Including in Project Team Member importance

Dear All,
     I am supporting solution manager 4.0 system which somebody else configured in our environment. Currently we are in blueprinting phase and all project users are using the Document management to save documents in solution manager as well as service desk future at its full extent to log messages.
     I have been creating user accounts in su01 and also accounts in Business Partner list as Employee.
       I have just realised that there are user accounts listed in Project team members in SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN how ever there are few users created in the bigining when system is setup. I have not been given entires in that area. In the past 4 weeks there are no issues, but can anybody advice if this causes any issue or what is the possible impact ?

SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN role is for Project Manager who creates project and if Basis Team performs the tasks they should have this role assigned.
Problem resolved.

    3. What are the standard reports we can get from Solman apart from Solar_eval , Actually looking for the reports for Project status or its progress perspectivie.

    are you referring user ids here? i mean you dont have an id in the satellite system but in solution manager you have.
    In this case you shouldn't be login to the satellite system. In your Trusted RFC refer check whether current user is enabled or not.
    Please note person who is running Tcode from solar01 should have the same user id in satellite with Trusted authorizations on both systems.

  • Create Project trough enterprise project type with templates does not send notification to team member(email) when published

    Hi All,
    I encountered this issue in my client site when implementing project server 2013.
    At First I thought that this issue occurred intermittently , sometimes project creation (create project from PWA- assign resources with team member -save and publish) trigger email notification to the assigned team member and sometimes not. (new task notification)
    I have checked with our infrastructure team and verify that I use the right SMTP server address and port , and cross check with them for their side configuration (exchange) , we did not find anything wrong on both settings.
    and then we found out that the failed notification email comes from project creation using defined project templates in an enterprise project type, even from a project that consist of template schedule , we added new task on that project and assign a team
    member on that task that resulted with notification sent to the team member, but not with task that comes from templates.
    can someone help us on this issue, or is there any CU on this?

    Yes we did create the template from project professional and as far as i know,
    the only way to create template is just to save it, no option to publish the template.
    When you create a new project from template for some of the task you remove the resources then assign resource to those tasks then save and publish the project.
    <--there are no resources assigned from the template, when i assign resources (new assignment) this will not trigger notification
    Or create a new task under summary task assign resource then save and publish the task you notification sent to the resource means it is working.
    <--new task (not from template ) also trigger the notification

  • Restrict chagnes to nodes in project to assigned team member

    We have the problem in assigning the changes to nodes in project to a specific team member. To make it clear we need if there are 3 developers i want to assign dev1 to project 1 and dev2 to project 2.  Developer 1 should not be able to make any changes in project2.
    We check the option " Restrict chagnes to nodes in project to assigned team member" but still it doesnt work.

  • Sort the Shortcut Dropdownlist of Team Member Home Page in Oracle Project

    In Team Member Home Page, need to sort the values in the Shortcuts dropdown list.
    I have checked the VO(ShortcutDroplistVO), which is used as Dummy VO.
    Checked the ShortcutDroplistAM,ShortcutDroplistRN,ShortCutDroplistCO, which is attached to the Shortcut field.
    Shortcut Dropdown list values are not given in Controller class,View Object.
    I am confused how the values are populated dynamically?
    Could anyone help me to solve this issue?

    There are two ways to go ahead:
    First one:
    1. Extend controller and in processRequest get ShortcutDropListVO object
    2.get the query using vo.getQuery()
    3. Add orderby caluse to the query and set it using vo.setQuery()
    But vo.setQuery() may or may not work properly.
    Second one:
    1. Create custom VO(as required) in Jdeveloper under custom folder structure and move it into server
    2. extend controller and in processRequest attach custom VO to seeded AM (you can get sample code in many threads)
    3. get drop down bean value and attach custom VO to it using sample code

  • Standard authorization role for CRM implementation team member

    Hello,
    We are starting SAP CRM implementation project (7.0) and I would like to avoid giving sap_all authorizations to functional consultants in development environment. Unfortunetly I can't find standard customizer profiles like the ones in ERP system exists.
    So the objective is to have quite broad role or profile with no restrictions in customization and functional area. However it's important not to have Basis authorizations in this role/profile. Hope that someone can give me a hint in this direction.

    as soon as the implementation team member should also do developments my experience is that without SAP_ALL you will have much trouble. Therefore in our dev-system each consultant will have SAP_ALL authorization. Of course only in the DEV-System.

    The trouble I have is that I CANNOT allow this user to have the full suite. I am implementing software inside of a cGMP manufacturing facility (nutritional supplements). Part of our "label artwork" change control is the fact that not only are critical files locked, but also no-one in the company can edit the files even if they copied them to desktop.
    I can't allow a project manager, or executive, or admin assistant the same software capacity to edit critical files as the art dept, in the event that their changes might slip through to production.
    Now granted, I could create literal policies to compensate for this situation, but does an admin person really need Premier Pro and AfterEffects? Nope, not really. I could see an argument in favor of the document production tools, but the web and video tools are complete overkill.
    I had been hoping to implement a series of Acrobat Pro suites, to enable an easy form of document signing. I didn't want to implement any form of server based signature authentication, since our process is wholly internal and not subject to serious security concerns.  I've been forced to shelve the project for now while I investigate more options, which means adobe missed out on some sales.
    Hopefully, Creative Teams will be expanded to have more flexibility as Adobe matures their product offering.

    1. Open an AP Invoice
    2. Enter BP Code
    3. Select Service type
    4. Enter a Project Code in drop down box on Accounting tab
    5. Enter a line in the Contents; specify GL Account, amount and Tax
    Code Open Freight box
    6. Enter an amount in one of the lines
    7. Click ADD
    8. Go back to the invoice and go to the Accounting tab Click on the GL
    journal note and you can see that the line corresponding to the
    contents line has a project, but the line corresponding to the Freight
    box item does not.
    My customer users these projects when printing GL agings and the
    information is very important. Shouldn't this information be carried
    forward on all transactions on the Journal entry? Is there a way to get this information to post?

    Hi Pat,
    the project code (PC) on the marketing document may only be applied to the business partner (BP), hence the only row in the associated journal entry (JE) with this project code is that of the BP.
    You can link project codes to specific accounts (CoA -> select account -> account details -> project code) & this project code will then be assigned every time the account is found in a JE.
    If you require the project code to be applied to the freight, you may assign this project code to the account you have defined for this freight. The drawback is naturally that the project code will then  be pulled every time this freight is used, regardless of whether or not the PC is associated with the BP or not.
    It is possible to manually assign project codes to every row in a journal entry, hence this should also be possible with SDK. You might explore the possibility whether it might be possible to automatically assign the BP PC to all rows in the JE using a script.

    On my SAP Discovery Server, On the Projects screen to import and export SAP xApp Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (SAP xMII) projects.
    Under the projects listed I see one Default project, is listed as a System Project.
    I did an import and used one of the sample application, along with the ExportManifest.xml file.
    "You can create an external project structure, include it in a zip file, and import it as a new project. You do not need an ExportManifest.xml file to import a project."
    Now I see two projects listed as System Projects, is that ok, would that cause any issues? Is there any way that I could correct this?
    Note:
    If you import a project that already exists, the system overwrites the current project structure and files.
    You can import hidden projects that do not appear on the Projects screen or in the SAP xMII Workbench. System-defined projects may appear in the Projects screen and in the SAP xMII Workbench, but you cannot delete them. You can import a project with the same name as a hidden or system-defined project and overwrite its properties. If you do this, they are no longer considered to be hidden or system-defined projects.

    You could consider creating a project and exporting it to see the proper format of the zip file, including the ExportManifest.  You should find attributes in the xml for setting the description, system type, etc.

    In our projectserver2013, user is uploading the project document in project site.
    But There are no information or marking(Symbol) in PWA(Project Web App)
    So PM or team member has some difficulty to check the document in Task.
    Is there any method that user check whether the Task has document or not directly in PWA?

    I am sure I am doing something Stupid. I have a page having 3 iviews:
    1. Team Member (on top) (based of par - com.sap.pct.hcm.eeprofilegeneraldata.header)
    2. Profile Match (on bottom) (based of par - com.sap.pct.hcm.profilematchup.default)
    3. Team Viewer as Dynamic Navigation (com.sap.pct.hcm.teamviewer.default)
    I added "Everyone" group and added "End User" permission (checked the "End User" checkbox).  So now all the content (including the iViews and Page has "End User" for "Everyone").
    When the end-user views this page; he/she gets an error and in the logs the entry is:
    "com.sapportals.portal.pcd.gl.PermissionControlException: Access denied (Object(s): com.sap.portal.system/security/com.sap.portal.ep50/ep50_safety)".  The user would get "Portal Runtime Error" on the front-end/Portal iView.
    Now I added this user to the "Administrators" group and then the iViews worked perfectly.
    All the other iViews using .par or webdynpro work perfect except this one.  Your help will be highly appreiated.

  • How to remove a resource from project team without data loss

    I have a requirement that, the resource must be removed from a project team after getting DE-allocated from the project.
    If i do so, the data of the resource for that project, i.e; actual hours per task filled by the resource gets deleted, which seems not correct. The report for such projects comes out wrong.
    Is there any way to de-allocate the resource from the team while keeping all his data there in the project ?
    The basic requirement is to restrict the manager to allocate a task to a team member who is not the part of project anymore.

    If the resource has actual on the project, indeed it cannot be removed from the project team. It is just a matter of communicating with the project manager. Here is how the project manager should proceed.
    Open the project in Project Pro
    Open the "build team from enterprise" in the resource ribbon
    Select on the left side (available resources) the new resource
    Select on the right side (project resources) the deallocated resource
    Click on "replace": you'll be prompted that the resource has actuals on the project and cannot be replaced and that only the remaining work will be assigned to the new resource.
    Doing this, you'll keep the project history, but still the PM will be able to assign the deallocated resource. There is no way to prevent it, unless you deactivate the resource, but it will be at enterprise level, meaning for all projects.

    Hi there,
    We recently upgraded the system to P6 15.1 and downloaded the app P6 for iPad in order to test it. Users can login to Team Member web and P6 mobile.
    Once users logged, they are not able to see either Tasks or Timesheets owned by them. Is it necessary change any special setting within Projects tab?
    Please any suggest to show up Tasks and Timesheets on Team Member would be greatly appreciate it.

    I have researched in the Oracle Community Directory and apparently is mandatory to set in the project preferences show the activities in TM based on resource/owner or both and then I would be able to see the activities in TM.
    As I try to modify that "Set Project Preferences" button in project tab is disabled. I am doing this with a super user. How can I change that preference in my project?

  • Team Member 15.1 Installation

    In your 15.1 installation documentation, I would recommend emphasizing the importance of manually deleting the Team Member deployment from the domain before executing the installation. This is a departure from previous installations/upgrades where the OUI would uninstall the Team Member application or just updating the deployment in the domain would install the new application.  Otherwise, you will spend a lot of time chasing down a TMConnector error from your Team Member server log.
