Include Core Java Package While using Javadoc
Hi there:
I have developed a java package which import the JavaSQL package. I would like to generate the technical document via Javadoc and include the JavaSQL APIs. Any idea?
Thanks, Joseph
Use the '-link' option of the standard doclet. This example will allow you to link to Sun's api's directly. Of course, you could also provide a link to an internal URL (could also be a file:// URL) where the SDK javadocs are located.
javadoc mypackage [...] -link http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.1/docs/api/

How can i indclude my own package when using 'javadoc'
hello,
i create my own package, say myPackage.
can i include it when using javadoc
thanksIn case you didn't get it from that last answer: You are not supposed to explicitly specify the java files, just the packages (the directories).
Cut-and-paste from the earlier supplied information:
Case 3 - Run from any directory on explicit packages in a single directory tree - In this case, it doesn't matter what the current directory is. Run javadoc supplying -sourcepath with the parent directory of the top-level package, and supplying names of one or more packages you want to document:
C:> javadoc -d C:\home\html -sourcepath C:\home\src java.awt java.awt.event
If you need to document more than one package, add a ";" and the package after the "C:\home\src" or whatever your package is called.
-d directory
Specifies the destination directory where javadoc saves the generated HTML files.
-sourcepath sourcepathlist
Specifies the search paths for finding source files (.java)

Cannot create class in system package while Using Sprite class
Hi i developed a game using Sprite class & imported
javax.microedition.lcdui.game.*; package. But when i tried to build this project it gave me "Cannot create class in system package" error. Worst thing is that now again if i build, then it displays error "package javax.microedition.lcdui.game.*; does not exist" . Pls help meFirst exception means that you tried to create a class with the package name equaling one from the predefined libraries in midp/cldc.
For your second error, add all the jars you are using into the project's classpath.

Java Error while Using GLobal Temporary Tables
Hi,
Am having a global temporary table in my application with ON COMMIT DELETE ROWS option.
I use it in a procedure to remove previous records, populate new ones and return a ref cursor
Am calling this procedure from a java bean. In this call, the procedure gets executed successfully but when i try to access the RefCursor Object, I get an SQL Exception that the object no longer exists.
Here are some inputs for reference:
My DB Call:
cstmt = myConn.prepareCall ("{ call MYPACKAGE.GTT_PROCEDURE(?,?,?,?,?, ?,?,?,?,?, ?,?,?,?,?)}");
My RefCursor Access:
rsRuleSet = (ResultSet)cstmt.getObject(11);
The SQLException:
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-08103: object no longer exists
Please note that the SQLException shown as per Java Stack trace is on the line with the RefCursor Access
If anybody has any idea, then do reply
Thanks in Advance,
PiyushA couple of thoughts...
Have you tried calling this procedure from PL/SQL to verify that the REF CURSOR returned is valid?
Is your Java application set to autocommit, or do handle transactions yourself. If the container is handling transactions, it may committing as soon as the stored procedure finishes running, which would clear your temp table.

Use of Java packages in Java stored procedures? (Oracle 10.2)
Hi all-
Does Oracle's Java stored procedures support Java packages? In all the examples I've seen, packages are never used, and when I added one to a test file, it compiled it just fine, but referencing the class from the package itself resulted in a compiling error.
In other words, it seems to make absolutely no difference if I preface my Java class with
package com.mycompany.whatever;
and while I can "import com.mycompany.whatever.MyClass" in another Java file, it seems to not care at all whether I do so or not.
Thanks for any clarification,
IlfordHi Ilford:
Sure you can use fully package notation in your Java classes.
Look at this Java source code:
http://dbprism.cvs.sourceforge.net/dbprism/cms-2.1/src/com/prism/cms/core/
All of them are Java Stored procedures.

