Imported Archive Class Conflicts

I am using a JAVA user defined function within a message mapping.
The JAVA function class requires classes in two reference libraries org.apache.commons.collections and org.apache.commons.beanutils.
When I try to import these two jar files as archives, there are some classes which exist in both libraries and the import fails.
I'm new to JAVA, is there anything that can be done to resolve this conflict and let me load both libraries as archives ?
Thanks

Hi Paul,
It sounds like you might have the wrong version of the beanutils package.  See below for information I pulled from the apache website:
Since the 1.7.0 release BeanUtils has distributed three jars:
u2022commons-beanutils.jar - contains everything                                        <------- You probably have this one
u2022commons-beanutils-core.jar - excludes Bean Collections classes       <------- You want this one
u2022commons-beanutils-bean-collections.jar - only Bean Collections classes
The main commons-beanutils.jar has an optional dependency on Commons Collections

  • Issue in .class file in imported archive ESR - after upload using eclipse

    Dear Friends,
    My requirement here is too change existing java mapping. Here I am exporting zip file from imported archive and after making changes in eclipse upload the .JAR file again. Here .class file is not opening after upload in Imported Archive.
    Error is

    -> JRE on my system – JRE 6

    I searched online blogs but no help. Can anybody guide me what wrong am I doing here?
    Thanks.
    Sumeet.

    Thanks for reply..Hareesh.
    -> In Eclipse only 1 warning is coming and no error. I guess Eclipse automatically compile .class file. Is there any way in eclipse to see if compilation is done properly?
    -> I imported few external JAR files and already few JAR files are there in Eclipse(JRE1.6), as shown in fig below. Which JAR file is being user? How can I make sure?
    -> When using Run as option I am not getting any option. Is it normal or did I have to activate some option?
    Please give your views on this.
    Thanks.

  • Class conflict upon import

    I've got the most ugly sub VI ever created (not by mysself) that I've been tasked with maintaining and upgrading.  It's a quagmire, but it's a quagmire that works with a couple minor exceptions.  It was written using LabVIEW 7.0.  One of my todos is to make it work under Windows 7.  To that end, plus several bug in LabVIEW 7.0 which are well past the point of expecting anyone to maintain, I've tried to import it into LabVIEW 2010.  I have one "Wire: Class conflict" errors upon the automatic upgrade that I can't figure out how to resolve.  It is a reference to a tab control that is wired into an Insert into Array VI.
    Detail: You have connected a refnum of one type to a refnum of another type and both types are members of some class hierarchy, but there is neither a simple up cast nor type cast between the two classes.
    Warning: the attached VI is the worst of a collection of what-not-to-do VIs I am dealing with.  I'll remove it as soon as I resolve this issue, due to sheer embarassment.

    I figured it out myself.
    1. Create a constant to the Insert Into Array VI
    2. Use that constant as Target Class to To More Specific Class VI
    3. Use the original property node as reference to To More Specific Class VI
    4. Disconnect the constant created in step #1, connect the output from To More Specific Class VI
    Huh, no edit nor delete on the original post.  Oh well.

    How can you use RpClean on an environment repository

    Note also that your Name Server performances may be

    Try this simple escript:

    Note that this will only export the active environments - no

    Hi,
    as ur import statement  states
    com.sap.engine.interfaces.keystore
    You need to import the jar in directory hierarchy as above manner.

  • RE: Importing a class CEX file using TOOL

    What exactly are you trying to do when you say "import"? I can think of
    two possibilities:
    1. You simply want to import the text of the file, in which case
    you can use Forte's File class.
    2. You actually want to load the class definition and instantiate
    an object based on that class. If so, you will need to deploy the class
    in a library and use Forte's dynamic class loading and instanceAlloc().
    This is well documented in the Forte manuals.

