FireFox immediately opens a "diagnose network problems" page. This is particularly annoying when I don't even have FireFox or any other software open. Ideally, I do NOT want FireFox to even check if my Network is connected. How can I stop this?

  • Transaction open in client and closed in server ?

    Hi,
    I am new to tuxedo, so please excuse me if my question is naïve.
    I am on a project to replace the /Q system (QSpace, TMQUEUE, TMQFROWARD) by a system with storage in a database.
    We are developping in C.
    I wanted to know, if with the tpsuspend and tpresume functions, it is possible to start a transaction in the client (that replace tmqforward), make a tpcall to a service, then a tpsuspend and that the service get the transaction with a tpresume and do the tpcommit (or rollback) itself at the end of the treatment ?
    So that the client dont have to be aware of the result of the transaction and can immediatly open another one.
    Your help would be useful
    thanks

    Hi Yann,
    I'm curious as to why you want to replace the /Q subsystem with your own servers? Are there features missing in /Q that you need?
    Also Tuxedo uses checked transaction semantics. This means that transactions can't be commited by anyone other than the initiator, nor can transactions be committed while there are outstanding requests or replies. The client can suspend the current transaction and start another one if you need to have multiple transactions in process at the same time. This is often done in multi-threaded applications.

  • Maintain Folder Opened

    Hello everyone,
    I have 3 applications in 3 different IViews, corresponding to 3 pages ("Program1" to "Program3").
    All pages are inserted in a folder "Applications". This folder is then linked to a Workset.
    My problem is that, when i open the portal, the folder "Applications" appears closed. I would like to show it immediatly opened. What setup do i have to change for this to happen ?
    --Applications
    Program1
    Program2
    Program3
    Thank you in advance to all,
    Nuno

    Thank you for your reply, Roy. Your solutions helps me if the folder is the first object on the list. But imagine that i have two iviews before, like this:
    ---IntroView
    ---ApplicationA
    Folder
    ---Application1
    ---Application2
    ---Application3
    In this case, the Iview you mentioned has IntroView as the default, and doesn't open the folder. Can i swith default to "folder" from this detailedNAvigationTree specifically to this Workset, without interfering with others ?
             Thank you

    Hello,
    IF TeamID != 'ALL' THEN
    SqlWhere := SqlWhere || 'AND B.ORG_CODE IN (TeamID) ';
    END IF;
    You have put (TeamId) rather than (:TeamId).
    Looking a little close though, I'm pretty sure you're not going to be able to do what you are trying to do with the USING statement as it stands. The reason your statement works for the first call is tha it doesn't appear to populate the SQLUsing variable and so just builds the cursor and doesn't include the USING clause.
    The USING statement in effect creates a "mapping" between each placeholder variable you specify in the sql statement, and an actual variable in the PLSQL block that it is bound to i.e.
    DECLARE
        ls_Sql     VARCHAR2(200);
        ls_Bind1   VARCHAR2(10);

  • Case statement in 9i/8i

    I want to be able to run a select conditionally. I have gotten this far.

    The 'dba_registry' does not exist in 8i but does in 9i.
    When it is run in 9i the error becomes:

    Basically I want to check for existance of an object and perform some action (not to difficult in PL/SQL using execute immediate - unless the action is to select and return multiple rows) using code that will execute on both 8i & 9i databases.

    If the select from dba_registry can be put inside a 'execute immediate' , 8i will ignore it during the compile and it runs ok, BUT
    I cannot fathom how to get a 'execute immediate' to return the data into p_cursor in 9i.
    Maybe something like:
    execute immediate('open p_cursor for select rpad(substr(comp_name,1,50),50,'' '')||'' ''||rpad(status,15,'' '')||'' ''||substr(version,1,10) from dba_registry');

  • To startup database in  noarchivelog

    Hi
    All,
    I want to know how can I start database in noarchivelog mode without using
    alter database noarchivelog;
    Is there anything to set with parameter?
    Thanks,
    Vishal

    Try this:
    When database is up,
    sql> alter database backup controlfile to trace;
    sql> shutdown immediate;
    open up the trace file where the control file is created, and edit, instead of archivelog make it to noarchivelog.
    change the setting in pfile too, log_archive_Start=false
    sql> startup pfile='<destination of thepfile>'
    Check it :
    sql> archive log list
    ur database will be in no archivelog mode.

  • LiveCycle Technical Support??