Error while using Create or Replace Java Soruce ....
Hello,
I am very much new to JAVA. I got requirement which is very urgent.
I have a Java file in the UNIX box and i am trying to put them in the Data base and call them through the PLSQL Package.
These Java files were using for OA Framework, Now i have to use these files through PLSQL.
1) In order to call java files in through PLSQL, first we need to create Java soruce.(CREATE OR REPLACE AND RESOLVE JAVA SOURCE NAMED...
..... java class)
2) Once this is compiled, then we can able to access through PLSQL Package. Is this correct.
While doing So i am getting following errors when creating the JAVA SOURCE.
Class oracle.apps.jtf.aom.transaction.TransactionScope not found in import
Class oracle.apps.jtf.base.resources.FrameworkException not found in import.
Class oracle.apps.jtf.base.resources.FrameworkException not found in import.
Class oracle.apps.jtf.util.ErrorStackUtil not found in import.
Class oracle.apps.jtf.util.FndConstant not found in import.
But i am using
import oracle.apps.jtf.aom.transaction.TransactionScope;
import oracle.apps.jtf.base.resources.FrameworkException;
import oracle.apps.jtf.cache.CacheManager;
import oracle.apps.jtf.util.ErrorStackUtil;
import oracle.apps.jtf.util.FndConstant;
Can anyone please let me know why this error is comming up.
Thanks,
Srikanth.You seem to be new to java and three tier archietecture, probably from sql background. First understand the difference between an application server and database server.Java files reside in application server and not database server.
In order to load OAF java files to server you need to put the files at appropriate location under JAVA_TOP and compile them using javac command to generate class files. Or else you can directly put the class files but it will give compile time errors if you don't have all dependencies locally.
You need to upload UI xml files in MDS repository in db server and other xml files under appropriate directory structure under JAVA_TOP.
Read dev guide for details.This is really an interesting TAR for Oracle support guys!

I have created a test program to check the behaviour of setting the java.rmi.server.ignoreStubClasses property to true on the server side and not setting this flag on the client side.
This requirement is due to updation of an already running system, with stubs to a new version without stubs, without shutting down the system.
The files used by me are given below.
File Hello.java
package example.hello;
import java.rmi.Remote;
import java.rmi.RemoteException;
public interface Hello extends Remote {
String sayHello() throws RemoteException;
File Server.java
package example.hello;

Server obj = new Server();
Hello stub = (Hello) UnicastRemoteObject.exportObject(obj, 0);
// Bind the remote object's stub in the registry
Registry registry = LocateRegistry.getRegistry();
registry.bind("Hello", stub);
System.err.println("Server ready");
catch (Exception e)
System.err.println("Server exception: " + e.toString());

private Client() {}
public static void main(String[] args) {
String host = (args.length < 1) ? null : args[0];

String response = stub.sayHello();
System.out.println("response: " + response);
} catch (Exception e) {
System.err.println("Client exception: " + e.toString());
e.printStackTrace();
First I run file Server.java using the following script (server.bat)

I am not able to figure out why this thing is happening, If i also set the property java.rmi.server.ignoreStubClasses=true on the client side everything goes fine. But this I can't do. I can't set the property on the client side as the system is up and already running.
I am using JDK version 1.5.0_06. Same exception comes under JDK 6.0
Any help will be highly appreciated.I think this is a bug. When you exported the Registry from your server JVM it was also exported with java.rmi.server.ignoreStubClasses=true, but the Registry bootstrap at the client requires the 1.1 stub protocol for compatiblity reasons so you got this error. I would report this on the Bug Parade.
You could get around it by setting java.rmi.server.ignoreStubClasses after exporting the Registry.
BTW java.rmi.server.ignoreStubClasses isn't supposed to do anything at the client whether true or false so you can cut your testing space in half. -
I am putting together a proposal for a Final Cut Pro Workstation to use with a tapeless HD camera. Can anyone suggest the best camera (in the 5-10,000 dollar range) ? What hardware and software should I include in the package?
This is quite an open suggestion, but here are some ideas which might get you started. There are good HD cameras in your price range from Sony, Panasonic and Canon (and maybe other manufacturers). Tapeless formats vary. I have only worked with Sony XDCAM which seems pretty good to me. File sizes for material shot at 35MBS are not too huge and, with the free Sony transfer and conversion programme, are easy to bring into the computer via USB direct from the camera or from a fairly inexpensive converter. The Sony XDCAM EX3 can produce results well up to broadcast quality.
As to hardware, you'll need a powerful MAC - iMac, Macbook Pro or MacPro with 4GB or more of RAM and a good video card. Softwarewise, FCPX is quite a bit cheaper than FC Studio 3 and of course it's 64bit and can make better use of multi-core machines than FCP7. It's also designed to handle HD formats with less hassle than FCP7 and is matched to the latest versions of Motion and Compressor. But you'd probably be wise to search reviews of FCPX before you make your choice - it has some issues.
A good HD monitor will be essential and, for colour correction etc, you may want to consider a second monitor or HD TV foe editing. ( A MacPro is generally the best machine to connect a second monitor to).
This should give you a good editing system, but there are many other things you could add (Photoshop, professional sound monitors, etc)
Hope this helps a bit.

