Imported project from CVS not working.

Hi all,
I am experiencing a weird problem with the use of CVS.
I am a new user of CVS, i installed a cvs server and i am trying to test its functionnalities within JDEV so that i can explain to the team i am working with how to use and benefit from it use.
But right now i have a hard time using it. I imported the project to CVS using the command line and then i checked it out using jdev. the problem is that when i compile i get an error on every jspx page the error is a java.lang.IllegalArgumentException for the following lines in the source of the jspx :

Also the the design view of the page is in designer mode and not in normal edit mode.(i only see embedded boxes one inside the other)
I did a test i took the project from the folder that i used to import it to cvs and this version is working perfectly no errors at all.
What could be the cause of this problem.
I am using jdev 10.1.3.3 with cvs version: 1.11.17

I did some more extensive testing and i actually got it to work on a redhat machine. But i tried on 2 different windows machine and it does not want to work!!! But as i said from the redhat machine it worked right out of the box!!!
On the windows machines i tried the jdev native cvs client and i also tried to install a newer version of cvsnt and i specified the path in my project unsuccesfully. I am running out of tests to try... Could it have to do with file permissions since the server is on a redhat machine and i try to import into windows!!! (i dont think this is even an issue but i am ready to consider every options)

Yes, does have .html extension and does work if opened in a tab. However, I just discovered that there was a missing > which proved to be the issue.
Once that was corrected, the import worked as it should.

I'm trying to add album art to a CD I imported but it will not work. The album art will add to other albums but it won't show on the album. The CD is imported from Japan, didn't think that would be a problem. Does anyone know a solution?

You are welcome. As I gather you have now figured out, any of the other formats (AAC, MP3, AIFF, or Apple Lossless) can handle artwork just fine.

DB Adaptor import table option does not work with the AS400 DB

1. The DB Adaptor import table option does not work with the IBM i-series(AS/400) tables(Both in ESB and BPEL).
2. Also I was not able to import tables from multiple databases into
the same BPEL project.

Next time you open the photos application hold down both of the keys suggested and then launch the application in the usual way. If you do this you will be presented with the opportunity to repair your library.

Import job RSI_IMPORT_CCMS_JOBS is not working in Redwood Cronacle

Hi,
We are facing problems in the redwood cronacle, where in the standard import job RSI_IMPORT_CCMS_JOBS is not working. When ever we are running the script, the status of the import job goes to waiting and never gets completed. When its killed and re-run it again moves to waiting status.
Cronacle version : 7.0.4.2. Hope some one will help me out to solve this issue.

Hi,
as mentioned by Anton in his previous post, the import of abaps and variants is a kind of nice to have that CPS does for you. The import of abap and variant data enables CPS to create a Script with the defaults all set and ready for you to submit. Having this data in CPS also means that when you submit your CPS SAP Script the parameter values for instance,client, abap,variant will only be a valid combination. If you remove the Script Parameter constraints for your CPS Script then you can submit your own Script (using a copy of RSI_ABAP_RUN or RSI_ABAP_RUN_PRINT but with the param constraints removed) with whatever values you like. If you enter a valid combination the SAP job will run. If invalid you'll get an error when trying to submit in SAP. Obviously the parameter constraints ideally are there to prevent this second scenario.
In terms of why the import of variants seems to hang; you haven't got variants begining with '&' have you? CPS doesn't like these 'dynamic' variants. I have had problems in the past where this is the case.

Ok, the project panel does not work anymore!!!!

I'm using flash cs5.5 and today I opened my project to start working... just to find out that the project panel does not work. When I click the tab to expand it, flash hangs for a minute and then it works, but the panel is blank, empty. The odd thing, I saved the project as CS5 version to open it in the CS5 Flash, but CS5 it's broken too.
I tried opening Flash (both versions) without loading any project and the tab does not work either.
Anyone has an idea on this?

Ok, I think I get what the problem is... When I make right click over the PROJECT panel, it displays the flash player popup menu, so I guess it's made with flash/air. What I think is that my flash player is somehow screwed, so it don't displays the project panel contents and won't let me export my FLA files correctly. And it happens in both CS5 and CS5.5 versions.
Maybe a clean reinstall of both should solve the issue... I reinstalled the CS5.5 two times, and didn't solve the problem, neither uninstalling/installing the flash player plugin for all browsers.

