Implementing differents web services in the same composite

hi everybody,
what are the bests practises to implement differents web services in the same composite:
- creating one WSDL with differents portTypes and expose one web service for each portype
- creating differents WSDL for each web services
Thanks,

Hi
I would prefer different WebServices for each set of Operations. Please note that you can have multiple operations with different input and output xsd parametes. So its like One WebService -> One Port -> Multiple Operations. Only draw back is, you have to deploy all these webservices as multiple WAR files. Or one big EAR that has all these WAR Files.
I tried once One WebService -> 2 Ports -> Each Port with its own set of operations. I ran into problem when I tried to generate client for this webservice. The JAXB generated classes was odd and this did not work.
There may be some other option also. Hopefully someone can share their thoughts.
Thanks

  • How do we deploy several Web Services under the same Root Context?

    We have several webservices, each in their own WAR file, running on OC4J 10.1.3. They each have their own Root Context and Oracle Welcome Servlet. This works well, and since they are all separate we can easily hot-deploy updated versions.
    The drawback is separate URL's like :
    .../RootContext1/WebService1
    .../RootContext2/WebService2
    .../RootContext3/WebService3
    How do we assemble our Web Services to share a single Root Context? We are hoping to achieve URL's like this :
    .../WebServices/WebService1
    .../WebServices/WebService2
    .../WebServices/WebService3
    Do we have to bundle them all into the same WAR/EAR (and loose the power of individual deployment) or is there another way?
    Thanks in advance!

    If each one is a separate WAR file, then at the OC4J level each one will need a separate root context as it gets bound into the default-web-app.
    I guess the corollary question here is if there is someway to combine multiple webservice endpoints into one WAR file -- which can then be mapped to a single root context.
    I'll try and get someone more WS savvy than myself to take a look at this for you.
    And Clever Apache is a viable option.
    cheers

  • Can't run wiki and web services at the same time?

    I'm a newbie with Lion Server, but I've been running several web sites successfully for about 6 months.  I'm up to Server 10.7.4.
    I've been trying ever since the first installation of Server to get the wiki service running.  I had absolutely no luck until I turned OFF the web service (always got the "URL does not exist" error when I tried to create a group wiki from inside the Server app).  With the web service off, it all starts up fine and I created my first wiki (woohoo).  Turning web service back on kills access to the wiki.  I don't find reference to this in any of the dicussions, and especially not in Apple's documentation.
    Are the Wiki and Web services mutually exclusive?  Or is there a way around this?
    I'm using Dyndns to provide me with sub-domains to use, and I've dedicated one of them to the wiki service.  Traffic comes in on port 8080, where my web sites are on port 80.
    Thanks for any pointers...

    LR supports tethering using a Canon DLL and EOS Utility probably also supports tethering or at least uses something from a similar Canon DLL.  You probably cannot have two different versions of that DLL loaded at the same time, so it makes sense there are problems.

  • Combine multiple web services with the same SQL query into one

    Hello,
    I would like to ask a question regarding combine multiple similar web services into one. Can you please tell me if it is possible to combine 4-5 web services into one since they built on the same SQL query with 5 different criterias or condition so that the user can enter any of the 5 criterias to populate the data on the form instead of having 5 different web services?
    e.g Query: Select appName, permit#, address, phone, description, type, section, from table where appName = can be 'appName, permit#, address, phone, or description' to populate the rest of the data to the form.
    Does any one have ever done some thing like this in Workbench ES? If so please assist. I know it can be easier to build it in Visual Basic, C#, or dot.net but the requirement is to build it in workbench ES.
    Thanks in advance,
    Han Dao

