Inbound proxy with attachments.

We've created an inbound proxy.  The inbound message has an attachment.  How do I get access to it, within the inbound proxy method?
I've got this from the various helps and blogs:
  DATA: lt_attach    TYPE prx_attach,
        l_name       TYPE string,
        l_xstring    TYPE xstring,
        l_string     TYPE string,
        l_type       TYPE string,
        l_attachment TYPE REF TO if_ai_attachment,
DATA: lr_controller TYPE REF TO if_wsprotocol_attachments.
* Get attachments
  lr_controller = cl_wsprotocol_attachments=>get_protocol( ).
  lt_attach = lr_controller->get_attachments( ).
  LOOP AT lt_attach INTO l_attachment.
But lt_attach is always empty.
Any ideas?
Thanks
matt

OK, I got it.  I needed the server context in order to get the attachments
New code:
  DATA: lr_attachments TYPE REF TO if_wsprotocol_attachments.
  DATA:  lr_server_context   TYPE REF TO if_ws_server_context.
  lr_server_context = cl_proxy_access=>get_server_context( ).
  lr_attachments ?=
       lr_server_context->get_protocol( if_wsprotocol=>attachments ).
  lt_attach = lr_attachments->get_attachments( ).
* instantiate Attachment
  LOOP AT lt_attach INTO l_attachment.
The final clue came from [here|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/51/d5cd16235e4643ae8ec92395c4ad97/frameset.htm]
Thanks for you help though

    Hi All,
    I have a scenario where in I need to pick one zip file from FTP and pass it to SAP system over proxy communication.I have searched on SDN,find blogs on outbound proxy but didnt get much information on inbound proxy with attachment.
    Or please suggest if there is any other way to pick the zip file from source and send that zip file to SAP system over proxy.
    Please provide your inputs.
    Thanks,

    Hi ruchi,
    You can use PayloadSWAPBean and PayloadZipBean for attachment related configuration.

  • How to create Inbound SOAP With Attachments

    Hi All,
    Does someone know how to create an Inbound SOAP Message (from SAP XI to a Business System) with attachments?
    We get an Idoc from a SAP R/3 system and transform this Idoc to an other XML format messages, but we want this message as an attachment and not as the payload in the SOAP Envelope.
    We tried the PayloadSwapBean module, but we don't have an attachment to swap with, but maybe we used the wrong paramaters.
    Thanks,
    Frank

    Hi Stefan,
    Does this quick response mean I challenged you?
    Our scenario is that we send an IDoc (ORDERS05) from our R/3-backend-system to XI (3.0/SP15). In an integration process (A/S-bridge) we transform this IDoc to an UBL-Order XML-message, and we want to send this XML-message as an attachment to a (synchronous) SOAP-call to a vendor. Like I said, despite the SAPHelp-content, we don't get this working. Whatever we try, the UBL-Ordermessage is contained in the SOAP-body.
    What makes it even more strange, is that XI itself is based on the SOAP-with-attachments-standard...
    So, any help is much appreciated!
    Regards, Fred

  • Inbound proxy with system error.

    Hi Experts,
                    I desighned an inbound proxy scenario which is file to ECC.
                   I test the proxy from 'SPROXY" t.code.
                   Because of wrong data, it throws an exception as below.
           - <cls:CX_XMS_SYSERR_PROXY id="o125">
    - <CX_ROOT>
      <TEXTID>8BB7CA726FE56F43BC4A06197ABFE5FD</TEXTID>
      <PREVIOUS href="#o117" />
      <KERNEL_ERRID />
    - <INTERNAL_SOURCE_POS>
      <PROGID>242</PROGID>
      <CONTID>668</CONTID>
      </INTERNAL_SOURCE_POS>
      </CX_ROOT>
      <CX_STATIC_CHECK />
    - <CX_XMS_SYSTEM_ERROR>
      <ID>PARSE_APPLICATION_DATA</ID>
      <P1>Request Message</P1>
      <P2>CX_ST_DESERIALIZATION_ERROR</P2>
    from above, we can tell this is a system error because this exception caught by class'CX_XMS_SYSTEM_ERROR'.
    If this is a system error, it has to show  a system log in 'SM21'.
    but, it's not appearing.
    if my understanding was wrong,let me know where it will display these logs.
    please let me know your opinion on this.

  • Abap proxy with attachments in enhanced interface determination/mapping

    Hi guys.
    We were receiving a abap proxy from ECC with a pdf attached in the header.
    This was the scenario PROXY ---> FILE
    We used the PayloadSwapBean Module in a Receiver File Adapter to get this document and put it in a FTP Server.
    Now we have to make and improvement in the scenario and we have to generate two receiver interfaces so the scenario looks like this:
    PROXY ---> FILE and JDBC.
    So we have to use an enhanced interface mapping and an enhanced interface determination.
    The problem is that with this enhanced interface determination/mapping the attached document is lost.
    Any solution?
    Thanks a lot.
    Regards.

    > The problem is that with this enhanced interface determination/mapping the attached document is lost.
    I know there was an issue in early PI 7.1 SP versions. maybe you find a bug fix for this?
    Otherwise report to SAP.

  • Debugging a server proxy with attachments

    Hello,
    Although there are other questions posted about debugging server proxies, I can't figure out how I can debug my server proxy that receives attachments. If I debug the program, because there's no attachment at that point, I get other errors.
    There's an unhandled exception in the coding. When receiver SAP system receives the message, the queue is stopped. Can I somehow restart and debug afterwards this erronous message that does carry the attachment?
    Thanks,
    Gökhan

    Hello Gökhan,
    did you try inserting an endless loop in the server proxy and start debugging the program from the SM50? This is the way I usually catch processes crossing system borders.

    Jörg

  • SOAP Receiver adapter with attachments not working

    Hello,
    I have a simple synchronous scenario like this; ABAP proxy with attachments to SOAP with attachments.
    The SOAP receiver adapter has been configured with the parameters 'Do not Use SOAP envelope' and 'Keep attachments'. We create our own SOAP envelope with custom SOAP headers, so that's the reason for the 'Do not use SOAP envelope' setting.
    When we test the scenario with an attachment then we get a timeout from PI. However, when we test the same scenario without any attachment then no errors occur.
    The external webservice has also been tested with SOAP UI and it works fine.
    Do you have any clues what the problem can be? What are we still missing in the configuration?
    We did try with the adapter modules such as PayloadSwapBean and the Message TransformBean, so far without success...
    Many thanks.
    Roberto

    Hi Stefan,
    The attachments are not really big, around 150KB.
    According to the other party (Oracle Service Bus) no messages with attachments have been received. In fact it seems like those messages never leave the PI server. SOAP requests without attachments are processed successfully.
    Thanks
    Roberto

  • Synchronous Inbound Proxy: Request Responce Type

    Hi,
    I am new to ABAP and i have to work on a inbound proxy which is synchronous
    ie a request-responce scenario has to be implemented.
    Can some one guide me how to initiate.
    Regards,
    vickey
    Any replys will be highly appreciated and rewarded.

    hi
    check with this wiki page:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/profile/2007/09/19/request-responseSCENARIOININBOUNDPROXY
    If there is a scenario in which the request coming from the other system and based on that request, a response is to be send from ABAP to that system, inbound proxy with Synchronous method is used.
    The class is created by the XI and in the method execute_synchronous, the ABAP code is written.
    The XI provides the input and output structures.
    The ABAP side receives the request from the input structure and sends back the response to the output structure. We will go through these steps one by one. If clearly understood the whole concept is very easy.
    Step1: To declare the internal table/work area of the type of input structure:
            wa_input like input-mt_get_notification-message_payload.
    (Here we have given the whole path as highlighted through ovals in the figure above)
    Step2:  To move the data coming from the input structure to the defined workarea/internal table:
           move input-mt_get_notification-message_payload to wa_input.
    Now the input data is in the desired internal table /work area which can be used to fetch the desired values and send the result back to XI through output structure.
    2) To send the data to XI through output structure.
    Step1: Like input structure, the naming convention for output structure also follows the
    whole path
    call method me->get_notif_or_task_details
            exporting
              p_input         = wa_input
            importing
              p_output        =
           output-mt_notification_response-message_payload-sapresponse
            changing
              it_l_bapiret2   = it_bapiret2
            exceptions
              errors_occurred = 1
              others          = 2
          if sy-subrc <> 0.
    MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
               WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
          endif.
    (Code Snippet for Method)
    Here this method fetches the required data in the table p_output and assign it to the internal table
    SAPRESPONCE of the output structure which goes to XI.
    In this way, the synchronous method can be used for inbound proxy in case of request-response scenario.
    regards
    Manish

  • Proxy with attachment

    How to use proxy along with attachment...

    HI,
    Proxies communicate with the XI server by means of native SOAP calls over HTTP .RFC does not, so you have to convert from SOAP to RFC calls and vice versa. So XML conversion is required.

    Proxies: are interfaces which will get executed in the application system.They can be created only in the system from message interfaces using the proxy generation functions.
    The biggest advantage of the proxy is that it always by passes the Adapter Engine and will directly interact with the application system and Integration engine - so it will and should give us a better performance.
    The literal definition of a proxy is an object / process authorized to act for another; an agent or a substitute. In simpler terms, proxies in the XI context are objects used to encapsulate the creation (from a sender system) or parsing of XML (at a receiver system) as well as the communication with the relevant runtime components required to send or receive those messages. The Proxy Runtime controls these objects / processes, and can itself be controlled by the applications it communicates with.
    The Proxy currently has the following components available:
    1. ABAP Proxy – Communication using XI or Web Services
    2. Java Proxy– Communication using XI (J2EE)

    Hi guys.
    Im having problems accessing Protocol Classes in a inbound proxy.
    I have this code that is copied from:

    lo_server_context   = cl_proxy_access=>get_server_context( ).
    lo_payload_protocol =
         lo_server_context->get_protocol( if_wsprotocol=>payload ).
    But Im getting this error:
    The result type of the function method cannot be converted into the type lo_payload_protocol
    If I try to get the attachment protocol with this code:
    DATA: lo_server_context TYPE REF TO if_ws_server_context,
    lo_attachment_prtcl TYPE REF TO IF_WSPROTOCOL_ATTACHMENTS.
    lo_server_context = cl_proxy_access=>get_server_context( ).
    lo_attachment_prtcl = lo_server_context->get_protocol( if_wsprotocol=>ATTACHMENTS ).
    Im getting the same error.
    What am I doing wrong? It' s code copied fror SAP Library!!!
    Thanks a lot.

    hi,
    you are choosing wrong type for lo_payload_protocol.
    you must change like this
    lo_payload_protocol TYPE REF TO IF_WSPROTOCOL.

  • IIS Reverse Proxy with URL rewrite.

    Hi all, hoping to leverage the wealth of knowledge contained here.
    Any assistance would be very welcome.
    I'm having an issue getting a reverse proxy and URL rewrite working in IIS 7.0.
    I need to redirect all requests with a specific virtual directory suffix only.
    ie; https://domain.test.com/outbound/Content/query_etc
    With /Outbound/ being the trigger.
    This should be redirected to http://10.10.10.10/inbound/Content/query_etc
    While at the same time, requests without the /outbound/ suffix should be handled locally.
    I have configured the reverse proxy as described in a few articles, and have had no luck.
    Here's a snippet from my (sanitized) web.config at the site level.
    <rewrite>
    <outboundRules>
    <rule name="ReverseProxyOutboundRule1" preCondition="ResponseIsHtml1">
    <match filterByTags="A" pattern="^http(s)?://10.10.10.10/inbound/(.*)" />
    <action type="Rewrite" value="https://domain.test.com/outbound/{R:2}" />
    </rule>
    <preConditions>
    <preCondition name="ResponseIsHtml1">
    <add input="{RESPONSE_CONTENT_TYPE}" pattern="^text/html" />
    </preCondition>
    </preConditions>
    </outboundRules>
    <rules>
    <rule name="ReverseProxyInboundRule1" stopProcessing="true">
    <match url="^outbound/(.*)" />
    <action type="Rewrite" url="http://10.10.10.10/inbound/{R:1}" appendQueryString="true" logRewrittenUrl="false" />
    </rule>
    </rules>
    </rewrite>
    To me, this looks correct, yet it doesn't work.
    With this, I get the normal 404 - Error Code 0x80070002, with the text indicating the local directory doesn't exist, so.... not being picked up by the filter for redirection.

    Hi Andrew,
    Looking at your requirements it appears you need Reverse Proxy To Another Site/Server.
    By using URL Rewrite Module together with
    Application Request Routing module you can have IIS 7 act as a
    reverse proxy.
    It seems like URL Rewrite can't re-route the request somewhere else out of the server.
    Even when you rewrite the url the actual connection remains with the server. Hence if your original server doesn't have /inbound/Content/query_etc  it will fail with 404.
    Hosting multiple domain names under a single account using URL Rewrite.
    It’s a common desire to have a single IIS website that handles multiple sites with different domain names.

  • Issue while inserting a BDC program in Inbound Proxy.JDBC-- PI-- SAP.

    The scenerio is jdbcsender-sappi-inboundproxy(ECC6.0).
    The issue is related to SAP Plant Maintenance Module where  We have a requirement for creating Maintenance item
    programmatically from (SQLDatabase)Legacy Data for one of the interface.
    since there are no standard BAPIS/Idocs or function modules available from SAP side for creating the maintenance item. So I
    have written BDC program and with the help of submit statement in inbound proxy program, I am calling BDC program for
    creation of the maintenance item.
    When I tested the program independently on proxy side  the Maintenance Item is getting created successfully but when I
    executed from end-to-end ie.  SQLDATABASE->SAP PI-->SAP. The message is getting strucked into the queue and queue  got stopped on SAP.
    ECC side and the status of the message is scheduled state  on SXMB_MONI  transaction of SAP ECC.
    As the message  is in scheduled state multiple number of Maintenance Items are getting created with the same values.
    Has any one of our SAP friends, encountered this type of issue while inserting a BDC program in inbound proxy, please help
    in fixing this issue. FYI... I am using sap pi7.0 with service pack 24 and ecc6.0
    Waiting for your kind expert guidance...
    cheers,
    Ram

    Raj,
    Thanks for the reply. I have tried registering the queues but still the same problem. the message got stuck in the queue of ECC and showing below message in queue.
    function module                                    StatusText
    SXMS_ASYNC_EXEC                  connection closed (no data)
    I have checked in the forums especially  for this issue but no one has provided the answer for this.

  • Special character " (quote) in inbound proxy

    Hi folks,
    We have a scenario in which inbound proxy is implemented on SAP side. I am getting following error:-
    Error during XML => ABAP conversion (Request Message; error ID: CX_ST_DESERIALIZATION_ERROR; (/1SAI/TXS9457077FA0DEC03F30D0 XML Bytepos.: 988 XML Path: MT_SLM_INT30_LUPReviewFromLUPS(1)Title(16) Error Text: Data loss occurred when converting PROPOSED 8" U/G HRDH & ROUTE Kernel ErrorId: CONVT_DATA_LOSS)) An error occurred when deserializing in the simple transformation program /1SAI/TXS9457077FA0DEC03F30D0 Data loss occurred when converting PROPOSED 8" U/G HRDH. Could you please suggest me what is wrong in the data PROPOSED 8" U/G HRDH & ROUTE. I guess it is due to the use of " in the data. Could you please help me in this?
    Regards,
    Sami.

    Hi,
    The problem was with the length of that field. That field was created in XI with max length 80. During proxy generation, corresponding abap field was created with 80 char. In the message, data for that field was 81 characters At runtime, when proxy runtime tried to map the xml to corresponding abap object, it failed.
    While testing in Sproxy transaction when tried to execute after removing quote(") it was successful, as length was reduced to 80. So i went under impression that it is not working because of quote(").
    Thanks for your rersponses.

    It doesn't get the value listed in the file. In the method section, I have created the following codes:
    DATA:  receipt TYPE zgiserdata-receipt,
                material_slip TYPE zgiserdata-matslip,
                plant TYPE zgiserdata-plant,
                material_number TYPE zgiserdata-matno,
                new_serial TYPE zgiserdata-new_serial,
                old_serial TYPE zgiserdata-old_serial,
                warrex_date TYPE zgiserdata-warrexdate,
                posting_date TYPE zgiserdata-postdate.
    Convert input parameters
      receipt = input-GOODS_ISSUE_SERIALIZED_CREATE-GOODS_ISSUE-reciept.
      material_slip = input-GOODS_ISSUE_SERIALIZED_CREATE-GOODS_ISSUE-material_slip.
      plant = input-GOODS_ISSUE_SERIALIZED_CREATE-GOODS_ISSUE-plant.
      material_number = input-GOODS_ISSUE_SERIALIZED_CREATE-GOODS_ISSUE-material_number.
      new_serial = input-GOODS_ISSUE_SERIALIZED_CREATE-GOODS_ISSUE-new_serial.
      old_serial = input-GOODS_ISSUE_SERIALIZED_CREATE-GOODS_ISSUE-old_serial.
      warrex_date = input-GOODS_ISSUE_SERIALIZED_CREATE-GOODS_ISSUE-warrex_date.
      posting_date = input-GOODS_ISSUE_SERIALIZED_CREATE-GOODS_ISSUE-posting_date.
    Debugged on 'receipt', the value I got is 'This is a string 1' instead of the record that is in the file.
    'This is a string 2' for 'material_slip', so on and so forth.
    Checked on the XI side that the records in the file is being transmitted without any errors. I tested this through SPROXY. Got the message that is executed with no errors, however, I got the values mentioned above instead of the values in the file being sent to XI.
    Can you please help me what needs to be checked in order to have the values that are in the file being sent to XI?
    Thank you.

    Hi Jho,
    >>>Debugged on 'receipt',
    How did you try to debug the proxy? I belive you tried debugging the proxy using SPROXY transaction code. If you use SPROXY transaction code by default the values are filled as 'This is a string 1 .. n so on..
    I would suggest you to copy the xml payload from XI and then in SPROXY transaction code paste the payload and then trigger the proxy in debugging mode.
    Or search in sdn how to debug proxy. You can use that guide to debug proxy real time. Guide is also available in some SAP Note. Dont remember the Note number.
    If there is anything else you want to know let us know.
    Regards,
    Sumit
