Incoming NCP packets have been dropped due to IP fragmentati

I have installed a new Netware 6.5 SP6 server at a remote location.
There is BorderManager server already at this site. The new server will eventually replace this server and is configured with a PRIVATE and PUBLIC NIC card.
The remote location connects back to our main office via a Bordermanager VPN.
Does anyone know what might be causing the errors below ?
They started when this server came online and the messages are showing up on all my servers across the WAN.
If I shutdown the new server, the error messages go away.

Ok, I have a few questions here. First, what exactly is the VPN? You
don't explicitly say the site-to-site VPN is a Bordermanager VPN!?
*If* it is a BM VPN, check if "ALWAYS ALLOW IP FRAGMENTATION" is set to
on on any of the servers. That setting should really never be enabled.

It is a BorderManager Site to Site VPN.
ALWAYS ALLOW IP FRAGMENTATION was set to ON at both servers running the site-to-site VPN. It was also set to ON for the new server I just placed.
I turned all of them to OFF.
This seems to have stopped the NCP messages. I was receiving a message about once per minute, and now 15 minutes have gone by with no messages.
For some reason, I added the ALWAYS ALLOW IP FRAGMENTATION = ON to both Bordermanager servers when they were installed several years ago. I can't remember the exact reason they were set to ON, but there was a reason (at the time).
I will set them to OFF and see if it has any negative effects.

    Possibly loss of data (because information in online redo logs is lost):
    recover database until cancel;
    (cancel immediately)
    alter database open resetlogs; (to build a new set of redo logs)
    It's not necessary to use a backup controlfile here.

    Please advise how to remedy ASAP.

    PS: I have had full reception bars when this has occured on a 3G network in Sydney, Australia (3 Mobile).

    I have recently been having seriously problems with my connection, every day the router appears to reset/crash, sometimes once and sometimes more than several times a day.
    This was the speed I was getting in December, everything was fine.
    Now this is the speed that I am getting.
    I'm not sure how this is happening but I have been able to confirm that it isn't an issue within my household, there is only have one master socket which the router is connected to along with a wireless phone thats connected to it.

    I'd like to know if a conclusion could be brought to why my connection has been falling since December. Could it of had been a line switch? Because my connection was fine up until the start of this year.

    I see Imjolly was giving you a hand with this on another thread.
    We still need to try and get you connected via the test socket to rule out external wiring and possible swap over micro-filters too.
    I note you mentioned you have an I-plate.  Take this off, as it could be faulty, as you will then see the test socket.  If possible connect up via Ethernet and leave for a day or two and see if this stops the drops. 
    Its also important to look out for other sources of interference.  You can see a list of common offenders on this link.

    A newbie question:
    I have a source table called Events with (significant) fields that look like:
    EventIDEventNameBeginDateEndDateDaysOfWeekModifyDate
    These data ranges can be quite long, and there's an exception table if the Event isn't being held on a given day
    ExceptionIDEventIDExceptionDate
    I need to flatten this data into a target Event_Instance table of individual days:
    EventInstIDMasterEventIDEventNameDateDayOfWeek
    I'm going to populate the target by combining Event source (filtered by modify date to only grab updates and additions) with a SQL table that creates a range of days, join that with the exception table, and filter based on no match in the exception table. That part's easy.
    The problem I'm having is what do do when an Exception is removed or updated (Events are never removed - just canceled). There's no ModifyDate to look at. I know I need to create a buffer table to track changes, but once I identify execptions (in a Query Transform) that have been added since the last ETL, I don't see how to remove those Event_Instances. The two only solutions I can come up with is to wipe the entire Event_Instance table and rebuild with every ETL, or to add an 'action' field to Event_Instance, updateit to 'D' for those rows that need to be removed and then execute a SQL command to delete those rows once done.. I know there must be a better, incremental way to do this. TIA!

    Your Mobileme galleries should be listed in the library pane on the left. How about creating a new album in the main library and dragging the images from a gallery to the album. Then delete the gallery and recreate it from the album.

  • How Many Features Have Been Dropped From FCE 3.5 ?

    I tend to expect new versions (of anything) to have additional features, not fewer.
    So when I was testing FCE 3.5 and discovered there appeared to be no Digital Cinema Desktop Preview, I was rather surprised and wondered whether any other features had been quietly dropped.

    I just checked on my Intell I-mac 20" in FCE 3.5 and to my relief it just was there, where it allways was; the Digital Cinema Desktop Preview - Main. And it works, allthough the play-back is a little shaky with fast moving objects. But it indeed looks great on my 20". The videocard is an ATY RadeonX1600 PCIe, so I don't know about the AGP story. That seems not to be the problem. I do hope everybody will find things working as usual, including the lucky folks with the new 24" machines. Just let us know.

    Look at the log created in SM35 for the batch you created. It shows the document numbers. Also look in SM37 at the log of the run and at the bottom you'll see documents where the postings went. If ran in the foreground page to the bottom and it shows the postings documents.

Contacted verizon rep...reorder my phone again..but sorry we cannot give the same price as quoted on 21April...even though...its our mistake...Ok...Ok..what a surprise..but we can do this...after 65 minutes...found a price that was a little bit more...fine...just order the phone....I reordered phone on 28April...on the April 29...no email..so I can Verizon for the 4times in a few days..sorry your order was delay due to our Fraud dept. OK...talked to fraud dept...ok..account is good..will release phone and ship. OK...Next day, no email with deliver confimation. Contact Verizon 5 times now...sorry..your order was cancelled...YES...cancelled again...2nd time now...but we can reorder...OK...sorry but we cannot honor that price that was quoted..really...agent messed up...again...but we can do this for you....I don't understand...your mistake...ALL the times...

    VZW will not guarantee service inside of any structure. There are just too many factors. If the problem is inside then you might want to look at one of the following:
    1.) Network Extender (may cause issues for others in a condo or apartment style setting)
    2.) A Google Voice Number (Free with a Gmail email address), downloading Google Hangouts Dialer and forwarding your calls to the GVN so that you can make and receive calls over Wi-Fi.

    I Have a refurbished iPhone 5 that is less than a year old (apple replaced my first one due to a battery fault) but this one has all of a sudden become unresponsive most times and a purple haze has come thru the background on the lCd. The cursor goes abit cranky sometimes too and jumps from Window to window?! It has never been dropped or screen has never been replaced either no exposure to water or sun. This happened after I upgraded to the new iOS 8.1. I don't think it was the update but I've never had good results from updating the iPhone anyway..
    HELP?? I have an appt with Apple tomorrow but don't know if I can wait that long!!

We have an outstanding balance (though we have received no past due notice via mail, email, or text and make regular payments every month) that I would love to pay, but our bank account number was stolen, so we can't access our account until Monday. Because we were unable to pay our outstanding balance, we were told we can't order the phones today during the special promotion (that ends today). No one can help us, though we have no way of doing anything until Monday when our bank reopens and can reimburse us for the money that was stolen from us. No one in customer service can help us (they can't process the order but not ship until after we make payment on Monday, they won't honor today's promotion on Monday due to our special circumstance, nothing). They stated that "corporate" makes the rules and they have no idea how I can reach corporate to discuss the matter. Without the promotion, we will be charged full price for the phones on Monday, which will cost us an additional $300.00. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Within a wk one of the new iPhones started turning on and of like 10 –15 times a day. Wk 2 it turned off and would not turn on again . It was my sons who was in college at the time so we talked and he took it in to a Verizon store where he was told I need to come in since the account was in my name. He was away from home , Verizon could see on account it was his phone they said it was not abused, they could not even turn it on , they sold me the phone give him another phone maybe even a loaner till he gets another. So now I need to go to store and explain to 3 different people this is my phone and my son has it and I need a new one. what a waste of time after about 2 hrs and talking to different people and yes they said there were notes on his account from other person he had talked to from different store. So I finally walk out with a receipt in hand and being told I would have a new phone in a couple days. As I sat in my vehicle thinking this is stupid I looked at my receipt and noticed it said droid on it so back into Verizon I went. The salesman said that’s what your son has on his account. My son had activated a friends old phone so he has one since VERIZON REFUSED to give him one. Another hr 3 people and yes they can see he had a new iPhone and notes on it from other store. Sometimes sorry just doesn't do it. I was now late for a appointment . Now I walk out and have been told I will get a new iPhone in the mail in about 2 wk Yes 2 wks   again I bought it there just give me a new one and you send old one back. I will also get a new droid that I have to send back because they said they cant cancel it  . In about 3 days I get the Droid and sent it back Verizon mistake and a waste of my time . Do you realize how much of my time you have wasted ? do you care? O what is Your Policy ? How many Billion did you make last year ? I am Locked into a new 2 yr contract .     Simple process. If an iPhone go to the Apple Store and not Verizon
    the phone from Verizon will be a refurbished device and not new unless under the 14 day worry free guarantee