    If you are querying for Name, PhoneNumber, and SSN, and you queried for all people with a phone number that started with 867, you would have a potentially long list of people.  So to keep track of all of the people, we store each record in XML complex elements.  The root node is just any name you want, and the repeating element is the complex element name.
    So using the example from above, I'm going to specify the following:
         Root Node: Result
         Repeating Element: Person
    So now when I do a query, my resultXML will look like:
    <Result>
          <Person>
                 <Name>Alex</Name>
                 <PhoneNumber>867-5309</PhoneNumber>
                 <SSN>111-11-1111</SSN>
          </Person>
    </Result>
    If your query returned multiple results (like ours would probably), it would look like:
    <Result>
          <Person>
                 <Name>Alex</Name>
                 <PhoneNumber>867-5309</PhoneNumber>
                 <SSN>111-11-1111</SSN>
          </Person>
          <Person>
                 <Name>Han</Name>
                 <PhoneNumber>867-2169</PhoneNumber>
                 <SSN>222-22-2222</SSN>
          </Person>
    </Result>
    So Result and Person is just to give a little bit of structure to the xml result (containers really).  So you can name them whatever is helpful for you.
    The column name mappings map the query columns (Name, PhoneNumber, SSN) to some node in the XML (Name, PhoneNumber, SSN).  So you don't need to specify which field maps to what in the form.  Just copy the column names to the element name so you have a 1-to-1 naming.  If you want to manipulate the XML a bit though, you could do:
    Column Name               Element
    Name                            YourName
    PhoneNumber                Phone
    SSN                              Secret
    which would then make your xml look like:
    <Result>
          <Person>
                 <YourName>Alex</YourName>
                 <Phone>867-5309</Phone>
                 <Secret>111-11-1111</Secret>
          </Person>
    </Result>
    It lets you change the XML element names to whatever you want. Otherwise by default they take on their column names.
    In your form, you could bind to the WSDL through the Data Connections pane and point it to your web service.  This will then create form elements that you can just drag and drop allowing you to have the information available when the service gets ran.  Once the service is called, you can modify the field's data to get whatever information you need in order to populate other form fields.
    If that is too confusing, feel free to send me your form (e-mail is on profile page) and I'll add comments to it to show you how to set up the form for the web service call (and also give me the link to your webservice)

  • Should ADF tables created for Toplink or Web Services behave the same?

    In JDev 11g TP3, When you drag the collection data control onto a JSF, should the read only tables created from either Toplink objects or Web Service Data Controls look and behave the same? I am not able to get tables created with Web Service Data Controls to work the same as those shown in tutorials or examples.
    Thanks,
    Al

    Not so sure, 11G does seem to generate all of the controls for the response elements, even those that have nested complex types such as the one enclosed. Used the 11G TP3 Web Service Data Control wizard and all of the nested controls showed up. BUT, when dropped onto a JSF, they do not work the same as the tutorials and examples. So, I'm either doing something wrong or the controls are not working properly.
    Should I not use the 11G WSDC and just follow your example in complex return types? Or are there other steps or settings in the 11G WSDC that I need to discover (they're not documented) in order to make ADF tables work with the 11G WSDC? If so, can you help?

  • Business Rules- Two Decision Services (.decs) on the same composite

    Hello.
    I have a composite where i designed a rules dictionary (.rules) and created a decision services metadata(.decs). This decision service declares the corresponding decision function for which it was created a .WSDL for invocation via web service. The decision function receives an object called 'document' with name space '..../document'.
    I can invoke the decision service via soapUI and receive the expected results.
    Then I created another rules dictionary (.rules) and other decision services metadata(.decs). This decision service declares another decision function for which it was created another .WSDL for invocation via web service. The decision function receives an object called 'notificationDecisionFact' with name space '..../notificationDecision'. The notification decision is an xml element composed of other types like 'document', 'workTask', among others.
    When i tested the first decision service again (the one previosly working) i obtain an error saying something like:
    unexpected element <{.../document} document>. The expected elements were <{.../workTask} workTask>,<{.../workTaskRequest} workTaskRequest>
    But when i came to jdeveloper and disable the option 'invoke as a webservice' on the second decision function (eliminating the corresponding WSDL) the first decision service comes back to normal functioning.
    I don't have any ideia why the service/work memory/BR engine is expecting that elements when i have two WSDL from different rules dictionary. The xml facts for both dictonary were constructed from the same set os XSD, but the WSDL seems to appear correct with the properly element types and namespaces.
    Is there any issues regarding with two cecision services (.decs) on the same composite?
    Any help would be very appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!
    Best Regards.

