Implications of using PGR in Vl32N

Hi,
Can any one tell me the implication of using PGR in VL32N please?
My understanding was that it was same as GR in MIGO.
But, somehow in my system , nothing happens when PGR is done.
There are no errors and status is updated to GR processig completed at item level.
Thanks
AH

Thanks vikrama,
Please again go thru my question. I was asking if PGR was supposed to be the same as GR in MIGO?
Iam assuming you have this EDI set up in your company. So, how do you do statistical gr's for asn's you received?
do you run a batch job to look at all the inbound delv's posted and do a GR for them or do a collective run of PGR;s in Logistic execution for that date to process goods receipt.
Either way, what i need is is the PGR in VL32N creating a material document similar to GR posing in MIGO.
If so is ther any setting for that, because i do it and its doing nothing..
Thanks

    What are the implications of using jquery version 1.10.2 rather than the version (1.7.1) that Adobe uses? Thanks
    Bob

    I am having trouble when my Edge Animate composition (banner ad) appears on a web page that uses jquery version 1.8.23. Some of the functionality of the host page no longer works. This occurs only when my composition is present & the functionality returns when another ad is displayed (either a Flash ad or a gif). It happens in Chrome Version 31.0.1650.63 m, Chrome Version 33.0.1738.0 canary & IE 11.
    I had edited my Edge Animate files to use the Adobe CDN option & to point to another server (mine) so only the html file was needed to be placed in the ad rotator & on the host's server. I now have edited them again to include the Google CDN locations for version jquery 1.10.2 (http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.10.2/jquery.min.js). I am waiting for the host site to try this updated html file. When I visit just this new page & the old one that pointed to 1.7.1 for that matter, it works fine.
    Thank you for taking the time to read and answer my message.

    May I sell websites created with the help of DreamweaverCS5.5's HTMLs to my clients?
    Yes, if you don't have an Educational version of the software i.e. you've paid for a retail version.
    Provided that the graphics and content are mine, what are the legal implications or boundaries of using DreamweaverCS5.5's HTMLs to sell my websites based on Dreamweaver HTMLS?
    Nil.
    Build a website with DW CS5.5, get paid, pocket the profit.
    The language of the EULA for Dreamweaver CS5.5  is vague and allows too many interpretations.
    The EULA exists more to protect Adobe's IP in the software code and to protect them from claims from you due to your (mis)use of the software than it does to spell out permission for what you can do with the software. There'll always be room for interpretation.
    Once you've paid for the software (or more specifically, a license to use the software), how you use it is up to you. There is no profit sharing clause in the EULA.
    So you won't find Adobe specifically saying, go ahead and make a profit with our software with our blessing.
    The EULA does not explicitly preclude you from using the software for commercial gain (unless you use the Educational version). So, feel free to do so.

  • Implications of Using a Rule to Populate Periodic Data in a YTD app

    Is it bad practice to specify and populate an intersection with periodic data using rules when the application is set up as YTD?
    For example:
    Entity A has a $50 intercompany expense with Entity B. Entity B is reporting a $48 intercompany income with Entity A. We have a rule set up to populate a statistical "counterparty" account to show what the ICP is reporting. This way we can create custom SV and Financial Reports and also allow users to view info from entities (ICPs) in which they might not have access.
    So the YTD line items are...
    Entity A, ICP B shows interco_exp $50 and counterparty_interco_inc $48
    Entity B, ICP A shows interco_inc $48 and counterparty_interco_exp $50
    The question on Periodic vs YTD comes in when one entity is a different functional currency than the icp. Writing the rule is much easier using periodic data for P&L accounts (using the period fx rate to back into the functional currency of the entity).
    Thoughts/suggestions?
    Thanks.

    This would be done in InfoPath.

  • Licensing implications of using WebCenter features

    Hi,
    I'm currently investigating the WebCenter features available in JDeveloper 11.1.1.2.0. Right now my organisation is intending to use JDeveloper/ADF to create a set of portlets, and a dashboard application to consume those portlets.
    If we use JDeveloper to build a WSRP 2 portlet, then create a second application which uses a WSRP connection and the adfp tag library to embed that portlet into a JSF page, do we need to get any additional licences to run these two applications? We're deploying to WebLogic 10.3 which gives us an ADF license - does this also give us the right to create an application using WebCenter features without an additional license cost?
    We're not currently intending to use the main WebCenter features (CMS stuff, Page customization stuff, etc) - do we even need WebCenter in order to create and consume WSRP portlets using JDeveloper & ADF?
    Many thanks,
    Joe

