Importing WSDL into Siebel Server

Hi,
While I try to import WSDL into Siebel server, it is giving following error. Any inputs on this to be appreciated.
Errors during processing:
There are no web service definitions to be generated.(SBL-EAI-04340)
Following are warnings generated in the process:
Service 'AsyncBPELProcessCallbackService' can not be imported, because none of its ports could be imported.(SBL-EAI-04333)
Port 'AsyncBPELProcessCallbackPort' can not be imported. The binding element 'http://xmlns.oracle.com/AsyncBPELProcess:AsyncBPELProcessCallbackBinding' is invalid.

.The SoapOperation %1 does not have either an input or output SoapBody child.

1. Insert error, column 7 (‘CallTime’, DBTYPE_DBTIMESTAMP), status 6: Data overflow.
    Invalid character value for cast specification.
Here is an example of an entry in one of the 'Calltime' rows:
7:45:30PM.
This is a date/time field in Access.
The above error shows that the source time format is unable to store in the destination column. If the destination datatype is datetime/time then the data "7:45:30PM" is not a correct format. A blank space is missing,
it should be "7:45:30 PM".

    Are you attempting to import into a newly made table or into an existing table? It looks like it's trying to insert data where it cannot be inserted (invalid column or lack of data size in your column).
    Try the following:
    1). In your excel sheet, highlight the whole sheet and make sure the cells are in 'text' form and try re-importing
    2). save the document as ms dos TEXT and import as a text document.
    3). double check your columns are correct for the data, for example if you have a column that has a string of 100 characters and your column is 'NvarChar(90)' - that might cause the error? Or just correct data type in your column
    3). If that doesn't work and you're inserting into a new table, try importing it as string first and writing a query to insert columns that should be float/integer or whatever. You may want to convert float texts to a 'bigint' first rather than string
    > float as that can cause problems if I remember correctly.

  • "Unable to log URL" error when importing WSDL into Web Service connection

    Hello Experts
    I'm using Xcelsius Engage and I'd like to use Web Service connection.
    I've developed my own Web service (that is using 2 other web service inside it).
    and now I'm trying to import it into the Xcelsius (connection --> Web service connection).
    And I get the follwoing error:
    "Unable to log URL"
    When I browse to my wsdl file in IE the file is loaded with no problem.
    When trying to import other URLs it also works fine (for example: http://www.xignite.com/xFinancials.asmx?wsdl)
    Any idea?
    Thanks,
    Miki

    Hi Matt
    Thanks a lot!!!
    Indeed the solution was in the follwoing thread:
    VB.net code to create XML
    Parsing the query result fixed the problem.
    For others who might have the same problem:
    Here's a working web service (C# code, for vb code follow the link to the thread above):
    public Service () {
        public struct QueryResult
          public string SlpName;
          public string Commission;
        [WebMethod]
      public QueryResult[] RunQuery()
          // Open Connection - Query Data from DB table - Close connection
          SqlConnection connection = new SqlConnection("Data Source=(local);Integrated Security=SSPI;Initial Catalog=SBODemoUS");
          SqlDataAdapter adapter = new SqlDataAdapter(
            "SELECT SlpName, Commission FROM OSLP", connection);
          DataTable DT_QryResult = new DataTable();
          adapter.Fill(DT_QryResult);
          connection.Close();
          // Parse data to be forward to Xcelsius
          QueryResult[] QryRes = null;
          QryRes = new QueryResult[DT_QryResult.Rows.Count];
          int i=0;
          foreach (DataRow row in DT_QryResult.Rows)
            QryRes<i>.SlpName = row["SlpName"].ToString();
            QryRes<i>.Commission = row["commission"].ToString();
            i++;
          return QryRes;

  • Restrictions for importing WSDL into PI 7.0

    Hello all-
    We have couple of web services mediated through PI 7.0. The WSDL for these services are designed outside and we would like to import them to PI  (Inside-out approach).  Need help on couple of things
    1.Is there any design constraints we need to consider while designing the WSDL ( other than interoperability) ?
    2.Is there any specific restrictions on method names? Is it true that (One PI expert told me) the original method names mentioned in the WSDL will be over written by PI (surprising to me)
    Thanks in advance
    Rajeev

    Hi Rajeev
    1.Is there any design constraints we need to consider while designing the WSDL ( other than interoperability) ?
    2.Is there any specific restrictions on method names? Is it true that (One PI expert told me) the original method names mentioned in the WSDL will be over written by PI (surprising to me)
    1. There is no such constrain while designing the WSDL just take care about the field values, min occur, max occur etc as per requirement. With this if its going to be Sync or Async based on that request and response should come in WSDL.
    2. Original method and names are not over written by XI. While you import WSDL to XI Pi will also generate WSDL so you will see some change. But the actual data to be used is one you bring in the external definition.
    Thanks

