Importance of Planning Table

hi! Gurus,
can you please expalin me the importance of Planning Table (MF50).
i can see the capacity data & material data, with a barchart (Capacity Planning Table). but, wht information i can get from that? how it is useful for planning? because, i felt MD04 can give better information than a planning table.
and moreover i am unable to interpret the barchart.....it is displaying all production orders in tat week or month. but, whats the use (who needs tat information & for what)?
i think i clearly explaind my agony....please help me

In MF50,
You will get many options,
Mainly you will get the requirement and after running MRP, you will get receipt element(planned orders), This planned orders can be scheduled alone the axis by distibuting the order qty considering the capcity so that you can see that wc is over loadded.
From here you can create production order or planned order directly.

Splitting in REM planning table

Hello,
I am presently working with REM planning table.In planning table there is functinality of splitting the monthly quantities to daily quantities or weekly quantities.
When you split the quantities what calculation system is doing internally?
How system determines the start and end dates for the splitted orders.
If I want to split the quantities on the basis of fixed percentages that is 18 % first week , then 23 % second week , 25 % third and rest percentages for last week.
Can this weekwise varying distibution is possible in Planning table ?

Hi ravindra,
if u are working with longer lead time planned order, u can use various functinality to split the order qty for day or shift wise.
The Avilable Capacity of the workcenter plays important Role.With refernce to this Avilable capacity the sytem schedules (spilts) order qty as per your need.
Lead time scheduling will be carried out to determine start and end date of planned orders.
For example u want distribute planned order day wise, system schedules the planned order with reference to Daywise Avilable capacity of WC. if the capacity requirements of planned order exceeds the avilable capacity of one day, system will automatically spilit the order qty for next day for remaining capacity requirements.
This is way, system works to spilit the order. Before that u have to select correct scheduling data under "scheduling" tab of planning table.
For your last question, system will schedule planned order according to Avilabale capacity and capacity requirements.
i think u can spilit manually accorting to your need .Since u have Avilable capacity for full week why do u want to spilit with some percentage.

Hi All
Can anyone please explain the significance of various tables used in planning.
I have searched the whole of Oracle portal but i haven't found a documentation which explains the importance or significance of various tables of planning.
If possible please provide me the link of this documentation or kindly let me know the significance of various planning tables.

1)In Repetitive Manufacturing, the master plan is represented by the planning table. The planning table is a tool for operative planning and is used to plan the production quantities:
2) In a repetitive manufacturing environment, planning and control is usually carried out in a period and quantity basis. The layout of the planning table has been designed to support this requirement and is also based on periods to provide a very clear, easy-to-interpret overview of materials and production lines.
3)The planning table is the planneru2019s/MRP controlleru2019s most important tool for planning the production quantities. At a glance the planner can check production quantities, monitor the available capacity of the production lines and check up on the availability situation of the products produced on each line.
4)You can directly enter and change production quantities in the planning table. You can assign u2018non-assignedu2019 production quantities to the production lines or you can reassign production quantities to alternative production lines.
5) You create the production quantities or assign them to the production line in the planning table.
6 )You can also use the planning table with capacity planning. Here, planning is based on lead time scheduling. The basis for lead time scheduling is the routing. You can access the capacity planning table directly from the REM planning table.

BGP Support for IP Prefix Import from Global Table into a VRF Table

Hi,
is any ever tried this. When i uses a such a route-map for import ipv4 prefix from the global route table, it also filters the ipv4 prefix'es from the vrf route table. So I lost vrf routes from the other routers. I have tried to allow wiht a extcommunity list but I didnt worked. Is this a bug or am I missing something.

First of all, i'd recommend you to start a new thread in case you have your own problem to solve, unless your problem is related to the original post.
As for you question, what you have described is the exact behavior of a service provider with a MPLS backbone, it is a BGP free core, the P routers need not run BGP, since the PE routers will have LSP tunnels using label switching over the backbone and the P routers will just do label swapping and not IP lookups, accordingly the P routers needs not learn the BGP routes, but however you need all the routers (PEs and Ps) to run an IGP in order to be able to build the forwarding plane tables.

Error while importing a DW table into DAC

Hi,
We are on OBIEE 7.9.6 and we have a requirement of adding new DW table. I created a new table in DW and getting error "Could connect to data source process. Process failed during creation of connection pool", while trying to import this new table into DAC. I would like to know why I am getting this error.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I added this table in DW database and have imported into informatica. When I look at the traffic light it is red. Looks like thats the problem.

