Import payroll hours from INF 2002 to table TIP

Hi Gurus,
is it possible to update number of hours field in TIP table according to Payroll Hours from infotype 2002 ?
or :
let's say i've created rounding rules AA in V_T559R
can i call that rounding rules AA from PCR ? coz i read this in OPET ROUND documentations :
Syntax Variant 2
OOOOOxynn
OOOOO       ROUND       Name of operation
x                       Rounding type
                          Use as in variant 1
nn                      Rounding rule
nn          nn represents the 2-character rounding number
from the "Rounding Rules" view (T559R).
Procedure
Times are rounded according to the rounding rule from the "Rounding
Rules" view (V_T559R). You can define as many rounding rules as you
  require in this view.
what should i do?
thanks b4

In a PCR, operation FILLPN will update the number of hours field of the current TIP entry with the current value in the HRS variable.
Is that what you mean?

Simon

  • EPMA very slow to import large dimension from interface tables

I am attempting to import a dimension into the master library from the EPMA interface tables. The dimension is roughly 255,000 members. The import from the interface tables into an empty dimension member is taking close to 3 hours. CPU utilization on the EPMA server is a steady 6% (epma_server.exe) for the entire time. We are on 11.1.2.1.001 of EPMA. The rest of the suite is at 11.1.2.1. The dimension generic type. I have had the same result when importing into a local dimension. The performance degrades after about 6000 members.
Your thoughts would be much appreciated.

I have found my answer from EPMA guide:
In addition to the dimension interface tables created by the template script, you can add interface tables for additional dimensions. For example, the template script contains one set of tables for the Entity dimension. You can add more Entity dimensions as needed. For each dimension added to the interface tables, you must also include the dimension in the IM_Dimension system table so that the dimension is available during profile creation.

  • Getting Paid OT Hours from RT table for Daily

    Hi All,
I am required to do an overtime report. I have an issue with getting the OT hours. This report outlines the OT hours taken by employee each day.
I am taking the OT Hours from ZL table. Now I have to get the Paid OT Hours from RT table. This is to compare how many OT hours are taken and which are not paid in payroll.
I am able to get the Hours from ZL table because there is a date field there (datum). But RT table is cumulated by month. So I can't identify which paid hours are from which date.
Is there any other way to find out the OT hours that have been paid off daily?
    Please help
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Lily

    Hi,
The field 'LGART' in the ZL table can differentiate whether its a paid OT wage type or not.For your requirement, consider the hours of paid wagetype.Hope this will solve ur problem.

  • Best way to Import Data from a SQL Server Table?

    Hi,
Firstly thanks for looking at this question.
We need to import data into SAP BPC 5.1 on a twice daily basis and have chosen not to export to a .CSV file but instead to hold all data in a SQL table and import it directly from there.  As part of the import we wish to run the default logic, however only over the data which is imported as opposed to having to running default logic over the entire database after every import.
We did some research on this topic and the only thing we could find that would work as described above is using the "Import SQL" package.  However we keep experiencing problems with it and have not yet been able to run it successfully; the errors it gives are not consistent from run to run which makes it difficult to start a thread, though we are getting help from the helpdesk at the moment.
My question here though is - is there another way that someone knows of to import data into SAP BPC from a SQL table, and being able to run default logic over just the data being imported, or is our only hope getting the "Import SQL" package working?
    Any help much appreciated.
    Regards,
    Iain
Forgot to mention details of our environment:
    SAP BPC v5.0.495, 2 server environment -
Server 1 (DB/AS/SSIS/File server) = 64bit Windows 2k3 server with 64bit SQL Server Enterprise Edition
    Server 2 (IIS/App server) = 32bit Windows 2k3 server
Edited by: Iain Hambleton on Jun 17, 2008 3:25 PM

    Lain,
I recently created SSIS packages that need to work with a staging table that does all kind of manipulations of that data before it is loading into SAP BPC, because it also has to load the data in the drillthrough table within the same package. From one point in my package the data is also in a SQL table so basically the same as in your situation. This also works with an export to CSV within the DTSX file like Alwin said, because in this case you can use the standard transformation and conversion stuff during the load.
I also needed to limit the data region for logic to the data region that is in the load for currency conversion purposes. This is not very much of a problem. I had a situation where I have an Accounts receivable cube containing a daily time dimension for keyduedates and a datasrc dimension containing weeks. Every week has a complete overview of the open AR items in that week and need to be converted for that week (datasrc) only and not for the whole database every time we load. But by default data would be converted based on the Keyduedates dimension while I wanted the Week dimension to be used as the data region. I solved it by using these rows in the logic:
    *Scope_by=version,Weeks
    *xdim_memberset weeks=%weeks_set%
    *xdim_memberset version = %version_set%
I can send you the SSIS package and logic if you want. Just send me your details then.