  • Import WSDL into Flash Builder 4 (Flex 4)

    Our Flex 3 applications use the File \ Import \ Web Services (WSDL) feature to import a WSDL directly into our source code.
    With Flash Builder 4, how do we import a WSDL directly into our source code?
    Thanks,
    Bruce

    With Flex Builder 3 I used to import Web services directly from my file system, is that possible any more?
    Thanks,

  • Import WSDL into JDeveloper project

    I am new to JDeveloper, how do you import your WSDL file such that it creates sub classes for every method in your WSDL file?
    thanks

    I had the problem with JDev (9.0.4) when trying to generate server side classes from a homemade wsdl which took a complex type as a parameter. The only thing I got from JDeveloper was a class receiving an Element. Which pretty much means you have to do the work yourself.
    Quite disappointing....!
    I see to possibilities:
    1) If you are stuck with 9.0.4 you will have to parse to and from xml yourself. For this you can use jax-b which is a Sun API used to create classes for a given XML Schema to parse and validate XML. You have some work creating the classes, but it runs very fast when you have generated the classes.
    2) You use the topdown approach described on OTN. http://www.oracle.com/technology/sample_code/tech/java/codesnippet/webservices/doc-lit/index.html
    I think this is the example for OC4J (9.0.4). There is a new and improved version of the tool (wsa.jar) with the new OC4J (10.1.3)
    Have fun......and I am sure that Oracle quite soon will deliver the functionality directly from JDev....:-)

    Hi,
    I diagnose the problem, the problem with the name space length.
    Orginal NameSpace: <i>urn:xEM_MeasurementImportWsd/xEM_MeasurementImportVi/document</i>
    Modified NameSpace: <i>urn:xEM_MeasurementImportWsd/xEM_MeasurementImportVi/documen</i>
    The <b>External Definitions</b> is recognizing only 60 characters namespace. If the namespace exceed 60 characters it is not showing any messages in the messages tab.
    Will make any problem to call the WebService from XI since we are changing the original namespace in the WSDL and imported into XI.
    How can we overcome this problem, is it a limitation.
    Thanks

    Hi  Rajni,
    Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel assembly provides class to read excel file data, in your web part solution, reference the assembly, and following blog contains samples about how to read the excel file data,
    and import it to SQL  database.
    1.Create a Visual Web Part Project:Create
    Visual Web Parts in SharePoint 2010
    2.Read the excel workbook by using SPFile class:

  • Will BusinessView + BIAR from XIr2 import directly into 2008 Server?

    Customer is looking to deploy on Windows Server 2008 and wants to use Crystal Server 2008.  Can they import the Business View and BIAR files from an XIr2 installation or do the individual reports need to be upgraded first?  Note that they will not have an existing XIr2 server - just the Business View and BIAR files that are from a XIr2 server.

    No one - yes - if you're excluding any but the Crystal Reports Designer people hanging out in this forum.
    You might try over at Business Objects -> BusinessObjects Enterprise Admin forum for migration questions.

  • What is the best protocol to import data into sqlserver using an SSIS Package?

    Im trying to import data into SQL Server from EXCEL with an SSIS package. In my data flow I am using "Excel Source" object and an "OLE DB Command" object.  Im getting the following error message, "...Excel Connection Manager"
    is an incorrect type....."  May someone explain why I get this and point me in the right direction in choosing the proper source for my package so I can complete my task.  Thanks.

    Hi jsorrisone,
    The data type mismatch issue is a common issue when using Excel Source in SSIS. The Excel driver recognizes only a limited set of data types. The following section of the document
    Excel Source should point you in the right direction:
    The Excel driver recognizes only a limited set of data types. For example, all numeric columns are interpreted as doubles (DT_R8), and all string columns (other than memo columns) are interpreted as 255-character Unicode strings (DT_WSTR). Integration
    Services maps the Excel data types as follows:
    Numeric – double-precision float (DT_R8)
    Currency – currency (DT_CY)
    Boolean – Boolean (DT_BOOL)
    Date/time – datetime (DT_DATE)
    String – Unicode string, length 255 (DT_WSTR)
    Memo – Unicode text stream (DT_NTEXT)
    Integration Services does not implicitly convert data types. As a result, you may need to use Derived Column or Data Conversion transformations to convert Excel data explicitly before loading it into a non-Excel destination, or to convert non-Excel data
    before loading it into an Excel destination. In this case, it may be useful to create the initial package by using the Import and Export Wizard, which configures the necessary conversions for you. Some examples of the conversions that may be required include
    the following:
    Conversion between Unicode Excel string columns and non-Unicode string columns with specific codepages
    Conversion between 255-character Excel string columns and string columns of different lengths
    Conversion between double-precision Excel numeric columns and numeric columns of other types
    If you need further help, post the complete error message as well as the data nature in your Excel source file for further analysis.

