Import my own compilations

Hello,
I want to import my own compilations and
organize this compilations but itunes organize
the music in the library on the basis of the
artist name.
Is it possible to organize the compilations
in this way:
Library
-Artist1 (default)
--album1
---Song1
---Song2
-Compilation1
--Song1
--Song2
-Compilation2
--Song1
--Song2

Edgar

Turn on the compilation option in iTunes to get compilation to show together. For each compilation the album name has to be the same for all tracks in compilation. Select all tracks in compilation, right click to get info, set compilation setting to on.
The file structure will be iTunes music > compilations > albums. Within each album folder will be the tracks. In browser view of iTunes, the albums will be listed under compilations.

  • Import my own package??!!!

    hello guys,
    I'm having a litle difficulties importing my own package.
    here is my example:
    I have a folder on C:\Users\User\Desktop\test2 in wich u can find a file called "hello.java" and another folder called "hi" which contains a file "hello2.java"
    in the file hello.java i want to create an instance of "hello2" so it is clear that i have to import from hello.java the package containing hello.class
    SO WHAT I DID IS THE FOLLOWING:
    first in enviroment variable i added to my CLASSPATH the path C:\Users\User\Desktop and in the file " hello.java" i wrote at the top:Import test2.hi.hello2
    it is still not working.
    i read somewhere that my package should have the following form: fr.inria.itey which i did not understand.
    can u plz give from my example what is my package name? and finally how to solve the issue
    thank you in advance for your help

    Hi ralfph.
    I suggest using an IDE such as eclipse. It has an auto complete utility that allows autogeneration of import code which is guaranteed to be correct.
    Based on your post, I'm not sure if it is a typo but you mentioned you wrote at the top "Import test2.hi.hello2".
    I would like to know if you got a compile error as "Import" should be typed as import with a small i.

  • HELP: Import my own class in JSP ???

    Hi, all!
    I read many previous topics in this forum but no one works for me!
    Please someone help me!
    I'm using Tomcat 4.1.12 and my JSP scripts work just fine, but I need to import my own .class file. I just don't know where to put it so Tomcat can find it!?
    I have this environment variable:
    JAVA_HOME=.;c:\jdk1.3.1
    And in my code I'want to place something like this:
    <%@ page import="myClass" %>
    But I get a "can not resolve symbol" exception.
    Thanks for readind this, and please help if you can!
    Bye.
    adriano

    Within the Tomcat directory, under your application directory place the class file/s into the WEB-INF/classes directory. If your classes are part of a package place the entire directory structure of the package under the WEB-INF/classes directory.
    The import in the JSP is the same as for any Java class.
    Hope this solves your problem.

  • When my husband set up my iPad, he imported my daughter's phone contacts.  Is there a way to delete her contacts and import my own?

    When my husband set up my iPad, he imported my daughter's phone contacts.  Is there a way to delete her contacts and import my own?

    The iPad must always be synced to one computer using the Apple ID that it was originally synced to. Otherwise all apps & files will be deleted. There's no way to retrieve once erased.
    Is there a backup on a different computer?

  • Importing my own animations some do some don"t

    Hi..
    I am trying to import my own animations, so I can show clients these on my iphone 3G second generation. Any ideas please I have 24 hrs left to solve this.
    They are mp4's or movs and all compressed on a variety of free converters, i.e. If it didn't work on one I tried another. e.g. Handbreak and ImTOO video converter.
    BUT only 5 of the animations are sync-able and 2 will not.... whatever I seem to do with these last two....they just will not copy on to my iphone. They work well from the movie library.
    THX

    Thanks but we will not be in the area for any internet or wifi links. I will probably take my laptop now, but I am now very curious as to why certain files do not work... 4:3 and widescreen seem fine as do all the outputs. Some did not even appear in the library movies and after a couple of tries they did and now they are all there but 2 still not syncing... most odd. Has this happened to anyone else?

