Include calculated fields in the Infospoke
Hi all,
i need to include in the csv ouput of an Infospoke (data source is an ODS), some calculated fields not directly included in the ODS.
These fields are calculated using other infoobjects contained in the ODS.
Is this a way to calculate and include these fields in the csv output?

You can do this Calculation in the BADI Transformation. Write an ABAP code there to add a Calculated field to the downloaded file.

This is quite simple, first add the field MAKTX into the Table and activate it .
Now again generate the Table maintainence for the table.
from Table maintainence generator go to the main program
there click the screen maintained for Table maintainence generator .
in the Pbo of the screen write the following code.
assume table name is table1.
Loop at screen.
if screen-name = table1-maktx.
screen-input = '0'.
modify screen.
endif.
endloop.
this will automatically disable the material description field in the Table Maintainence Generator.

Userexit EXIT_SAPMM06E_016 is a component of enhancement MM06E005.
With that enhancement, you can
- Maintain/supply your own customer fields
- Update your own customer-specific tables
You cannot:
- Change standard fields
- Change data that depends on the document header in the items
- Change data that depends on an item in the document header

Php form not including a field in the email sent to me
I have tried to add a phone field to an existing form on my site, I just duplicated the existing email field and changed to say phone instead. The form works fine except that the email that comes through to me has all entered data from the form except for the phone field. Help would be great as I am a bit of a newbie.

Some times few elements may not work with RSCRM_BAPI.
If it is from ODS why don't you go with a simple ABAP program that does and saves it to a file?

How to change the column value which is coming from DO by a calculated field?
Hi all,
I want to change a column value based on my calculated field value. I have a column which is coming from DO which is based on External Data Source. I have a calculated field in my report. When there is any change in the calculated field then the column which is coming from DO needs to be changed. It means the DO needs to get updated when there is a change in the calculated field. Or like if the calculated field meets some condition then I need to change/update the same in the DO. This has to be done on the fly. the report should not submitted for this. when there is a change in the calculated column the DO column needs to get updated.

Trouble when attempting to Sum Calculated Field.
I had to create a calculated field called RI_Limit which contains static data. (Developers/DBA could not enter it into the database at this time, so this was a work around.
The calculated field is setup as such:

However, when I go to sub total or total, I get a much larger number than expected. (See screenshot)
I have searched the internet on a way to calculate both the total by Location Level 2 and LOB total, but nothing that pertains to the specific issue where by calculated field contains static data. Nothing I try produces an accurate sum. Any suggestions?Hi Katherine,

i have a rating column, in that i have 0,1,2,3,4,5 rating numbers and we call it "Total expected occurrence",
a single person can get same rating multiple times, if a person is getting >=4 rating no. we call it "Occurrence >= 4". now i have to find out the total
count of "Occurrence >=4" for a particular person from "Total expected occurrence" column,
once will get the net "Occurrence >=4" for everyone, it should divide
"Occurrence >=4"/ "Total expected occurrence" to take out the percentage of rating 4 for a particular person

TOTAL 22 37021 5 30271 PROBLEM: I need to have a running total of IPTV like in the above example. I can get the IPTV for each DIS/bld_mo but I don't know how to get the running total of it. In the script below I just used an example where I tried summing the IPTV like was done for build. I know it can't be done that way because IPTV is a calculated field in the query but if I substitute "APR_IPTV" with the formula for IPTV I get an error that window functions aren't allowed here. I do not know a way around this. I commented out the bad piece of code.

So you know how to compute iptv for an individual row; the problem now is that you want to get a running total of iptv; is that it?
The problem there is that computing iptv requires an analytic function, and analytic functions can't be nested. To get the results of nesting f (g (x)), where f and g are analytic funtions, you have to compute g in a sub-query, and then use the results as the argument to f in a super-query.

You can get those results if you need them; just explain the rules that govern whether to display the values and when to display NULL.

