Import of variables from XML fails, diff shows no difference from Illustrator export

Hi, all,
I've got an AppleScript that I wrote to massage CSV output from Excel into a variable library that I can import into Illustrator. Because I have to maintain black and white and left and right specific image files and output files, I've tried every other solution, and this is the best I've been able to come up with.
diff reports that comparing the output to output of the identical data set exported from Illustrator is a 1-1 match. (I previously identified a place where there was an extra space.)
Illustrator rejects the file with the "The incoming variable library is invalid." error message.
If I copy and paste the contents of the output of my script into the file Illustrator exported, Illustrator reads it back, so my XML is correct.
I'm using Illustrator CS2 and 10.4.11. Does Illustrator set some kind of creator code on the file? Is there something else that could be at work?

hi, i am still having lo luck with reading the xml data back into memory, as i have said before, the netbeans profiler is telling me it is a char[] that is using 50% of the memory but i cannot see how a char[] is created, my code doesn't so it must be the xml code...plz help

New Ibook from ebay will only show power coming from battery

Hi, just got an Ibook G4 from ebay, everything seems to work fine but when I plug it in to charge and such it doesn't recognize it as being plugged in, it still runs from the battery.
When I went to do a software update it gave a message saying that it wasn't plugged into a power source.
Thoughts?
Maybe the power cord is just bad?

As Richard has suggested, I would begin by checking the external power supply. If you can't borrow one from a friend, take your computer down to the Apple Store and have them test it with one of their power supplies. If it charges the battery, you will need to buy a new power supply. Contact your eBay seller and tell them you got a bum power supply. They should make it good.
If, however, a known good power supply does not charge the battery, it could be the DC-in board or some other internal issue, as Richard noted. This could be a difficult process, so I suggest contacting the seller and letting them know that you are having issues. Again, ask them to get it fixed or take the computer back and return the money. Unless you are familiar with the insides of the iBook G4, that would be the route, or else you would need to get a professional to troubleshoot and repair it.

You cannot update iPhone 4 to IOS 8.1.2, the highest you can update is IOS 7.1.2.

Form are different when save an exist form as XML then load from XML

Hi everyone,
Who have experience that save an exist form as XML file then load from XML, some controls position, size and color different with the source form.
I want to use the system wizard form style and I saved system form MRP Wizard as XML file, when I load form from XML, the form shows picture with different position, size, the rectangle control lost color and position also different with source form, because I want to get the line color in the form, the separate line implement using rectangle, please share your opinion how to save the form as XML more Accurate.

After loading a form over XML, we made the experince that in matrices link buttons will not appear everwehere they should. It's a tricky part and we made a work around by changing the columns order and then...the Link Buttons came up ok.

Enviroment.CurrentDirectory
you should use
System.Windows.Forms.Application.StartupPath
, because after you build you add-on with an installer Enviroment.CurrentDirectory does not point to the installed folder

Unflatten from xml on class in lvlib

I am using Flatten To XML and Unflatten From XML on a class in LV2009. This works fine until I put the class in a lvlib. Then the Unflatten From XML returns an error 1527: Attempted to read flattened data of a LabVIEW class that is not currently loaded into LabVIEW. In my test case the flatten and unflatten are in the same VI, so the class was there when it was flattened.
Any help is appreciated.

I don't know of a good workaround at this time if the class has to be inside a LabVIEW library. I tried a few things that I hoped would work that didn't:
Bundling the class into a single-element cluster before flattening to XML, then unflattening and unbundling.
Inserting the class into a Variant before flattening. Then unflatten as a variant and do Variant to Data. This would have added a <LVVariant> tag to the XML, but otherwise would have been harmless.
Trying the same with a single-element array of the class.
None of those worked. The best workarounds I have for you if the class is inside a library are:
Manually serialize and unserialize the class contents to XML using LabVIEW's XML Dom parser. This is a decent amount of work, and won't work with other XML files you create using LabVIEW's default schema.
Flatten the class to string using Flatten to String. Then wire the string into the Flatten to XML. To get the data out, Unflatten from XML as a string, then Unflatten from String into your class. The XML text isn't pretty or really representative of the data stored in it, but hey, it at least saves and loads the data.

I have activated material ledger, Price control for ROH V, A/c determination is 2 and for SFG & FG Price control S & A/c determination set as 3
Production having set of RM material & SFG Material,
and I have price difference from RM purchase ( GR/IR) ,
Price difference from Production order settlement so on..
i need clarification that How standard system behave when ML activate Price difference loaded to ROH , SFG and FG material.
rollup to higher material
and further i need separate GL for price difference GR/IR & Order settlement.

Error editing task sequence: Failed to load dynamic properties for class "SMS_TaskSequence_ApplyWindowsSettingsAction" From XML into WMI

I've started getting an intermittent error editing my Windows 7 OSD task sequence. Sometimes I can open the TS to edit, but when I try to apply changes I get the error. Other times I get the error when trying to open the TS. If I try again
right away, I still get the error, but if I wait a few minutes and try again sometimes it will open the TS.
The error reads:

I exported the task sequence and checked in "object.xml" for the "ApplyWindowsSettingsAction", to see if there was something odd in the xml, but I don't find anything that jumps out as being wrong. Here's the section of XML for

Thanks for sharing that! I tend to save contacting MS support until after I've exhausted other options. I'm always afraid that I'll spend the $500 to open a case and then it turns out to be something simple that I would have found if I had just
kept working on it myself a little longer.
It looks like that link is for an update released in February as KB3023562. I downloaded and installed it. I'll try opening/editing/saving the task sequence a few times today to see if the issue is resolved.
After I had already installed it, I thought to look up that update in configmgr. The update is listed as superseded by 2 other updates. The newest of those is KB3046049, which just installed last night with the other March patches, so it's possible
that I didn't need to install KB3023562 after all.

Read variables from XML

Is it somehow possible to read variables and values from xml into an PowerShell script without specifying each of them separately?
For example I've set the following variables:

First of all your sample code I not PowerShell. Second XML has no "variables". It is a structured document. When imported into PowerShell it shows up as an XMLDocument object. If you want values from the document you have
to extract them by direct reference or query.
The simple answer to your question is "yes". You can assign a default to a variable which will be updated only if the value exist in the document. The rest cannot be determined from what you have asked.
Start by learning some of the basics of PowerShell scripting and ask a new question when you can see what it is you want to do.

The XML you have posted is actually PowerShell object serialization format so it is already a PS object. It is not just arbitrary XML. It isnot clear howyou acquired this which is another reason to learn more of the PS basics.
It appears that you have used ConvertTo-XML to create an XML object. This can be sued to dave values and state but may not bethe best method. Export-CliXml can persist an object and restore it more directly. We can wrap this in a function
that can be used to default values.
Look into Export.CliXml and Import-CliXml.
Example:

Of course a simple lookup table would be done with a pure hash and persisted. For more comples things I would use a custom dataset which can also be persited and restored the same way. Sort of a poor man's portable database.
