InAppPurchase fails SKErrorPaymentCancelled "Cannot conn...to iTunes Store"

Hi.
I noticed today, that my In App Purchase was not working. I am using a test account and everyhing was working until now (our app is already live since june and the real in app purchase works), but today I wanted to make a test purchase with the same product and test user that I always used and now it's not working.
The problem is as follows:
1. I start the in app purchase.
2. Confirm the purchase and sign in with the test user.
3. Because this is a non-consumable product the App Store notifies me, that I have already purchased this but it hasn't been downloaded.
4. Press OK.
5. Up until now the transaction observer got a transaction with the transactionState SKPaymentTransactionStatePurchased and the user got his/her in app feature.
6. But now the transactionState is SKPaymentTransactionStateFailed with the error:
Error Domain=SKErrorDomain Code=2 UserInfo=0x2debe0 "Cannot connect to iTunes Store"
Code=2 means SKErrorPaymentCancelled. ***? This should happen if the user canceled the transaction, not in a real error. This is very misleading. I am not supposed to show this as an error because most of the time this is called if a user really cancels his/her purchase and there is no way to determine whether this error was caused by the user or by the App Store.
Everything is set up correctly, as I mentioned the in app purchase testing worked and I get the products as valid. Also I didn't change the code handling the in app purchase.
The error must be somewhere on the App Store side.
Does anyone else had this problem?
Thank you.

I have exactly the same problem! After this has happened once, the test user account becomes "jammed" so that every purchase gives a dialog:
"You have already purchased this product... Tap OK to download it now"
This message shoud never appear because my in-app purchase is subscription type product. There seems to be something totally weird going on in in-app purchases.

• TS1424 cannot connect to itunes store

As of this morning (Thursday, November 15, 2012), neither my iPhone4S nor my iPad2 (both running latest OS scrupulously maintained) can connect to the iTunes store. They were able to download updates yesterday. I'm not sure I understand how they may detect that updates are available without being to connect. Nor do I understand how they may be able to display "purchased apps which are not downloaded", featured apps, and all the rest. Attempted download of updates fails with "Cannot connect to iTunes store." The "help" files on the Apple website are particularly not helpful on this issue. The devices are fully functional, including having access to the internet and being fully powered, in all other respects. I'm at a loss for a solution.

I tried on my MBP and got a 500. This is a "server error", not client side. So it really irks me that Apple nowhere in the help files (that I saw) mentions the "remote" possibility that it's the fault of *their* server(s) instead of the client machine. I reckon I'll sit tight and try again later.

How long ago did you contact iTunes Support ? If it's been longer than 48 hours, and you've checked the spam folder on your email account as well as the inbox, then contact them again : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption.
The $1 'charges' are likely to be temporary store holding charges, they should disappear off your account within a few days or so.

• TS1368 I cannot connect to iTunes store using iTunes. 'Secure link to iTunes store failed'. Please help!

I cannot connect to iTunes store using iTunes. I have version 11.0.2.26 on Win 7 pc. I have had no problems until recently. Can't say exactly the problem began as I don't normally use my computer to access the store but my last successful access according to iTunes diagnostics was 28th Feb 2013 (if thats useful?!)
I've run the Network Connectivity Test in iTunes diagnostics and I got the following results:
- Network interfaces verified.
-Internet connection verified.
-Secure link to iTunes failed.
When I click the help button next to the 'Secure link to iTunes failed' message I get the following:
''iTunes Help is unavailable because your computer isn't connected to the internet.'
My pc is connected to the internet. I've checked firewalls. Windows firewall is off. I'm running AVG internet security 2013. Iv've checked the firewall settings on that and iTunes is not being blocked.
Getting kinda frustrated. Can anybody help please???

I seem to have tracked down the problem. AVG Family Safety software was causing the issue somehow. I have uninstalled it and iTunes now working. I will contact AVG for a solution as I now have no way of blocking certain sites.

• In App Purchase Error, ( Transaction Failed Cannot connect to iTunes Store)

O.k. on my iPhone when I'm in an app I tried to purchase something and it won't let me by saying, Transaction Failed, Cannot Connect to iTunes Store.. But I'm able to use the same app on my iPod touch and I can purchase what I needed.... So can somebody help me figure out what the reason is behind it? Both the iPhone and the Ipod has the same account information and both uses the same computer to connect to iTunes.... So why does one work and the other doesn't? Also its an iPhone 3Gs...

