In g-mail since I downloaded 4.0 I can not click on my contacts to send a email. I have to type in their addy
Then either composing mail, or wanting to forward an email. the contact window opens, but if i click on a contact nothing happens. I have to go back to the "To" area and type in the name.

Since I downloaded Firefox 4, I can't see attachments in my Yahoo mail. This is not a problem of Yahoo, because with Internet Explorer works fine. What is the problem?Ok, now they are showing. I restarted my computer again and they are showing now.

Anybody had an issues with mail since upgrading to mountain lion? Can't get emails from one account, tried deleting and recreating but to no avail. Set up a new user and it works fine. Macbook pro 13" mid 2010 model.

Since I downloaded Maverick, I cannot find my External Hard Drive in the "Finder" area. I have to unplug all the time the hard drive to be recognized by my iMac. How can I fix this problem? Thank You.
Check Finderr->Preferences->General and ensure that HDs are selected for display. If so and they still don't, Reset the NVRAM/PRAM and Reset the SMC, and see if that does the trick.

More details on your upgrade would help. For example, did you upgrade to Mavericks from Snow Leopard or did you simply upgrade from 10.9.0 to 10.9.1. -
in Firefox can not see the Downloads window, in the jump in the boot to be seen - the download speed
Downloaded much and now can not see how to fix it?I hate the new downloads-in-a-tab scheme. This was an unnecessary change in my book (if it aint broke, don't "fix it").
So in order to get it back, I performed the about:config browser.download.useToolkitUI change, but now all I get is a blank download window that pops up every time I download something.
Is there something else that I need to do? I've checked the change and it was saved, but it didn't resolve my issue as much as it just caused me a new issue. -
My PC's OS is 'MS Windows Vista Home Premium'. As my initil question states: When downloading, after the download completes, I can not see, run, nor access the file in it's designated folder. The download only appears in the "Downloads" window and the only "Right Click" options permitted are to "Remove From List", "Select All", & "Copy Download Link" I also can not double click to run it. What's blocking it?
I have a similar problem when accessing .zip files that are attachments to my emails. Here, however, I can place the file in a designated folder, however, the .zip file and it's compressed content files are file-typed as "FireFox Document" and I get permissions errors when running an unzip tool.
Why are my download files being quarantined ??? Is there a security setting option I need to change???
To get around this, I'm using IE to download and install these files, but switching back & forth between FireFox & IE is a real pain.It's your anti-virus not working correctly while scanning. I take it you tried using the "right click" menu? That doesn't seem to work, as you noted, but, you should be able to paste text by pressing your CTRL key and while holding it down, press the "V" letter key.
CTRL + C = COPY
CTRL + X = CUT
CTRL + V = PASTE

I am using a MacBook Air, OS X ver 10.9.4, mail ver 7.3. Intermittently I can not open individual mails when double clicking on them. I must go out of mail and back in before mail will open.
