Include zip file as resource for project

Is it possible to include a zip file as a project resource? Currently when building I get a warning that archive zip is not supported and has been ignored. I tried adding a copy files build phase but that reports the same error. At the moment I am manually copying the file to the app directory after building and prior to deploying. I wondered if there is some standard way of getting around this.
Thanks in advance for all help/suggestions.

I just had to compress a sqlite database in my project because of size. I gave it an extension of .gz instead of .zip and had no issues with either adding it to the project or having it deploy as a resource. It decompressed fine as well using the built-in zlib library.
Hope that helps,
Richard

Yes, if you duplicate without the render files and delete the original project you lose the render files. But render files get recreated - automatically if you have it set in the preferences (which is the default option). It just takes time.

I think it's built in, just double click on it and it should open with Archive Utility. I dunno, maybe Unrar X might work for you>

  • Have an i pad mini and have started an online course. Documents sent via Dropbox and need to know best app to buy to enable me to use documents offline. Documents include zip files and powerpoint. cheers

i have an ipad mini and have started online course.documents sent to Dropbox. Mixture of word documents, zip files and powerpoint. Need to be able to use documents offline. any suggestions on suitable app that would enable me to transfer documents and work with them off line?

Depends on what you mean by "work with them offline". If you mean store the documents so you can access them if not connected to the internet, you already have it: DropBox.you can download files from the cloud an use them offline. You will need an app to handle the zip files: I use File Manager, but there are others. File Manager also intergrates with dropbox, Google Drive, and iCloud. If you only need to read them, these apps will take care of that for you.
As for editing, there are a few options. All have their limitations.
Some possible apps to look at:
    Pages, Numbers (Apple)
    Document (by Savy soda)
    document 2 go
    Quickoffice
    CloudOn
    Smart Office
Make sure to read botht he descriptions and the reveiws carefully

  • Can I include java files into my javafx project?

If I do so, exception always occurs until I delete the created java files.

Suppose I include the following class in my project (all other classes are of .jx type)
    public interface ServicePortType extends java.rmi.Remote{
        public String getMessage() throws java.rmi.RemoteException;
}However if I'm trying to run the whole project,
    the following exception occurs:

    C:\Documents and Settings\daps-stg\My Documents\NetBeansProjects\ProductionPath\nbproject\build-impl.xml:143: exec returned: -1

So how is this happening and what is the potential solution?

  • Render control file not valid for" project.aep -- Please Help!

    I'm using AE CC
I've read all the discussions I could find on this topic to fix this problem.
All my computers are mapped correctly. The file that I'm sending at this point is very basic.  Once jpg sequence (as a test) name shadowMatte - no spaces, underscores, very basic.
-The file is set for multimachine rendering in render queue
-I collected files with 'Collect Source Files: None' , Enable  'Watch Folder' render' checked
I'm not new to using multi machine rendering, this time around I just can't seem to get it to work...
all render slaves at least 8 gigs of ram.
Any help on this matter would be GREATly appreciated.

  • Optimum File Size/Resoluton for Projection Slideshow

Although I've looked through some of the threads here I'm still a little confused and wondered if anybody could just simply guide me through this process:
    1. I'm having an exhibition where my photographs are being projected, apparently, "using a screen resolution of 1024x768". The projected image size seems to be around 4-5ft across. I've been asked to supply my file of photographs but as there are a lot of them I would like them to be the optimum size for best quality, and not larger than necessary (for portability reasons). The gallery owner, using a Mac, says he will then create a slideshow.
    2. I'm starting from my portfolio of "master" psd images of around 35MB which, in other words, would give a print size of roughly 14" x 9" @ 300 dpi. Obviously this is way too high and I need to downsize them (while converting to jpeg presumably). But to what? 150ppi? 100?
    3. For my own peace of mind (and as a back-up) I might create the slideshow myself in iPhoto. I don't use iPhoto much but from reading the threads here apparently it's not difficult to do. I think I have to export it at the end to a Quicktime movie. Are there any resolution-type pitfalls that I should be aware of while either creating the Slideshow or exporting it?
    Any replies very much appreciated.

Doesn't matter. Ppi or dpi only have relevance when you are printing. Have a read of [this|http://www.rideau-info.com/photos/mythdpi.html]
Just make sure the images are 1024 x 768.

No, as resolution is meaningless in this context.
Create an Album of the Images. Arrange them in the Order you prefer.
Click on the + lower left and select 'Slideshow'
Make your choices of theme, transitions etc.
Click on Export lower right. I would suggest using the Display setting, but there are custom export options too.
This really is more simple than you think.

  • How to include attachments to the standard PO approval notifications attachments.zip file?

