In Tab order, I have a comment field showing up as Master

I am fixing the tabbing order in my multi-page dynamic Livecycle Designer form.
On page 3, there is a comments field (there are about 15 instances of this field on the form). It shouldn't, but it does show up as M(aster) and I cannot move it up to where it should be in the order. I've been able to move everything properly except for this one instance. It is not different from any other comments field.
Has anyone seen this? Is there something I can do to fix it?
Thanks!
Slán!
Marla

You need to make sure you use only one spelling for the band, and use Artist, Album Artist, Sort Artist & Sort Album Artist consistently across all their tracks. See my article on Grouping Tracks Into Albums for more.

  • How can I add a line to my CSS file to have all TextArea fields show PRE

    Hi,
    I would like all my TextAreas to show the text as it was inserted into the database... with the new lines, tabs, etc...
    I would like to add a line to my CSS file to do this if possible.
    Thanks, Bill :>)

    Thanks for all the input!
    Fab. You have been talking about a report the whole time... I have been talking about one Database ITEM that is "Displayed as Text".
    In a report the replace() always works in all browsers I believe... and I had no problem.
    BUT, in a text ITEM I wasn't able to get anything to work..
    So, I created a report region and retieved this one column (item) and selected a borderless region and it is fine...
    select     replace(LAST_ACTION,chr(10),'<BR>') "LAST_ACTION"
    from     "HT_ISSUES" "HT_ISSUES"
    where issue_id = :P7_ISSUE_ID
    I still would like to know how to Display as Text - as it is in the DB.
    When have a Dispay as Text Item and I view Source when running the page.. it is correct in the source delivered to the browser but displays all one line.
    (I save a SQL statement to the field)
    [tr>[td  colspan="6" rowspan="6" align="left">[span class="t3NoLabel">Last Action Item[/span> [br>Maintenance Issue - SELECT *
    FROM (SELECT ROWNUM row_num, empno, ename, job, mgr,
    hiredate, sal, comm, deptno
    FROM emp)
    WHERE row_num BETWEEN NVL (:p7_row_from, 1)
    AND NVL (:p7_row_to, 1000000)

  • Guidelines, Form Fields and Tab Order

    I've been fighting a form for about two weeks now with Acrobat 9 Pro. I used guidelines to make sure I could get 2 buttons and a field aligned properly. I have 92 instances of this arrangement. When I reopened the file after I had worked on it for a couple of hours (precisely positioning the guidelines so that I could have consistent field sizes), the guides were gone. What happened. It has now happened three times. I ended up keeping the computer on for 5 days just because I didn't want to lose the guides.
    I'm having a similar problem with the selection for tab order. I have right clicked on the page on the left panel, chosen page properties and set tab order to unspecified. I then reorder the fields in the field panel and save the file. When I open the file again, the tab order is unchecked and the fields are not in the order I left them.
    Does anyone have any idea why I'm losing my sanity with this Acrobat form. I did it in Acrobat because I thought it would be easier than LiveCycle Designer.
    I am duplicating a print form. This means there are 92 places where I have a small button (visible but doesn't print) which executes a JavaScript when pressed to show another button (because it has an icon which will circle the date indicated in a field. I'm thinking I should have the small button on top, aligned on the bottom with the field for the date and the circle icon as the bottom button. How do I get all of these fields and buttons (a mere 276) to go in the right order and stay that way?

    In the left panel, in the Sort drop-down list, you have Tab Order selected, right? In the Tab Order drop-down list, is Order Tabs Manually selected?
    I am not able to get any menu by right-clicking on the page in the left panel. Can anyone tell me, is there another way to view the page properties while in Form Editing? I'm not finding it in any of the regular menus (menu bar) and I'd like to verify the setting Warren mentioned, for troubleshooting my own problems with tab order.
    EDIT -- Of course, as soon as I type it out, I discover the cause. I thought he meant the page in the Form Editing view, but no, I have to open the Pages view and right-click on each page. (Oddly, no options were selected at all. Usually a radio button set will default to the most popular option.) So -- sorry, never mind me.

  • CC Acrobat XI crashing when moving fields in tab order

    Using Mavericks 10.9.2, Acrobat 11.0.06
    When editing a form PDF, if I try to move fields in the tab order (I have tab numbers showing) acrobat crashes.
    I tried the search fix but that does not help.
    Using the windows version of Acrobat through CC works and does not crash with the same file.

    You may have a better chance to get a helpful reply if you ask in the Acrobat forum.

  • Is there a way to simultaneously add text to Comments field for multiple files?