Although you may be using the same iTunes Account, things can get a little strange if you have different AppleID's for each device. On your device, check settings ==> Store. The AppleID for that device is listed there. It can be confusing because syncing to the same iTunes account is not the same as managing App and purchases through the iTunes Store Account.
On your iTunes window the uppe right corner shows which AppleStore ID is logged in. If it turns out they are different, simply log out of the store on iTunes, and log in with the other account. Download the updates. Log out and then back in to the other account.
As an alternative, download the updates on the device they were purchased. Sync to iTunes, and the updated download be transferred back to iTunes and available to the other devices syncing with iTunes.
Or....... if your iPhone is Airplane Mode, turn that Airplane mode off and ignore everything from above.

• IPod Touch 4G - Cannot Connect to iTunes Store from AppStore App

I have three iPod Touch 4G in the house. All running 5.1.1 iOS. Mine (that I use everyday, can access the App Store and Updates just fine. My wife's iPod (which hasn't been used for a few weeks) cannot access the App Store, Updates without the error "Cannot Cannect to iTunes Store". Both are using the same network router on WiFi. Both have internet access and I can browse on both just fine. All other functions of the App Store app work fine EXCEPT Updates.
She did have 7 updates initially and I went to iTunes under Apps and UPDATED them all with an exception, one of them downloaded but failed to show "downloaded" it still says "update" on a little tag. This makes me think that something is "stuck" in queue within iTunes Store for that account.
I have tried EVERY fix mentioned that I can find and this simply makes no sense.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Actually this was solved. I found a thread that detailed what to do to fix it and it worked for me.
Essentially, double-click the main button and shut down the App Store (if running)
Go to "Settings", "General" and "Date & Time"
Change the date (turn OFF "Automatic") to WAY in the future (like 2025)
Then back out of settings by using the button in the upper left (so settings are saved)
Now, open the App Store and click quickly on something OTHER than Updates
Now click on Updates - you should get a security warning
Without closing the App Store, go back to Settings, General, Date & Time and set the date back to "Automatic"
Again, back out of the settings to save the date information
Now go back to the App Store and it should load the Updates tab properly. You may need to re-enter credentials.
That fixed it for me. Thanks to HOLEPUNCH for the fix.

• Cannot connect to iTunes Store iOS 6.1.3 iPad 3G

Since iOS 6.1.3 I'm not always able to update my Apps in the AppStore.
I receive the classic "Cannot connect to iTunes Store". I can see it is a time-out in a wrong route config or something.
My iPhone and iPad mini works fine.
I've tried reset network settings. Also I've tried to update over 3G (no WiFi) and this worked well (not for Apps >50Mb).
When I try to resume to update from WiFi (disable 3G) it still doesn't work.
Tried to kill the AppStore app, didn't work.
Anyone also having this problem?

I saw a failed download in iTunes (iPad) and retried to download this song.
This went ok. Then back to the AppStore and whala it all works again.
Maybe it was an error with Apple, I don't know.

I cannot access the iTunes store from any of my computers. When I updated to v. 10.7 it made my laptop unable to access just like with my two desktops. I have installed and uninstalled numerous times.

Nothing happens. iTunes just hangs up every time, saying "Accessing iTunes Store." It does that for a very, very long time, then nothing. Here is what happens when I run diagnostics.

Hi, I have upgraded my iphone 4s to ios7 and now when I am trying to login to app store, it says "Cannot Connect to iTunes Store". When I try clicking on the "Terms and Conditions" in iCloud, it first says "Cannot Connect" and then the following message: "Verification Failed: the certificate for this server is invalid. you might be connecting to server that is pretending to be setup.icloud.com, which could put your confidential information at risk". My wifi is working properly as I have accessed websites from safari. I reset my network settings too and even reset my password. But none of these get my iphone working.

• IPad app store message "Cannot connect to iTunes store"

Recently my iPad (wifi) & my husband's iPhone (AT&T)have been unable to connect to the app store or iTunes. We get the message "cannot connect to iTunes store". The only thing that I have done recently is download a kindle book & add a Bluetooth keyboard. The keyboard was never paired with the iPhone so I don't think that could be the issue. The iPad & iPhone have both been updated, but that hasn't resolved the issue. There was no problem connecting to iTunes through the PC to run the update. Why would both devices suddenly have the same problem? One is wifi & one is 3G so it's not the connection. They have nothing in common except the error. Any help would be appreiciated since this is getting frustrating. Thanks!

Hi, Thank you! I did as you suggested but it didn't work. So, this time I cleared all apps out of the tray, signed out of my account at the store, and did a hard reboot. Then on my desktop I signed out of my account in iTunes and then synced. I have signed back into the store on the iPad but still get the same message.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.