Operations are not getting despatched in capacity planning table

Hi Experts,
I am using capacity planning table (Graphical) to level the capacities and sequence the process orders. The start date of my orders are very well in future and sufficient capacities also is available in resources. But when I go to CM25 and select one order and click on despatch, system is not despatching it. This is the case for almost all the overall profiles.
The surprising factor is, this function was working fine earlier without any issues. I havent done any changes in configs which will affect capacity planning.
What can be the reason for this? Any thoughts please?.
One more thing. Is there any option to avoid the capacity planning step if Iam using R/3 and manage it by some other way?

Most likely you didnt define the rowsource key properly. Please look under <install>/errors folder for any file there.
Also, please read the documentation. There is information there about how to troubleshoot a loading problem. Please always read the documentation and we would appreciate feedback on the documentation.

To export and import oracle 11g table data only

Just not sure of the procedure to follow in the export just the table data and then truncate the table do some changes(not table structure changes ) and then import the same table data in to the relevent table .

If you can use Data Pump, here are your commands:
expdp table_owner/password directory=<your_directory> dumpfile=table_name.dmp tables=table_name content=data_only
impdp table_owner/password directory=<your_directory> dumpfile=table_name.dmp tables=table_name table_exists_action=append
Data Pump requires version 10.1 or later.

Pages simply won't support a table with that many rows. If you need that many, you must use another application.
Perhaps the originator could use a tabbed list rather than a table. That's the only way you will be able to contain a list that long in Pages. You can do the conversion yourself if you open the Word document in LibreOffice, Copy the Table, Paste the Table into Numbers, Export the Numbers doc to CSV, and import to Pages. In Pages Find and Replace the Commas with Tabs.
There are probably other ways, but that's what comes to mind here.

Error message in capacity planning table

Hi,
I am using REM planning table.I enter the planning table by giving the selection criteria of Plant and production line.
System is giving following error message,
the error message and dignosis of the error message is given here.
'No prod. dates for material MTI_FERT011, version 0001, production line 2279'
Message no. REMPT315
Diagnosis
The planned order has no production dates for the combination of material, production version and production line you specified.
This may be as a result of the following, for example:
The planned order was scheduled but not using the production line you selected. (The production line is determined by the production version you entered in a planned order.)
Procedure
One possibility of finding out what is causing the problem is:
To access the planned order from the detailed dialog box in the table via "Change" and reschedule the planned order. Check the scheduling log by choosing "Goto --> Scheduling log". More information is displayed in the log's warning or error messages.
But which master data to be corrected is not known.
Experts please guide me.

Hello,
I had the same error while working with the REM planning table, despite the consistency of the data.
Another cause that can lead to the error message REMPT315 is that in the production version detailed screen, "Planning data" table you have entered the routing next to rate-based planning. You must enter the routing (number of the group and the group counter) on the line detailed planning.
After that, choose check again and try to introduce new quantities in the planning table. It worked for me!

Unable to drop or truncate a plan table

I was trying to execute 'Explain Plan' on one of my query. However, when I tried to drop the plan table, i was prompted that the table or view does not exists:

Error when Importing a External table

When I am trying to import a external table I am getting a error as SQL Exception. Any ideas as to how to fix this error.
The external table is under one schema. I have a locator in OWB pointing to that schema and I am trying to Import the external table. I am able to see this table in TOAD.

How to do import of only table data without procedures and synonyms

Hello All,
I want to import only the tables of one database to a new database. I did a table level export of one schema. But along with it the stored procedures,synonyms, views etc are exported. Is there any way to stop them. Or is it possible to import only the tables from the dump created?

Import from internal table

Dear Experts,
I need a solution for importing from an internal table.
Two variables I_EXP01 and I_EXP02 containing an xml stream have been exported to the database using the following syntax
and depending on the size of I_EXP01 and I_EXP02 two or more entries are created in table LTEX.
EXPORT
         L_SAPRL
         I_EXP01
         I_EXP02
TO    DATABASE LTEX(LT)
                       ID LS_LTEXKEY.
But now i have a few entries of table LTEX in an internal table and they need to be imported from the internal table.
What would be the syntax to import from internal table so that after importing I can de-serialise the data from XML to ABAP.