    Hi, I have had my ipad air for about a month.  The other day I took it out of its cover and it was splintered from the top with downward cracks.  It is new and under warranty so I rang the support team.  They told me that it would cost about €120 but could be repaired on the spot and they made me an appointment at the local genius bar.  I got there and they told me that I had dropped it or banged it or something.  I said I had not, they insisted that I must have done.  I repeated several times that I had not - it was obvious they did not believe me, they said I must have done.  They then told me they never repaired or replaced broken glass in any ipads, that the man on the 'Support' had been wrong.  They always replaced the whole ipad at a cost of €300.  I was devastated at not being believed and at the amount of money they were asking for.  I left and rang the support again.  I was told their system was down but to call on monday to get a quote for the reparation, I could send it to my home insurance company and they would undoubtedly cover the repair.  I asked how long this was all going to take because, I was in the middle of a big project and this was taking up my time, and also I needed the ipad for my work.  They told me it would be done in a minute.  I rang on the Monday and I was told it would take up to 5 days to send but probably it would arrive sooner (it is now thursday, I have received nothing).  I then rang my household insurance, a big company - and they told me they had never heard of such a cover.  I asked if this was because I had a very basic policy, they said, no it wasn't that - I didn't have a basic policy I had quite thorough policy, but they didn't know of a policy in any comany that would cover this sort of damage.  I was stunned - yet again I had been given false information and false hope by apple.  Yet again I was let down.  I then decided to do a further investigation on the internet and discovered a long trail of comments on Apple Forum of people who have also had splintering and cracking of the ipad air glass for no reason whatsoever.  Some have commented that the glass could be thinner in order to reduce the weight, some have said that the splintering could be caused by a weakness in the casing at the top where it is plastic (the ones that take sims) that might make it more flexible and therefore liable to crack.
    All of the posts and complaints on the apple forum and elsewhere seem to point to a design fault.  However throughout all this I have been mislead by apple support staff constantly who all say different things, I have virtually been accused of lying by denying that my ipad received any kind of impact by apple staff and I have been left feeling incredibly frustrated and upset by the total lack of any kind of real help by Apple.  All this despite being acomplet apple user in my business for the last 25 years, where I have never come across this attitude towards me as a customer before.
    When the screen on my iphone broke, it was because I fell in the street while I was talking on the telephone, it flew out of my hand and smashed on the pavement.  I was rolling around in agony, while my son was holding up the smashed telephone wailing 'Mama, you've smashed your iphone!!!'  This of course, I blamed on noone but myself - it broke because it fell, I paid an arm and a leg without protest to get it repaired.
    This is not the case with my new ipad air.  It has splintered for no good reason at all - and noone at Apple seems to want to help me or to care!
    I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me if there is anything else I can do to ge this matter resolved?

    If it was a refurb replacing one that was under warranty, the warrany is good until the original warranty expires or 90 days from replacement, whichever is longer. In either event, it should still be covered if you've only had it for a month. (assuming you're in the US here). You can try to restore it as a NEW device rather than restoring from your backup, but this sounds like a hardware failure... I think. I'm not sure what you mean by "the top half of the screen slides". If you mean only the top half is touch sensitive, how can you determine that? You wouldn't be able to slide to unlock if that were the case...

    A Fix for "Your network preferences have been changed by another application" Error 
    In the Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/ folder delete the following:
    com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
    NetworkInterfaces.plist
    preferences.plist
    com.apple.nat.plist
    You will have to re-configure all your network settings since deleting.

    Use Software Update to update your OS to last version of Tiger.  Install all the other updates that goes along w/it.