  • Import Web Page content into table, like Excel imports a Frame from a page

I have a need to import specific content from a web page (specific frame on the page) and store that data in a table. We currently have Microsoft Excel setup with a link to the page and import a specific frame off the page into Excel. But I would like to do this directly into PeopleSoft. Has anyone done something like this before?
    Thanks
    JB

    Scott-
You haven't explained what the format of the text file is and
how you want to display it. You can get the contents of a file with
CFHTTP (if it's in a web-readable directory) and treat it as a
query if it is in a delimited data format. Then you can use
CFOUTPUT as you would with any other query.
You can also use CFFILE to read the contents of a text file
and display it in your page. You can use HTML PRE tags or you can
replace the CR/LF with a BR tag to force a line break.. Lots of
options, depending on your particular situation.

  • Restrict number of rows to be pulled from PeopleSoft's PS_LEDGER table while importing data in FDMEE

    Hi,
We need to know if FDMEE 11.1.2.3.520 product supports restricting number of rows to be pulled from PeopleSoft's PS_LEDGER table.
All the records fetched from PS_LEDGER is getting loaded into TDATASEG table.
Currently, it is trying to pull all the records based on the given "period", "version" and "year" combination. We are looking to restrict rows based on specific account/entity/program/subprogram combination.
If this is can be done, will it be an out-of-the-box functionality or does it require any customization/import scripts/api.
Admin guide does say we can use Jython to filter rows using import scripts. However, it seems to be limited to file not a table as a source.
I have attached a document with the screenshots so that the issue is better understood !
    Thanks,
    Hari

    1)
When you set a column to hidden in a classic report using the method I described, it creates hidden form elements for that column.
    <tt><input type="hidden" name="f01" value="" id="f01_0002"></tt>
You should inspect the source to figure out the name value.
Since this belongs to the wwv_flow form, we can therefore get this data with: wwv_flow.f01
Alternatively, you could have used the apex_item API to achieve the same result, which probably gives a bit better control.
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E37097_01/doc/doc.42/e35127/apex_item.htm#CHDBFHGA
select apex_item.hidden(1, col) || col col
    from table
Set that column to a standard report column so it doesn't escape the html.
You can also reference the data in these fields using PL/SQL using the apex_application API:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E37097_01/doc/doc.42/e35127/apex_app.htm#CHDGJBAB
    2)
As above, setting the column to hidden creates hidden elements on the page. It is simply f01 because that is the only hidden field I would have on my page. With four reports on the page, you would need to be careful not to do the same on the other reports, as you would get inaccurate data. For each report, setting columns to hidden always starts with f01. In that, you would be best to use the apex_item API.
I actually initially ran into this issue when i had a tabular form on the same page as a report with hidden fields, which was causing conflicts in the page processes.
    Hope it helps.

  • Import IP Prefix from Global Table into a VRF Table

    Hello,
Is it possible to import IP Prefix from Global Table into a VRF Table on ASR9001 with Version 4.3.0? Thanks.
    Regards,
    Eric

    hi Eric,
In 4.3.1 there is a feature that will allow you to do this.
The Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) dynamic route leaking feature provides the ability to import routes
between the default-vrf (Global VRF) and any other non-default VRF, to provide connectivity between a
global and a VPN host. The import process installs the Internet route in a VRF table or a VRF route in the
    Internet table, providing connectivity.
You can follow the ASR9000 blog here to monitor when 4.3.1 will be posted to Cisco.com
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/blogs/asr9k
or watch for the 4.3.1 Release Notes here

  • How to find login times greater than 24 hours from custom table.