    Hello,
    I don't know about any forte classes to do the job.
    But, if it just automating the imports that you are concerned with
    then you can accomplish it using fscript.
    For eg. in UNIX machines you can write a shell script to go through
    a directory, get all files with .cex extension and call fscript which
    would open a workspace/repository and do an import plan.
    Hope this helps

    Hi Chris,
    The goal that I want to achieve is this: at runtime, read a CEX file from
    my filesystem and "import class" it into my workspace. It is equivalent to
    invoking the menu item "Component,Import Class/Interface".
    Basically I am generating hundreds of TOOL classes and I don't want to
    manually import them myself. I am aware of the Forte Code generator, but
    the classes I wish to generate are much too complex for the generator (I
    want virtual attributes based upon NonKeyAttributes, with their own Set and
    Get methods, as well as methods with changing/variable parameters -
    something I believe that the generator cannot handle).
    Cheers,
    Geoff Whittington

    2. You actually want to load the class definition and instantiate
    an object based on that class. If so, you will need to deploy the class
    in a library and use Forte's dynamic class loading and instanceAlloc().
    This is well documented in the Forte manuals.

    Auto forwarded by a Rule
    Hi Forte Users,
    Would anyone know how to import a class CEX file using TOOL
    code? Is there
    a class in one of the libraries that I can use to do such a
    task?
    If anyone has some insight into such an endeavor (positive or
    negative)
    please respond!
    As well, I would like to express my appreciation for this
    mailing list - it
    has carried some excellent Forte dialogue.
    Thanks for all your help!

  • Access Imported Archive in User Defined Function

    Hi!
    I want to access a XML file in an user defined function in a message mapping. The XML file is included in an imported archive. I need the information out of this XML file for configuring an extended receiver determination.
    Does anyone know how to solve this?
    Best regards,
    Daniel

    Hi Krishna,
    a property file will be a solution but is has to be stored in the filesystem. In my scenario I prefer a file (not neccessary xml) which is editeable in the IR.
    I tried something in this way (just for testing):
    try {
         DocumentBuilderFactory factory = null;
         DocumentBuilder builder = null;
         Document document = null;
         Element element = null;
         factory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
         builder = factory.newDocumentBuilder();
         document =  builder.parse(Container.class.getResourceAsStream("routing.xml"));
         element = (Element)document.getElementsByTagName("BUSINESS_SYSTEM").item(0);
         return element.getNodeValue();
    } catch (Exception e) {
         return "Crash: "+e.getMessage();
    But it crashes, because the resource "routing.xml" cannot be found. I tried to add the namespace or the name of the imported archive or both as prefix, but it don't work. How can I find out under which address/url I can open the xml document?
    Best regards,
    Daniel

  • Problem in recognising the imported archives

    Hi All,
        Inorder to increase the reusability, I've created a JAR file for some of the user defined functions (like lookup, etc) and imported that JAR (under imported archives) into XI from my local machine. But, in the UDF when I try to instantiate an object for the class in the JAR file, I get an error saying that package com.abc.xyz (which I've mentioned in the import statement of the UDF, because in my JAR class, I had mentioned the same package) doesn't exist.
    Doesn't XI recognise the Jar files imported under archives? Should I keep the JAR file in the J2EE server of XI? Please suggest.
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks,
    Joe.

    Hi,
    What tool are you using to create the jar files?
    The jar file should also have the model folder present in it.
    for importing if your class name is Abc
    in the package com.company then type
    import com.company.Abc;
    While importing in the Imported Archives make sure the jar created by you has the .project and .classpath files also in it..

  • Static initialization of java code included in the Imported Archives jars?

    Hi

    I dint get this. What does the imported archive contain? A java class? If so, you can acess the members of the class in the UDF with the correct package name.

  • UDF and imported Archives

    Hi,
    We've created two classes in a package and created a jar file. Then we imported the JAR into the a namespace as an Imported Archive. In our UDF we imported the package. But when we test the map we get the following exception.
    <b>bad class file: /usr/sap/XXX/DVEBMGS00/j2ee/cluster/server0/./temp/classpath_resolver/Map85e140e0dd6c11db8894001125a5ce17/classpath/CustomExceptionHandlers_0(xxx/xx/xi/mapping/udf/MyTestClass.class) class file has wrong version 49.0, should be 48.0 Please remove or make sure it appears in the correct subdirectory of the classpath.</b>
    Does anyone have an idea on the cause of this error?

