Include html pages with various langs in a jsp page

I build an internationalized web site with struts... it works great.
My problem is that i think it is not practical to use <bean:message ...> for large text pages (like "Terms of Use" page) - think of the problematic text value size of the attribute in the properties file...
So i build a "wrapper jsp" that include the correct html according to the user language, here it is://suppose i have terms_en.html, terms_ru.html, terms_iw.html files...

</html:html>Now, it works just fine with english and my default locale, i.e the locale defined in the "Regional Settings" at the control panel. other languages are displayed incorrectly and if i want to see a language correctly then i have to change the default locale in the "Regional Settings" at the control panel.
Is there any way to solve my problem?
I'm ready to hear any suggestions... if you have other way than include...

Yes, i meant to say larg text as a lot of words in a
page. it is quite hard editing text in a property
file, especially if i want to add some style and html
tags. i can't think of editing a page like the "Terms
of Use" in a property file, although i'm using "Zaval
Java Resource Editor"

to edit property files it is far from being text
editor.

I read (and as many have mentioned), page encoding is not carried to jsp:include. There is no work-around at program level (unless u open the file and write it to the output..maybe).
Then I found out the discrepancies of my PC and the staging server. They are of different locale, which leads to different result.
In my case, my PC is with zh_TW.big5 and the staging is en_US.UTF-8, so the inclusion mess up when i stage the programs.
So I change the locale of the staging server and everything works fine.
Let me guess in your case if you are using UTF-8 you probably need to choose a locale with UTF8. Please try if this is the solution for you.

How to include custom taglib in javascript on a given jsp page?
i have a jsp page on which i am adding selectboxes using javascript.
But now i have created my own custom select box and want to add it on a given jsp page.
is the code to create the box box.

when the jsp page is loaded for the first time it contains a select box containg names created by a taglib.but there is a feature i want to add wherein though javascript the name selectebox will keep on coming on each row i want to add. and this is row addition and deletion is being handled by the javascript. there i encounter the bug how to interact the javascript with taglib so tha with each row addition i will have populated taglib created select box on each row.

FIREFOX 26 changed the 'post crash' page with the list of windows and pages. It was a real HTML page with links for each page. Now it isn't (and blows)

This used to be a real HTML page and it isn't any more. THis choice was pure isiocy consider how peopel used that page every day (try taking to your users for a change).
The pages listed on that 'post crash page' used to be actual LINKS (you could right click them &
manually open them in another tab - and most peope DID that every day). You could also (and I did this a lot) drag a second
copy of the page, into a new tab (to keep track of all the pages I had not wanted to open)
Now the pages are no longer links. You cannot right-click them.
The thing in the probser is no longer a page that I can drag into a new tab.
Roll the version back and throw this one in the bin...and have a good long talk with your developers about the definition of
'STUPIDITIY'
Then I try to type anything in the addres bar it is suppose to repoond with the history of old things I have types in the past, or
search for what I type (and in some cases I think it tyes to convert it intoa URL). However it no longer does any of these
things. When I type in the ADDRESS BAR ONLY, I do not get all of my letters to appear. I have to type into a notepad or
into the search and to copy and paste to go to a URL. Nothing that is typed into the address bad responds normally at all
anymore, and I am fairly certain there are no new addons on this machine at all. It does not matter which things I disable. It
still does this. W of course points the finger back at a change to FIREFOX. I wich I could just sitct with one stable release
forever but the MOZILLA folk thing it is best to force peopel awy from a working broswer release to a horrible one (due to it
being out of date).
FIREFOX 26.0 has 'issues' (ie new *features*/bugs)
1) History is no longer accurate. My Proof? This machine is the primary one for the entire family (the only PC working). It is
logged in with same user every time and never has its history cleared. It now January 7 so I ought to have a list of all of last
months browing available to me.
However, according to FIREFOX history, in all of December 2013, the entire family only went to 51 primary URL's. None of
the official TV sites I use to get episodes are listed. None of the official movie sites I use are listed. The primary URL for
ebay is not listed. Only 1 out of our 4 weather sites that I use (at least once a week) are listed. Only 1 of our 3 FINANCE
sites is listed. There ought to be several; hundred root URLs listed.
Please fix history as this change seriously "blows greasy chunks"
PROBLEM (a stupid change in the new FIREFOX version)
FOr a long time, after a crash you got a useful page (a real HTML page) which gave you a list of all of your last sessions
'winwos and tabs' that were open when the browser crashed. there were certain ways of using this page that are no longer
able to be done.
The old method was wonderful as it had this behavior :
*** The old method for displaying your 'Recovered Tabs' allowed you to :
a) right click an individual item and open it in a tab without getting rid of that lovely window of your previous session of
'recovered windows and tabs '.
2) drag the URL for the entire window of 'recovered windows and tabs ' to a new tab (to make a second copy) so that you
could select just a few of them to open as a group, and stil have the old list handy.
You can no longer do either of these things. The 'recovered windows and tabs ' page no longer has links in it and can no longer be dragged, so you cant select a few of them to use, and keep the rest around for later. NOW - once you choose which pages to open the window is gone forever (can can't get a second copy).
People used to make a copy of the page for later use (with a drag)
we also used to open pages with a right click (which no longer functions
This new method seriously blows big greasy chunks. A parge loss in function has occurred.
Put things back as they were. 26 is full of terrible changes that NOBODY likes. It also has a lot of bugs (history is not reliable at all)