Cause and prerequisites
The fields must be located in table GLPCA (for actual) or GLPCP (for plan).
For Release 3.0F, you should ensure you have applied Note 62511 first.
Solution
To include a field in the actual line item report, proceed as follows:
Call the ABAP/4 Dictionary (Transaction SE11) and display table GLPCA. You can then find in a line the field name and data element for the field you want to include.
Return to the initial screen of the ABAP/4 Dictionary. Now change the structure RPCA2. If the structure does not yet contain the field, you select Edit -> Insert field; enter the field name and data element. Do not insert the new field at the beginning of the structure but in the rear half of the structure.
Then save and activate the structure.
Now call the ABAP Editor (Transaction SE38). Change the source code of program RCOPCA02. Insert the lines set out in the attachment in FORM routine FIELDCAT_FILL. When you do this, replace SGTXT by the field name of the field. If you normally want the field to be displayed when you the access the report, delete the line afield-no_out = 'X'. "<<<< insert Note 92864 .
You should note that the place where you insert the lines influences the position of the column in the report list.
To include a field in the Plan-line-item report, carry out the same procedure except with table GLPCP, structure RPCA8 and program RCOPCA08.
Note: Pls check if these 2 fields are available in any of the layout versions you have available with the transaction.

Date VS Date Time in Calculated Field
I have a property for a patients records called Date of Birth. On the table defining it I saved it as a "date" type and It displays only
the date on the screen as I would like. For some reason though when I needed a calculated field in the Medication record I added a property to the patient records table that concatenated two fields BirthDate and the Age. I used the following code and then
added an other screen data item on the medication screen to pull the DoBA property up but got a Date/Time instead of just a Date.

Calculated Field formula not appearing in Power View Field List panel

On Power View1 sheet of this
workbook, the two PowerPivot calculated Field formulas (First Visit and First date of FY) are not appearing in the Power View Fields panel on the right hand side.
I want to drag client and First Visit (calculated Field) to the Power View.
Why is this happening?
Regards, Ashish Mathur Microsoft Excel MVP www.ashishmathur.comI found a workaround for it - I was having the same problem as you. I wanted to display the last refresh date of my data, but Power View wouldn't display a date resulting from the [Last Refresh]=MAX(Date[Date]) formula.
HOWEVER, a Pivot Table can handle that Calculated field just fine. So I renamed my measure "Refreshed Date" and added another tab in the Excel Sheet. I added a Pivot Table from PowerPivot into cell A1 and the only thing I put was that single
measure (A2). To the right of that, I did =A2 and created an Excel Data Table. The title of that was "Last Refresh". Now, I could add that Data Table to the PowerPivot Model and into Power View. And then I hid that tab.
The only downside to this method, is that if you're refreshing single tables at a time, you have to remember to refresh the Pivot Table when new data is added AND update the data in the model. I'm only connecting to one database, so I just choose
"Refresh All" in Excel and it updates everything. It works perfectly! :)

Using a "Sum" Calculated Field on a "Count" query column?
Here's my query using the Query Report Builder:
SELECT Col1, COUNT(Col1) AS Count_Column
FROM Table
GROUP BY Col1
It generates a report that lists all the values of column
"Col1" and how many times each value was used in Col1
For instance, if Col1 contained the value 'A' 12 times, 'B' 6
times, and 'C' 19 times, the report would generate this:
A - 12
B - 6
C - 19
What i need as a column footer is the total count of all the
values, which in this case 12+6+19=37
I am using a calculated field, setting the data type to
Double, the calcuation to Sum, and the perform calculation on to
'query.Count_Column'. Reset Field When is set to None.
When I run the report, it doubles the last number in the
report's Count column (19) and displays 38 on the page. I tested
this with another column and it doubled the last number in the
report as well.
How can I get it to properly Sum my Count_Column?Hi,
You need to check note 208366.1 which explains why totals can be blank. Without knowing the detail of you decode function it is hard to say what needs to be changed. Try putting a sum in front of the decode e.g.
sum(decode(period, 'Jan period', value, 0))

I have created three very simple calculations i qualified tables. The calculated field as well as the fields that make up the calculation are qualifiers.
None of the calculated fields are updated!
I have tried to hit the recalculate button and calculated fields in the main table work without problems.
Is this a known limitation? What can I do to trigger the update?

This is not the case.
Suppose in Qualified table, you have 4 fields one Non-Qualifier and three Qualifiers say FNAME, LNAME and FULLNAME all of type text.
Now for Qualifier Field FULLNAME i define Property Calculated = Yes and In Calculation Expression I write as:
CONCAT(FNAME,LNAME)
So on updating Qualifiers Value value of Qualifier Calculated field FULLNAME get updated.
Suppose intially for a record i have qualifiers value as
FNAME LNAME
Mandeep Saini
FULLNAME = Mandeep;Saini
when i update value for these two qualifiers for the same record
FNAME LNAME
Alexander Isacson
then value in for Qualifier field FULLNAME get updated to Alexander;Isacson
i tried this and it is working fine.