WebDynpro Problem - Importing Project from tutorials

I am trying to gothru the tutorial Accessing ABAP Functions in Web Dynpro (4).
I have downloaded and unzipped the zip file 4TutWD_FlightList.zip
When I try and Import a project,
It finds the Project TutWD_FlightList_init, I am able to select the project, but then I recieve a error
"Errors importing Projects
Error message: Invalid project description.
I have tried other project tutorials off SDN and get the same error.

I have tried the File>Import>Import Project from File System>
I am able to get the project created but none of the other structure is being built. The application,controller, views and window are all missing. I have tried to rebuild the project and I have tried to repair the project. No errors but no project structure either. I was a little confused by your suggestion to extract and then extract again. I have no files in the TutWD_FlightList_init.zip to extract again.
Also in the directory structure I have the files for the project such as...
project --> ProjectProperties.wdproperties
application --> FlightListApp.wdapplication
resultview--> ResultView.wdview , ResultView.wdview.xlf
controllers --> SearchView.wdcontroller
Any other suggestion would be appreciated,

Importing songs from CDs - not showing up in my Library

I am aving trouble importing songs from CDs. I completed the process as instructed - using the "import this CD" button (I have done this many times successfully).
The import process ran OK. When the Import process completed, I looked in my music Library and the songs were not there.
I repeated the process - same result. Nothing in my music library.
What should I do?

When I load the CD, iTunes recognizes it and asks me if I want to Import the CD.
When I click on "Import CD", the song titles are retreived and show up. The iTunes bar at the top of the screen shows "Importing track 1" or "Importing the song by title". Each song is imported, and I can see each song being impotrted via the iTunes bar at the top of the screen. iTunes shows that the CD has been imported, and the system dings when the import is done.
This is exactly the same as every other time I've imported CDs. The only difference is that the songs do not show up in the library.

Hi Josef,
I only administer cvsnt, so I can explain it for Linux only very roughly... Deleting projects under a repository as well es single files should be done by just deleting the dir tree / the file.
For deleting a repository first you have to "delete" it via CVS Service Control Panel (so delete the connection between CVS and a certain dir as repository so far) and aftwerwards delete the dir tree on the file system.
For CVS stores the version info within the file ("*.ext,v"), deleting this deletes also the version info.

Project Plan icon not working

The little icon found on the left that allows you to access your project plan is not working for one of my project managers, who is the owner of that specific project. However in the Admin's view they are able to access it by clicking that button.
Any thoughts why?

The issue occurs only for 1 PM? Is the icon working for this PM with another view? Can the PM try on another machine? When you say that it doesn't work, do you have any error message or just nothing happens? Have you tried refreshing IE deleting the cache
(press CTRL F5)?

Design view not working after importing project from Flex Builder

After importing a project from Flex Builder to Flash Builder I am no longer able to see anything in the design view. I am using the flex 4.5 sdk.
Any idea how I can get this design view working? I heard it could have something to do with the metadata directory but am slightly lost here?...

Could you please provide more information as to what exactly are you importing. Also does Design View not lauch at all or does it give errors. Would it be possible for you to share the logs.
Meanwhile you can try cleaning the workspace and importing again to see if that solves the issue.

Import via Drag & Drop not working with LR CC (after Update from 5.7)

I always imported my pictures by just dragging them in the Windows Explorer and dropping them to the Lightroom Gallery tab.
This does not work with LR CC anymore.
The longer way via "Import" works fine.
Any suggestions?

With Gallery i meant Library, my mistake (wrong translation, i am using the german version).
What works with your setup doesn't work with mine.

SWF import to AE suddenly not working. HELP! Urgent!

I have been importing SWF's fine in to AE CS5 then all of a sudden, it seems to have stopped allowing imports.
Existing swf's remain in the project folder but show as missing.
If I try to import a new swf, even into a new project, it is greyed out and there is no file format
I have all the latest updates to AE cs5 (10.0.1) and flash etc it's on OSX 10.6 and it's been working since then - just seemed to have stopped.
I have installed some plugins and scripts but again was all working before and After.
Tried unistalling and reinstalling
Help!? BIg important project. Dealine looms!

I can't even begin to explain how wrong you are. Flash IS a vector format and it's without doubt the best way to import animations to AE.
If you are exporting videos from Flash you have lost: built in transparency, Tiny file sizes, and infinite scalability
I know that there have been problems in the past but CS5 flash and AE really does work seemlessly together.
My VERY annoying problem came from an importer script that had an error in it which changed the Adobe importer.
The solution...

Unistall and reinstall - replacing the broken importer and never using the dodgy script again...
