Include one *.jspx page in another

Hello, I've got problem with including one *.jspx page in another.
My pages:

why this doesn't work? When I paste content from include.jspx page it works...

I think you need to review how ADF works. After that, create a page fragment with the code you want to include. Create a task flow and insert the page fragment. Insert the taskflow as a region in your jspx page and that's all.

I divided one jspx page into 2 parts(Left and Right). In Left side part contain Tree component. Onclick on any node in Tree component, Include another jspx page in Right side. The included jspx contain one submit button. If I click on that button corresponding backing bean is not getting call.
If I tested with individual pages its working fine. It is getting fail when ever I included jspx page into another.

HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden error when auto including a jspx page

Hi All -
We have a situation where one of different reports pages gets included inside a main reports page based on user selection via a selectOneChoice control.
But when the Reports Main page tab is clicked for the first time we get a "You are not authorized to view this page" HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden error.
Upon clicking "Refresh" and then clicking the Reports Main page tab again, the page renders correctly.
This is our code snippet. All the report related pages(MainPage.jspx, Schedule.jspx and Budget.jspx) are inside a reports folder under the context root. Please help.

We have solved this, temproarily. But don't know if this is the best method to do this. Please post if somepne has a better way of doing this.
While debugging we found that the ${backing_Reports.measureSelected} field which was set to a default value in backing bean was returned as null when the page renders for the first time. So we had a work around like this in our MainPage.jspx

Include a html page in another html page

How do I include a html page in another html page? I have 7
separate page making up a website. I made a separate page for the
bottom navigation which I want to include for each page. Instead of
making up a separate nav bar for each page.

stand-alone HTML
page - it must not contain <html>, <head>, or

Passing parameters from one OAF page to another OAF PAge

I was wondering, if there is a possibility of passing request parameters from one page to another page in EBS ( E-Business Suite).
I tried using the following
a) PageContext.putParamater ( "MyParamater", "ParamaterValue")
b) I addded the above line of code by extending an page controller of the OAF page and personalized the page
When I am trying to retrieve the value by getParameter() in the next page. I am also unable to get access to the parameter in the next page.
I am trying the above code while trying to create expenses in I-Expense module...I would like to pass the ReportHeaderId from one page to another page for customization purposes. I Am not able to get ReportHeaderId in the ReviewPAge...There are no Business Objects in the Review page...hence trying the putParameter idea.
Any help will be highly appreciated

What is the source of the parameter? If the source is a VO, you can use the method I have specified in my previous post regarding updating the button properties. For example, you can include the param in the destination URL of the button as such:
OA.jsp?page=/xyz/oracle/apps/.../myPG&retainAM=Y&addBreadCrumb=Y&myParam={@ParamSource}
where ParamSource is an attribute from a VO.
You can get this value via oapagecontext.getParameter()
Can you please give details as to the source of your params (param-1, param-2, etc.). This will help in providing you suggestions.

i m trying to include a jsp page name "header.jsp" into one jsp page name"selectattribute.jsp" i m using these commands in "selectattribute.jsp"

but the problem is that , i m invoking this jsp page "selectattribute.jsp" from a servlet reportcontroller.java using REQUEST DISPATCHER.
the servlet is in
C:\Program files\tomcat 4.0\webapps\examples\WEB-INF\classes\Project\
i want to know how to include some other jsp page in a jsp page and how to invoke applet from jsp page when that particular jsp page is being invoked by servlet.

I never tried calling an applet. I think you can write the code for calling the applet in a javabean method and call the method in the jsp

Insert one html page into another html page

Hi there,
I wonder if sombody can help. I am trying to insert one short
html page into another page. I could not find any option or feature
in Dreamweaver that allow me to insert the page at all. The page I
want to insert has the links and it is a short page, just like a
banner. When I update the links on that page it will update all
other pages in the website. I do not have to open many pages to
update. I have been using FrontPage and I am now converting to
Dreamweaver. Some codes from FrontPage does not work in
Dreamweaver. I would very much appreciate if somebody can help with
the codes.
This is my website so that you can understand what I mean. At
the top of the screen there are many links that are from one page I
inserted into index.html. I use FrontPage. But, Dearmweaver does
not work that way.