  • Do I have to subscribe to iTunes match to be able to import my own CDs to my library?

    I have just imported a CD to the new iTunes and it will only appear in the Up Next list, and doesn't appear properly in my library. I have tried restarting iTunes, and it didn't work. I am wondering if I have to subscribe to iTunes match to be able to import my own CDs? I also can't see the album in iTunes to be able to add the songs to my iPod, is there anyway to resolve this without subscribing to iTunes match?

    Hi,
    You don't need subscribe to match.
    Many posters have reported this problem. Have a look at the posts on this topic in the Itunes for Mac forum.
    A suggestion made in some posts is that if you download the free single of the week from itunes store.
    Can't comment any further as I have never encoutered this problem.

  • Is there any way to import my OWN DVD movies into iTunes and my video iPod?

    I just purchased the new 30 GB video iPod last week, and although I have already purchased a few movies from the iTunes store, I wanted to know if there was a way to import a DVD movie from my own DVD library like we can with our own music CDs?
    Thanks,
    Suzanne

    "That's too bad, because these are movies (DVDs) that I own and have purchased legally myself. How is that different from importing your own purchased CDs into iTunes? Seems like a double standard to me."
    About "legally owning" the DVDs - Yes, I understand, and I'm figuring that most folks who want to put their DVDs onto their iPod are owning the movies legally (or, at least, it appears so).
    That's not really the issue here, though.
    The problem is, there is an encryption that is written onto regular, copyrighted DVDs (i.e., movies). In order to get that onto your iPod, you will have to use software on your computer that breaks that encryption, and makes the file into some more "normal" format, like say, MP4.
    This action can arguably be considered as illegal, in a sense, since you are removing the encryption that's on DVD, which is protecting it from being easily copied, and transferred around. (which would be illegal).
    This is a bit different than CDs, since, although they are copyrighted too, the songs are usually not in a protected format.
    If you have a song that you've purchased from the iTunes Store, and you want to break into that "protected" file format, that's the same kind of issue as the DVD ripping.
    (Notice that the Hosts included that into the ADUA as well, right along with DVD ripping.)
    ...It's quite an interesting kind of subject, isn't it?

  • Stylus RMX - importing your own sounds?

    After buying Stylus RMX I was disappointed to learn that I need ReCycle in order to import my own sounds/loops.
    Does anybody know of a way to do this without using ReCycle?
    Thanks.

    recycle doesn't cost much and its the best way to convert all your samples
    if you ask me its better than using apple loops utility to convert your audio to apple loops
    pay a little for the best or use a free apple loops utility for a standard loops
    stash
    i guarantee you won't be disappointed

  • Can I import my own custom album art for my own music in iTunes?

    Is the album artwork feature just for downloads from the iTunes store? Or can I import my own cover art as a JPEG, say, for music that I have created? Thanks, Scott

    Thanks, Chris. Good suggestion. But the problem hasn't gone away. Here's what I did:
    I ran Repair Permissions but it did not solve the problem. Then I ran verify disk and it checked out OK. Then I ran verify disk permissions and got these 3 i-Tunes related items in the results:
    Permissions differ on "Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/CodeResources", should be -rw-rw-r-- , they are lrw-rw-r-- .
    Permissions differ on "Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/Frameworks/iPodUpdater.framework/Versions/A/C odeResources", should be -rw-rw-r-- , they are lrw-rw-r-- .
    Permissions differ on "Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/Resources/iTunesHelper.app/Contents/CodeResou rces", should be -rw-rw-r-- , they are lrw-rw-r-- .
    Then I ran repair disk permissions a second time, and the same 3 i-Tunes-related "permissions differ" items showed up in the results. Problem still not solved.
    I dug down to these 3 files. Only the iTunesHelper/Contents/CodeResources had a permissions setting available. It was set to rw-rw-r. I don't know what lwr might be or what to do about it if anything.
    Bottom line, I still can't drag my JPEG into the iTunes artwork box. Now it doesn't even flash.
    Thanks,
    Scott

  • Import your own pictures/icon in logic?