  • Possible to retrieve Hyperion data directly into SQL Server?

    Currently we retrieve data into Excel spreadsheets and then often import it into SQL Server. It would simplify things if it was possible to call HPVAL from within SQL.
    Is anyone doing this?
    Any suggestions on where to research this further?
    Thx.

    Hello Amith,
    Have a look at the following from the documentation.
    SET DATAEXPORTOPTIONS
      DataExportRelationalFile ON | OFF;
    DataExportRelationalFile ON | OFF
      ON—The output text export file is formatted for import to a relational database.
    For direct export to a relational database using ODBC:
    DATAEXPORT "DSN" "dsnName" "tableName" "userName" "password"
    I hope this helps.

  • Importing WSDL (created in Siebel)

    Dear ODI Gurus,
    I am working on invoking a web service from ODI and for that I am following the help on URL: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/integrate.1111/e12643/web_services.htm#ODIDG481
    But I am unable to import the WSDL file of web service before I can actually work on it.
    Siebel gives me a calling URL for the web service (e.g. http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/eai_enu/start.swe?SWEExtSource=WebService&SWEExtCmd=Execute&username=WSADMIN&password=ADM123) and not a URL to import the WSDL that ODI expects (e.g. http://host:8080/services/WSCustomer?wsdl)
    I have known the direct WSDL import method before working on ODI. i.e. browsing for the WSDL and importing the WSDL file. But in this scenario, apparently we have to import it through a URL.
    Would you guys please help how to import WSDL in ODI.

    Hi Ahsan,
    You can directly copy WSDL URL and paste it in OdiinvokeWebservice tool (readymade tool) on ODI.
    before doing it, please copy same WSDL URL and paste it on IE and check whether the application server is up and running fine.
    once it fine, do what I said above.
    Please let me know exact your requirement.
    Thanks,
    Phani

  • Error in IB (When trying to import objects into ESR from SLD or from server

    Hi Experts,
    We are facing an error with the Integration builder recently. When we open Enterprise Services Repository of PI 7.1, we are able to see the GUI with objects perfectly. When we try to import an object into the repository from the server ( In ESR, choose Tools -> Import Design objects -> From Server), we are thrown with an exception...
    Error when exectuting search (QUERY_ERROR)
    & java.lang.NullPointerException
    The server throws the above two exceptions. I have pasted the logs of the error when trying to import an object from the server and also from the sld, below.
    Have any of you experieced the issue? Request you to please check this out and suggest what the problem could be. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Rajeev,
    Thanks for your inputs. I myself am a basis guy. I ve already checked all the authorizations given to the user - PISUPER, and have found it to be fine. Can't understand why this security issue crops up still. anyways, i m getting this error when trying to import an object from the server. If i try to create a new object and during the process, try to import the SCV from SLD, i m facing with an error again, of a different sort. The log says...

  • Error importing text file into SQL Server when last column is null

    Hello all. Happy holidays!
    I'm trying to import a text file into a SQL Server table, and I get the error below when it gets to a row (row 264) that has null in the last column. I'm guessing the null jumbles up the delimiters somehow. The nulls are not errors, and I need to import
    them into the table with the rest of the rows. Any idea how I can do that?
    Thanks!

    WeeLass

    Hi WeeLass,
    The error that” Data conversion failed. The data conversion for column "XYZ" returned status value 2 and status text "The value could not be converted because of a potential loss of data.".” is generally error message, and the error indicates
    that there is data type mismatch issue between the input columns and the output columns.
    Based on your description, the issue is that you trying to convert a column contains empty value from string to integer data type for the output column "XYZ" in Flat File Source [1]. Please note that we cannot type an empty value as integer data
    type column value, so the error occurs.
    To fix this issue, just as you did, we should convert the data type for the output column "XYZ" in Flat File Source [1] back to DT_WSTR or DT_STR, then use a derived column task to replace the current column (UBPKE542). But the expression should
    be like below:
    LEN(TRIM(UBPKE542)) > 0 ? (DT_I8)UBPKE542 : NULL(DT_I8)
    In this way, the data type of the column in SQL table would be int, and the empty value would be replaced with NULL.
    If there are any other questions, please feel free to ask.
    Thanks,