  • Cannot Test this Web Service using the Test Page

    Hello,
    I'm using
    - JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0
    - SOA Suite 11.1.1.3.0
    - Weblogic Server 10.3.3
    - Windows XP SP3 (german version)
    Now I'm having a BPEL-Process (SOA) Project created in JDeveloper and deployment to the server works fine, i.e. the service can be seen in enterprise manager.
    But if I want to test the service using the webservice tester it get the following error if I copy the URL for getting the WSDL file to another browser tab:
    Cannot Test this Web Service using the Test Page
    Endpoint Name : FabricProvider (Service Description)
    You can test the Web Service using a Java client.
    Failed to Load a composite for composite identified by default/ReisebuchungService!1.0*soa_6aebb5fb-7830-497b-b853-839518d112f0
    Please verify that the composite has been deployed.
    Can you help me with this issue? I have no idea where to start debugging or resolving the problem.
    Thanks in advance

    Heya
    others and I face the same issue, reported here:
    TP4: Cannot Test this Web Service ...
    Oracle is not too responsive on the issue though.... :(
    Cheers Christian.

  • Invoking a web service with the WSDL URL given at run time

    I have created a very Simple Web Service using Netbeans 6.0 as an EJB Module. I have successfully created clients to access the web service, both through a Composite Application and through a simple Java Desktop Application, using the create "New Web Service Client" option, either by pointing to the EJB project either by providing the WSDL URL.
    What I want now, is for the Java Desktop application to be able to consume the service after it has discovered the WSDL URL at runtime (e.g. through UDDI).
    From what I have been able to find on the web, I should use the javax.xml.ws.Service class. But when I attempt to use the getPort method I get the exception:
    "com.sun.xml.ws.model.RuntimeModelerException: runtime modeler error: Wrapper class mypackagename.jaxws.MyWebServiceName is not found. Have you run APT to generate them?"
    Since I know that this class is not needed for the Web Service to be accessed, when the two procedures I describe above are used, I wonder what I can do to get this to work.
    I have tried using apt from the command line but it can't find Java EE classes, so it doesn't work.

    Hi Yarecki,
    I'm afraid I'm also a newbie, and I'm feeling my way around things.
    I have written some code. However, you should be warned that... it doesn't work!
            String wsdlLocation;//=...some URL...
            String input;//=...XML...either SOAP message either SOAP payload

                java.lang.String serviceName = "CalculationServiceService";
                java.lang.String portName = "CalculationServicePort";
                String namespace = "http://localhost:8080/CalculationServiceService";
                javax.xml.transform.Source inputSource = new javax.xml.transform.stream.StreamSource(new java.io.StringReader(input));
                javax.xml.namespace.QName serviceQName = new javax.xml.namespace.QName(namespace, serviceName);
                javax.xml.namespace.QName portQName = new javax.xml.namespace.QName(namespace, portName);

  • BizTalk to Web Service - Error - The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.

    Hi Everyone,
    I am connecting to an external web service from my biztalk application through a dynamic send port.
    When my biztalk application is trying to send the request message to the web service through the send port, I am getting the following error :
    The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.
    The external web service team have provided a certificate and a private key to install in my server.
    I have installed the certificate by double click the .pfx file using the private key and have added the certificate in the host ProcessHostx64.
    Still i am getting the same error.
    Can someone help on this issue ?
    Many Thanks,
    Anand
    S B A

    The Private Key should be installed under the user running the BizTalk Server Host. Please confirm that you have done this?
    If so, try to make this work in a small .NET test Application before porting it to BizTalk, so that you can confirm that you do have sufficient credentials to call the Service.