    Hi,
    Oracle EBS 12.0.6 and 12.1.3
Following the ML Note Adding an Attachments Table Using Personalization [ID 790344.1], I have added an attachments table to the PO Supplier Change Request page. I am able to upload attachments and can see them in the tables. How can I include these attachments in the workflow notifications? When the notifications are received, PO pdf is attached and an attachments.zip file is included with other attachments but not the ones that I have uploaded using the new attachments table.
To find how Oracle is able to attach files to a single zip file, I searched for "ZIP_ATTACHMENT" keyword in dba_source table and found it is being done in the APPS.PO_COMMUNICATION_PVT.GENERATE_PDF_BUYER package procedure.  Do I have to modify this procedure or is there a less invasive way, which is upgrade proof too?
    Thanks.

  • Include files from a different project ...

    Hi,
    I have projects A and B.
Project A contains "includes": a directory with several include files.
Project A gets deployed as a JAR file (ProjectA.jar). Example content:
/includes/menu.jspfThe target directory for Project A's deployment JAR file is set to: /
Project A has the following HTML Root Directory: ...AppA\ProjectA\public_html
Project B has the following HTML Root Directory: ...AppB\ProjectB\public_html
Project B needs the include files from Project A.
Project B has Project A as a dependency.
Project B has ProjectA.jar within its WEB-INF\lib directory.
    The problems are:
    1. Project B does not see the "includes" directory within its "Web Content" folder from Project A. How do you make Project B see Project A's includes directory?
    2. Project B cannot compile the following code:
    <jsp:directive.include file="/includes/menu.jspf" />
...The error message: Include file not found: /includes/menu.jspf
The error message is to be expected as Project B cannot currently see the files located within WEB-INF\lib\ProjectA.jar. How can this be fixed?
    3. I have tried changing the HTML Root Directory to the "public_html" directories from both Project A and Project B. JDeveloper then displays an error indicating that it cannot find <%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core" prefix="f"%>.
There should be a way to do this, as the images and styles for ADF are successfully deployed and used within WEB-INF\temp\adf.
    Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
I used a program called "Junction" to resolve this issue. It is a temporary solution.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896768.aspx
The program makes a true symbolic link. This allowed me to link the includes directory from ProjectA into ProjectB. Linking this way will not work when we go to deploy a suite of applications. We would prefer to package the includes in a single JAR file, then redeploy the JAR file everywhere.
    Any other ideas?

  • Include XSL file while using API

    Hello,
I want to use the include tag to include a XSL Stylesheet to my RTF while using the API
If I run the report locally I use:
    <?import:file:///C:/temp/htmlmarkup.xsl?>
If I run the report on APPS I use:
    <?import:xdo://INV.HTMLMARKUP.de.DE?>
But what do I refer if I am in the context of the APIs? My XSL file is in the java-resource-tree available under:
    com.my.application.bi.resource.style.htmlmarkup.xsl
But I allways get XML-22002: (Fatal Error) Error while processing include XSL file
    Any hints for me?
    Best Regards
    Alexander

No, you cannot do this. Using the Acrobat SDK a programmer can combine PDF files using OLE.

  • How to See .zip Files in All My Files in Finder

Is there any way to tell All My Files to include .zip files?

Maybe I don't understand the question. When you save the file, you'll be asked to name the Folder and if you want to save it to the Sidebar. If you save it to the Sidebar as shown in the second screenshot, it creates a Smart Folder, which I named zip. So Save As: zip.  Whenever you want to find a zip file on your System, just look in Smart Folder in the Finder Sidebar

  • Why can't i open an adobe file emailed as a zip file

My bank emailed me an important adobe file as a zip and I keep getting an error message not an adobe format or not encoded properly.  How do I open the zip file?

    Hi ferretlady,
As you mentioned that you have zip file that contains Adobe files, you need to unzip the file first and then you will be able to open the Adobe files. For information on how to unzip, please refer to the links below:

  • Cant extract .zip files?

Today i went to download some fonts for photoshop. Ive done it before and it worked but all of a sudden when i download the .zip file, the icon for it is now the photoshop icon and when i double click on the file it attempts to open in photoshop but fails saying that the type of file cant be opened there. This is probably a bit confusing but if any one knows how to help, then please do. Thank you!

I'm not sure whether you are running Windows or MacOS, but I'll go with Windows.
    Right-click on the zip icon
Choose Open with > Choose Default program
Select your zip extractor program and make sure "alway open with this program" is checked.
Click OK and your zipfile should open properly.
Make note of this tip,you can use it to set the default program for any file type.

  • Can't download .zip files

When downloading from file sharing sites, I can't download .zip files. Downloading other compressed files such as .rar is automatic upon clicking on the file. How do I change the settings to include .zip files. Thanks

Below is a link I uploaded myself. It is a few random songs I zipped and uploaded to the file sharing service Hotfile. When I attempt to go to the link myself, safari will not open the page and it also will not auto download the file as it does with other compressed files such as .rar. If I compress the file in .rar format or simply upload an MP3 to Hotfile or Rapidshare, I can click on the link and it automatically downloads.

    Works perfect on a MAC.
Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What does your code look like?
    getURL("/yourfile.zip") shouldn't create any pop-ups
