    Thank you,

I need to imp table CM_BEN from yesterdays EXP, for that i had created temp table structure same as CM_BEN i.e; cm_beneficiaries_bk and used the command
    C:\oracle9i\ora92\bin\imp system/****@connstrng file=Jun17.dmp log=Jun17_imp.log fromuser=sa touser=sa tables=cm_beneficiaries_bk
    Also
    C:\oracle9i\ora92\bin\imp system/****@connstrng file=Jun17.dmp log=Jun17_imp.log fromuser=sa touser=sa tables=cm_beneficiaries_bk ignore=yif this dump is DATA PUMP, then you can use REMAP_TABLE.
Instead of that import the table CM_BENEFICIARIES_BK, then create a new table "CM_BEN" form "CM_BENEFICIARIES_BK" as
create table CM_BEN as select from CM_BENEFICIARIES_BK;*

  • Error importing a table from DB2 in OBI 10g

    Hello,
I am trying to import a table from DB2, but I have the following issue:
*[nQSError: 16001] ODBC error state: S1000 code: 29986 message: [IBM][Controlador ODBC de iSeries Access][DB2 UDB]SQL0901 - Error del sistema SQL..*
    Steps I have done are:
    1) Create System DSN
    Driver: iSeries Access ODBC Driver
    2) Create a new database
Database souce definition = Database DB2/AS400
    3) Create a new connection pool -->
    Call interface: DB2 CLI (Unicode)
Datasource name: System name (specified in the System DSN)
I have tested with System DSN name too
    Username: username DB
    Password: pwd DB
    c) Import table: File --> Import --> from Database
Connection Type = ODBC 3.5 and I select the System DSN created
I am working with OBI 10g (10.1.3.2.1) in Windows Server 2003 Enterprise and the DB2 is OS400 V5R4.
    Thank you and regards,
    Mónica.

    Hi,
I have installed the DB2 client and from Access with the same ODBC is possible to import tables, but I don't understand why I can't do this operation from Administration Tool.
Do you know how can I test the ODBC? Or if it is possible to see the error with more details (any log file)? I have tested a lot of things, but I can't solve the issue.
The PATH system variable is right:
    D:\oracle\bise1\bi\server\Bin;D:\oracle\bise1\bi\web\bin;D:\oracle\bise1\bi\web\catalogmanager;D:\oracle\bise1\bi\SQLAnywhere;D:\oracle\bise1\jdk\bin;D:\oracle\bise1\db\bin;D:\oracle\bise1\owb\bin;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;C:\TOOLS;C:\PROGRA~1\IBM\CLIENT~1\Shared;C:\PROGRA~1\IBM\CLIENT~1;C:\PROGRA~1\IBM\CLIENT~1\Emulator;
And in the path that it is mentioned in the error I can find the dll.
Are being doing any wrong step to import a table?
    Thank you and regards,
    Mónica.

  • How to import a table from another database using DB toolset.

    Hello All
I would like to import a table from one database to another using DB toolbox.
I do not want to import all data to LV and then save them to another database. Instead I would prefer to use SQL syntax.
Does anobody know how to write SQL command to import whole table from one database to another?
I have found in some SQL manual that INSERT INTO should work, but JET4 returns an error that table (e.g. c:\mydatabase\table1) can not be found.
    Thanks in advance

  • OMBPLUS - How to import a table from the database

I have a table that is out of sync with its database definition. In OWB, I would go to the Tables section and select Import and re-import the file in. How do I script this in OMBPLUS.

If I do the OMBRETRIVE TABLE 'CUSTOMER' GET COLUMNS then all I get is a list of columns displayed in OMBPLUS. Doing a OMBCOMMIT does not modify the table in the OWB repository. It still does not have the new columns.
Also, when I import a table from the GUI, I UNCHECK the two advanced options of: 'Preserve repository added constraints' and 'Preserve repository added columns'. I also get to select from the GUI I get to choose how many levels of foreign key constraints to retreive. How do I specify these in the OMBPLUS script as well.

  • How to export and import dependent tables from 2 different schema

I have a setup where schema1 has table 1 and schema 2 has table2. And table 1 from schema1 depends upon table 2 from schema 2.
I would like to export and import these tables only and not any other tables from these 2 schemas with all information like grants, constraints.
Also will there be same method for Oracle 10g R1,R2 and Oracle 11G.

Looking at this For table mode it says
Also, as in schema exports, cross-schema references are not exported
    Not sure what this means.
As I am interested in only 2 tables I think I need to use table mode. But if I try to run export with both tables names, it says table mode support only one schema at a time. Not sure then How would the constraints would get exported in that case.
