Inbound Idoc function module for Cycle count with msg type WVINVE

Can any one tell me which is the standard function Module which processes Cycle count for message type WVINVE.
My requirement is to setup Inbound Idoc for cycle processing with message type WVINVE.

Inbound FM is IDOC_INPUT_STORE_INVENTORY , and Process code is WVIN.
Yoou can check this in Tcode WE42 for process code WVIN.

To to SE37 -> Press F4 -> SAP Applications --> LE --> LE-WM here you will find all LE related FM or BAPI.

How to debug outbound Idoc function module for invoice

I have to debug the outbound IDOC function module and UserExit for invoice message type INVOIC, process code SD09, function module is IDOC_OUTPUT_INVOIC and user exit for the function module LVEDF001.
I tried putting the break point in function module IDOC_OUTPUT_INVOIC and recreate the IDOC using WE19 but it creates the idoc but does not stop at the break point. I have also tried generation of idoc through VF02. It again creates the idoc but does not stop at the function module.
Please let me know if I am missing any thing and not doing it right.

Hi Ali,
I faced the same problem. Thing is the break point is not getting triggered when i ran tha IDOC through WE19.
What i have done is i created a project for my exit in CMOD and kept some junk code in the exit and executed it through BD21. Then the Break point got triggered. See if it works.

Inbound Idoc Function Module

Hi gurus,
I am new to IDOC's. My requirement is from some third party systems data come to IDOC.
For this I created Custom Z segments, Z Idoc and Z message type.
Now I have to develop one Inbound function module. Based on this function module two Z custom tables need to be updated.

Changing IDOC function module?

Hello everyone!
I would like to make changes to the function module responsible for creating Sales Order Idocs: IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS. How should I go about this procedure? Do I need to copy the existing function module and create a new one? If so, how do I point the IDOC (ORDERS05) to the new function module (for example, ZIDOC_INPUT_ORDERS).

(1)This is one possible solution, another one is to use some (2)customer function exits for inbound Idoc these enhancements might be useful: MM06E001, VEDA0001or (depending on platform you are) you might go for e.g. (3)Implicit enhancement. In last two cases you probably dont need to create Z-FM and Z-process code.

1) Copy FM to ZFM
2) Specify characteristic of FM BD51
3) Create Z-inbound process code: WE42 and assign a Z-FM to it.

To add some checks at the beginning you might use all three possible solutions:
(1) in ZFM you might add you code at the very beginning and return some error message
(2) you might use on of the available customer function exits to do some checks
(3) you can do the implicit enhancement and also return some error code at the very beginning of standard FM
In both cases I recommend to go for approach no (2). Useful tcodes: CMOD and SMOD.

and working on it.

I think you are going completely astray with you z-function module for IDoc processing.
If you look at TABLES parameter METERREADINGRESULTS (type BAPIEABLU ) of BAPI_MTRREADDOC_UPLOAD you will find many of the requested fields already:

Field EABL-ZMESSAGE appears to be custom field (at least I cannot find it on ECC 6.0). If this field was added using include CI_EABL then you probably can get these values into the BAPI using the EXTENSIONIN parameter.
Check routine CHECK_UPLOADRECORDS in the BAPI which allows two extension structures:
- BAPI_TE_EABL
- BAPI_TE_EOSB
Not surprisingly BAPI_TE_EABL contains the include CI_EABL.

I presumed that You are talking about a FM to create inbound IDOC. So for creating inbound IDOC you can use '

      idoc_data_rec_40    = gt_edidd.

just prepare edidc and edidd record in and pass it to the FM..

The only difference between INFRECMASS01 and INFREC01 is that repitition of the same segments. However, the standard function module is hardcoded with IDOC type INFREC01, so if you want to use the MASS IDOC copy the standard one and put in the logic to loop around and process the info records one by one.
There is no standard funtion that can process mass idoc of the info record.

Error in function module for inbound processingwhile testing from we19

hi,
I have developed a custom function module for processing inbound idoc for creating material using bdc...the problem is that when i am trying to test my idoc using we19 and calling my function module in debug mode an error is displayed showing 'interface for function module is incorrect' and also i am unable to see my function module in debugging mode.It is only displaying the error message...
I have given all the parameters necessary (import,export or tables) and found no error in the interface...I think the problem is appearing before my function module is being called....Also on seeing the short dump analysis I have seen that the error is in the form 'Idocs passed to application' which is not a part of the function module developed by me...
I am unable to understand why this error message is being displayed...
Please help me out of this..

ya i know that ..But I wanted to create a simple one..moreover the problem is not with bdc....It is with the function module interface..
Also I want to ask a question that I had to define all the parameters (in the function module ) by data declaration statements in the function group top include..
If i dont do that say the first error is when i write loop at idoc_contrl ..idoc_contrl is not declared by a data statement..So IO had to write a data statement:
Idoc_contrl type table of edidc..I have seen that in other function modules (idoc inbound processing) no such data declaration is done..

How to Assign a function module for customized IDOC

I have created a customized IDOC. Can any body explain how to assign a FM for customized IDOC? Is same IDOC can be used for both Outbound and Inbound Process? In WE41 and WE42 we have to give the outbound and inbound function module name. can we give same function module? Is process code is same for both outbound and inbound process?

Here is the Procedure for the Inbound Idoc Funtion Module
Function Module : SE37
Message : WE81
Assign message : WE82
Assgin FM : we57
Process Code : WE42.
Assign Partner Profile - WE20,
To test the Inbound IDOC.
In WE19, Give the IDOC number & execute ... then put the cursor on the idoc control record . then click on the Standard Inbound push button on the application tool bar.it will show show all the details like partner no,type , message type , process code & function module name ...
now put a break point in the function module .. & debug .
if u r using customised inbound function module , then click on inbound function module .. there u will get a pop screen with FM name & debugging option in both background & foreground mode...

Hi,
Go to WE42 for inbound processing codes and WE41 for outbound.
OR
We have WE19 which is a test tool for IDOC processing.
Provide the IDOC number then press F8, then in the next screen , you will have inbound function module.
Click that button. Then enter the text in search criteria.
Then you can get related function module.