(1) Firefox's built-in post-crash page has not been a real HTML page for a long time (for example, from the time of Firefox 22, see: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/968212 Want to save LOTS of versions of "Restore Session.xht" from the "oops ..." page for later use]). If you had this working differently with Firefox 25, that might have been created by an extension.
You can check to see whether extensions are disabled or need an update on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. The disabled extensions cluster toward the bottom of the list. To poll for updates, use the "gear" button above the list and choose Check for Updates.
If you used the Reset feature (or Firefox automatically did a reset due to some problem during upgrading), you will need to reinstall missing extensions. The reset feature creates a folder on the desktop named Old Firefox Data. Do you have that folder? There may be data you can recover from it.
(2) There are many ways for history to get cleared, both internal to Firefox and external. Could you double-check your Privacy settings?

* The "Firefox will" drop-down says Remember History: Firefox shouldn't be clearing history, but an add-on or external software could do it
* The "Firefox will" drop-down says Use custom settings for history: inspect the "Clear history when Firefox closes" setting to make Firefox isn't set to clear history. Also check your add-ons and consider external software.
Firefox normally accumulates months of history. However, some of Firefox's database sizes are based on disk space available. If your hard drive is very full, Firefox might reduce the amount of history stored.

Also, I did a getClass().getClassLoader() when I create the objects in my servlet code and again on the JSP pages for each object I pull out of the vector and the class loader matched.
I even changed the package on my bean class and recompiled everything to make sure it wasn't a old .class file floating around.

but the explanation of what was done wasn't clear
Anyone have any idea what's going on here?

Is ti at all possible that you have another jar / zip file with the same class file in it, seemingly away from the Server classpath ? In which case this could happen even though logically it shouldn't !!!

Problem with displaying BLOB images on JSP page using a servlet

hi. I have a big problem with displaying BLOB images using JSP. I have a servlet that connects to the oracle database, gets a BLOB image , reads it, and then displays it using a BinaryStream. The problem is , this works only when i directly call that servlet, that is http://localhost:8080/ImageServlet. It doesn't work when i try to use that servlet to display my image on my JSP page (my JSP page displays only a broken-image icon ) I tried several coding approaches with my servlet (used both Blob and BLOB objects), and they work just fine as long as i display images explicitly using only the servlet.
Here's what i use : ORACLE 10g XE , Eclipse 3.1.2, Tomcat 5.5.16 , JDK 1.5
here is one of my image servlet's working versions (the essential part of it) :

I turns out that it wasn't that big of a problem after all. All i had to do was to take the above code and place it into another JSP page instead of into a servlet like i did before. Then i just used that page as a source for my IMG tag in my first JSP. It works perfectly well. Why this doesn't work for servlets i still don't know, but it's not a problem form me anymore . Ofcourse if someone knows the answer , go ahead and write. I would still appriceatte it.

All downloads through Firefox are not opening correctly. Bookmarks open up a page with links flush left down the page that do not work. All file downloads do not open correctly with the same issue as bookmarks. Want to avoid losing all my bookmarks so don

Something happened in the last day with FF. IE downloads files correctly. FF Delicious bookmarks open up a page with blue links that look like an outline but they are not my links. My downloads do the same. No virus.

That can be caused by having some bookmarks with a long title in the main Bookmarks menu.
The width of a column in the Bookmarks menu list is in current Firefox versions automatically adjusted to fit the bookmark with the longest name.
You can check the names of the bookmarks and make the longer ones shorter.