    Is there a way to simultaneously add text to Comments field for multiple files? I know I can use Option+Comman+i to bring up the Inspector window but it doesn't have a Comments field. For example, in iTunes you can select multiple files and change metadata for any field simultaneously and easily yet when it comes to the Comments field in the Finder, this seems to be missing.
    In our production environment, Comments field is important because we place notes about what drive the file originated then when it gets transferred to LTO-6 tape via LTFS, we can quickly trace it in the event we needed to recreate the hard drive. Because tape archiving is linear, we can't store all of the files on the same tape.
    We've tried using Apple's Automator but it too seems to not have a way to batch change text in the Comments field. Any help is appreciated.

    What is "order data"?

  • Id3 tags notes or comments field

    I have MP3 files that contain ID3 tags with Comments fields that contain information. When inserted into iTunes library these show up with a blank Notes field. I don't see a Comments field available, so I assume that Notes is the label given that same field by iTunes. However, the content is not displayed.
    By the way, I access those fields by right clicking on the song, picking Get Info, then going to the Info tab.
    Any clues as to how to get the Notes/Comments field imported or displayed correctly?

    Notes? I don't have a Notes field -- I DO have a Comment field.
    iTunes support for Comments fields is spotty. It does not support the short description field according to the ID3 specification; maybe it uses an older spec -- to be honest I'm not familiar will all of the ID3 specs, since there are several versions and they all have differences.

  • How can I set comments to show all the time?

    I need to have the comment bubbles show on the spreadsheet all the time.  But they are in the background, only showing the little yellow tag on the cells with comments.  The "Hide Comments" in View is not marked.

    Ali,
    That feature is gone in Numbers V3.

  • Setting tab order to form fields contained within a table, Indesign CS6

    I have created a form in ID CS6, and have put all the tabs in order so that people can easily navigate it when filling it in. However, all of the form fields that are contained within tables are not in order, and I can't find any way of putting them in order without changing them in acrobat after I have made the interactive PDF. This means that every time my client makes changes to the form I have to manually put all the fields in order again, which is time consuming. Is anyone able to help?

    This tab order dialogue box is nearly useless if you have a complex form with hundreds of form fields as there is no way to interact with the document when the dialogue is open and clicking on an entry in the list does not highlight the respective field. Furthermore, if you have arrays of radio buttons, or check boxes acting like radio buttons, ie all with the same form field name, there's no way to know which order they should be arranged in since they can't be selected or identified while this dialogue is open!
    That is immensely frustrating to say the least.
    It's quite ridiculous that Adobe hasn't fixed this bug in years and this user interface is shockingly bad.

  • Interactive fields and check boxes don't stay in tab order

    Hi everyone. I'm creating a census form for my parish which contains questions and check boxes. I've laid out the first section of this form (called Household Member 1), then gone back and added all the text fields / check boxes in the order in which I want the user to be able to tab through the form. When I open the Tab Order dialogue box to make sure the user will be able to tab through the form correctly, all the fields / check boxes are in the correct order. Now I need the exact same sections repeated... Household Member 2, Household Member 3, etc. In total, there will be 7 sections on the form that request the exact same information. So after I get the first section the way I want it, I copy and paste, or drag and duplicate the section with all it's fields onto the next page. However, when I check the Tab Order on this subsequent sections, all of my check boxes have moved to the end of the list, requiring me to have to manually move each check box back into its correct position in the section. This happens every time I duplicate the section... I have to manually put the tabs in their correct order. I tried duplicating the entire page rather than just duplicating the section, and the same thing happens. These fixes are tedious to say the least. Any thoughts about how to fix this would be appreciated.
    I'm using CS6 on a Mac with OS 10.8.3

    Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
    If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
    You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the ''Safe mode'' start window.
    You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

  • TAB ORDER OF FORM FIELDS HEEEELLLP PLEASE

    I have a nice form set up in flash. I can enter text in the
    fields, but as I tab from the first field to the next, I end up on
    text in another area of the page before tabbing again to land on
    another field, then when I tab again, I get the next field, tab
    again and leave the form to find text elsewhere, then tab again to
    come back to the form. The order of fields I would like to have is
    name, company, email, phone, message. What I'm getting is name, off
    the form, off the form, company, email, message, phone. Please tell
    me what I'm not doing so the tabs go from one field seamlessly to
    the next. THANK YOU.

    Here is a link to Google Groups for Flash searching for "tab

    Here is a bit of code used for a feedback submit form that
    sets the tab order for all the text boxes and a submit button..
    form.emailBox.tabIndex = 1;
    form.nameBox.tabIndex = 2
    form.addressBox.tabIndex = 3;
    form.cityBox.tabIndex = 4
    form.stateBox.tabIndex = 5;
    form.zipBox.tabIndex = 6;

    form.messageBox.tabIndex = 8;
    submit_btn.tabIndex = 9;

  • How do I exempt a FIELD from the TAB ORDER on a form

    How do I make a field NOT part of the TAB ORDER? In other words, you can Tab around the page but you will never select this object. I want to create a text message that will show on the screen only but is not a field for editing.
    If this is in the "help" and I've missed it, sorry. I couldn't find anything about this.
    Thanks.

