Incomming messages -9 of 9 @ 0KB/s- every time I hit the get mail button

This isn't the first time this has happened and it seems to come and go all by itself. In this case it's showing "receiving 9 of 9" but I've seen 2 of 2, 12 of 12, etc. I've tried repairing permissions, running virus software (NAV 11), and just about everything else I can think of just short of reloading Snow Leopard. It doesn't seem to affect anything (nor do my message totals change) but I find it odd and somewhat disturbing that my mail is doing something I have no explanation for.

Does the issue persist when testing iTunes in another user account?

I have received the same solution as you gave above, from the tech team, but cant find the correct file to add the "CopyPlugins.vbs script." to....I get an error message telling me to try again and chose the file adobe indesign CC, and yet that's what I'm doing. There must be an instruction missing for finding the correct file.

Why does my safari crash every time I hit the to open another tab?

Every time I hit the + in the upper right hand corner on Safari to open a new tab, it crashes and closes out. This happened after I plugged my iPad into my computer to sync it. Does anyone have an idea what happened. I tried turning the iPad off and back on but that did not fix it.

There is more than just the plist to delete for AppleWorks. They must all be deleted at the same time to be effective. To delete AppleWorks’ preference files, go to HD > Users > Library > Preferences. Find and delete the file com.apple.appleworks.plist. Find and open the folder AppleWorks in this Preferences folder, then delete all of the enclosed files (with the exception of the Button Bar Preferences if you have customized the Button Bars). AppleWorks will recreate the preference files as it needs them.

What is your Aperture version? And since when are you haveíng this problem? Did this start, after you imported photos or updated software? Did you move your Aperture library or your original image files? Did Aperture crash?
Does it only happen when you are working in your main Aperture library, or also when you are using a different Aperture library?
As a test, create a new Aperture library and and try to adjust an image there. Does it work?

Click on it, choose Get Info from the File menu, and check the format.
If it's formatted as NTFS, reformat it as MS-DOS, exFAT, or Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as desired, or install software such as Paragon NTFS on the computer.
If it's formatted as FAT32 or exFAT, use the Disk Utility's Repair Disk command on it; this may also happen for a flash drive which is about to fail.
If it's formatted as Mac OS Extended, click Authenticate and provide your administrator password, or change the permissions on that specific folder in its Get Info window.

I would try going into your System Preferences and reset your keyboard settings to the default setting. It is possible that somehow your shift key got bound to something it shouldnt have been.

How can I prevent a new tab being created every time I hit the Home Key in Firefox 4?

I recently installed Firefox 4. I have it set to open two tabs, Google and Yahoo, for my homepage. When I open a new site in either of them the tab assumes the name of the new site. At the end of my search I hit the Home Key to return to my two original tabs. My two original tabs appear, but so does an additional tab...a duplicate of one of the original two. Each time I hit the Home Key another tab is created. This is annoying and I would like to know how to prevent it from happening. Thanks.