Passing an array from one jsp page to another.

I need to pass an array from one page to another, without using the query string.
Can anyone help?
I was given one suggestion about putting the array inside a Map object, then putting the map in the session.
Is there an alternative? i am struggling to find out how to use maps properly.
Alternatively, could someone give me a pointer on how to implement this possibility?

How to get the value in one JSP page to another?

I have problems in passing the value around in JSP. I have two JSP pages as below:
test1.jsp
I try to get the vaule from my textbox by using:
String strUser = request.getParameter ("strUserName");
Then i print out by using: out.print(strUser); then i can get the value and put on my page (For example, i get ABC on my page).
test2.jsp
Next, i want to get the value from strUser (which mean that the one i already display on page in test1.jsp, ABC) to insert into my table by using INSERT INTO statement. Then i try by using
String strUser1 = request.getParameter ("strUser");
Is it possbile for me to do that? I cannot get anything to insert into my table. Then i tried out.print(strUser1); then i found that i get NULL value.
Could you please give me some guidance?

When i click on the BID button in the logged_page.jsp then i always get the last record and save into my table and that is not what i want to. i want to get the result on the same row as the BID button that just click and save to my table.

Problem in passing data from one .jsp page to another .jsp page

i have a problem here
Actually i have 2 jsp pages. What im trying to do here is actually i want to pass data from the first jsp page to the second for updating
The first jsp page contains data that user wants to update in the form of table.

So this page displays the data that users wants to update plus one image button (edit button). So when user clicks this button, all the data in this page will be brought to the second .jsp page called updatePersonal for updating.
The problem here is that it is not displaying the existing data in the second .jsp page.
The second page basically contains forms
<INPUT TYPE="text" NAME="FirstName" maxlength="30" value = "<%=FirstName%>">
Can someone please help me. I really dont know what to do..How do i get the data displayed in the text field that is passed from the first .jsp page..thankx in advance

Accessing cookies from one portal page to another page

I have 3 pages in Portal 3.0.8-Oracle 8.1.7.
I have some problem in the cookies.
I will be thankful if your help me to
solve my problem.
The first page get the username and password
through a procedure based portal form.
Then it will check the username and password
with the table and redirects to a corresponding page,if the value is correct. In the second and the third page i need the username and password. For that i used cookies to retrive. But some time it works and some times it wont works. I feel the coding which i used is with bugs.
If you tell me how to write the cookies
and to retirve the cookies in the forms i will try that and it will be the solution for my problem. I am expecting your reply .

Static include in ADF page.

Hi All,
I tried a lot for static include in .jspx pages with ADF Faces but couldn't find a solution for implementing.
jsp has two include directives 1) @include 2) jsp:include.
I would like to include one jspx page in other jspx page statically similar to @include functionality of jsp. How can we achieve this with ADF Faces jspx pages?
It is most common requirment in web development that header and footer will be created in separate files and will be statically included in all pages but ADF Faces doesn't seem to support this feature.
SRDemo exmple says to create a template first and then use this template to create other pages but this approach can't be used as it is always possible that there is a change in template it self.

You can perform an either static or even dynamic page inclusion (JSPX within another JSPX) regarding that you have to follow these rules:
1 - The Included page must use a subview element instead of a view one, considering that in case of more than one simultaneous page inclusion, they must have unique identifiers.
2 - In case that the included page has its own standalone page definition, then things become more complicated (till JDeveloper 10.1.3.3), and you have to perform some work arounds using the page element within the container-page page definition to get access to its children-pages page definitions.

Including jspx page into Panel Tabbed !!

I want to create windows explorer interface which consists of two main areas:
First one represented as a tree and the second to show the details of the selected item in the tree. I want the detail area to be as tabbed so that multiple tabs can be seen at a time, I developed most of this issue.
Here is my question:
How to include a jspx page into one of the tabs (showDetailItem) created in the panel tabbed, I've tried <jsp:include> but it didn't work

not sure what you mean by Panel Tabbed, but you should be able to do something like the following so that when user clicks on a tab, the proper page will load:
