Importing scroll

hello,
I have created (with loads of help of the forum) a scroll mcl
called "scroll forum.swf" when I 'm importing the file into my main
time line into an empty mcl (holder2) the scroll effect disapear!!!
and with it all the properties given. What can I do??
I had a similar problem of losing button usability when
importing external swf but I have resolved using _level0 target but
in this scroll file I do no know where to place the code..

Address Book, importing text tab file, custom fields not there

Searched thru all past posts. Found some that are close but not what I am trying to do.
Open Address Book, go into Preferences, select Template and under the Names field (friend, assistant, father, etc) I add a custom field called "Keyword".
I also add two more custom fields in the Phone area called "Work 3" and "Work 4". There are other custom fields I need but I want to keep this short.
Quit Address Book then relaunch. Add a new contact and the new custom fields, Keyword, Work 3 and Work 4 are there. All good so far.
I have a Now Contact file with about 800 contacts in it. I export all fields as a Text file, Tab delimited. No problems there. With Address Book launched, select Import, pick the text file, leave Text Encoding on Automatic and click Open.
The window that shows the fields for Address Book and fields for the text file side by side opens. This is where you match up the correct fields for importing. If I go to one of the fields from the text file that I created a custom field for, click under the Address Book heading on the Do not import, scroll thru the Apple choices of fields, none of the custom fields show up. Only the original Apple ones are there. Why does Apple let you create them in the Template area but not have them available for importing?
That is my problem.
Adding new contacts as I get them, is fine. Importing 800 contacts with these custom fields is not possible.
I could map them to go to the Notes field along with actual notes but that is inelegant. The custom fields are there, why can't we use them to their full potential.
This appears to be a bug to me. Let me know what you think.

Thanks, but the problem is not importing to AddressBook, it is exporting. I did discover from another that I can export very easily to a Numbers spreedsheet. It is exceptionally simple. But it will not export custom fields. Someone said that is because of a vcard standard. My custom fields are just "name" fields that I have labeled differently. But Numbers does not support the name (it only takes the name of the card).

While most likely not of interest to you, Spotlight can also tell you where the files it finds are located
Hover the mouse pointer over the name, and press Command-Option and the path to the file will be displayed.
As for opening a terminal session in the directory where a file is located, there is Applescripts that do just that as well as specific features in Lion/Mountain Lion terminal:

Mousepad won't scroll in Firefox

I know this question has been asked before by others, but none of the threads had a working answer and are unlikely to invite new ones as they are slightly old now.
My Vaio touchpad/mousepad won't scroll in Firefox. It works in every other program (pdfs, Internet Explorer etc) and if a pdf is open as a webpage in Firefox, that will scroll, but normal webpages won't. The wheel on a USB mouse works fine, it's just the scroll function on the touchpad.
I've updated the computer, checked for driver updates, uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, turned the computer on and off, cleared the cache etc. and pretty much everything I can think of or have seen in these forums and elsewhere, but nothing is working.

I have a dell XPS laptop with a synaptics touchpad and I have the same problem. The weird thing is that, unlike for many who have posted about this problem, scrolling did not stop working as soon as I updated to firefox 8. It was fine for a few weeks, maybe well over a month, and then one day, bam!, scrolling just died.
I also noticed something bizarre: scrolling works for the first few seconds after restarting firefox while restored tabs are still loading. As soon as firefox has fully booted, scrolling stops working. This made me think that it's a conflict with one of the add-ons i have running, but disabling them all has not changed anything. I have not yet tried fully removing all of them yet. For now, my best solution is to go back to 3.6. why fix something that works, right?
Anyway, given the number of users who have reported this problem and given how important scrolling is in the way we use the web and our computers in general, the fact that there is still no solution makes the developers over there at Mozilla look quite pathetic. It's kind of as if Ford build a car whose steering wheel can't turn and couldn't figure out why for months and months.

How to use costum scroll localy

You may have already resolved this? but I just realised you may have had the same problem as myself.
1. Connect your iPhone
2. Go to iTunes and click on your iPhone icon in the left hand panel
3. Click Sync tab (you will see sync contacts, mail accounts etc.)
4. IMPORTANT scroll down the page as the sync bookmarks is hidden!

Itunes XML Location String

Hi Dudes and Dudettes,
I've recently been on a mission to convert all of my Winamp playlists to iTunes so I can keep them all in the same order for my iPhone (I'm extremely particular about how my playlists and filenames work, but that's a different story).
So, there is no way for me to import all playlists at once. I can import the folder of my playlists, which will import all the tracks, but will not retain the actual playlist names (which I need).
I can drag and drop each individual playlist into the library/playlists window, but to drag, drop, click to save list name, wait for tracks to import, scroll to the top of the window, rinse, repeat for my some 500+ playlists, is unbelievably time consuming.
My way around this all is to use PHP to read each m3u, get the mp3 path, and and then place each track into the itunes xml format for importing.
I have everything correct, EXCEPT the '<key>Location</key><string>file://localhost/D:/Mp3's/Artist%20-%20Album/01%20-%20Artist%20-%20TrackName.mp3</string>' part.
I understand the above format, and that certain characters must be converted.
For this, I am using htmlentities($location_string,null,'UTF-8') to convert the string, and rawurlencode($location_string) to get close to what it is supposed to be. But this converts slashes and apostrophes and commas (which I've noticed after looking at what XML iTunes spits out, that these are not encoded characters at all). I also have tracks with other characters (i.e. Rammstein - Völkerball [Live In Nimes]).
So, after all of that explanation (and if you haven't fallen asleep yet) my question is, does any guru know what characters are allowed in the location string and what characters aren't?

One for each artist/album is correct.
And yeah.... while I'm particular about file names, not everything has album names or track numbers in id3, and if its from a compilation, it usually has different album names.

Playhead info for imported video clips is static/constant in iMovie 9 as I scroll over the clips. Is it possible to make it display correct info?

HI, I have been importing videos clips from a SD card to iMovie 09. These clips are analyzed for animal behavior and the timing information for a specific event is critical for proper analyses. Most of the times, the imported clips display correct timing information for a given frame as I scroll over the clips. However, sometimes, some clips show a static or constant timestamp for all the frames in a clip and the timing information doesn't change in the playhead as I scroll over different frames.
For such clips, I was wondering if it's possible to display correct timing information for the frames, and how? Since I only need frame timing info relative to the starting point, I am open to a solution that involves readjusting starting timestamp.

Several ways to do this.
I would scrub to the in point of the audio you want to change, then drag all the way back to the beginning of the clip. Then EDIT/SPLIT CLIP or right-click/Split Clip. Then go to the out point of the audio clip and drag to the right to the end of the clip. Then Edit/Split Clip. The clip in the middle should have your 25 minutes of audio.

Last photos I imported show only titles, no photos. As I scroll down I see them appear

The last roll of photos I imported don't display. As I scroll down the page I see the bottoms of them but they disappear. Only the titles & IMGP # displays.

I copied the photos from my backup folder and entered them into iPhoto then deleted the gray images shown from the first download. Now the photos show. Don't know what went wrong the first time. They were there for a few days then disappeared. Thanks for you response.

Problem with importing a scrolling file

Hello, I hope you could help me because i am really stuck
into it:
I have a scroll file, taken from a tutorial, which is linked
to a class. After having customized my file I did try it and it
works fine. The problem is starting when I try to import this file
to an empty MCL in my website. When I have imported all the
elements they do not respond and act like single pieces (es. the
scroll bar is detached from the scroller). What can I do? I am
attaching all the codes and I hope you can help me .
Googling around i found the element that I think it is the
reason I cannot import a proper classed swf.
The function is Event.ADDED_TO_STAGE. the only major thing is
that I do not know how to change my loader class to contain this
missing bit.

Can I import CSS & Javascript to Parallax Scrolling?

Hi
I have an example of Parallax Scrolling which gives the image the illustion of colour change on each slide. A simple example is shown here:

I have tried to achieve this using basic Parallax Scrolling in Muse, but is does not work as effectively as the sample. Another example is shown here:

I asked the developer how he achieved this and he said they used simple CSS and Javascript. I have tried putting the CSS Code and the Javascript code into muse - but it doesn't work. Is it possible to put code (other than Google maps) into muse to get the above effect?
I would be most grateful if anyone can help with this - I am sure it must be possible in Muse.

Yes you can given that your source and target workspace have same name & id, basically you can export/import any files (images, css and static files)
You can export individual static files and they can be imported only through SQL*PLUS

Batch DPS Article Import Breaks Smooth Scrolling Pages

When will the batch "import" support the ability to import ENTIRE folio's that contain both "snap-to" and "smooth-scrolling" pages?
Currently one must add stacks indiviually if they wish to have smooth scrolling stacks incorporated into thier folio.

Your absolutely right about that! And that's a great thought. Don't know why i didn't think of it.
On the sidecar.xml note however:
Besides the third-party web site that generates the sidecar file for folks, is there anything in the works to allow users to simply export the metadata directly from the Producer:Editor in the DPS Dashboard? Many users are not aware of the third-party website and with the renditions and iPad3 coming into full swing I believe it would help to ensure that any metadata that was entered manually gets matched to the rendition folio.
For users that are intimidated by xml and are too lazy to find the xml generator web-site. The ability to get at that metadata would be a nice feature to have for editorial and the like.

Scrolling solution needed for pdf imported to Cp 8 Responsive on the iPad

Using Cp 8, Responsive Projects, I imported a pdf (through the library import button) and placed it on a slide. When published (for devices), the pdf can be viewed on a computer and an iPad (if the Acrobat Reader app is installed). However, it can only be scrolled on the computer (a PC). The iPad just displays the first page.
Does it need a scrolling button or slider for the iPad? Does anyone have a solution for such? Russ_E offered a solution for the TOC. Would something similar work to view a pdf on the iPad?

Set smooth scrolling bug when importing

Hi,
if I import an HTML article and I set smooth scrolling (here) to both, it will not be activated. I have to enter the article properties a second time and set smooth scrolling again. I'm using the latest v29 tools in InDesign CC. Can anyone confirm this bug?

Are you viewing this from the Folio Overlays panel, or the Folio Builder? I get this when viewing in
the Overlays panel, as its being shown out of context to your actual folio, so you get the entire page
size with no scrolling.

There are two features that I liked in iPhoto that I'm not seeing in Aperture 3. One is that when scrolling through my photos, in iPhoto the date of the pictures currently visible would show up, which was very nice for figuring out where you were in the photo stream. The other is that one of the "smart albums" in iPhoto was "last import"; is there a way to create a "last import" album in A3? I thought that "sessions" would be the answer, but it looks like that creates an album for a specific date.

The date HUD-while-scrolling is a nice feature in iPhoto. Aperture doesn't have it. You can group Projects while browsing the Project view by year (click the grouping icon on the tool strip). I missed this too when I moved my Library from iPhoto, but not having it hasn't slowed me at all.

Yep. Also not in Aperture. Two work-arounds. Select the one which gets you closest to what you want.
- Make a Smart Album which filters by "In the last 1/2/4 day/week/month". Do this by adding the Rule "Date→Is in the last→1→Week". You can specify a different number and duration unit. Note that this goes by the date of the photo, not the date of the import.
- Add "Import Session" to your List view metadata. Once it is added, you can click the column to sort by "Import Session" or select "Import Session" from the drop-down list. Once added, you can return to Browser view. That's been useful for me, and is the closest I've been able to get to "Last Import".