    Hi,
    I was just wondering if it's possible to import your own pictures, e.g synth pics, into logic so that you can select them as the icon for that track?
    On the left hand side where you can change the icon of each track, if you click-hold on the icon it gives you a lot of icons to choose, but i'd like to use a few of my own.
    thanks for any help and advice,
    Tom

    Have you looked in the manual (search for ICON)?

  • Importing my own classes

    I have 2 simple classes in the same directory and I'd like to test the use of import to import one class into the other. Upon compilation of the class thats doing the import, I get a compilation error. Herewith the details, where could I be getting it wrong.
    ****code for class to be imported****
    import java.util.Date;
    public class printer
    public void print()
    System.out.println(new Date());
    System.out.println("Hello World");
    --The above code compiles with no problems.
    ***Code for the main class that imports the above*****
    import printer;
    public class myapp
    public static void main(String[] args)
    (new printer()).print();
    -upon compiling the second class above, myapp.java, I get the following errors:
    C:\java\source>javac myapp.java
    myapp.java:1: '.' expected
    import printer;
    ^
    myapp.java:1: ';' expected
    import printer;
    ^
    2 errors

    Moreover, classes do not need to import any class which is in the same package as their own, and since your printer class is in the default package (if you call that a package) you shouldn't need to import it into myapp anyway

  • Help! Cant import my own classes?

    Hi all, I really need some help.
    I created a swing browser application in my working folder called Swiki.
    Then I found a open source package that I want to use some of its classes.
    I put that package into a subfolder (cos it has many subfolders itself).
    I am having a problem importing that package into my own browser.java.
    I tried:
    import Kizna.*;
    OR
    import Kizna.src.com.kizna.*;
    when I try to create an instance of one of the classes:
    public HTMLParser myParser
    The error says:
    "HTMLParser.java": Error #: 901 : package com.kizna.html stated in source C:\Swiki\Kizna\src\com\kizna\html\HTMLParser.java does not match directory Kizna.src.com.kizna.html at line 1, column 19
    can someone help?
    thanks
    TC

    When the compiler and runtime are trying to find files, it converts the import statements to directories, so:import com.kizna.html.*;will look under a directory structure "com/kizna/html/". Then, it will look through your classpath and look to see if this directory structure exists in any of the directories specified in the classpath. That means, if your classpath is ".;C:\SomeDir;C:\AnotherDir", it will first look for class files in ".\com\kizna\html\". If it doesn't find the file it is looking for in there, it will look in "C:\SomeDir\com\kizna\html\". If it still doesn't find the file, it looks in "C:\AnotherDir\com\kizna\html\". If the file doesn't exist in any of these, you will get a compiler error.
    Points to remember:
    1)     Classes in a package, when compiled, must always be in a directory tree that matches the package structure. That is, if you have a class called MyClass in package mypackage.subpackage, then the "MyClass.class" file must be in a directory called "subpackage" which in turn is in a directory "mypackage".
    2)     Your import statements must match the actual package name of the class. You must import "mypackage.subpackage.*" above; importing "subpackage.*" will not work.
    3)     Your classpath must consist of all the base directories of your package directory tree. In the above example, your classpath must include the directory that contains the directory "mypackage".
    Thus, the compiler will look through all combinations of <classpaths>/<import package tree>/MyClass.class to find the file for class MyClass. Here, <classpaths> are the paths given in your classpath and <import package tree> are thre directory structures for the packages you import. So, in your case, you want your classpath to include "C:\kizna\classes" and your import statement to be "import com.kizna.html.*". Note that including "C:\kizna\classes\com" in the classpath and importing "kizna.html.*" will not work (even though the combination gives the correct "location") because your import statement does not match the actual package name given to HTMLParser. While this may seem strange that this isn't allowed, it is done to ensure that classes are unique (classes may use the same name if they are in different packages).