  • Mdt 2012 + WDS service on the same server. DHCP question

    Hi,
    I am using MDT 2012 on Server 2008.
    Boot images are placed on 6 years old WDS server running on 2003.
    I need to remove WDS server (2003).
    Cannot find exact instructions for enabling PXE for MDT2012.
    I don't need introduction guides. But clear few lines of instructions.
    From quickly checking web I understand that I need:
    1. install WDS services on the same MDT2012 server 2008.
    2. import Lite Touch boot images from Deployment Share
    The only point I am missing is DHCP question. In Microsoft prerequisites for WDS services, DHCP should be present on the same server were WDS is...
    I watched one video on web and the guy just installs WDS on the MDT server and not mentioning DHCP at all.
    Sure that there is DHCP server serving multiple subnets on the network.
    My confusion about DHCP on WDS prerequisite comes from not having DHCP services installed on old WDS 2003 machine.
    So why it is required on WDS service in server 2008/2012?
    Can somebody confirm that DCHP must exist on the same server were MDT and WDS services are enabled.
    And is it a valid option to have all 3 on one Server machine if DHCP is really needed for enabling PXE in MDT environment?
    I saw the info about ports 67 (should be disabled) and 60 for PXE enabled.
    Will appreciate DHCP part explanation and how to...
    Thanks.
    &quot;When you hit a wrong note it's the next note that makes it good or bad&quot;. Miles Davis

    RL69,
    in my environment DHCP serves multiple subnets. For now no need to serve client machines on different subnets. The Deployments will be done on subnet were MDT resides. If necessary PXE relay could be enabled on Core switch (or where necessary).
    So if I understand correctly for a scenario above all what I need to do for PXE enabled MDT is:
    to add WDS role/service on the same MDT server and import boot images.
    Right?
    Will do it right after your confirmation :)

  • Running Multiple Web Dispatchers On The Same Server

    Is it possible to run multiple instances of Web Dispatcher on the same server?  I want to have one instance pointing to my WAS 6.40 system and the other instance pointing to my BW system.  I have set up two services on the NT server:  One named the standard sapwebdisp.exe and the other named sapwebdispbw.exe.  I am using two separate profile files, one for each instance.  The services start O.K.  However, when I attempt to access my BW system using the HTTP port as defined in the BW profile and the Web Dispatcher profile, I get a message back saying that "The server you are attempting to access has refused the connection with the gateway. This usually results from trying to connect to a service that is inactive on the server."  I have double checked that the service is running and that the BW system is up and available.
    Any help is appreciated.

  • MDM web services and the MDM BP services

    Hi *,
    I need to know what is the difference between the standard MDM web services and the MDM BP services.  How do I decide which set to use?
    - Kris

    Sorry but what are BP services? Do you mean Business package?
    If yes the approaches are completely different - you use Web Services when you have to customise the application and build your logic/functionality into the app. CRUD operations are procided by Web Services - you need to form your wrapper application from scratch and develop!
    With BP - it involves least development effort bearing in mind that its all standard content and not yet completely customizable. So based on your requirements plan whether to go for Business Package or Web Services or Java API completely...

  • Wlst command listWebServices() does not show all web services in the domain

    Hi, I am trying to use wlst command listWebServices() to display all web services of a domain. It seems that it only displays the web services of enterprice applications (ear apps), but it does not show the web services of web applications (war apps). If I pass ear appliication name and one of its web module to listWebServices, it will show the web services that belong to the web module of this application. However if I pass war application name and its web module name to listWebServices, it will return "Unable to find the SOA Composite or Service. Oracle UCM Native Web Services", although I can see from wls admin console or em that this web application does have a couple of web services.
    I also tried to call listWebServicePolicies, again it returned "Unable to find any Web Services with the specified Application".
    My purpose of doing above is to use wlst to detach/attach web service policies for some web services. Since I cannot find the web services, I off course cannot detach/attach policies.
    Does anyone have any clue how to find web services using wlst command that belong to a war application, and then detach/attach policies ? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jian Huang
    From Oracle fusion HCM

    As of UCM version 11.1.1.6, Oracle UCM Web Services are managed from Enterprise Manager in Fusion Middleware Control, not Weblogic Admin Console!
    A document at Oracle support explains this in more detail: https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/ui/km/DocumentDisplay.jspx?id=1456506.1 :
    Setting up GenericSoapService in WLS to use WS-Security:
    Go to FMW Enterprise Manager. http://wlshost:7001/em
    In the tree, navigate to Weblogic Domain -> <Domain Name> -> and click on UCM_server1. (If the managed server for WCC is named something other than UCM_server1, click on that name.)
    From the UCM_server1 drop down menu, select "Web Services".
    On the "Oracle Infrastructure Web Services" tab, click the GenericSoapPort link.
    Once there you can set the policies you want and restart the server!

    I want to use SAP Portal for generating Portal web services on a base of some external procedures.