    Hi Gilder,
    The same problem was solved here
    Extraction of Auxiliary Key Figure
    Java 1.4 creates class files labeled with version 48.0
    Java 1.5 creates class files labeled with version 49.0
    Java 1.4 can't run class files labeled with version 49.0
    49 is the correct classfile version for 1.5.
    If you're getting this error your runtime is 1.4 or earlier while your compiler is 1.5.
    Hope it helps u out

  • UDF does not find package in imported archive

    Hello,
    as I want to use a base64 encoding method I have created an imported archive to use the package org.apache.commons.code.binary and want to use Base64 class in an UDF.
    I have created an imported archive in the same SVCW and namespsace as the UDF exists. However when executing the UDF I get the following error message:
    package org,.apache.commons.codes.binary. does not exist
    import org.apache.commons.codec.binary.*
    The import statement in the UDF is spelled correctly and the imported archive was acitvated without error.
    What could be the reason for this?

    Hello,
    I have created an imported archive in the same SVCW and namespsace as the UDF exists. However when executing the UDF I get the following error message:
    package <org,.apache>.commons.codes.binary. does not exist
    import org.apache.commons.<codec.>binary.*
    The import archive procedure you have done is correct. In your UDF check your importing statement as its not in correct syntax.
    and also check the spelling of the package. check the words i have marked with in tags.

    Prasanna

  • How to upload into import archive

    How to import the XSL mapping and JCO LOOK UPS int to import archive archive
    should i import java file or class file in look ups part , what abt the XSLT mappimg part, then i want to test the mapping part will you please tell me how to copy the already existing interface so that i can test the mapping part without distrubing it
    thanking you
    sridhar

    Hi,
    To test the XSLT Mapping:
    -Zip the .xslt file and import the zip into Improted Archive
    -Then create the new Interface Mapping or you can copy old Interface Mapping by right clicking on the Interface Mapping where you required to use XSLT mapping
    btw, if you are using xslt or java mapping, you need to just use this in the Interface Mapping.
    -In interface mapping, you can see the drop down list to select type of mapping and proceed further. It will direct you .
    Hope this helps,
    Rgds,

  • Import individual classes or entire package?

    Hi All,
    This is just a general curiosity question but I was wondering what the best way is to import mulitple classes from the same package. i.e. is it better to do something like this:
    import java.awt.Color;
    import java.awt.Dimension;
    import java.awt.GridBagConstraints;
    import java.awt.GridBagLayout;
    import java.awt.Insets;
    import java.awt.Toolkit;
    import java.awt.event.ActionEvent;
    import java.awt.event.KeyEvent;or this:
    import java.awt.*;Is the compiler smart enough to only import the needed classes as would be the case in 'import java.awt.*;'?

    This document had some pretty good reason not to use the .* import:
    http://wwws.sun.com/software/sundev/whitepapers/java-style.pdf
    - The most important reason is that someone can later add a new unexpected class file to the same package
    that you are importing. This new class can conflict with a type you are using from another package,
    thereby turning a previously correct program into an incorrect one without touching the program
    itself.
    - Explicit class imports clearly convey to a reader the exact classes that are being used (and which classes
    are not being used).
    - Explicit class imports provide better compile performance. While type-import-on-demand declarations
    are convenient for the programmer and save a little bit of time initially, this time is paid for in
    increased compile time every time the file is compiled.

  • Class Conflict On Object Wires

    Does anyone know why I get a class conflict when doing the below:
    All of the above objects desend from a common ancestor.
    I can fix it doing this:
    Is this the correct way to get around it?   Do I lose the child specific member data when I recast it as the more specific class?

    You can see that not all classes inherit from BRSIGHT, because there's a coercion dot on all inputs going into the build array primitive. If they all inherited from it, then the first terminal would not have a coercion node.
    In the specific case of the code you show, this works because the first element (which is the one you take) IS a BRSIGHT, so casting it returns no error. If it wouldn't be a BRSIGHT, you would get an error out of the cast and a default BRSIGHT object. It's important to understand that the cast node doesn't change the object - the object always carries all of its data, regardless of the type of the wire it's on. Casting only changes the type of the wire, but the actual object on the wire has to be of the same class as the object wired to the type terminal.