Problem with printing debug statements in JSP page

Hi all,
I am debugging an application with System.out.println() statements - my debug statements in the *.java class printed just fine, but when I do the same thing in my JSP page, nothing gets printed out.
I am already wrapping my System.out.println() statements inside the <% %> tag.
Does anyone know what may be causing this? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Where do you expect to see the output?
System.out.println will write to the console/logs
They WON'T write to the JSP page.
If you check your error/output logs you will probably find the statements there.
If you want to print things into the JSP page, just use out.println.
"out" is an implicit reference to the current JSPWriter.

Problem with access to SipFactory from jsp-pages in JBoss environment

I have an installation of the OCMS 10.1.3.3. deployed into a JBoss (jboss-4.0.5.GA) environment. Unfortunately I have a problem with accessing the SipFactory from a jps-page. Encouraged by the "messagesender" example I tried to get an instance of SipFactory from my jsp-page simply by calling:
SipFactory sipFactory = (SipFactory) application.getAttribute(SipServlet.SIP_FACTORY);
But unfortunately there seems to be no attribute "SipServlet.SIP_FACTORY" and I only get a null pointer. I have also tried running that code in the orignal messagesender example but it didn't work either. So I wonder if this should definetely work in a JBoss environment or if this might be a known problem. Is there anything that I could check/do regarding this problem? I suppose there must be an oracle module which should take care of making the SipFactory availabe after it is deployed. Perhaps something went wrong during the deployment?!

On JBoss, OCMS does not support converge applications.
I.e the SipFactory can be retrieved from the servlet context when running on OC4J.
Instead the SipFactory can be found in JNDI as described in the Developer's Guide:
"External Access to SIP Servlets
To enable convergent applications between SIP and HTTP, the OCMS Container allows you to get access to the javax.servlet.sip.SipFactory by looking it up through JNDI. The SIP Factory will be registered under the same name as the display name of your SIP servlet as illustrated in Example 2–12. The <display-name> in the sip.xml in this case must be "My sip app".

Servlet with no dynamic code inside jsp pages

Hello,
          I saw that a servlet is created even if there is no dynamic code inside jsp pages (scriplets & tags). Is it possible to avoid it on bea side ? (I am using portal 8).
          By the way, do you know if is it possible to define apache in order to avoid to send to bea the jsp which have no dynamic code inside ?

JSP's always generate a servlet on all web containers. Apache/Tomcat is no
          different. If you have static content, make it an HTML page.

When I print I get multiple pages with a little print on all pages of what I want printed

when I print I get multiple pages with what I am printing with a few lines on each page till what I have printed is complete.

Thanks for the additional info. Lets try downloading and running the Print and Scan doctor located here. It can fix a lot on its own but if not it will give us a better idea of what is going on. The weak signal is not likely the culprit (as it has been working for a good while) but we can try altering that if other steps fail.

How to query from view with parameter, only when the JSP-page loading

I use JSF/ADF BC, create two viewes:view1 and view2, in the JSP page the user press a button to query from the view1, but I hope the view2 can be queried only when the page loading, it have no relation with user-operator, and pass the column value of view2 into some variables, the view2 return one record.

I am thinking of writing an applet that would be useful to others, which I would provide for free. In return I would want a link from the pages that use the applet. It is important that the link is search engine friendly, a pure href html link that will provide google page rank to me.
Is there a way to include such a link with an applet so that it can't be removed?

No. You can't force other sites to change their content.

I have a godaddy website with a welcome page- I need help adding a few additional pages with a hyperlink to my welcome page.

I need help attaching a few hyperlinks my godaddy welcome page. I have 2 more ipages articles, I also converted them to pdf. Godaddy only helped (last year) with the 1st article. I do not know how to attach a hyperlink to the artlcles and add the hyperlinks to my welcome page.

The program is called Pages not iPages. Just let us know if you do not speak English and what language you do speak so we can adjust for that.
The issues are to do with your web page not with Pages.
I think you are asking how to link from your web page to your pdf articles. You must first copy those pdfs to your web server, or some other web location, and then provide html links on your welcome page to those pdf files.
The pdfs themselves may contain links to other locations but I can not see that that is what you are asking for.
Nor to what those links would be to.
From your heading I think you may have confused the name of Pages, the word processing program, with web pages which are two different things.