    We have a very specific technical requirement and we need to know if a combination of LiveCycle Designer and Acrobat (without the extensions and LiveCycle server) will fulfill our needs before we decide to purchase licences. Find below what we are wanting to happen:
    End User
    A PDF form which has functionality that will populate set tables and charts based on the users selections from dropdowns, buttons, etc. The data needs to be embedded within the PDF but the form has to be dynamic so that the charts can change when the user selects different buttons/dropdown items.
    Publisher
    A publisher will open a form in LiveCycle that is associated with XML/Excel files. If these files had been updated prior to the form being opened in LiveCycle designer then when it is opened in Designer the new data will be imported into the form and then when published the data would be embedded in the form. The editor would then send the PDF to end-users and when they next open in Adobe Reader they would see the tables and charts based on the updated data.
    I have seen examples of graphs being created and data being imported but I am unable to see if these examples can actually work together in one coherent solution, namely the major obstacle of reading XML data that is stored in the PDF so that end-users do not need multiple files when opening and interacting with the PDF.
    I have tried contacting the UK Support number 0207 365 0735 but keep getting passed from one person to another who equally donot have the technical knowledge to be able to answer my questions, eventually after a 30 minute call getting cut-off.
    Can anyone on here answer my questions or provide me with an email address or telephone number of a support representative who might be able to answer my questions BEFORE we purchase licences.

  • PSE 8 always uses landscape as printer orientation by default?

    Windows 7x64.
    I have a number of multi-page docs created in PSE. No matter what printer I select, and despite them being in a standard portrait size/orientation, the print options ALWAYS default to landscape. I've checked the actual printer under "printers and devices", and the actual settings there are portrait.
    This is worse because I must actually use the print options dialog box to move manually through EACH PAGE of the document to be printed, and set the printer options to "portrait" on every page. If I fail to do even one page, the entire document is printed landscape, cutting of page contents.
    The preview shows each page is indeed landscape until I do this procedure, at which time it flips the page to portrait, one at a time.
    Doesn't matter what printer is used.
    Also, once printed, if I immediate open the print dialog again, same printer and everything, once again it has landscape.
    There seems to be no memory whatsoever for orientation (other settings, like resolution, are maintained during the run on PSE, but are always lost when PSE is closed). Again, in particular, orientation for every page, individually, on each print attempt, is always set to landscape, no matter that the document is not in that orientation.
    Is there even a way to specify document orientation? Is there something PSE does to attempt to determine orientation that might be wrong? Can I make PSE remember printer settings, or at least use the system defaults for the printer?

    Tried that (remember, I have PSE8, and the post you referred to is PSE11).
    Anyway, started app, used ctrl-alt-shift, held down while clicking organize. Waited for organizer to start. Then started PSE, loaded last file, clicked on print.
    Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd....
    Preview is still in landscape mode.
    So nope, no benefit. In fact, I can open the print dialog, change to portrait (and the preview does change), close it, reopen it immediate... landscape again.
    So, I figured out that in addition to PSE 8, I still also had PSE 7 installed. I'd assumed that installing 8 would upgrade, or uninstall, the prior version, but both are there. So I uninstalled 7.
    I noticed that the 7.0 settings directory, well hidden under AppData, still existed, and had several DAT and a settings file, which I moved elsewhere, with no change.
    So I did find wher 8.0 keeps its preferences:
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\8.0\Editor
    File is Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 Prefs.psp
    This is an encoded file, so it can't be directly edited. I renamed the extension so the program wouldn't find it, and fired up the editor. Predictably, a new prefs file was created, and was smaller than the original (166KB vs 176KB). So one would guess this contains default settings.
    I then tried the same print experiment. Sadly, absolutely every symptom was identical.
    So here's what I think is really happening. This has nothing to do with settings or printers. I think PSE tries to guess the orientation from the size of the page/image/whatever. I created these pages from scanned images, and they are not EXACTLY a standard size. They are clearly portrait (size is 8.25" by 10.667" - very, very close to the 8.5 x 11 standard page size, and very, very obviously portrait).
    To test the theory, I resized the first page of the 6 page document to exactly 8.5 x 11 inches. (But note: the proportions I had were identical to the proportions of 8.5 x 11). But no joy - still portrait when printing. I verified the printers themselves had system defaults for portrait, which they did.
    Now my theory was that the print orientation had been set when I created the document at not-quite-exactly 8.5x11.