    Hello Guru's,
I am having trouble approaching how to construct a query that will find who has been logged in for more than 24 hours, this table is updated every few hours to show who's logged in and where- I am attempting to find out if someone has been logged in for more than 24 hours- if so, who and where. This is difficult for me because I need to compare each recorded for each user login and then see if the next entry is greater than 24 hours from the previous entry.
A table holds the login times and locations as table position_hist:
    position_id,userid,upd_date.
    Something like;
select position_id,userid,upd_date from position_hist where (select upd_date from position_hist where "the next entry for that user and that position is greater than 24 hours?????"
I guess the easier way to look at it is for a given position_id who has been logged in for more than 24 hours in one go.
Any advice would be brilliant :-)

It's hard without knowing your Oracle version, or having any sample data to work with. Please post that in the future using \ tags and DDL/DML.

  • Ssis - import data from flat file to table (sql server 2012)

i have create a ssis for importing data from flat file to table in sql server 2012.
but i got the below error for some column in data flow task.
error: cannot processed because than one code page (950 and 1252)
    anyone helps~

    Hi,
The issue occurs because the source flat file uses ANSI/OEM – Tranditional Chinese Big5 encoding. When processing the source file, the flat file connection manager uses code page 950 for the columns. Because SQL Server uses code page to perform conversions
between non-Unicode data and Unicode data, the data in the code page 950 based input columns cannot be loaded to code page 1252 based destination columns. To resolve the issue, you need to load the data into a SQL Server destination table that includes Unicode
columns (nchar or nvarchar), and convert the input columns to Unicode columns via Data Conversion or the Advanced Editor for the Flat File Source at the same time.
Another option that may not be that practical is to create a new database based on the Chinese_Taiwan_Stroke_BIN collation, and load the data to non-Unicode columns directly.

  • Can you import one TOC from one project to another? (RH9)

I have been working on a complicated project in RH9. (all work done in RH)
I made all the modifications to the htm files that I needed.
I went to rename the .htt file and upon entry, RH 9 CRASHED!
When I reopened, my TOC was entirely GONE!
Luckily, I made a backup of the entire directory a few hours ago.
    Options:
A.) Revert to backup and redo hours of work (not what I want to do).
B.) Somehow import the TOC from the backup to the new project.
I hope this is a dumb question and very easy to do. It is a VERY complex TOC (prints out to 11 pages) so I do not want to redo from scratch.
I await all of your expert advice.
    Thank you so much!
    DianaJ

    Hi,
To import a TOC into existing project you may follow the steps as below:
    1. Go to Project Manager POD and expand the TOC folder
    2. Click New TOC in the Right Click Menu
    3. Give the desired name to the TOC you want
    4. Check the checkbox "Copy existing Table of Contents" and browse to the TOC file that you want to import
    5. Click OK and all contents of the TOC should be imported.
    I hope it works
    Thanks

  • CATSDB  and Payroll Hours Reconciliation

    Hello,
The problem is this: Given a date range from the selection screen, get the hours worked (catshours) from CATSDB and then match it up from the payroll hours (ANZHL) from RT to see if there is any discrepancy.
To solve this problem, I am reading the RGDIR and looping where PAYDT is between pn-begda and pn-endda and strza eq 'A' (active) and void ne 'V'. Then getting the sequence numbers in an internal table and calling the RT table for all the sequence numbers. Finally adding the ANZHL based on LGART.
From CATSDB side, select catshours where pernr eq pernr-pernr, workdate between pn-begda and pn-endda, status eq (from select options), awart eq (from select options) into an itab. Then adding up  the catshours in the itab.
The problem is the data is not matching up..is it because the dates (pn-begda pn-endda  and payroll periods are not matching up?) what is wrong?
    I will reward points immediately..
    Thanks

Thanks Manu...I appreciate it.   Actually I realized that I was counting the hours multiple times for the same For Period because of the Off-Cycle Payments/Additional Payments etc.  I will use "PAYTY EQ ' '" to exlclude the additional runs/off cycles etc. Lets see if it works..

  • Data from Excel to ADF table

    Hi,
I need to export data from excel to ADF table and edit the data and finally send it back to database.
Would you kindly let me know how to proceed in this?
    Many thanks in advance
    Regards

This depends on your excel file structure.
You can use ADF Desktop Integration or
something like this(for simple excel files):
    for excel -> adf table

    For adf table -> excel:
