You could create a class X in a namspace Y in a C# class library project. You can then add a reference to this class library project/assembly from every application in which you intend to use the class X in namespace Y.
You don't add references to namespace, you add references to assemblies in .NET. You can then use a class in namespace Y of any referenced assembly by adding a using directive at the top of the code file in which you reference the class:
using Y;

Problem in including HTMLB library

Hi,
I am learning to program using HTMLB.
I have created object of type DynPage in developer studio and included the library com.sapportals.htmlb.*. Its working absolutely fine.
But when I tried to include the same library of AbstractPortalComponent object, there was an error., as it is not resolved.
Can anyone tell me the reason to raise an error when it is AbstractPortalComponent object but error is not raised when the object is of DynPage?

How to include externel library in JAR file?

Hi all =)
I have a program that uses an external library (in a JAR file) I would like to compile my program as a JAR and have it include the external library that it needs to run, so that the external library would not need to be on the computer running my program. How can I do this?

Ok I was able to make my JAR and launch my application correctly. However whenever I click a button that has a method using my external library I get the following error:
C:\Documents and Settings\Koneko>java -jar D:\Mangment.jar

I do not get this error when I run and use my program from within the IDE.

Java application - build JAR file & include JCO library

Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my Java application that <i>connects to SAP system using JCO </i>library <b>(sapjco.jar)</b>.
I would like to create a JAR file from my Java application but when I run the JAR file that I created I get an error that <b>NoClassDefinitionFoundError com/sap/mw/jco/JCO at [...]</b>
That means that the JCO and associated DLL files <b>(sapjco.jar, librfc32.dll and sapjcorfc.dll)</b> were <u>not</u> included/packed in my JAR file.
<b>-- How can I include the JCO lib in JAR file?
-- If there is a problem with the DLL files, how can I include the JCO lib externally (dynamicly read the JCO whenever my JAR in run)?</b>
I am using Eclipse 3.2 and Export to JAR option when I click right button on Project.

Hi,
The problem is that you don't have defined the libraries in the Manifest file of your jar-file. So the jar doesn't know what to use at runtime.
Add following entry to the MANIFEST.MF file:
Class-Path:/<lib_folder>/<lib1_name>.jar; /<lib_folder>/<lib2_name>.jar and so on.

You will first need to open or create a new VB project and then select Project>>Add Reference. Make sure that the COM tab is selected and choose NI-SCOPE Library from the list.

Smart playlist not selecting, includes entire library

The iTunes smart playlists I created are no longer working at all -- they both sweep in the entire iTunes library, ignoring the conditions I have specified to be matched. These smart playlists are structured mainly around song-type descriptions I have inputted into the "grouping" field (not the "genre" field that is filled in automatically). So, for example, say one playlist is set up (as "match any") to include songs with classic rock, alt-rock or punk in the "grouping" field. And yet, no matter what I do, the entire library ends up in there, including songs that have different designators, or none at all, in the "grouping" field. Needless to say, this is leading to some odd and unfortunate segues and making the playlists useless.
I've tried deleting the smart playlists and setting them up again -- no help. These smart playlists used to work just fine; this problem developed at some point in the last year or so. I'm using iTunes version 10.5.0.142 for PC.

I have searched through numerous technical support issues and there seems to be a ton of "work arounds" but no solution. I have several iDevices and the latest udpates and software for all components. The issue of live updating a smart playlist now seems to be isolated only to my iPhone 5. I have my top rated smart playlist set to rating is 5 stars, last played is not in the last 1 month, media kind is music and playlist is music and of course, LIVE UPDATING is checked.
On 3 different iPads and an iPod touch, when I play a song, it is immediately removed from the playlist. Only on the iPhone does it not remove it automatically. If I sync, then it is all fixed, but that seems like delayed updating, not live, unless the live updating option is limited to iTunes, but then why does it work on iPads and iPod touches?
The bottom line is that all of the restarting the phone, checking and unchecking, recreating, et al, does not work. It is a bug - plane and simple.
I would challenge anyone to create a similar playlist and sync it to an iPhone 5 and simply play a song and tell us if it is removed from the playlist. If you figure out a fix, then post and it with as much information about what is different as possible for a solution.
I would be that if Jobs were still alive he would never have allowed this bug to get out!

Having trouble with including JNI library in netbeans

[Sorry a newbie question - I am more used to writing large amounts of Solaris kernel and writing a JNI for the first time]

I have a C library that needs to hook into the Java bean. I created a JNI library wrapper around the C library using swig/javah
and that went fine (using some of the examples/ref in this forum). The JNI library contains classes like SysInfoJNI created
by swig.

I can compile and run this on command line doing

and it all works fine. Now I move this code to netbeans since I need to add some more code
and create a java->web project and pretty much transfer the code there. I add the libSysinfo.so
using the property->library->create option but netbeans still can't see the symbols coming
out of Sysinfo JNI library. I suspect it wants the class definitions. My question is how do I
supply that? swig didn't really crate a header file but it did create Sysinfo.java file. Do I
just copy Sysinfo.java in the src directory (ugly?) or is there a convention of keeping the
*.java files in some standard place (like /usr/include for C headers) and then what would be
the method to include SysInfo.java to my netbeans src so that symbols can be found.

OK, seems like I had some kind of mismatch between the library & classes.
The loadLibrary only had the name and I had the library in /usr/lib. After running
truss -f -t open /usr/tomcat6/bin/startup.sh >& tomcat.out
I could see the tomcat was finding the library but still reporting link error.
Recompiling the library and classes again and then placing the library
in /usr/lib and classes in the right directory resolved the issue.
So I guess the answer to my original question is that classes need to
be delivered as a jar along with the rest of the distribution while the
library can be delivered in /usr/lib as part of the system.

i would like to know if there is any other way to use LIKE statement in plsql.

when i am trying the above query ..it is giving me as the count '0' for the different lv_pan1 when i ran it in a procedue.but when i ran the same query in a sql editor it is working fine..
need urgently please..

is lv_pan1 - variable ?
Then you have to write the query dynamically
or with INSTR- Function (IMHO, it's a better solution).
select count (distinct panel_nm) into lv_count

and INSTR(panel_nm, lv_pan1) > 0;
You search, whether variable panel_nm contains the values of lv_pan1

Includes vs library asset

I just completed a site - it's huge for me, over 100 pages, 160+ before it's through. Using WebAssist (SecurityAssist, Universal eMail, DataAssist) products and a tech support guy there said I should be using includes for my nav menus, not library assets. I figure he's right, there's got to be an easier way. Every change to these library assets requires me to upload each and every page. What are includes and how do I easily convert my library assets into Includes in DreamWeaver CS5.5?

IMO Library items are junk. They're not flexible and as you said, you have to republish every page that uses them. I would remove them all and replace with SSIs.

Server side includes vs Library assets?

I like server side include because I just see a single line referring to the included file, and that keep my code free of 'irrelevant' detaiuls.
However, I cannot preview my program in a local browser (because the include takes place on the server, and not locally on my machine).
Is there a compromise? Is there a way to NOT have Dreamweaver CS4 (on my iMac) expand the included library code?

I am not using anyPHP in this project, so I do not specify it. I tried specifying in, but that made no difference.
http://localhost shows me the default index file that is in //Application/MASMP/htdocs (sonce I used MAMP to get PHP up and running).
The issue seems to be to do with relative paths.
On my remote server I am installig the files into a folder named /NWC/ The domain name (www.BilliantlySimple.com) is set up to point to that folder.
I can see the page EXACTLY as I would expect it to be in design view, HOWEVER, when I go to live view it is not finding all of the files that it need to include. Id does find the such as the CSS file (included with the line: <link href="../_css/Test.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen" />) BUT any image files included for, say background-image: url(../_images/bg_dot.gif); it does NOT find (even though images in the page itself it can find!)
I am using Pop Magic Menus 2 and including those with these lines:

BUT it does NOT find the files to include ONLY in Live view!!!!

Help with error when including Actionscript library

I have air setup on my system and I threw in the following actionscript library from http://code.google.com/p/as3xls/
I included it into into my html file:
<script src="lib/core/library.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></script>
and i'm using it in the following manner
new runtime.com.as3xls.xls.ExcelFile();
The thing is that it is registering with autocomplete in aptana studio, however when I run it either through aptana or through adl I get the following error:-
Error: Could not find resource bundle collections
I would be really grateful for any and all help that I may get.

Apparently I beleive the root cause that it uses features from the flex builder sdk specifically mx.collections. I'm not really sure how to include them either into the swf or configure air in such a way that it can use them if they are included in the system somewhere.
My intent is to use html/js with air primarily and use a couple of compiled as3 libraries to do a little heavy lifting here and there. The library I'm used is open source and some approach which might compile it in a way as to include the required dependencies would also be appreciated.
The original library was an swc file that I extracted.
Would be really grateful for some help in this regard. Thanks.

How to export war files without including the library files

Hi,
I have several portlets that share the same jar files. In my tomcat, I'd like to load those jar files from shared/lib when tomcat starts up. Currently, to accomplish this, I export the war file from jsc, deploy to tomcat, then manually delete the jar files from WEB-INF/lib.
Is there a way I can modify some property file so that my war file does not include the shared libraries?

Rightclick project's root node in Projects window and select Properties. Then go to Build->Packaging and remove unnecessary libraries.
