In the middle of changing my password the Internet crashed. Now I can't find my original apple id. When I enter my date of birth I get an error msg! I'm not receiving any e-mails, I don't know what e-mail address it is so I check them all...NOTHING. I was forced to create a new ID only to discover all the Apps I've paid for on iPod won't sync, songs..same thing. I've created a new apple id. When I type in the old ID a msg says it exists..BUT WHERE IS IT!????? Why the **** does APPLE MAKE IT SO DIFFICULT? I mean the amount of times you have to re-enter your password is bloody ridiculous. Security CRAP. Online banking is more user friendly. I have eyestrain from reading all the data they have so you can solve the problem. I don't have the TIME! If I can't fix this problem, iTunes will be history! Can ANYONE HELP ME PLEEEEEESE????

Try calling apple and tell them about it or make them give u a REFUND

I stated that I did try to do all of this when I first set up the new computer...I did do the Setup Assistant numerous times but my old computer kept freezing half way through. Even if I did it when I first got the new computer back in Septemeber, I would have had the same issue b/c my old computer has been 'broken' for a while. My old computer can't handle doing too much at once and I think the setup and then migration functions I tried were too much. That's why I was hoping I could use the migration function piecemeal. I wish I could just check off the exact files and folders I want vs. having to choose it at the 'user' level...that's too much for my old computer to have to transfer.

Are you certain that the password was the only thing changed? Sounds more like a new Apple ID was created.

Where is the "On My Mac" section? Tried to make a new folder for junk as a sub-folder in Trash. Didn't realize the location was set for "On My Mac" and now I can't find it.

If the old ID is yours, and if your current ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). What happens if you tap the home button from that page?
I think you must have push turned on for your mail, and that is the first thing it is trying to do. But from anyscreen, any time, if you hit the home button, it should return you to the home screen. From there, go to settings and do the work on the mail section.

Persistently asked for stored passwords If you are persistently asked for passwords in various applications that you have specified should be remembered in a keychain, your "login" keychain may not be active for one reason or another.
Navigate to ~/Library/Keychains/ (this is the Library folder inside your user's home folder). Find the file named "login.keychain" and double-click it.
Failing that, select the "login" keychain within the Keychain Access application and make sure it is the default keychain by going to the "File" menu and selecting "Make 'Login' Default"
Turn off Keychain synchronization in applications having problems If specific applications are experiencing issues when accessing password-protected material, the Keychain may be to blame.

I recently downloaded the latest version of Mountain Lion and imovie and now I can't find my photos. When I click on the camera it tells me that I need to open iphoto before I can see any of my pictures but that didn't work. Any help would be appreciated.

In Lion and Mountain Lion, an alternative way to open your user Library folder (to access the Preferences folder), is to click and hold down Go in the Finder menu bar and then press and hold down the Option key on the keyboard. The Library folder will appear in the drop-down menu. Slide the pointer down until Library is highlighted. As you release the mouse button, the Library folder will open.

I imported vacation photos, got the color wheel and did a force quit. Now I can't find any of those photos, and of course I deleted them from the SD card when I imported them. Where can I find those photos?

I imported vacation photos from my cameras SD card and deleted them when the import was complete. Then I moved them from Events into an Album. When trying to move 2 photos as once to another album I got the color wheel and locked up. I did a force quit but when I go back into iPhoto none of the recently imported photos appear - not in Events, the album, trash, etc. Where can I find those photos?

After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help with gift card issues. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice for the issue you are experiencing:
If you can't redeem your iTunes Gift Card or code
Contact iTunes Store Support
If the code is completely scratched off or you still can't redeem your gift card, contact iTunes Support:
Go to the iTunes Store support page and choose your country.
From the menu on the left, choose Contact Support.
Click Contact iTunes Store Support.
Follow the instructions.
iTunes Store Support might ask you to send these things:
Image of the full front and back of your gift card
Sales receipt showing when your card was purchased
Serial number from your gift card

You need to reset the password for the "old" account, and then use that to turn off iCloud. Then you will be able to sign in with your new ID.
You can reset your password at iForgot.apple.com.
If you don't know the answers to the security questions, you will need to start there.

We are changing monthly as per our Company Policy. There is no problem, but yes if it is used some where e.g. for ftp (we are using) there you need to change.