    I agree that to many developers (including our team) the portlet bridge and WSRP consumer features are most interesting, but WebCenter has a huge set of features and I think it's a bit silly that using such a small part of that with ADF will incur this frankly massive license cost. Both MyFaces and ICEFaces offer this kind of functionality (admittedly their solutions may not be as complete right now), so this is a big barrier to creating reusable, modular content and a big downside of choosing ADF IMO.
    Simon, checking the Pluto website it looks like v2.0 can be embedded too:
    http://portals.apache.org/pluto/v20/embedding.html
    is there some other info you've seen to suggest that it can't?
    I'm hoping either the MyFaces bridge, or https://jsfportletbridge.dev.java.net/ combined with Pluto will give me the required functionality. Whether ADF will play nice with this solution remains to be seen.

  • Implications of using a while loop for a wait.

    Hi,
    I need to make a thread wait until a condition is met before it can continue. I am currently using:
    while(locked){
          //Wait
    }What would be a better way of doing this as i need to keep the CPU usage as low as possible.
    Thanks for any help.

    Yes, thanks for the link. I am reading it now.
    Its not too easy becasue i am not writing pure java classes.... (Hard to explain) I dont have access to all threads.
    While im reading this could you re-asure me that im thinking about this in the right way (or not).
    I have one thread that executes some stuff then sets a global variable to true (locked = true). This thread then needs to wait until the global variable is set back to false (by another thread).
    Another thread does some processing and then sets the global variable to false (locked = false) meaning that the original thread can carry on.
    At the moment i am using the above while loop to wait but im sure there is a better way of doing this.
    Thanks

  • What are the Implications of using the wrong incoming/outgoing email server?

    Hi, so I have an email account I used through my company. I thought that the email incoming/outcoming would just be company name. It turns out that this was wrong, slightly. I received an email with sensitive information (which I deleted soon after) so is it possible that third parties could read this information? I have since connected to the right server.

    Good question.
    These ports are kind of a gateways in which email (data) pass through. Some ISPs' block common ports like 25, 2525.
    Try " dangers/risk of email ports " in Google for more information.

  • Any implication of using fn-bea:async

    Hello,
    I read what I could find about fn-bea:asynch, but I am left with some questions about its specifics. We have a function that performs a relatively slow database stored procedure. The logical service is called as a web service, and it invokes the stored procedure using fn-bea:asynch, presumably so that the web service can return while the stored procedure is still running.
    declare function tns:LDRuleCalc($customerId as xs:string, $startDate as xs:dateTime, $endDate as xs:dateTime) {
         let $x:= fn-bea:async(ld_1:LD_RULE_CALC($customerId, $startDate, $endDate))
         return -1
    My question is whether this works the way we are expecting. That is, will it make the call and leave that running, allowing the function to return? If so, what happens to the database transaction context? Will that be handled correctly by ODSI so that the connection remains until the database call completes, and then be returned to the connection pool?
    The reason I ask is that we are seeing some weirdness in our connection pool since we put this code into production. Intermittently, a function will be unable to obtain a db connection, or it gets one but only after a 20 or 30 second wait.
    Thank you for any info!
    Jeff

    Hi Jeff, good to hear from you again.
    When exposed as a ws, the whole xquery is executed before the call returns. There is no benefit of using async in hope of leaving something running beyond the life of the query.
    For xqse exposed as a ws, the net result is the same, but for a slightly different reason. Although the result of an xqse could be possibly computed without waiting for the sp to complete, all the threads need to complete (or be killed) before the query can return.
    I suppose that if there was a timeout, followed by an attempt to kill the thread that does not succeed in killing the thread. That could leave the thread running the stored procedure after the call returned (but there would be an exception for the timeout unless it was caught). Unless specified otherwise, I think the timeout for a call is 30 seconds.
    Without exposing as a ws and using the java api with hasNext()/next(), the initial call only begins execution of a query, results are not computed (i.e. underlying calls are not made) until the results are "pulled" back to the client. And there is nothing that forces the client to read all the results or disconnect - so the client could simply abandon the call and leaving the executing query in limbo - complete with any resources (db connections) it is holding. At some point the session ejb for the query will be "idled" (serialized) and all the db connections should be eventually released.
    I'm not sure what could be going on with your connection pool. Unless exceptions are being caught with fail-over, it's usually clear when things go bad.

