My Problem is :
I want to know the concept behind the Reverse Ajax and what are the different approach to implement this. Can I get some code examples or tutorials, which will help me lot.

There are many articles out there in the web and you can google them. But more specifically, you might want to read up on Comet. Here is a good place to get started on Comet

  • Implement and Reverse SAP Note in 4.0B

    Hi All,
How do you implement and reverse SAP Note effects in version 4.0B?
    For example, OSS Note 160970.
    Thanks.
    Tyken

Sadly it's not available until 4.5B, and only then as an add-on.
Back in the bad-old-days a note had to be applied manually by a developer, following the instructions in the note, looking at the context code around the changes and trying to type everything in without making mistakes.
And you have to check for dependencies as well.
    Good luck.

    Hi,
1)in that document they have used 10g webcache as reverse proxy... but in my case already modproxy in place can i use this modproxy in place of 10g webcache..?A number of options exist for choosing a reverse proxy -- See (Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Configuration in a DMZ [ID 380490.1]), Appendix D: Reverse Proxy Configuration
It is also explained in this article.

2)i have 2 web nodes loadbalancing through reverseproxy, do i need to configure the external web node on both the web nodes ..according to the above doc..?You do not need to have a dedicated reverse proxy for each web tier node (see the second diagram in this doc).

  • How to pull a form region in AJAX

    Carl,
I have implemented Carl's AJAX "region pull" example and works fine. This works fine as long as the region is report region. is it possible to pull a form region with items and submit button in AJAX way?. will it be possible to submit update and submit that pulled form. I just tried to do that and gave me the following error. any ideas are appreciated.
Error      Item ID (2304200109596392) is not an item defined on the current page.
    thanks,
    Surya

    Hello Surya,
I guess it depends your template. If it works for a report region and not for your forms region, you might want to have a look what the difference is in the templates for both regions.
You could give your form region the template of report region and see if that solves the problem?

  • Reverse geocoding suggestions data invisible for filename templates and plugins

    Hi,
Reverse geocoding are amazing, saves me a lot of work, but filename template I use seems don't work well with that feature.
With file naming scheme like this: "Country-City-Sequence # (001)" the result is "--001.jpg" instead of "France-Paris-001.jpg" and I have to confirm address for hundreds photos manually to see country and city information in filename.
Same situation in jf PicasaWeb plugin, when using caption scheme like this: "{Country}. {City}. {YYYY}. {Caption}." the result is ". . 2012. Example caption." instead of "France. Paris. 2012. Example caption."
It is possible for Lightroom to use address suggestions in this situations whenever address fields are empty?
Most important for me is to plugins see the address suggestions like normal (hard) data if address fields are empty.

On the face of it, Lr4's implementation of reverse geocoding is excellent, and it is when dealing with images taken at the same location. However, its handling of mixed locations is painful. In my case I use Jeffrey Friedl's plugin. It fully integrates with the Map module and allows you to reverse geocode without the limitations your currently experiencing. Very likely not what you wnated to read, but it does provided a painless solution to the problem you've identified.
Jeffrey's plugin can be downloaed from http://regex.info/blog/lightroom-goodies/gps

  • Cannot Reverse FM Document by FMBB

Normally, if I search FM document posting from FMBB, then I can click Document > Reverse, at menu bar.
Now the "Reverse" function is not activate at the menu bar.

  • Portal, BI, & SSO with Reverse Proxy

    Hello,
We recently integrated BI (7.0) into our portal environment (EP 7 SP10).  Single sign-on was working fine until we needed to allow external users into our system so we had to implement a reverse proxy.  This has caused our single sign-on to stop working.  It broke in our other systems as well, but for those we have a separate Java stack & made changes to it to get it to work.  For our BI environment, we do not have Java.  We installed the BI Java component onto the portal server so we could use BI there.  Any ideas?
    Thank you for your time,
    Erin Byrne

Well BI is your ticket generator in this scenario so you don't need to import any certificate into BI... instead it's the BI certificate you need imported into the Portal since Portal is now the ticket acceptor.
When you're in Query Designer and you attempt to publish your Query you're calling a module called BEx Broadcaster. This is used to "brodcast" your query to a web host.
Check out these links from the Security Guide for BI for more info. I think your answer is here.

  • Securing a WCCP reverse-proxy Content Engine

I have been implementing a reverse-proxy solution for a client using WCCP and a CE500 series.
Testing all went fine. Days before going live we experienced a problem :- The CE was an open proxy that were allowing parties on the internet to proxy through it - effectively destroying our Internet link.
I had to use a combination of ACLs on our routers etc... to stop the attempts and have now configured regex rules to only permit the domain and the ip addresses hosted by this reverse proxy. This seems to work somewhat, but I still see some connections in the logs to sites not protected by the CE.
Anyone got any ideas/guidelines or have any information on securely implementing a CE?

    Hi,
I'm using software version 2.51, this is the newest software supported by Cache Engine 505.
My firewall is permited any traffic between the router and the Cache.
It's very strange, because the Router discover the Cache using WCCP, at the command "show ip wccp web-cache" for example, the "redirect" packets counter is incrementing, but it doesn't working.

  • Microsoft AJAX toolkit controls in Aqualogic UserInterAction portlet?

    using .NET accelerator
    6.1 MP1 portal version
    .NET 2.0 framework
I created website project using ALUI template in VS 2005. Then I copied over the web.config settings from a AJAX control toolkit website project in VS 2005 figuring this will "map" all the settings.
Upon loading the portlet I see a javascript error : "this._form" is null or not an object.
Has anyone been able to successfully implement MS ATLAS ajax controls into their portlets?
If so please clue me in on how you did. Examples much appreciated!
    Thanks in advance.
Edited by [email protected] at 04/11/2008 7:29 PM

In my experience, ALUI doesn't play nice with the Ajax Toolkit (6.1 ALUI and portlets written in .net 2.0).
But, if you want to go ahead with it, one solution is to write your own Response Filter to append the portlet ID to the ToolkitScriptManager initialization statement (essentially doing what WC3.1 does to all the other objects, including the form you want to apply the script manager to, which creates the issue).
You can write a filter as detailed at http://aspnetresources.com/articles/HttpFilters.aspx ; that article is about filtering for xhtml compliance, but it's a good walkthrough on how to create a basic filter. To append the portlet ID, we use StringBuilder.Replace() for the appropriate string. I also recommend following the advice of comment 46 of the discussion page for that article and using the Flush() method (instead of the Write() method of the Filter, which worked in simple cases for us but not bigger pages with multiple controls).
Note that after you write your filter, you don't need to call it from an HttpModule unless you want to. We're having good luck just calling it from the page the script manager is on. In other words, in your Page_Load, just put:
Response.Filter = new PTFilter(); //or whatever you want to call it

  • Push messages from business logic into backing bean

In my simple web application a table with the contents of a database table is shown to the client. Now I want this table in the browser to be updated each time the db table is updated. In my business logic a jms message is fired to a specified topic each time the db table is updated. The reverse ajax stuff needed for the client update is provided by the Icefaces jsf implementation. There is a backing bean for each session which is responsible for the server side rerendering of the client. Now my question is: How do I connect the bussiness logic firing a jms message if the db table is updated, with the backing bean?
    My thoughts:
    1. Create a message listener for the topic. Each time the message listener receives a message it notifies the backing beans of each session to rerender the client. But how does the message listener know about the backing beans?
    2. The backing bean responsible for rerendering the client adds itself as a listener. But where? As I understand it cannot be a backing bean and a jms MessageListener at the same time.
Has anyone an idea/pattern for this problem?

You could keep a list of beans that need to be notified in the application scope. (You should probably use weak references so that they may be garbage collected.) Then you JMS listener could get access to them.
Somebody posted a thread recently where they were doing something very similar, you might want to try to find it.
