In lab view from RS-232 serial port we want to read and diplay that value

In lab VIEW 8.0,we want to read some data values via
RS-232, how to read those values, we tried with visa read for read, but that is not displaying the buffer values.

3. Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.

Does anyone know the best way to activate the serial port on a PC from a html page?
Can this be done using Servlets? and if so could somebody give me a piece of sample code.
JoeThe webpage part can be whatever you want. Send a message from the client (webpage, app, etc.) to activate the port by http post/get with form parameters or xml. You can use the Java Serial APIs on the server to activate the Serial port on the server. Or you can use something like SerialPort - http://www.serialio.com.

I would like to use my aplication, i use a pic 16f84, in my vi application i modify the asm code, and save it. LAter i need to use mplab to compile to hex and use icprog to pass to the pic by serial port...
Is possible do all on labview???.
Or maybe call the mplab directly to open and convert to hex file, and later call the icprog to program the pic.. without use this programs. Directly with commands do it and close the programs...

You certainly could write an assembler for the pic code in LV. I wrote an assembler for the old 6502 processor in LV4. The project got cancelled before everything was finished, but the concept is valid. It is a lot of work, parsing strings and tracking all the addressing modes, etc.
Whether it is worth the trouble as opposed to using the existing tools is something you will have to decide.
If the other software can be called from a command line, the system Exe.VI might be useful.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

I've got the same issue and I want to use Preview to read pdfs on Safari. At some point I had Acrobat Reader installed, but deleted it and everything associated with it. However no matter what, I get: "Before launching pdf documents in this browser you must launch Adobe Reader and accept the end user license agreement, then quit and relaunch the browser."
This means I am forced to use Reader, when I don't want to. There seems no way to default to Preview to read pdfs on Safari, even after deleting Adobe Reader completely.
Anyone have a clue how to fix this? -

You can open, read, and even write excel files (if you write a file with extension .xls, windows will interpret it as an excel file be default) using the File I/O VIs in LabVIEW. To extract the data, all you really need to realize is that spreadsheets programs like excel store data with the following basic rules:
1. the entire spreadsheet is really just a large string - to read them, you just have to know the data you read is stored based on rules 2 and 3; to write them you just have to conform to rules 2 and 3.
2. cells in a given row are delimited by tabs (usually by default) and sometimes commas (but usually only if you set this specifically in the spreadsheet program)
3. rows are delimited by end of line characters, which will usually be one carriage return and one linefeed character in that order on windows.
In fact, for writing spreadsheet strings (which can be opened in excel) from LabVIEW, check out the Array to Spreadsheet String and Spreadsheet String to Array functions in the String Palette. That is, if you imagine the excel spreadsheet as a 2D array, those functions will essentially convert between the large string, and a 2D array in LabVIEW containing the values you would see in excel's corresponding cells.
I have attached a program that will use the array to spreadsheet string function to write an excel file containing those values - it will be named test.xls and should be on your C: drive directly. A good exercise to get started would be to write a VI using similar (some inverse) functions to read that string, and convert it back to an array.

I've been stuck with this problem for weeks and really need some help. I've been searching a lot but I can't find a proper solution.
I am trying to use Labview to plot and display some parameters of a data acquisition system for a project.
The data acquisition system is connected to a computer via serial connection through COM 1 port.
The data acquisition system sends a serial stream of data (ASCII string with baud rate 19200), as shown below (from HyperTerminal),

The serial data stream consists of a time stamp (as 1st data), followed by 16 individual channel data, separated by comma "," and each stream ending in return "\n". Each value of the data ranges from 1 to 6 digits (value of -5000 to 15000).
I have no problem reading this values correctly using HyperTerminal, but I have problem to plot and display individual parameters of this serial string in Labview. I want to save the entire data in a “.csv” file corresponding to all the 16 channels with time stamp and plot each individual channel parameter in a graph with time on X-axis.
I am relatively new to Labview hope I can learn a lot from your help.

Now I had modified the program incorporating1D array for gauge display.....but currently I have a new problem. The program is running updating the file, waveform graph and Gauge very slowly. Approximately once in every 15 seconds 16 data streams are getting updated in a bunch with gauge sticking to the last value rather than indicating real time value.

gets updated in a bunch after 15 seconds, rather than in every second. I thought the problem is with while loop but, i realised there is no delay associated with it..... Can u kindly help me in modifing the program so as it can update the waveform, file data and gauge in real time? (I have attached the modified VI file "suitcase new.vi" and the data gathered after executing the same as in "Trail.txt".)