  • Cannot Post Goods Receipt in VL32N

    Hi All,
    I reversed a good receipt using movement type 102. Now we need to post the correct goods receipt but I can't able to create new inbound TO and confirm TO because the previous TO still exist (cannot delete since it is already confirmed). I cannot also delete the inbound delivery to create new TO because it came from an idoc and we do not delete them.
    When trying to post PGR in VL32N the error message is : delivery has not yet been completely processed by WM.
    Please advise how to resolve the issue without touching the tables.
    Thank you!!!

    Hi Tej,
    The problem is our system is not configured for manual entry of picked qty. They were all grayed out. I tried creating new TO in LT0J (though old TO is still existing) and it allowed me to create one but i am having trouble in confirming TO so that new GR will be posted. Error i am encountering is "You can only post goods receive for the whole HU". I've check the material quantity in inbound delivery and they are the same with the material quantity in TO i created in LT0J

  • Using HttpServletRequest object to share variables between static methods.

    Does anyone know of the overhead/performance implications of using the HttpServletRequest object to share variables between a static method and the calling code?
    First, let me explain why I am doing it.
    I have some pagination code that I would like to share across multiple servlets. So I pulled the pagination code out, and created a static method that these servlets could all use for their pagination.
    public class Pagination {
         public static void setPagination (HttpServletRequest request, Config conf, int totalRows) {
              int page = 0;
              if (request.getParameter("page") != null) {
                   page = new Integer(request.getParameter("page")).intValue();
              int articlesPerPage = conf.getArticlesPerPage();
              int pageBoundary = conf.getPageBoundary();
                int numOfPages = totalRows / articlesPerPage;
                // Checks if the page variable is empty (not set)
                if (page == 0 || (page > numOfPages && (totalRows % articlesPerPage) == 0 && page < numOfPages + 1)) {
                 page = 1;  // If it is empty, we're on page 1
              // Ex: (2 * 25) - 25 = 25 <- data starts at 25
             int startRow = page * articlesPerPage - (articlesPerPage);
             int endRow = startRow + (articlesPerPage);
             // Set array of page numbers.
             int minDisplayPage = page - pageBoundary;
             if (minDisplayPage < 1) {
                  minDisplayPage = 1;
             int maxDisplayPage = page + pageBoundary;
             if (maxDisplayPage > numOfPages) {
                  maxDisplayPage = numOfPages;
             int arraySize = (maxDisplayPage - minDisplayPage) + 1;
             // Check if there is a remainder page (partially filled page).
             if ((totalRows % articlesPerPage) != 0) arraySize++;
             // Set array to correct size.
             int[] pages = new int[arraySize];
             // Fill the array.
             for (int i = 1; i <= pages.length; i++) {
                  pages[i - 1] = i;
             // Set pageNext and pagePrev variables.
             if (page != 1) {
                  int pagePrev = page - 1;
                  request.setAttribute("pagePrev", pagePrev);
             if ((totalRows - (articlesPerPage * page)) > 0) {
                 int pageNext = page + 1;
                 request.setAttribute("pageNext", pageNext);
             // These will be used by calling code for SQL query.
             request.setAttribute("startRow", startRow);
             request.setAttribute("endRow", endRow);
             // These will be used in JSP page.
             request.setAttribute("totalRows", totalRows);
             request.setAttribute("numOfPages", numOfPages);
             request.setAttribute("page", page);
             request.setAttribute("pages", pages);
    }I need two parameters from this method (startrow and endrow) so I can perform my SQL queries. Since this is a multithreaded app, I do not want to use class variables that I will later retrieve through methods.
    So my solution was to just set the two parameters in the request and grab them later with the calling code like this:
    // Set pagination
    Pagination.setPagination(request, conf, tl.getTotalRows());
    // Grab variables set into request by static method
    int startRow = new Integer(request.getAttribute("startRow").toString());
    int endRow = new Integer(request.getAttribute("endRow").toString());
    // Use startRow and endRow for SQL query below...Does anyone see any problem with this from a resource/performance standpoint? Any idea on what the overhead is in using the HttpServletRequest object like this to pass variables around?
    Thanks for any thoughts.

    You could either
    - create instance vars in both controllers and set them accordingly to point to the same object (from the App Delegate) OR
    - create an instance variable on the App Delegate and access it from within the view controllers
    Hope this helps!

  • How to use CRAXDDRT.DLL in crystal report 2008?