    I have a form that I created with the save, print, etc buttons. I created mine as text fields rather then buttons and under Common Properties I have the Form Field set as Visible But Does Not Print, and then of course it's set under Actions to Execute a Menu Command. That does show up in the tab panel, however if you close the form editing and then go through the tab order of the form it skips right over it. The downside to this is that you have to have the Select tool in order to click and there is no mouse over, it's just a cursor like it would be in any other text field.
    This is the only solution that I have found that somehow works for this.

  • Changing Tab order in a completed form without altering or moving fields here and there

    Hi All,
    I've made a complex questionairre and is almost complete. Now the problem is that when I converted this file from Word, many fields were automatically detected and their tab order/ numbering was set by Acrobat itself. The remaining fields in the form (at different places) were created by myself. Now in the tab ordering, the fields automatically detected have priority and the fields I created, are much different from the corresponding fields in tab numbering. For your understanding, I'm including the screenshot too. Please see the tab numbering in the image and after field # 7, there is field # 28, then field # 26, and then field # 29 which is not the way it should be.
    Please advise any solution (if there is any) on your earliest convenience.
    Thanks in anticipation!

    Have you opened the "Pages" navigation panel and looked at the options for the page?
    There should be a series of options like "Row", "Column" or "Unspecified". Select the "Row" and see if the form tabs the way you would like.

  • Hide Tab order number in form fields

    Hi,
    In Acrobat 7.0 Professional (I know it's old), how do you hide the the tab order number in form fields you create? When I type in the form fields I've created, the tab order shows up on screen and on the hardcopy printed document.
    HELP!
    Thanks!

    This is what I'm seeing, however I think we would like to know how to change the order.
    For instance, I have formatted the form to have two columns of data entry: Personal info in column 1, product info in column 2. When the user types their name in column 1, row 1 for "Name" then go to tab down to "Email", it actually tabs right to column 2, row 1, "Product Year." Altering the tab order would fix this problem.
    Thanks!

  • I don't want some fields to be added in the Tab order.

    I dragged a few objects from the OBJECT LIBRARY, say
    1. TextField1
    2. TextField2
    3. TextField3
    4. Text1
    5. ImageField1
    6. Button1
    7. CheckBox1
    8. CheckBox2
    Then I selected 'TAB ORDER' from the 'VIEW MENU' now I want to keep out 'ImageField1' and 'Text1' from the tabbing order.
    Please guide me with clear words, quick replies are expected and will be appreciated.
    Thank You,
    Y.D

    Hello,<br /><br />I presume you dont want the end-user editing these objects either? If thats the case then use static objects instead. Static objects are not included in the tabbing order. Yes, they are identified with a number when you enable the View | Tabbing Order but only to identify them as part of the reading order. Remember, the tabbing order and reading order share the same sequence.<br /><br />See if you can use a static image instead of an image field. I presume Text1 is already a static text object therefore it wont be tabbed into.<br /><br />If you cant replace the image field with a static image then you can use a workaround. You can protect the access to a field. Protected fields do not participate in the tabbing sequence. Designer does not expose this property so you will have to specify it manually. For example:<br /><br />1. Select the image field.<br />2. Go to the XML Source. If it not opened, go to the View menu and select XML Source. It will show up besides the Preview PDF tab.<br />3. The <field> element will be highlighted. Type access=protected. For example:<br /><br />   <field name="ImageField1" y="25.4mm" x="57.15mm" w="25.4mm" h="30.4mm" access="protected"><br /><br />4. Preview the form.<br /><br />Does this help solve your problem?<br /><br />Hélène<br />Adobe Systems

  • Set tab order by clicking fields, how?

    Ive done it before but cant figure out how I got to it.  The presets for "by row", "by column", etc... and arranging using the view on the left panel are not working easily for me and it would just be so much quicker and easier if I could just click the fields in the order I want the tabbing to go.  How do you get to that function?

    Thanks for the caution.  If folks do try this dual install and they get bad results or "buggy" performance, they should uninstall V5. Optionally, keep an old machine running V5 just to set tab order.  Recently, we set row/column mixed tab order on a form with 600 fields. Ten minutes vs hours of tedious work locating and dragging fields up and down the column.
    We did have a conflict last month when we were intalling PitStop on a V5/V9 machine.  PitStop complained about V5 and wouldn't install. We removed V5, installed PitStop and reinstalled V5 and it all works like a charm.
    Down in the trade-shop trenches we have to produce forms efficiently to bid competitively. We experiment with many techniques to save time. Naturally, we cannot expect to get Acrobat support with our violating, multi-version setup, but this is a small sacrifice because our experience with "support" is that they really aren't fluent in deep product usage.