Properties files in a Java package not included in DC build
We are developing a Portal Standalone DC and i have a JspDynPage component within it. and i need to do internationalization in it. so as part of that i want to keep multiple resource bundles(properties) so that i could manage my properties files easily, For example
MSS.properties
MSS_es.properties
ESS.properties
LSO.properties
since portal by default has no way to do this bcos it allows only one resourcebundle to specify in portalapp.xml file, i have kept the resource bundles in java package like
com.companyname.portal.resources.
when i export from NWDS with selection of "i want to add non java resources into jar " option from windows->preferences->enterprise portal ->application development studio, it exports all the properties files as part of the par and everything works. but when i do the DC build it ignores all my properties files and it is not working. any suggestions on how to resolve this??? does SAP provide any other way of handling multiple properties files inside a PAR?????We are using NWDS 2004 SP19. and yes i have defined three default SCs as dependencies. I tested with 2004s NWDS and it seems work fine. I am able to resovle this issue by moving my properties files into another java DC and create public part in java DC and use those public parts in Portal application DC.
So The problem of not including the properties files into Jar seems to be issue only in Portal Application DC not in Java DC. thanks everyone for the quick responses.. -
Include XSL file while using API
Hello,
I want to use the include tag to include a XSL Stylesheet to my RTF while using the API
If I run the report locally I use:
<?import:file:///C:/temp/htmlmarkup.xsl?>
If I run the report on APPS I use:
<?import:xdo://INV.HTMLMARKUP.de.DE?>
But what do I refer if I am in the context of the APIs? My XSL file is in the java-resource-tree available under:
com.my.application.bi.resource.style.htmlmarkup.xsl
But I allways get XML-22002: (Fatal Error) Error while processing include XSL file
Any hints for me?
Best Regards
AlexanderNo, you cannot do this. Using the Acrobat SDK a programmer can combine PDF files using OLE.

NoClassDefFound error when using custom Java package in scripting QPAC
Hi,
I compiled a little Java-package (.jar), which contains a class that uses
com.adobe.workflow.datatype.form.FormDataTypeInstanceImpl.
I put my library in the lib folder of JBoss (...\server\all\lib).
Then I'm was trying to invoke my custom class in the scripting QPAC. But I'm constantly getting the error message
NoClassDefFound com\adobe\workflow\datatype\form\FormDataTypeInstanceImpl. I already put
adobe-wkf.jar (and various others) in the lib folder of JBoss. Without ever succeeding. Unfortunately.
I'm going mad about this.
Is there a way to address a custom package in the scripting QPAC, which uses
FormDataTypeInstanceImpl?
SteveRemoving the LiceCycle jars from the lib folder did not work. I still get the same error message.
What I wanted to do is provide some basic utilities, without having to spend a lot of time designing QPAC user interfaces.
My utility class contains methods like this one:
@param
pFormData
@return
@throws
ParserConfigurationException
@throws
SAXException
@throws
IOException
public static
org.w3c.dom.Document formToXml
FormDataTypeInstanceImpl pFormData
throws
ParserConfigurationException, SAXException, IOException
byte
data = pFormData.getXFAData
InputStream objXMLInputStream =
new
ByteArrayInputStream
data
// create new Document object
DocumentBuilderFactory objFactory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance
DocumentBuilder objBuilder = objFactory.newDocumentBuilder
org.w3c.dom.Document objDocument = objBuilder.parse
objXMLInputStream
return
objDocument;
Even without ever invoking the aforementioned method, I get the error
NoClassDefFound: FormDataTypeInstanceImpl. Which is pretty weird.
Do I have to write my own classloader?