    Hello All,
    We have purchased Crystal report 2008 Full software.
    We need to insert BLOB field into Crystal report 2008 at runtime using *CRAXDDRT.DLL*.
    How can I insert OLE object and bind it at Runtime using crystal report 2008?
    Is it possible to insert Ole Object runtime using crystal report 2008? If yes how and if not is there alternative to perform this job.
    Please let me know your feedback.
    Thanks

    CrxDDrt.dll is only provided in order for the Crystal Reports designer in the .NET IDE.
    1) You are not licensed to use this CraxDDrt.dll
    2) Even if you were, in previous versions of CR, there were licensing implications to using the craxDDrt.dll (read $$)
    3) Once your project would be done, using CR 2008, you would not be able to distribute the runtime as there is no CR MSM or MSI that contains the craxDDrt.dll and it's supporting runtime.
    In your original post you say:
    "I need to show Word and Pdf file in to Crystal report 2008 using CRAXDDRT.DLL";
    I do not understand why you'd need to do this using the craxddrt.dll? You should be able to insert a BLOB field using the RAS SDK for .NET and CR 2008. Now, one hting you will have to keep in mind. If you insert a multipage .doc or .pdf file into the report, you will only get the first page of that document. I suggest you try this in the CR designer first. Always remember that if you can not do a certain thing in the designer, you will not be able to do it at runtime either. Giving all the limitations above, if you are still interested in doing this using RAS, let me know and I'll set you up with some resources to get you going.

  • MDM 7.1 Transport Management using CTS+

    CE: 7.2
    MDM: 7.1
    PI: 7.1 EHP1
    ERP: 6 EHP4
    Hi,
    For central master data management, we are building a solution based on the components mentioned above. Our current landscape for ERP has 10 systems due to the requirements of the project. This includes SBX -> DEV -> QAS -> INT -> UAT -> PRE-PROD for project. Then we have SBX -> DEV -> QAS -> PROD for business as usual. The idea is that we the first phase goes live, BaU will be used to support the live environment while project environments can continue to be used for new functionality development in various phases over several years.
    We plan to use CTS+ to manage the transports in the landscape. However, the question is whether we need 10 MDM system to match ERP, or could we use less systems without impacting the overall quality and effort of delivery?
    Also keep in view that CE will be used to run the custom BPM workflows. Moreover, we'll deploy MDM web services on CE server to be consumed by Web Dynpro JAVA UI components. All in all, the overall solution will span several development components across ERP (custom enterprise services), PI (custom integration content), CE (custom WD JAVA UI, MDM web services, workflow), and MDM (tables, fields, relationships, roles, XML schemas, etc).
    Given that MDM repositories are self-contained, and we can create more than one repositories on QAS e.g. for INT and UAT, I am trying to identify any potential pitfalls/technical implications of using less MDM environments for more ERP systems.
    Lets say we had 3 repos on QAS MDM server: REP_Q, REP_I, and REP_U. If we wanted to test certain functionality in REP_I, we could transport it from REP_Q to REP_I hosted in the same MDM system. Similarly, these changes could be propagated to REP_U environment for further testing.
    So the user can initiate a process on CE server which could call web services to create data in REP_I. Once successful, changes can be transported to REP_U and the user can use CE to call web services for REP_U for data management.
    Do you have a similar landscape? Have you tried using less MDM systems to host multiple repositories without overcomplicating change management? Thoughts???
    Thanks for your time.
    Regards,
    Shehryar

    Hello Shehryar Khan
    We are using 3 level environment  DEV-QA-PROD.The same situation with ERP for ABAP development.
    DEV and QA working on different physical servers but in the same LDAP.
    PROD - has own physical server and own LDAP.
    For migrated data tests we duplicate repository from PROD to DEV and named it - MIGRATED.
    Business logic we are realize on DEV. If business logic and migrated data tests(on MIGRATED repo) have been finished succesfully We migrate data from MIGRATED repo to DEV and doing complex tests(business logic + new data).
    The same steps we are doing on QA and then on PROD.

  • Use of storage bucket profile in APO DP

    I'm trying to clarify the sizing implications of using various buckets in the APO DP storage buckets profile.
    Suppose I have a storage bucket profile 1 consisting of calendar weeks and days, and a profile 2 consisting of weeks only.
    What will be the relative database/memory sizing resulting from these 2 profiles?
    Thanks for any advice...

    Hi,
    As our other friends have mentioned here, just having a storage bucket profile doesnt consume memory, however let us assume you have generated time series objects based on these storage bucket profile, the following example will highlight the memory usage.
    Horizon used -> 2 years.
    No. of Weekly bucket --> 104 or 105
    No. of daily bucket --> 365
    Now if you generate Time Series out of your SBP which contains both daily and weekly, total memory occupied will be 365 +104 = 469 times your number of CVCs
    If you generate time series out of your SBP which contains just weeks, total memory occupied will be 104 times your number of CVCs..
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks
